How a Baseball Bat Can Propel You Toward Your Goals
Equipment plays a pivotal role in an athlete's journey to success in sports. When it comes to baseball, the humble baseball bat isn't just a tool for hitting balls; it's a symbol of determination, discipline, and the pursuit of excellence. In this blog, we'll explore how a baseball bat goes beyond the field, teaching us invaluable life lessons and helping us reach our goals.
1. Precision and Technique
Just as baseball players fine-tune their swing, individuals pursuing their goals must master precision and technique. How a player aligns the bat with the ball mirrors how we align our actions with our goals. Each calculated move inches us closer to hitting our mark, reminding us that even minor adjustments can yield significant results.
2. Consistent Practice
A baseball player's journey involves hours of practice, refining their skills until they become second nature. This dedication to practice applies to any pursuit. Consistent effort and a commitment to improvement, like taking countless swings with a bat, pave the way for gradual progress and eventual mastery.
3. Overcoming Challenges
A baseball bat doesn't guarantee a home run with every swing. Similarly, in life, setbacks and challenges are inevitable. A bat teaches us resilience; it's not about avoiding obstacles but adjusting our approach, adapting to change, and swinging again with renewed determination.
4. Focus and Concentration
When players step up to the plate, their focus narrows to the ball and the swing. This level of concentration is vital in any pursuit. A baseball bat is a reminder to block out distractions and give undivided attention to our goals, channeling our energy toward achieving them.
5. Goal-Oriented Strategy
A baseball bat isn't wielded randomly; it follows a strategy based on the pitcher's style and the game situation. Likewise, our goals demand a thoughtful approach. We must tailor our actions to align with our aspirations, adapting our strategies when necessary to ensure progress.
6. Team Collaboration
Baseball is a team sport, highlighting the importance of collaboration and support. A baseball bat symbolizes unity; it's a tool that players rely on to contribute to the team's success. Similarly, our goals often benefit from the assistance and encouragement of others.
7. Celebrating Victories
When a baseball player hits a home run, the celebration is shared with teammates, fans, and coaches. Achieving personal goals should also be celebrated, and a baseball bat signifies that triumphant moment – a testament to hard work paying off.
8. Legacy and Inspiration
The legacy of a baseball bat goes beyond a single game. It inspires future players to aim higher, swing harder, and chase their dreams. In life, the impact of achieving our goals resonates beyond our achievements, inspiring others to pursue greatness.
Conclusion
A baseball bat is more than a piece of sports equipment; it's a powerful metaphor for striving, learning, and achieving. We can draw inspiration from the lessons ingrained in this emblematic tool as we swing towards our goals. The discipline, technique, and dedication required to succeed in baseball parallel the qualities needed to thrive in any aspect of life. So, grab your metaphorical bat and step up to the plate – your goals await, and with each determined swing, you edge closer to hitting a grand slam in your journey to success.

Bruce must genuinely be more concussed than he thinks though if he thinks Jason is a hallucination but still can’t stop himself from interacting with him and sobbing over him. (Emotional lability is a common symptom of concussions.)
He’s genuinely, seriously vulnerable and it’s freaking Jason out. He’s rambling and crying and Jason has already had to redirect him twice to stop the identities falling out in front of the paramedics. Bad enough that Jason (broken ankle, dammit, this wasn’t supposed to happen) tried to stand up out of the paramedic’s grasp when he realised just who it was they were pulling out of the back of the car and onto a stretcher, face pale and lax and bloody. Bad enough that he forgot himself enough to say “Dad?” – quietly, but loud enough for the paramedic to hear. Bad enough that when the paramedic asked “That your dad, son?” he was still too much in shock to do anything other than nod. (Bruce wasn’t supposed to be hurt. Bruce didn’t get injured, not like this. He was all-powerful, larger than life, a superhero. He couldn’t be taken out by some stupid car crash. When Jason didn’t even know he was there.)
Bruce was blinking and hazy-eyed when they brought Jason, splinted ankle and all, in to the ambulance and settled him next to the stretcher. Just play the part, Jason told himself. He probably won’t recognise you anyway.
“Jason…”
So much for that idea.
–––––––––––
Bruce has a brief memory of a truck coming out fast from a side road and a motorcycle swerving to avoid it, directly towards them. He remembers thinking I can’t do anything about this. Then a memory of a skid, the world outside the window blurring, and then the sky, framed with an edge moving past him with people jabbering at each other around him. He thinks for a moment and parses that one as him being pulled out of the side of the car by… some people.
Now he’s… in a vehicle. An ambulance.
He should get up, get back to work. The Mission… no, he’s Bruce Wayne right now, isn’t he?
Someone is being wheeled in and strapped next to him. It’s his dead son.
He knows it isn’t, really. But he can’t help himself. He smiles, tears in his eyes. Jason. His son. As he could have been. If he’d grown up. If Bruce had been able to save him. Bruce hadn’t saved him. If he’d only been quicker, had stopped the shipment sooner. His Robin –
“Hey, hey, stop. Bruce.”
Bruce, yes, he’s Bruce Wayne, he’s not –
“Hey! It’s OK, I’m here, you’re – you’re going to be OK.”
And Bruce knows it’s a hallucination, but it’s his son, and he can’t help but smile through his tears.
Prompt:
Brucie Wayne gets into a mild accident in public (read-got hit by a car). And Batman would just walk it off (“it’s barely a bruise”), but Brucie obviously… can’t.
So he has to suffer the ordeal of having civilians call paramedics, getting fussed over, and having-
Having his dead son get into the back of the ambulance with him.
Oh- oh no. He must have hit his head worse than he thought. He thought he was past this…
#batfam#jason and bruce get into a car crash#I was trying to imagine how this could happen given both Bruce’s and Jason’s driving skills and general reflexes#I think the crucial thing is that Bruce *wasn’t driving*#nor a pedestrian#he was in a car *someone else* was driving#he was on an official Wayne Enterprises trip to visit some subsidiary office or other#and he was in a Wayne Enterprises car (i.e. not one souped up with battech) with a Wayne Enterprises driver from the driver pool#the WE driver is OK by the way#rather bruised and very *very* shaken#(oh my god I nearly killed the boss)#but not badly injured#Jason was going to do a cool move where he flung the motorbike out from under him and rolled over the bonnet of the oncoming car#and back onto the bike again#he’s trained that move#but he’s trained that with skilled drivers who knew the plan#and honed it in chases and fights with desperate drivers with nothing to lose#WE driver is just an ordinary driver with ordinary levels of skill#WE driver panics and slams on the brakes when they see a motorbike bearing down on them#car skids and jackknifes and the back of it slams into a lamp-post or that truck or something#Bruce doesn’t know he’s babbling#Jason trying his best to keep a lid on the identities#means he has to keep reminding Bruce he’s Bruce without giving the game away#which means he has to be Jason#which means there’s no chance of backing out of this#the paparazzi are at the hospital when the ambulance arrives#hospital security chases them away but someone gets a good shot of bruce and jason leaving the ambulance together#there’s at least one medical professional who thinks it’s highly suspicious#that Bruce Wayne’s dead son *just happens* to get in a car crash with him and they both end up in the same ambulance#while Bruce Wayne is concussed and vulnerable

In main continuity and Arkham, Lazarus pit is running through gotham, in tap water, sewers...
Trees, flowers, grass, are feeding on it. And one person in Gotham City can talk, feel, grow a jungle from a seed.
They talk, often, the voice is everywhere, but stronger at certain points on the map.
One day, Jason feels an urge, his guts are SCREAMING at him to go at a very precise location. He is not even in suit. Maybe it's only his anxiety, but something bad could happen, it's Gotham.
After a ride on his motorcycle at 200 miles per hour, Jason follow his instinct under the biggest tree of Robinson Park. A really beautiful red head in dress is waiting, she plays with plants-
*The Grinch and Cindy-Lou screaming at each other.mp4*
Long story short Jay become the mule of Lazarus spirits. On a bench, he's eating the vegan chocolates brought by Ivy and drinking Champagne from the bottle.
He can feel is blood, talking, laughing, looking its date fondly, but the touch of Ivy too when she grow a vine from the ground so they can touch hands.
Weeks by weeks, the story continue, he swears the lazarus is POUTING and giving him the cold shoulder when he says he can't go see Ivy seven time a week in Arkham.
Nobody truly remembers what Pamela Isley looks like, so Jason Todd-Wayne is multiples times phtographied with this gorgeous red head at high standing rooftop vegan restaurants with plants everywhere.
Even Bruce has difficulties buying this story and needs all his battech and Zatana's power to believe it.
The dates become more interesting when Harley as a sign of acceptation in their home of Lazzie blew up a fleet of Lexcorp's cargos (they were empty of people and no waste went into sea, yeah !)
And this story continue and tell how Jason Todd ends up in Vegas being witness of Ivy, Harley and Lazzie wedding ceremony.

I cannot stop thinking about how relentlessly upset Danny would be about being used to kill (depending on where he is in his own personal timeline and if Damian is still in the LoA or w Bruce) except this is like The Artifact and Damian refuses to not use it so it’s just a battle of wills and attrition and snark because Damian Needs to do the Thing but Danny will randomly shout “BOO” to give away his location before Damian can kill anyone. He will conversely leap to Damians defense entirely on his own except despite being a sword this sword seems very bad at sword fighting and seems to get by mostly on bonking people with its own pommel and then hovering over Damian like it wants to check him for wounds but knows it’s sharp and would cut him so it’s just gently patting him with the flat of its own blade much to Damian’s disgust but he will conquer this sword or he’s not an Al Ghul damnit.
Danny somehow some way accidentally gets stuck possessing bat man's cape
Now this isn't so bad for them danny gets a safe warm place to live and bruce gets what is basically the cloak of levitation plus the ability to hide in shadows (literally) and the presence of an eldritch entity
Unfortunately said entity is apparently a mother hen to rival Alfred (Alfred makes sure to take care washing the cloak afrer learning this)
Side note he can still eat while in the cloak the family find this out after bruce comes to dinner still wearing the cape and it latches over the dinner about a minute later it retracts leaving a empty plate
All magic users can now sense Batman from the EXTREMELY powerful aura coming from his cape.

A resumption of our look at current and historic ride manufacturers in the funfair industry sees us looking at the now defunct company of Frank Hrubetz. Dating from 1939 and at one time the second biggest ride builder in the U.S.A., the company finally closed its doors in 1992. Frank Hrubetz originally worked at the Eyerly Aircraft Company, which was a well know manufacturer of aerial rides, based originally on a training device they designed for pilots. That company went on the develop the Loop a plane and roll a plane, two of its best selling designs which Hrubetz helped design. In 1941 a partnership was formed with Earl 0. Bushnell to create Hrubetz and Bushnell. In addition to amusement rides they also manufactured heavily for the war effort during World War 2. Hrubetz Rides The main stay of the Hrubetz range were; Paratrooper - Suspended seats with a canopy over the top to resemble parachutes. Round Up - Also known as a meteorite in the UK, rides sit inside a cage which rotates at high speed sticking them the the mesh panels Tip Top - A cross between a UK trabant and a waltzer ride, not really seen in the UK. Fireball - Basically what we would call an octopus in the UK Spitfire - Another oddball not seen over here. A weird cross between a paratrooper and a dive bomber. The Hrubetz era came to and end, when Frank Hrubetz retires and sold his business to his son-in-law who renamed it Kilinski Manufacturing Company. This eventually became ManCo, then Datron Industries Inc. In 2009 Battech Enterprises purchased the assets of Datron and continue to service some of the Hrubetz range in the present day. For those who have been following my watching of Batman: the Animated Series (and other assorted Batman movies):
I finished season two of B:tAS last week and had to wait for season three to come in to the library, and I finally got to pick it up over the weekend. However, apparently there was an animation change for season three, and because I think they made Bruce and Joker look stupid, I will not be finishing the rest of the show. The first two seasons were delightful, though! I loved every minute of them!
I also happened to pick up the first season of the 1960s Batman TV series at the library, and I'm already absolutely captivated by everything in it! The batcave is so cool; I think the various battech is absolutely inspired and I wish more recent Batman stuff had the same vibes! Also, César Romero put his whole entire pussy into Joker and I love everything about him, he's already tied with Mark Hamill as my favourite Joker and he's easily the best actor in this show (though I've only seen eight episodes so far, that's likely subject to change!)
Other things I got from the library include the 2022 Batman (which I am not looking forward to exclusively because it's like three hours long) and the Tim Burton Batman trilogy (which I'm very excited for because I'm pretty sure it's the ones that gave me nightmares when I was a kid), so those will likely be liveblogged when I finally get a chance to watch them
And in other news, I've also recently started watching Remington Steele! And I love everything about it already!! So there will likely be some more of that in the mix too :)

Bonus of Tim pointing out he’s the one who re-raised Bruce during his Jason-grief, and views himself as Bruce’s nanny/minder and just kept up with vigilantism after as he enjoys it personally, and finds the idea of leaving Gotham to be a major pain as that’s where His Stuff Is.
Danny is cackling and whenever holidays are mentioned, Tim states that’s where he got lucky as ‘no reanimated meat assaulting me’ and dodging his parents’ screaming fest over Santa that Tim resolved when YJ indirectly killed/witnessed Santa’s death. Jack was ecstatic at being correct.
Extra bonus if YJ knows all about the Fentons and go there for tech and combat practice now and then. Danny and Greta got along before Danny became a half-ghost, and not long after Anita became human again. They compare notes, and Danny sends her liminal health info.
Hell, Tim beforehand having Personal Beef with Vlad Masters and it being revealed its on behalf of his baby brother who’s the billionaire’s archenemy (and who tortured his baby brother) is another angle to come at it from as a soft reveal.
Its better/worse when you find out Tim and Danny enjoy building off each other’s inventions, so Danny has a more than decent understanding of BatTech and uses it to avoid his brother’s “co-workers” when he wants to talk to Tim about coping with evil future selves, and asks Tim if he can wire Dani (his clone) money again as she keeps forgetting to ask in advance and his allowance was put on hold for destroying another death ray-esque invention.
Tim Drake’s Coworkers (ft. The Fenton Family)
It’s not that Tim doesn’t like the Batfamily. He tolerates them just fine. Damian is great for sparring (if you like sparring with a tiny murder machine), and Jason’s brand of dark humor isn’t too bad once you get used to it. Dick’s a bit too much sometimes, but overall? Fine. Totally fine.
But the thing is… they’re just his coworkers.
And it never really clicks for the Bats until Danny Phantom joins the Justice League and everything starts unraveling.
———
The revelation comes during a League meeting. They’re strategizing about some ghost-related chaos, and Danny floats into the Watchtower, bright and glowing.
“Oh, hey, Tim,” Danny greets casually, giving him a little wave.
Tim doesn’t even look up from his tablet. “Sup.”
Superman looks between them, confused. “…you two know each other?”
Danny grins. “yeah, he’s my brother.”
Dead silence.
“WHAT?!” Bruce’s bellow shakes the entire room.
Tim finally looks up, unfazed. “What? Did you think I just spawned into existence?”
“You have a brother?!” Clark sputters.
“Two siblings, actually,” Tim corrects, utterly nonchalant. “Danny’s the younger one. Jazz is the older one. She’s great. Super organized. Kept me alive in middle school.”
Bruce’s eye twitches. “Why—why am I only learning this now?”
Tim shrugs. “It didn’t seem relevant.”
“Relevant?” Diana repeats, incredulous. “You’re the brother of Danny Phantom and it’s not relevant?”
Danny, who’s been munching on some ectoplasm candy, jumps in: “Honestly, Tim’s always been kind of private about his personal life. We just figured it was his way of coping with the whole ‘raised-by-rich-neglectful-aunt’ thing.”
“Yeah, about that,” Tim interjects, glaring at Danny. “Thanks so much for dumping me with Aunt Janet, by the way.”
Danny shrugs sheepishly. “Mom and Dad panicked! They thought you’d get ghost-napped next!”
“Uh, correction: Aunt Janet left me to raise myself, so that plan was awesome.”
Bruce, trying to keep up, interrupts: “Hold on. Your parents left you with Janet Drake?”
“They didn’t know she sucked at raising kids,” Tim deadpans. “And to be fair, they did call. A lot. I just didn’t pick up.”
Jason, who has been cackling this entire time, leans forward. “Wait, wait, wait—so you’re telling me that the Replacement’s entire family is a bunch of ghost hunters?”
“Yup.” Danny pops the “p” with a grin.
“You’re kidding me,” Steph says, borderline hysterical.
Tim sighs, clearly over it. “Look, it’s not a big deal. Jazz keeps the parents in check, Danny handles the ghost stuff, and I… stay out of the way. It’s fine.”
“FINE?” Damian glares. “Drake, you’ve been fraternizing with ghost hunters while working with a vigilante group, and you think that’s fine?”
Tim raises an eyebrow. “Dami, chill. It’s not like it affects work. You’re my coworkers. They’re my family. Separate categories.”
Cue collective Batfamily malfunction.
———
Later, Danny is chilling in the Batcave, feet kicked up on the Batcomputer, chatting with Alfred. The rest of the Bats are still spiraling.
“Tim, we’ve lived together for years!” Dick exclaims, sounding genuinely hurt. “How are we only your coworkers?”
“You’re not my family,” Tim explains, like it’s the most obvious thing in the world. “Danny and Jazz are my family. You guys are my teammates. It’s different.”
Jason throws his head back, laughing. “Oh my god, Replacement, you’re stone cold.”
“I’m not cold,” Tim argues. “I just don’t think we need to make it more complicated than it is. We work together. That’s enough.”
Meanwhile, Danny is wiping tears of laughter off his face. “Oh man. Jazz is gonna love this.”

The Ultimate Guide to Choosing the Right Baseball Bat
Selecting the perfect baseball bat can be a game-changer for any player, whether just starting in Little League or playing in the Major Leagues. With various materials, sizes, and styles available, making the right choice can significantly impact your performance at the plate. In this ultimate guide, we'll walk you through the key factors to consider when choosing the right baseball bat.
Material Matters
a. Aluminum Alloy:
Ideal for beginners and young players.
Lightweight, allowing for faster swing speeds.
Durable and requires little maintenance.
b. Composite:
Offers better vibration dampening, reducing stinging hands.
Provides a more flexible barrel, enhancing the trampoline effect.
Suitable for advanced players seeking power and precision.
c. Wood:
Traditional choice for professional players.
Allows for a unique feel and sound.
Requires more skill to control compared to metal bats.
Length and Weight
a. Length:
Measure from the knob to the end cap.
Choose a length that matches your height and stance.
Longer bats offer more reach, while shorter bats provide better control.
b. Weight:
Balance is essential. Bats are categorized as end-loaded, balanced, or light-swinging.
Experiment with different weights to find your sweet spot.
Consider your swing speed and strength.
Barrel Diameter:
Barrel size impacts the "sweet spot" - the area with the most power.
Youth leagues often have restrictions on barrel diameter, so check the rules.
Larger barrels provide more surface area but may be heavier.
League Regulations:
Different leagues have specific bat regulations regarding materials, barrel size, and drop Weight.
Always ensure your chosen bat complies with your league's rules.
Grip and Handle:
Choose a grip that offers comfort and prevents slipping.
Rubber or synthetic grips provide better shock absorption.
Handle thickness varies; find one that feels right in your hands.
Price Range:
Baseball bats come in a wide price range.
Consider your budget and the level of play when making a purchase.
High-end bats often offer better performance but come at a premium price.
Brand and Reputation:
Stick with reputable brands known for their quality and durability.
Read reviews and seek recommendations from experienced players.
Testing and Feel:
Whenever possible, try swinging different bats to assess their feel.
Pay attention to the balance, grip, and how the bat handles in your hands.
Warranty and Return Policy:
Check the manufacturer's warranty and return policy.
This can be crucial if the bat becomes damaged or doesn't meet your expectations.
Conclusion
Selecting the right baseball bat is a crucial decision for any player. It can impact your performance, comfort, and overall experience on the field. By considering material, Length, Weight, league regulations, and personal preferences, you can confidently choose a bat that suits your style and helps you knock it out of the park. Whether aiming for home runs or just looking to make solid contact, the right bat is your trusty companion on the diamond.

visiting cities protected by batman or his wards was a rare occasion for just about anyone who had ever called themselves a justice league member. historically the brooding pointed-eared urban myth proven real never took kindly to anyone encroaching on his territory without good reason. What if Tim was adopted by Clark instead of Bruce? And taken in early cause Superman rescued Tim from a kidnapping?
Or maybe Supes finds a kid far from home having escaped his kidnappers himself due to his parents being on another trip and not knowing he was kidnapped?
Either way Supes ends up taking this kid in, investigating and finding the Drake's are neglectful and abusive parents, takes them to court with the help of Bruce (who has just taken in Jason around this time) and ends up becoming Tim's foster dad.
Catches Tim sneaking out a few times trying to go back to Gotham to stalk Batman and Robin much to Supes pouting and Bats amusement
Some family bonding happens where Clark learns that one of Tim's passions is detective work and photography and thus stirs him into the path of becoming an investigative reporter and photojournalist
Who starts working at Daily Planet when he is old enough to intern aka 16. (No matter that Tim has skipped 3 grades. Clark doesn't want him working til he is 16 cause he wants Tim to be a kid
Unfortunately Clark can't stop him from taking up a cape, he can train him (also inlist Bruce to help) though thankfully Tim is more a behind the scenes crusader
Tim learning kryptonian and how to work the Fortress like the bamf he is
Becomes the unsceen crusader Krypt or Cypher
Heheh he becomes Krypt/Cypher at 13 after he shows Clark his complete mastery over the Fortress' tech.
Also calls Holo-Jor-El Gramps
Holo-Jor-El is still convinced that he is Clark's actual son tho
Jor: He isn't your blood son?
Clark: No he isn't
Jor: absolutely sure?
Clark: yes I'm sure.
Jor: He still needs a name befitting the house of El!
Tim compromises with the use of Tim-El or Tor-El
Krypt/Cyphers suit is a mixture of battech and kyrptonian tech and is mainly a stealth suit. Pure black with a mirror visor. With a silver Superman symbol on the chest. People don't see him on the field often cause Tim is usually just in the background. He does to night patrols when older though (Supes won't let him stay up past 12..)
