bav was a goldsmith who specialized in earrings and other small shiny ornaments! she had a little shop in baldur's gate where she made all kinds of jewelry and a more charismatic friend sold them - now, post-tadpole and a long way from home, bav still dabbles in making accessories, both for herself and her newfound friends :)

i hate the pervasive antisemitic myth that ‘chosen people’ in judaism means ‘g-d’s favorite, better than everyone else’ at the best of times, but the irony of seeing it right now, during the season of Tisha B’Av, the period where famously the Jewish people felt abandoned by G-d and were not defended or prevented from suffering through the ages. It’s… irksome to say the least.
