Hey everyone, we were given a wonderful suggestion for an event in the server, and with Sam Mowry’s passing, we feel that it would be all the more appropriate, especially since our server has worked with him in the past.

From now (7/24/24) to 08/21/24 23:59 MST, we will be hosting the following event “Thank You My Friend”. Sam Mowry, the voice of Alexander in Frictional Games’ *Amnesia: The Dark Descent*, has tragically passed due to health issues on 07/20. Prior, he has brought to life one of the most memorable villains in modern horror game history, whose influence has been held over games and fans alike.

We’re calling for Mr. Mowry’s fans to come forth and visually depict their own headcanon of the Baron Alexander von Brennenburg *(aka Ayandra the Apostate)*. We will then place everyone’s work in a collage honoring Mr. Mowry, proudly featured from our server, *Amnesia: We’re Still Alive*. Please submit your art as a high resolution (150dpi or above) in either JPEG or PNG format in our Events channel, or you may link your work privately to any of our mods. Please submit the name you wish to accompany with your work as well.

Today the voice actor of Alexander Von Brennenburg and several other characters would turn 65.

Even though he passed away a few months ago it feels unreal to me in so many ways. Every time I remind myself of it, it brings me on the verge of tears. This person used to be a huge part of my childhood at some point even making it better and I am so grateful for that.

Not going to exaggerate with this part but Alexander Brennenburg means a lot to me, I love him so dearly as a character, I used to be unironically afraid of him when I was a kid tho lmao.

But the way my point of view of this character changed so drastically over the years is one of the reasons why he is my fav.

I used to see only a monster in him but as I grew up, I simply saw more in him starting to care about things other members of this fandom picked to completely ignore, and now this crusty alien baron is such a big comfort character to me.

I am so grateful that such an incredibly talented person voiced my favourite character, may Sam's legacy live forever.

Daniel fell in love with Alexander almost immediately. The Prussian baron’s charm, suave, good looks. If Daniel hadn’t been completely closeted, he would have said something. Really he admired the baron from afar until one ritual where Daniel, covered in blood and delirious, approached the older gentleman and confessed. Alexander, though knowing this would disrupt his plans, took Daniel in. It made the betrayal even more painful for Daniel.

Daniel tried to run away from home when he was around 10 years old. Hazel was five and small enough for him to carry, so he ran one night with the sleeping girl in his arms. He made it to the police station and tried to wave down a carriage, but of course he was caught and sent back home. Hazel was spared the severe beating Daniel received from his drunken father, as she had been asleep and an “unwilling participant.”
