Multiple Rounds of Funding
Following the successful first test of IoT Pixels, Wiliot completed a Series B funding round with the investment arm of Amazon Web Services (AWS), Samsung Ventures, and Avery Dennison. These organizations joined Norwest Venture Partners, 83North, Grove Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, and M Ventures in raising an additional $30 million in funding.
Later, Wiliot also received a $200 million Series C financing led by SoftBank Vision. These funds will be used to accelerate the adoption of its IoT platform and develop second-generation Bluetooth IoT sensors. Wiliot's continued access to financing is mainly attributed to the following key factors:

Wiliot's core product is IoT Pixels, a small, low-cost, self-powered Bluetooth sensor tag. This innovative technology is named "Transparent RFID Tag Wall" (TRT Wall) and has been patented.
The core of the TRT Wall system lies in its unique working principle. Traditional RFID-based tracking systems usually rely on capturing and identifying RFID tags worn on the human body, such as badges or wristbands. However, the research team at the University of Glasgow took a completely different approach. They installed RFID interrogators on one wall and arranged multiple RFID tags on the opposite wall to form a 3×5 grid array. With Earthdata, stylus publishers will be able to manipulate map data on the go. I am not sure what the battery life will be like but it appears to be longer than most stylus sensors. Since the stylus can act as a stylus and also act as a GPS/RFID reader, it would be easy to bring the mapping capability along in a stylus.
