Neomonth  Day 6: Favorite Quest/Quest NPC

I honestly really like the Haunted Woods Quest NPCS because they all will connect with each other. Like the prize for Edna’s quest will sometimes be food that the Esophagor will want and the Esophagor will give you the Brain Tree answer for THAT quest in exchange for food and the Brain Tree will then immediately hand you a piece of it’s own brain or something really messed up like that. But Edna might be my favorite if we had to choose between a tree with a massive organ in the branches or the sentient esophagus-I choose the not so good at magic witch.

Neomonth Day 12: Favorite Pet You Own

*I love all my children equally.......but Barnabas is my first boy and my most PRECIOUS boy. Well, he was the first one I made with the new account after I was locked out of the one I had since I was a child. But I really love Barnabas and he honestly helped me get into Dnd and have a real feel for it.

I like to think that the Haunted Woods is indeed a dead zone where technology comes to die-but some things do work, you can get a sketchy radio signal maybe if you use a radio that still operates on tubes and very old black and white cameras work.

Sometimes I forget that Marolouw is Barnabas’s Arcane Instructor because Trixie’s kind of magic isn’t the kind that Barnabas is interested/should dabble in (due to the danger) and Sometimes you can’t pronounce a big demon word so you summon a big fancy lady demon to read it for you.

You’re not a real victorian unless you’ve got a full family portrait, ft. the Ghost you got when you bought that alleged haunted piano, and have it dramatically over the fireplace to intimidate guests.

I call this the ‘Barnabas scale of how many people I need in order to go outside and function as a person.’ This is not a preference on person, but a sort of number of how many people he likes to have around when he has to go outside.

3 is GREAT. Good number. We love it. 2 other people is also good. still a safety crowd. 1 is fine, but I’m going to stick close to you very close and I may try and hold your hand if stuff gets to be too much. 0, we will be okay for 10 minutes MAYBE. and then we need to leave because it will become too much for us too fast.

It’s a tough existence for Barnabas some days, but he functions as well as a lad can because sometimes you just gotta go outside and get shit done, accompanied or not.

Marolouw sometimes tags along to the parties Barnabas and Trixie go to and continues to do shit like this. Barnabas can’t escape.

(They’re basically ‘Wizards only, Fool’ Parties and Kerrigan gets to be there sometimes because he’s basically Trixie’s bouncer. But who is going to tell a Demon from the underworld to leave a party? No one that’s who. Demons often do show up at these parties. Those demons and their love of blasphemy and hedonism.)

It’s been too long since I drew my FAVORITE nervous boy (Sorry Val, but Barnabas out nervous’s you by a land slide.) I miss playing him. And I miss Semicolon. even tho the lil’ guy got murdered every session, he usually was okay.

Guys Guys Guys. I found some sketched of Barnabas I forgot I did and apparently lining things is too inconveniencing for me anymore, so have some semi-decent sketches I colored of THE BEST PURBLE BOY.

I think the starting orgin of this was supposed to be a test to see if Barna-boy was cute in glasses and can confirm. Cute in glasses.

I personally like how Barnabas being Halloween makes his given genetics from Asmodeus go from 50% to 80%.

I finally did a full body reference for my special little boy, Barnabas.

For those of you who are new here and still don’t know who best boy is:

Barnabas Vladstik is the 23 year old illegitimate son of Minerva Ravenhearse Vladstik and Asmodeus Luxuria, the demonic lord of lust. Relatively timid and introverted, Barnabas spends most of his time hiding away indoors and only rarely ventures outside, spending most of his time working with his sister and the rest of his time reading. He has a great fear of the outside and of strangers, leaving him rather confident and snarky when in his own home, but a completely different person outside of it. He is a very talented summoner and a rather accomplished warlock for his age and he certainly has his father's talents and certain preferences regarding many things. He’s is much nicer and softer spoken than his sister, Trixie.

So the last ask where you said Barnabas wants a library full of books, it made me picture Kerrigan trying to give him that- but it's just him giving him a box of books he already has

Kerrigan, you should have just got him a balloon or a cake to show appreciation for what Barnabas does for you because Barnabas has some very VERY strong opinions on some books and this is one of those times when strong opinions are going to come out.
