*ੈ✩‧₊˚ chaotic roommates abby vs ellie basketball game. wait, let me cook. ellie has hit abby with the ball three times already. abby won’t stop holding the ball up over ellie’s head watching her jump for it. you’re supposed to be keeping score but you lost track thirty minutes ago and you’re too scared to tell them.

they’re all sweaty in their tank tops! abby’s wearing a headband to keep the frizzy fly away’s out of her face. ellie’s hair is in a little bun in the back of her head that you helped do, and the game is so terribly serious.

they joined a women’s league a bit ago and play every saturday but this is practice. and practice is NO JOKE because they have to beat the other team of lesbians next game….because they got their asses kicked….because ellie and abby were arguing mid game and neither would let up.

so this practice is counterproductive actually. they should be doing trust falls or a team building exercise to ensure one of them doesn’t get canned, but instead they’re slap boxing because ellie won’t give up the ball because abby keeps shooting three pointers.

I know I post intermittently abt the basketball AU of ASOIAF that lives in my head rent free but anyways the women’s college basketball season in the US just ended and I really do have some thoughts:

Sansa Stark 6’3” and kind of stacked she SHOULD be a post player but has never once driven to the basket in her LIFE. Somehow manages to make up for this in sheer volume of 3 pointers. Keeps getting compared to her mom who was the most terrifying power forward you ever saw in the Riverlands 20-something years ago despite the fact that there is almost nothing in common with their game styles.

Arya Stark, guard, has a really sweet mid-range game that everyone always forgets about but she’s got like 18 points in 28 min, makes about 5 steals a game. Unfortunately, gets in foul trouble. Keeps getting compared to Jon which drives her nuts.

Robb, went to the Westerosi National Basketball League at like 18, but before the championship game, the coach of an opposing team got a second coach to get players to deliberately injure him during a game. Somehow he got called for a technical foul on this. Ended his career in professional sports.

Dany, 5’6”, floor general and sharpshooter. Regularly beats defenders with more than half a foot on her to rebounds. Plays internationally full-time but her highlight reels still end up on Westerosi ESPN bc her family was at one point a dynasty in the basketball world. 90% of her instagram page is her with her three lizards.

Brienne is the Post Player’s Post Player— always boxes out, gets the rebound, blocks shots, drives etc, impeccable footwork. And then she also hits from distance and can guard. Cersei, the aging vet on the Lannisport Lions, wants her dead for once committing SEVEN blocks on her in a game when she was a rookie. Currently coached by Cat for the Riverlands Fighting Trout. There is a not insignificant fanbase of lesbians who want her to crush their heads with her thighs online but she is tragically into disgraced ex-Lions player Jaime Lannister who keeps bumming around the Riverlands for unclear reasons.

He has never made a basket apart from a fast break layup or a free throw— except for like, two separate years??? where he got his team to the semifinals through a buzzer beater logo 3????? it was a (temporarily) sunny afternoon at the basketball arena , where heeseung , the star player of his college basketball team was getting ready for an important home game. he couldn't help but feel a mix of excitement and nervousness , knowing that his partner (m/n)would be in the stands cheering him on.

heeseung stood in front of the mirror , adjusting his red basketball jersey and giving himself a pep talk.

as he made his way to the court , heeseung looked for (m/n) in the stands , he started to sweat before the game even started, he was excited and nervous at the same time.

the moment (m/n) arrived at the arena , his eyes scanned the court to find heeseung's jersey number. when he spotted him , his heart skipped a beat. he couldn't help but admire how handsome his boyfriend looked in his #11 red jersey.. <3

"HEESEUNG!" (m/n) shouted , gaining hee's attention. heeseung waved excitedly at (m/n) from the court , fueling his excitement even more. (m/n) took a seat in the stands , smiling brightly and getting himself situated.

heeseung quickly diverted from his team to quickly talk to (m/n). (m/n) met his boyfriend on the sidelines and they gave each other a quick kiss , heeseung holding his hands, "I'm glad you could make it baby.." heeseung said , caressing the back of his boyfriend's hand with his thumb. "of course i came, i always come to your games!" (m/n) said excitedly , giving a toothy grin. they continued to talk for a good minute before heeseung had to return to the court , (m/n) smacked his butt for good luck.

as the game began , heeseung unleashed his secret weapon(s) , crazy and unexpected moves that left the opposing team looking confused. he dribbled through their defense like a hot knife through butter , spun in the air for layups , and attempted a behind the back dunk.

the crowd erupted in cheers , and (M/N) couldn't help but join in , his voice blending with the loud screams of excitement. the screams rumbled the stadium and heeseung could feel his ego building up with each scream.

Heeseung stole glances at (m/n) whenever he had a chance , flashing them a cheeky grin or blowing him a playful kiss. his presence gave him an extra boost of energy and a firey determination to win the game.

during a timeout , heeseung caught sight of (m/n) in the stands. he raised his hand and formed a heart shape with his fingers , mouthing an "I love you" to him. (m/n) blushed and blew a flying kiss back , sending a surge of warmth through heeseung's veins.

as the game reached its climax , heeseung's team was neck and neck with their opponents. with a few seconds left on the clock and the score tied, heeseung found himself with the ball.

after running down the court and dodging any attempt of the ball being stolen, he launched the ball through the air, and time seemed to stand still as it swished through the net , sealing the victory for his team. the crowd erupted into a frenzy , and heeseung turned to (m/n) , his face beaming with delight.

they waved at each other excitedly , giving each other eye catching toothy grins. heeseung couldn't wait for this game to be over so he could take his boyfriend in his arms.

as the crowd began exiting the gym , (m/n) waited on a bench outside for heeseung's team to exit. after a few minutes of waiting , the crowd had cleared out the gym , and it started to pour , luckily (m/n) was under the roof.

heeseung's team soon made it out of the building and heeseung was the first one out of the building, he spotted (m/n) waiting for him and ran up to him, they both hugged and heeseung shoved his head in the crook of (m/n)'s neck. "you won!" (m/n) exclaimed "of course i did , i won because you were there.." heeseung said , getting all sappy.

(m/n) giggled, continuing to hug heeseung. heeseung's team was teasing hee , whistling at him and (m/n). heeseung got flustered and sat on the bench with (m/n).

heeseung's team notified him they were leaving and left heeseung and (m/n) to their lonesome. "you know, (m/n).." heeseung started , (m/n) perked up. i couldn't have done it without you cheering me on your presence just.. gives me the power to win all my games." (m/n) blushed and leaned into heeseung's embrace , taking heeseung's hand into his.

"oh, please.. you were already amazing before i came along , but i have to admit, my cheers do have some secret magical effect on your game." (m/n) said , heeseung giggling. "but really (m/n).. i'm the luckiest guy to have you as my boyfriend.. i wouldn't play for anyone else.." heeseung said.

heeseung leaned in , brushing his lips against (m/n)'s in a tender , sappy moment.

after a while of (m/n) and heeseung and their moment , they decided it was time to head home , it wouldn't stop pouring and it was dark. they stood at the end of the cement , (m/n)'s jacket over their heads , "RUN !" heeseung exclaimed , they jumped off the cement and ran towards the nearest bus stop together.

they made it to the bus stop and threw themselves onto the bench , (m/n)'s head leaning against heeseung's shoulder as they panted. heeseung saw (m/n)'s eyes were closed and leaned into his ear and whispered,

“Leavin so soon?” Layla and I turned around to see Armin standing with Connie. There were still lots of people around so I was surprised paparazzi wasn’t bombarding him or anything. But they probably weren’t allowed in. Layla looked at me and I looked at her.

“I’ll take Celest to the car, c’mon CeeCee!” Layla reached out her hands and Celest went into them, allowing her to pick her up and sit her on her hip.

Connie’s eyes watched as Layla tried to find a way out, leaving me with Armin and Connie.

“You look good, by the way,” He shoved his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants.

“Thank you…” I looked down.

“Hey~ Connie.” Some girls with his jersey on wales past and waved at him. he sent them a wink in return and redirected his attention to me. Armin looked like he was in an awkward place and I felt like I was too.

“I’m gonna… go to the car,” He began to walk out. “Don’t take too long.” He smirked as he whispered in my ear before leaving.

After Armin had left, Connie and I sat down in the stands and just started talking. It was as if we’d been talking all along and didn’t just ghost each other for 2 years. It felt natural. But all I could think about was my baby. Everytime he laughed or even looked at me with those honey hazel eyes, I thought about Celest.

“So that baby… she yours?”

“She is.” I smiled as I thought about her. He looked down, laughing to himself.

“You been busy, huh?”

“A one time thing… we all make stupid decisions. Not all of them we regret.” I partially lied.

He shook his head. “Didn’t say you had to. Just unexpected, that’s all.”

I furrrowed my eyebrows. “Why?”

“Because when we were in school, you were like, you’ve always wanted to do something with yourself and you had things planned out. You told me that you didn’t even want kids until you were 30 because you wanted to make sure all your school was finished.”

“Well things change, life happens.” I stood up, getting a bit offended by what he was saying. It’s like I disappointed him or something.

He stood up and followed me down the stands and outside the arena.

“Tryna run out on me again?”

“Nope, just trying to go home.”

“Well,” He stopped. “At least let me get your number or something. So we can keep in contact.” I looked at him for a few seconds before exchanging phone numbers with him.

“Thank you, Chy. And thanks for coming to my game too, really meant a lot to see you there.”

“You recognized me?”

“I recognize that pretty face anywhere.” Connie smiled. He was probably trying to flatter me to make up for what he said earlier but for some reason I felt like his smile made his comment genuine.

I scoffed. “Don’t do that.”

“I mean it. I’ve always meant it.” I playfully rolled my eyes before crossing my arms and looking down at my feet.

“If you say so…”

He laughed. “I do. Lemme walk you to your car?”

After we left the arena, everyone was pretty much beat so Armin went home and Layla said she would sleep over once we got Celest to bed. And of course we discussed the events of the day.

“Sooo how you feelin?”

“Bout?”

“Seeing him again.” I got quiet. I didn’t know how to feel. I wanted to feel excited because I’ve only imagined what it’d be like to see him again after the 2 years, but I was also nervous out of my mind because I had to tell him about Celest. And now that he’s borderline back into my life, that had to come real soon.

“I enjoyed it. Got to talk to him and stuff.”

“Did he ask you about Celest?”

I nodded slowly. “He did but..”

“You told him??” Layla yelled.

“If you wake up my child—“

“Sorry, sorry.” She whispered. “But did you tell him?”

“No, Layla. I didn’t tell him.”

“When are you going to?” I shrugged.

“I don’t know..” I rubbed random shapes into the surface of the blue velvet couch. I wanted to tell him but I was scared. Scared he’d hate me and he really doesn’t wanna see me again. And scared that he abandons Celest. That would crush my soul and just thinking about it makes me so anxious, like nauseatingly anxious.

“Well, yall can talk for real now. You got his number right?” I nodded.

“Try to build everything back up and then it’ll be easier to know when. The time will be right.” That made sense but Layla was saying this as if he wasn’t a big time athlete with big time money and big time things to do, with not one of those things involve wasting time with me.

“He not gonna have time for that, Layla. He makes money playin ball, not talking to girls that hide babies from him for 2 years.”

“Well that’s your fault. Fix it.” She shrugged.

I groaned. “It’s not gonna be that easy.” Layla began to make her way to the guest bedroom.

“We’ll make it easy, friend.”

F1 x Basketball AU 🏎️🏀

I’ve been working on a basketball au with the drivers for a while but haven’t been able to work on it until now..ish 🥲 and so i did silly little graphics for now. Combining two of my favorite sports = favorite pasttime!

IF YOU’RE INTERESTED IN LEARNING THE POSITIONS HERE ARE SOME QUICK EXPLANATIONS OF THEM 🙏:

Point Guard (PG): is typically the team's shortest player and best ball handler and passer. A scoring point guard regularly has the ability to shoot from three-point or mid-range distance. A facilitator-type point guard often has a high basketball IQ, or intuitive understanding of the game, and can see plays happening before they occur.

Shooting Guard (SG): are prolific from three-point range and long mid-range. A key aspect is having the ability to patiently wait for the ball and getting free, while others pass the ball around and finally get the ball to make the shot.

Small Forward (SF): They can do just about everything, from scoring, rebounding, handling the ball, passing, and the ability to defend. A common thread among small forwards is an ability to "get to the line" and draw fouls by aggressively attempting (posting-up) plays, layups, or slam dunks.

Power Forward (PF): often the team's most powerful and dependable scorer, being able to score close to the basket while also being able to shoot mid-range jump shots. Power forwards are also very crafty and have to be versatile on both offense and defense and are usually have good footwork in the paint and are able to force players into bad shots or blocking shots when guarding the paint.

Center (C): typically plays near the baseline or close to the basket. They are usually the tallest players on the floor. Centers usually score "down low", or "in the paint" (near the basket, in the key). The goal of centers is to create possessions, and, therefore, opportunities to score, by rebounding and trying to stop the other team from scoring in the paint.

Rookie (R): fresh off the bench and now a permanent part to the starting lineup.

In this Au, I combined the “junior” teams with their respective top teams (except for HAAS in this they merged with Alpine cause let’s be honest… Alpine need the extra help to actual stay an organization so HAAS agreed to merge).

Every choice for who I made the starting five and which position I made them are very deliberate. All were based off of who I think each team would start and what role would fit with their skill set. Also taking into their personalities a bit as well.

When i get the time I wanna expand it a bit more but for now this all i got.🥲 Hope it all makes sense. 🙏

Perched on the cheerleaders’ stand, Sirius watches with bated breath as Remus speeds across the basketball court, Gryffindor jersey clinging to sweaty skin as he effortlessly dodges and dribbles his way to the basket.

“Dribble the ball towards the hoop Dibble the ball and loop-dee-loop Dribble the ball across the floor Dribble the ball and score two more!”

Remus comes to a halt right in front of the basket. He hoists the ball up, leg muscles straining as he bends his knees and leaps. With a twist of his wrist, he slam dunks the ball through the net.

The Gryffindor crowd erupts as Remus hangs off the hoop, biceps flexing. He drops down into a horde of his red-clad teammates.

Sirius jumps up in joy, arms raised and pom-poms shaking.

“Lupin got the ball in Lions always roarin’ Gather ’round, hear that sound? Goooooo, Lions!”

Peter runs onto the court, the mane of his mascot costume bouncing as he grabs Remus and repeatedly twirls him around.

Remus laughs, eyes alight with victory. He scans the sidelines, searching for Sirius. Their gazes meet, and Sirius winks. Remus flushes redder than his jersey.
