Crying this was in the 2nd edit of my first post and I decided to show it again.

for the nth time, we are getting shiwang agenda from official capacity again!

three-body community's weibo account just released these amazing character posters for the 1 year anniversary. i absolutely love the details of everything, and of course the very very very strong shiwang agenda:

wang miao and shi qiang's posters are next to each other

there's a saying "自古红蓝出CP/since ancient times, red and blue are colors for a couple" among chinese shippers, and shiwang posters are exactly matching red and blue. general chang's blue doesn't really count because it's a much darker shade, and obviously a reference to ADC.

shiwang posters are the only 2 posters with the same top pattern referring to the countdown. i love the detail that there's a border around shi qiang's countdown for obvious reasons. it's a slight pity that 1018:44:00 is not used here, but that might make the shiwang agenda WAY TOO obvious.

i also can't believe they actually showed shi qiang's countdown timer (the white shape on his chest) on the character silhouette.

wangfujing church on wang miao's poster represents when shiwang first start to bond. it's the scene that shi qiang remembers 200 years later in canon. project guzheng on shi qiang's poster is the last major event shiwang both participate in. it's something that won't exist without either of them (eg. shi qiang coming up with the "devilish" idea using wang miao's invention).

everything on their posters just refers back to something they experienced together. and if i ask someone who never watches the show to find two matching posters from the 9, it's gotta be these two.

2. I've asked myself this question a lot. I think I'd like to live in a city, but not directly inside it, but not in the suburbs. That doesn't leave me many options, I know. I think it's more dependent on what stage of my life I'm in. I think I'd like to be in larger city for the earlier part of my life, but towards the end especially past 40, I'd like to move out somewhere less urban, and probably out west somewhere. My dream is to retire in Santa Fe, so that's probably where I'll end up. Though semi-rural Northeast isn't bad either, I love Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

9. Kinda hard, I don't really have one that comes to mind. I have a really nice pair of Aeropostale jeans that are super worn in and soft, they're a classic. My dad's old hiking pants that I've taken, we've searched for years for pants that as good as those and have never found any, it's a discontinued model too. My highschool letterman jacket is my favorite thing to wear around the house in the winter. My red crocs are a classic. Maybe certain pajama shirts. Merino wool hiking socks (the SmartWool ones).

10. I fucking love my name. It's extremely well balanced. It's exotic to white people, but it's common enough back in India that I can run into it in the wild, which is always fun. One vowel in my name is an "e" instead of the conventional "a", which means my name is completely unique. I've seen my name in many many places but never with my spelling. I think I have a baller set of initials. If I had a middle name it would ruin it, so glad I don't. 7 letters in the first name, 5 in the last, 13 overall. Delicious. Last name starts with A so I'm comfortably in the front of most lists. I'm super super proud of my name and I would never change it. Maybe if I get married I'd conjoin my last name to hers with a hyphen, but even then mine would have to come first because I refuse to lose my beginning of the alphabet privileges. Honestly, I wouldn't even want her to change her name.

11. I've had various mentors over the years. My mom and dad obviously. My older cousin for more juvenile stuff. My uncle (her dad) was a huge mentor for me when I was in middle and highschool, especially in academic stuff. One cheating scandal and messy divorce later, I'm not too keen on taking other advice from him. But probably my strongest mentor/role model is my highschool history teacher, Mr. Reynolds. I love that man and I aspire to be like him. Strongest moral backbone I've ever seen, understand people and children like no other, his impact on my life cannot be understated.

13. I actually sleep pretty well once I fall asleep. There was a point about a month ago where I kept waking up in the night, especially at like 5:00 am, but I sleep deprived myself to the point where I started sleeping like a log again lol.

17. my list isn't huge, it's just too personal. but short answer is yes. not as many people as you'd think, maybe only like 2 or 3. even the ones i miss i don't miss super intensely. the feeling of "missing people" isn't one that I feel like I've felt super intensely in my life.

18. I remember one of my first-ever sleepover's it was in 1st grade at my friend Juan Manuel's house. I was laying down in his bed in the dark and we were both kinda scared for some reason, and all of a sudden he screams "GHOST!" and I jump out of bed, run to the door, open it, and just stand there panting as his parents come running lol.

21. I don't know what one thing I'm most thankful for. There are a lot of things and I can't really recall them on command. For now, let's just say I'm thankful for the spirit of perseverance, for my inherent sense of curiosity, and for all the wonderful people in my life who have given me so many opportunities to succeed, and the drive in me that keeps me sojourning forward .

25. I don't have a prefernece for one or the other really. I like how consistent pencil writing is, but it obviously needs a quality eraser. Pens are wildly inconsistent, but a solid pen is a real pleasure to write with. I mostly use pen nowadays though.

28. I'm extremely unconcerned with my legacy. I want the people who are in my life while I'm living to enjoy my presence and care about me. I want to live a life that makes me happy and content. I want to maybe leave behind some physical, tangible thing that will last long after my death. It can be as trivial as a park bench. But that's enough. I really don't care about what happens after death or about any post-death legacy. I'll be dead! I'll have bigger things to do lmao.

29. Actually I hate reading I think all books are evil and should be burned muahahahah. I haven't read much recently, I need to pick something up for the break, I haven't read in ages. Or seen a movie. My life has been shit recently.

33. I got lots, so here's one. Old Spice Bearglove and the smell of mildew immediately remind me of the happiest time of my life, CTY summer camp in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I can't use Bearglove for anything now because I don't want to ruin my memory association with it.

35. If money was not a factor? Oh brother. I'd do everything. Everything. I'd visit everything, experience everything, buy everything, eat everything, see everything, do everything. I feel like it doesn't get communicated across in my personality a lot but the breadth of my interests is massive. I can find something that fascinates me in every field, every industry, every niche, every thing in the world. The scope I'm imagining right now is so massive I don't even know how to put it into words. I'd simply try to experience every possible thing there is to experience, no matter how exotic or mundane. And after a couple years of doing that I'd spend a couple years just hiking and camping. Then I'd buy a nice little place in Santa Fe, a nice little place in New England, and I'd switch between the two as the seasons change. I'd spend the rest of my days reading, watching movies, eating good food, drinking beer, and curling up on a couch with my wife. Oh yeah the time I spend doing everything will probably be doubled because we'll have to satisfy all of my wife's interests, curiosities too. Cause I love her hehe

40. I actually do want tattoos. One of the one's I really want is a skeleton of an Allosaurus in a death pose, I'd get it on my right shoulder but big, like almost big enough to be a sleeve. I also want a tattoo of my favorite little guy that I like to doodle whenever I'm doing a test or writing something. I'd want him on the crook of my forearm so I could see him when I'm writing something on paper.

Some interesting stuff in here, though I feel like a lot of what she says can be a bit better interpreted with additional context and knowledge, but overall a good reading imo.

A quick summary of her main points:

Harry & Zayn: overall very strong feelings, a lot of questions and conflicts. H has a lot of love for Zayn and feels like he's had to deal with a lot of shit; Zayn gave a lot to H and as a result he sees Zayn as a martyr. He has some guilt towards Zayn. She says H feels like they're family, and that Z+H have a karmic connection from a past life and were destined to meet again in this life. Overall a very deep connection with a lot of depth and difficulties.

Harry & Liam: H saw Liam as a rescuer, someone who was very direct, a straight forward person, and that they spoke a lot, Liam being very communicative and blunt. There's a lot of warmth between them. They had some conflicts but Liam would still always talk to Harry even when they didn't see eye to eye. Harry & Niall: super strong connection. True friendship between them, she's mentioned before that they have a friendship soulmate bond, and that comes thru again in this reading. H admires Niall's life perspectives and positivity and used to go to him to work thru things. They've been thru a lot together, a lot of heavy shit. She said they used to spend a lot of time talking into the night till they fell asleep together. TW for the next section - she mentions that the two of them have some industry-related information that has helped them but is also really heavy. She mentions it involves someone of great high status, and she sees a drink, or putting something in a drink, in a location of desert-like climate, she also got the name Justin Bieber mixed in this. It's overall unclear, but she hints at it being some sort of dark industry thing, and tbh this just screams abuse to me. She mentioned that only the two of them were involved in this, that the 2 of them were taken to this place where they gained this information about this powerful person, not the other boys, and it's something that weighed very heavily on them but ultimately helped them (?), very creepy af vibes. - that being said, I remind you that this is a tarot reading and as such is highly subjective and based on interpretation, and that this info is very surface level and convoluted at best, or misinterpreted at worst.

Harry & Louis: H sees Louis as God. A lot of benevolence coming from Louis, H sees him as compassionate and kind. There's a lot of admiration that he feels for L. H's relationship with Louis is the strongest, they had the strongest bond amongst all of the boys. For Louis she got "look who's in charge", that he takes charge, takes control of situations, that he's someone who manifests and brings good things in - and H really looks up to Louis because of this. That Louis is "slow and steady", and someone who's worked thru a lot of disappointments in his life, through a lot of pain. That Louis smiles in very difficult situations. H saw Louis go thru a lot of sadness and difficulties with other people, where they weren't honest or true to Louis and tried to imprison him, and keep him down, hold him down, but they weren't able to. That Louis is a very resilient and transformative soul. That he's been through a lot of despair, poverty and grief and come out strong on the other side. That Louis has a message for people. That H feels like Louis always has messages for him in everything, that he has a lot to learn from Louis, that Louis has a lot of wisdom. H feels like Louis is a very deep thinker. H has a motherly energy towards Louis, that he's had to talk Louis off the edge thru all the difficulties he's been thru. H has a very considerate, careful and sweet energy for Louis. That Louis has been thru some really shitty, sketchy and shady things thru life, and that Louis is a very strong warrior, but there were some moments when H had to talk Louis off the ledge while dealing with very difficult, tortuous thoughts. That H helped Louis during these difficult times, and brought him back, helped him see things in perspective. That they went thru some really difficult times emotionally, specifically Louis, and that H helped even when it was hard due to his proximity and how well he understood Louis. And that H brought in strength and said 'no we will get thru this, it'll be ok'. H has a motherly vibe. That HL have a really strong bond because they got to know each other slow and steadily, their relationship was very steady. They went thru some really difficult energies. That Louis helped H tap intro his creative side through reading. Their relationship has the energy of a marriage. That they felt like a married couple. That they care very deeply for each other, and when one of them would get an offer they'd expect the other to receive something as well. And they'd speak out if they felt like the other wasn't getting something fair, or not being treated right. They defended each other. I mean, fun fact here is dependent on what the focus is meant to be. On the meta side of things:

Second woman to join the X-Men

Started out more feminist than Jean, before later writers and editors screwed her over

One of the first, if not THE first, case of mutants combining powers to do something great (flinging Krakoa into space, after powered up by Storm, Cyclops, and Havok)

Has a history of being the first to do or introduce something interesting, then people at Marvel giving those things to other characters because they seem to think she doesn't deserve them (latest case being X-Men 97 letting Rogue take over all the Genosha genocide storyline while Lorna was completely left out of it)

That's a handful of that kind. But if you want fun facts on the more playful side of things:

Lorna COULD use her powers to use the internet, use pseudo-psychic powers (e.g. telepathy, influencing memory), affecting visual spectrums, put out fires and more. Lots of modern research and applications for her powers that go beyond flinging metal around.

We've never seen Lorna's adoptive parents, the Danes, and the only direct thing we know about them is that they adopted her after her mom and stepfather died. Though you do have to wonder why Lorna would feel the need to hide her green hair prior to learning she's a mutant, and why she never put two and two together that it must mean she's a mutant.

There was a short what if strip at one point that basically suggested that if Lorna had been on the space ship that had been the impetus for Jean connecting with the Phoenix Force, she could have guided the ship from the inside and the whole Dark Phoenix saga could've been avoided.

Lorna very briefly had a red and gold uniform that got nixed because of real world attitudes that it was "too showy" for her. Think the uproar over Sue Storm having that Fantastic Four costume with the 4 boob window, but even tamer.

Fantastic Force in the late 00s presented an AU far future descendant of Lorna named Psionics, which was the first occasion of seeing a character based on her genetics.

There's a lot of in the gaps headcanon stuff out there for various periods and depictions. Like, one I've thrown out is that perhaps the godawful panels of Lorna afraid of Sabretooth and wishing Havok would save her could be explained as Malice already possessing her and being an asshole by pretending to be Lorna while acting that way. Or that perhaps some of her actions like getting with Havok happened because Xavier used his powers to put them together out of fear that she would otherwise become like Magneto.

If you're new to Lorna, you should know the coffee thing is entirely new. It started with Duggan writing her on X-Men after she won the X-Men vote, and while it's a fun quirk, sadly some writers started to misuse it by making that her whole character instead of exploring meaningful things with her.

Dauterman's said before how Lorna's energy hair in Dark Seduction partially inspired Scarlet Witch's hair for the Hellfire Gala.

To my knowledge, Lorna was the first character to utter the now famous words "Magneto Was Right" within a flashback to the Genoshan genocide.

There's some debate as to whether or not Lorna was the first character to have a secondary mutation, which tends to be attributed to other characters. This is based on when Zaladane stole her powers, and she ended up with entirely different ones. For my money's worth, I don't think of those powers as actually Lorna's. I headcanon that they were powers forced on Lorna by Zaladane to hurt and humiliate her.

Lorna's currently the youngest living child of Magneto.

I can't think of anything else at the moment. I might add to this if I think of more, and I encourage other fans to toss things in too.

Decided to put together a list of early/mid 00's Mario fancomics that some of you may have missed. Blanket warning that these are from the early internet - I didn't re-read all of these for this post, but it's possible there's some stuff in here that didn't age so well.

Neglected Mario Characters Comix (1998 - 2004?)

Neglected Mario Characters was a sub website of Super Mario Bros HQ, a popular Mario fansite from back in the day. Created by Jay Resop with several other contributors. Widely regarded as the world's first sprite-based webcomic. Several different series - highly recommend the EVIL-Luigi Story to get started. I always really liked the VGF Telethon comic as well. Original website is dead, unfortunately, and the link leads to a mirror. This is like an internet time capsule.

Mario Adventures (2005 (maybe earlier?) - 2016)

Created by @mrbmwhite. This was my absolute FAVORITE Mario comic when i was a kid. There are still jokes from this comic stuck in my vernacular. I used to read this with my friends in the computer room :,) Unfortunately as far as I can tell, there is no way to read comics #30-#44, due to the death of flash. (which sucks, because they were super fucking funny.) You can read the oldest ones linked above on deviantart, and you can read the newer ones right here on tumblr. I hope you'll check this one out specifically, it's really special to me.

Once Removed (2008 - 2010) (unfinished)

Created by Pimmy. This was a fantastic comic about an AU where Luigi is raised by Kamek. I've always LOVED the way this is drawn, it definitely influenced my art style. Read at your own risk, or you'll be just as sad as I am that it never continued.

Brotherly Love (2005 - 2010) (unfinished)

Created by saiiko, based on a fanfic by Robin Lee. guys, this is the OG dark edgy Mario comic, okay? Luigi gets bitten by a mutant koopa and turns into a murderous Were-Koopa! I'm pretty sure this comic is what introduced me to dA, which I think is appropriate.

The 3 Little Princesses (2008-2009)

Created by Yves Bourgelas (TheBouryman). Okay, you've probably heard of this one. I remember it being super popular, but I never see anyone talking about it! Princess Rosalina crash lands on Peach's lawn, and a sleepover ensues. Super fun and really high quality.

Super Mario Brothers (2007 - present) (hiatus)

Created by Nintendrawer. Do people on tumblr know about this one?? This is most definitely the longest running mario fan comic. It goes on hiatus but it ALWAYS comes back eventually. No one does it like Nintendrawer.

First Nights at Freddy's - Movie Soundtrack/Score in Order

Because I am a nerd and wanted to figure out for myself which songs appeared where, I have gone through and made a playlist of First Nights at Freddy's that combines the score and the soundtrack, and puts them in the order they appear. The playlist length seems excessive because some songs have only a portion played (e.g. "Hey-O!" is over a minute, but is only seen in the film for seven seconds; the track "Hiccups" includes the intro it had when it was in the individual "Web of Lies" video during the "Previously on..." bit, but that's absent here, etc), but as near as I can tell from listening while going through things, this is what I've come up with.

Coldplay - Moon Music

When Coldplay released their latest album, Moon Music, vocalist Chris Martin said that they were going to release 12 albums and then retire. Moon Music is album 10, so people have a couple more albums to wait, but a lot of music fans will probably rejoice when one of rock’s least liked bands calls it a day. Well, least liked now, because Coldplay used to be huge, at least from 2000 to 2010, but since 2011’s Mylo Xyloto, they’ve taken a dive. I reviewed their last album, 2021’s Music Of The Spheres, and I didn’t like that album very much. It wasn’t outright awful, but it was too bland, uninspired, and boring. They went for a huge pop sound that had themes of coming together, unity, and things like that, which was good for the time, but they didn’t do anything with those themes, and it just felt like it was a little pretentious, or at least halfbaked.

When Coldplay is good, they’re really good, especially some of their early records, but I did enjoy 2019’s Everyday Life, where they went into some eclectic directions. Music Of The Spheres was a generic pop album that tried to bite off way too much than it could chew, so I was skeptical for whatever they did next. Moon Music worried me from its first couple of singles, because they were more or less what we’ve had before, but in context of the whole album, they work quite well. This album returns Coldplay to their late 00s run with some huge, anthemic, and over the top songs, but they continue with the ambient sounds they attempted to interweave into their sound with Music Of The Spheres.

At 44 minutes, one could argue that Moon Music is a little too long, but there are only a couple of longer songs that show up at the beginning, middle, and end. Despite the few issues this album has, which I’ll talk about later, I happen to really enjoy this thing. Moon Music is the best Coldplay album since Mylo Xyloto, even though that album doesn’t have a great reputation, either. The bombast is here, and on songs like “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” “Jupiter,” and,” “iAMM,” and “Good Feelings” are really catchy, fun, and huge sounding. The title track, “One Love,” and “🌈” (I hate to type that out, but we’re at a time in history where emojis can be song titles) are longer and more ambient. The latter is a very ambient cut that’s interspliced with a speech from the late Maya Angelou, and it sounds great, despite going on a little too long in spots.

The album has its peaks and valleys, but the valleys aren’t bad, they’re just not as high energy and let the album breathe a bit. Some of the album ends up running a bit too long for its own good, but the highs are worth it, honestly. Chris Martin sounds great, and even his lyrics are a bit better here, although still being extremely cheesy in a lot of spots, too. The difference here, however, is that it’s the right amount of cheese, and you really feel what he’s saying and how he’s saying it. There’s also less of a fake positive exterior that the band exudes sometimes, too, and the lyrics are still hopeful, but there is a hint of darkness there. It’s an interesting touch, compared to their overly positive stuff.

In terms of their body of work, the jury’s still out on whether or not this matches up with their other material, because I’ve seen a lot of mixed reactions on the album. Some have been positive, but the rest have been middling, versus outright bad. This is a step up compared to Music Of The Spheres, and it’s the most I’ve enjoyed a Coldplay album in years, at least out of what I’ve actively listened to. I’m curious to see how fans are reacting to it, but as someone that’s a casual fan, I really like this. I don’t know if it’s an album of the year contender, but even then, I’ve been coming back to this thing quite a lot, warts and all.

Long before, radio stations already broke my Nadiege listener's heart with their songs. The melody reigned supreme. At first, however, the idea did not arouse enthusiasm because of the commercials. I hated listening to the radio for this reason. And the program or the announcer announced; Here comes a DJ returning from a season in Europe, he brought songs in his luggage, which he tries to sell without success. And another DJ was hired to run the radio, I was already fed up and decided to invest in something new, buy a cell phone and look for commercial-free radio apps. Before, however, Rádio OiFM, in Rio de Janeiro (English music), was already starting to say goodbye, "and my happiness ended". It was an immense success - especially among housewives like me - the radio stations guaranteed my happiness and had high audience ratings and soon became privileged showcases for sponsors. The production brought together a huge contingent of professionals - professionals from Rádio JP alone brought together more than 15 DJs per week, some coming from other countries, others trained by the radio itself. The most powerful vehicle of mass communication, radio ended up functioning as a fertile source of talent that would be recruited by tv?

I write down the timestamps, but I watch Transformers Prime on Stan (an Australian streaming service) so they may be slightly off.

ALSO! I try my best to note points for every character, but tend to get a little caught up by Bee (although I think I do a pretty good job with the notes regardless) so do be warned.

00:12 - parallel between Megatron in the last episodes and Starscream now.

00:46 - Megatron noticed the parallel too.

01:10 - one of those moments where being a smexy bicth comes second to his job as a doctor.

01:19 - honestly, Knockout not pushing it shows just how well he knows Starscream.

01:33 - I thought the dark energon was necessary because Megatron needed energon, but his body was no longer comparable to accept anything other than dark.

03:04 - I hardly even noticed Bee was there.

03:10 - the thinker.

03:16 - But Megatron was dead during the Skyquake episode. He wouldn’t know that Skyquake would require dark energon. Understandable why they’d assume it’s Megatron, but why would they assume Megatron’s there for Skyquake?

04:03 - this girl is on fiiiireeeeee + giving off ‘friends on the other side’ rn

04:18 - shut up, the way way Bee looks at Optimus and the cheetah meme have the same energy.

04:22 - so they truly are skipping over that angst? It appears I have a future project.

04:23 - Ratchet is the only one who doesn’t put on a game face when he’s addressed. We know why, but it’s nice to note.

04:30 - there’s something so perfect about the way Optimus jumps straight to explaining his decision and turns around to face Ratchet while doing so rather than pulling a classic ‘yes, because we need you’

04:35 - Once again, refreshing to see a character assigned to a position they’re not traditionally assigned to, but still showing passion and respect.

04:39 - How did Bulkhead not realise Miko was up to something?

04:42 - She’s drawing Optimus fighting Megatron.

04:46 - Glad to know someone’s paying attention.

04:52 - I love the way the bots walk, especially Optimus and Bee. There’s something so proper and powerful about it.

05:06 - LMAO

05:14 - Let’s pretend that Arcee couldn’t hear them.. why wouldn’t they yell out to her so she could stop Miko or close the ground bridge before Miko got there?

05:22 - Miko, Miko, Miko… frustrating af.

05:44 - they all have similar walk cycles, but none sync up.

05:53 - Bee dropping back as they walk along could be multiple things, him getting protected, acting as rear support, could also be because he’s the smallest but is walking at a similar pace to the others, meaning he’s covering less ground. Obviously I could be overthinking it too, but if we go that route these notes are completely useless.

05:55 - If you pause it at the right time Ratchet’s head makes it look like Optimus has a huge ass. (Unfortunately I did not screenshot it at the right time)

06:06 - my dude didn’t think to even ONCE call out to the bots and go ‘just so you know, we’re here’

06:18 - that would be my worst nightmare. Don’t have FOMO, just care about my phone.

06:25 - HO MAMMA

06:34 - the fading between the red and purple is so seemless and a nice detail

06:41 - I just need this screenshot to be witnessed. Why is he standing like that?? WHY DOES HE STAND LIKE THAT FOR SO LONG?

06:52 - this line’s so confusing when you forget that his arms are apart of his wings when he’s in his vehicle mode.

07:16 - AHHH THE HEAD TILT!!! Seeing that we’re looking at them from an angle, Bee’s most likely behind Bulkhead, meaning he cannot actually see the humans, but can hear them. + everyone else’s reactions tooooo!

07:27 - While everyone else looks at the ground bridge, Bee looks at the others before the bridge.

07:30 - Ratchet looking fabulous rn.

07:33 - 1. The way his voice echos is a really nice touch. 2. Ratchet using the same tone a parent would rn has me cryin.

08:06 - Starscream went into the ground bridge around the same time the kids did. Why wasn’t he caught?

08:14 - the longer that shot went for, the more I laughed.

08:26 - As soon as Starscream pulls out the dark energon it plays Arcee screaming ‘Tailgate’. Starscream has nothing to do with what happened to Tailgate. I think they were just reusing the sound from when Airachnid killed Tailgate and forgot to edit out the voice line. Upon evaluation, I do believe they’re different sounds. I don’t know why her voice line plays.

08:51 - Bee’s so cute until he breaks the fourth wall. + height difference my beloved.

09:03 - I don’t understand how the bots weren’t affected. Let’s say Starscream got to the otherside, but they kids didn’t, fine. But the bots were still caught in the explosion?

09:26 - You know that would be absolutely traumatising.

10:09 - … what was the point of insulting him?

10:14 - This is what makes it really confusing. How did Skyquake get caught in the shadow zone, but the other bots didn’t??

11:16 - Karma’s a bicth, ain’t she? Jack and Raf didn’t deserve it, but Miko totally did.

12:00 - God do I hate Miko rn. + Aw, Raf’s reaction

12:45 - Yes. In the rocks that are apparently not with you in the Shadowzone.

12:51 - you can hear Optimus trying not to show his panic and worry… and failing.

13:35 - Not ‘nothing’. He picked up. He’s alive. It’s that there was no response.

14:05 - kinda disappointed that they didn’t have any other way to message the bots. Feels like there should be a way for the bots to message them and they message the bots, especially for situations where silence is necessary or Bee has to tell Miko or Jack something.

16:10 - Starscream’s arm is enormous compared to the kids.

It was alright. I’m not one for the human focused episodes, but it’s alright and a good way to introduce the Shadow Realm (despite how confusing it may have been.)

I thought the way Optimus was portrayed in the episode was good, showing how he cared for the children despite not really being allowed to express worry for their safety. I will admit that Bulkhead, Arcee and especially Bumblebee’s reactions to their charge’s going missing were too weak from any standpoint.

I thought that the Starscream plot line was quite weak as well and I don’t really understand what they were going for.

[0:14] Palm Springs is really special because

[0:18] it's not just a crazy rom-com

[0:19] wacky-doodle comedy,

[0:21] it's that too but there's so much more to it

[0:23] and that's what Max and I really spent time talking about,

[0:27] like the characters.

[0:29] What is the arc that Sarah goes through?

[0:31] What's her journey?

[0:33] How does that affect the lighting and

[0:35] the camera movement and and same with

[0:37] with Nyles' character, you know?

[0:39] He's more of a happy-go-lucky guy but

[0:41] deep down, he has this incredible transition,

[0:44] this growth.

[0:45] And so we really talked about that and I think

[0:47] because it's... it deals with, you know,

[0:51] the questions of

[0:52] why we're here.

[0:53] These existential crises that we all have especially now more than ever during this pandemic.

[0:58] It was just... it really spoke to me and

[1:00] I don't know how Andy and Max

[1:02] saw the future...

[1:04] Heh.

[1:05] but they they certainly did and... and I'm just so happy that

[1:08] people are watching it and - and really

[1:10] responding to it,

[1:12] especially during these times.

[1:14] So you know Andy here is looking Camera Right.

[1:15] It's very bright.

[1:16] It's very, you know, warm tones,

[1:19] very well lit.

[1:20] Looks like a kind of a standard comedy there, right?

[1:24] Here is Sarah's side of it.

[1:26] It's very dark.

[1:27] There's one shaft of light and you don't realize

[1:30] why the curtains are drawn until much

[1:32] later but,

[1:33] you know, this is very dark both physically,

[1:37] visually, and emotionally, but you don't

[1:39] really understand that until later.

[1:40] And then I also

[1:41] chose to use atmosphere to give it a

[1:43] little more of a surreal feel.

[1:46] There's so many moments like that...

[1:48] that are maybe at the subconscious level, you're

[1:50] you're like, "Oh wait."

[1:51] What just happened there?"

[1:53] And then on second viewing or on third viewing

[1:55] you're like, "Oh yeah!

[1:57] I didn't catch that before. that's that's kind of cool

[1:58] That's - that's kind of cool."

[1:59] Like, you know, I think it's - it's fun to break down what -

[2:03] what people build into the visual

[2:05] the visual design of the show

[2:06] because [of] it, there's definitely an arc.
