My Hands may be trembling in pain and I might have become lazy and decided "let's not draw the bat", I am not very good with panel drawings tho i might try it now more often. Totally not rushed-

Anyways continuation Prompt of my first one just 2(?) days ago:

Danny would have been found by Bruce Wayne himself, as Batman ofcourse and he would've found Danny in a vivisection escapee type of way where he plastered his wounds. Bleeding out what seems to be "Lazarus Pits Water" but much purer in terms of visual, Danny as a 13-15 years old boy at the time would be be desperate to live, but too weak to beg for life. He loses consciousness just before he could speak to the big bat himself.

Batman is the man who would not let a child die and bleed out, or any people in need be it 'meta' or not. B would take Danny home to the Wayne Manor and into the bat cave where Robin Who is confused on who did his father bring home now would try to question but would hesitate as because Danny is obviously in great pain.

That's the first prompt of how he'd find the Danny of my first prompt. But for the art I've drawn it'd be more like this:

Barbara was curious on who the newly home bought baby bat is, coming unannounced and cooing over the little odd baby who seems very stunned seeing her.

In Danny Perspective all he sees is his late sister Jasmine Fenton making him tear up and be overwhelmed with grief and sadness as Nightwing tries to be big brother mode and comfort the little odd kid, Bruce unable to comfort because he doesn't know how to and he just tires to console Danny that everything is okay.

In that prompt I'd imagine Danny would be very close with Barbara and sees her as a big sister literally.

Seeing her brings him comfort and he slowly processes on how to move on from the grief of losing Jazz.

But like at the same time

So the Fentons are visiting Gotham, the reason why is a bit up in the air;

Jazz wants to visit the Gotham U campus, the Fentons have a meeting with W.E for a business deal (they’re sus about the whole ghost hunting thing but it doesn’t hurt to scope out what they’re capable of) or maybe they’re hunting down Batman because they’re sure he’s a ghost. Reader’s choice tbh.

Unfortunately Jazz sprained her ankle the week before while ghost hunting with Team Fenton. This also led to her parents coddling her and she just barely managed to convince them to still go on their trip as a way to get Danny a vacation.  The only caveat; they force her on a wheelchair for the duration of the trip.

Spring forward to a random Thursday afternoon during their vacation; Danny and Jazz were dying of embarrassment (in his case re-dying) with their parents antics. They didn’t think Gothamites would blatantly stare at them all things considered but even they had their standards they guess.

Danny bought himself some sunglasses and a coffee while Jazz just put on her reading glasses and just tried to bury herself in her new Spoiler themed sweater.

Of course that’s when the chaos started.

It was just their luck that just as they finally got away from their parents that a rogue finally attacked; where there was a rogue the Batman wouldn’t be too far behind.

Danny’s plan was just to hide in a random alleyway or wait until the coast was clear to use his powers and fly them back to their hotel room and wait for everything to die (hah) back down. That’s not what ended up happening.

“There you guys are, c’mon time to suit up”

The duo are too stunned to do anything as they’re dragged off by this random rich guy (Bruce Wayne) and into a really expensive and familiar looking car (the Batmobile). The door folds open and Jazz’s wheelchair is fastened in seconds, Danny just kinda goes to sit next to her (can’t let his sister be kidnapped by herself). 

There’s a guy sitting shotgun next to the original alley guy. He’s wearing a mask. Oh shit its Nightwing.

“Looks like Freeze is at it again, Uptown’s already halfway covered in ice. No time to waste Red Robin”

Red Robin? Like the food chain??

In those few seconds the Batmobile is speeding off, the alley guy is now the Batman and they’re passing a speeding RV going the other way. Cue that one Umbrella Academy meme but its Tim and Babs staring back at Danny and Jazz.

A compartment opens up revealing Red Robin’s suit with the cowl. 

‘Why the hell not? It’s not like it’ll kill me’ is all Danny thinks while he puts on the outfit, ditching the cowl tho because it looks ugly and instead grabs one of ‘Robin’s’ extra masks that were next to it. He took a selfie and sent it to Sam and Tucker, one also featuring a Done looking Jazz.

“You got that RR?”

“Hn yeah sure”

It isn’t until halfway through their fight with Mr.Freeze, not even noticing how the usually chilly Tim doesn’t look the slightest bit cold, when they meet up with Black Bat that any of them are clued in to what happened.

“Not Red Robin. New brother?”

“What are you talking about Cass, he’s right there?”

Cue to Danny using Tim’s bo staff to propel himself and air kick Mr.Freeze’s helmet.

“Ice to meet you frosty!”

“Yeah no. Our parents may be nuts but we’re not open for adoption” Jazz quips from the comms, strangely not too different from the system Tucker uses when they out hunting for ghosts.

“Wait I thought you were just recovering from the cold!?”

“Twisted ankle actually. On your five!”

Meanwhile Jack and Maddie got a ecto signature at the other side of town. They spotted Danny and Jazz leaving the library, grabbed them (not noticing the yelling crowds running the other way). 

They let the GAV fasten the kids in before speeding off to catch the ghost.

In his defense Tim was working on one hour of sleep in the last 48 hours and Bab’s lost her voice from her cold. In all the ensuing chaos Babs dropped her phone and Tim’s just ran out of juice.

They’d thought it was a Standard Wayne and Co Kidnapping until the duo in hazmat suits kept referring to them as Jazz and Dann-o. Hopefully not insane and trying to fake being a family. Hopefully

They take a turn into Crime Alley and the duo look at each other as they see the GPS head towards one of Red Hood’s places.

Jim Gordon had seen a lot of things in all his years as both an officer and Commissioner but for the most part things stayed at an arms length or he was able to easily separate himself from situations. Of course, there were incidents that were a bit harder to seperate from like Barbara becoming paralyzed due to Joker, all the times he or Barabara nearly died, kidnappings, and watching friends and loved ones either die or go down a dark path, but for the most part his life wasn't too crazy.

At least that was until one summer that all changed rather dramatically. In the form of a redhaired teenager showing up at his police station. She was around 17 and was wearing teal pants, a black shirt and a teal headband. But no matter her age or what she was wearing it didn't change the fact that she looked like Barabra had when she was younger.

That mixed with the fact that she specifically asked to see 'Jim Gordon' was something that made all of the Gotham PD point her in his direction. Once they were face to face the girl let out a shaky breath.

"My name is Jasmine Fenton, I'm your second cousin and I need your help protecting my brother from my parents and Batman."

Jim was shocked, blinking confusion away as he held up his hand. "Wait wait. You're my-"

"Second cousin. My mother is Madeline Walker."

Maddie. He knew Maddie though he had only met her a couple of times. Her mom and his dad were siblings. That explained why Jasmine looked so much like Barbara at least.

"Maddie... right, I remember Maddie. Okay, so why does your brother need protection? Specifically from your parents and Batman?"

Jasmine played with her hands. "My... my brother is different, Commissioner Gordon and my parents found out. They hurt him... badly. So we came here because you're the only one who might be able to help us but if Batman finds out we're here then Danny could get hurt again. B-but my parents and the government are wrong out him! H-he's not evil, he's a hero. H-he's a hero but because of what he is... he's labled as evil..."

Jim frowned, "Okay... is your brother a meta?"

Jasmine shook her head. "No."

Damn. Meta protection act wouldnt help here.

"Alright... is your brother with you?"

Jasmine sniffled then nodded. "He's in the car sleeping."

Jim stood up, grabbing his jacket off of the coat hanger. "Take me to him, please."

"You won't hurt him?"

"You have my word."

Jasmine looked at him, her teal eyes filled with more exhaustion and anxiety than any childs should be. Then, she let out a shaky breath and lead him out of the room.

They walked through the police station before Jasmine lead him out to the parking lot to the furthest corner of it where a beat up red station wagon was parked alone. Jasmine then gestured to the back window as Jim looked in.

The seats had been laid down and blankets laid out in a makeshift bed where a teenager around 14 or 15 laid sleeping on it. The teenager had healing bruises on his face and arms as well as a multitude of bandages that Jim could see peeking over the blanket, specifically on his chest. What had Jim the most concerened though was how pale the boy was and how weak his breathing seemed.

Any doubts Jim might have had immediately flew out the window. It no longer mattered who these two kids were they were kids in trouble.

"Why didn't you take him to the hosptial?" Jim asked, looking at Jasmine who looked ready to cry.

"Because if the Government finds out where he is they'll take him away and kill him. What he is isnt supposed to exist and is listed as 'dangerous'." She sniffled.

Jim frowned. The goverment couldn't know yet they took the risk to come to him? They must have been desperate.

"Okay, let me see your keys. I'll take you kids to my place to hide then call my daughter."

"Y-your daughter?" Jasmine asked, handing the keys over regardless.

"Yeah. She's good with these kinds of things and if she can't help I might know somebody else who can." Jim explained, climbing into the drivers seat as Jasmine ran to the other side.

"T-they won't turn us in, right?"

"No, they wont. My daughter is a librarian and my friend is a butler, they know how to keep secrets." He promised, pulling away from the police station in the direction of his house.

He could only hope that he would be able to help these two kids, and that whatever fear they had of the Batman wouldn't end up being justified fears.

lazarus pits are pools of dark green water in the dc universe that bring people back to life with heavy side effects.

justice league dark is a group of superheroes in the dc universe known for dealing with the magical, the occult or supernatural.

zatanna is a magician in the dc universe. she sometimes has a romantic relationship with constantine.

the infinite realms are the place where ghosts reside in the danny phantom universe. it can also be referred to as the ghost zone.

ra's, or ra's al ghul, is a recurring villain in the dc universe, often going against batman. he frequently is shown to have control of the lazarus pits.

doctor fate is a sorcerer in the dc universe. he's been shown to guide the justice league when dealing with different realms. the justice league is a group of superheroes that include batman, superman, wonder woman, etc.

jazz curses using the word 'ancients', referring to old ghosts in the danny phantom lore. this is a fanon habit.

red robin / tim drake is one of batman's / bruce wayne's sidekicks and adopted children.

one of the known lazarus pits in the dc universe is in arabia.

martian manhunter is a member of the justice league.

the bats refers to batman and his group of vigilantes.

marinette dupain-cheng is the protagonist of miraculous ladybug. she carries out the role of paris superhero, ladybug.

chat blanc is a character from an episode by the same name. in it, her superhero partner, cat noir, is turned into a villain by the name of chat blanc. the episode show's a version of ladybug turned to stone by her partner turned rogue. it is caused by a butterfly effect that starts with a gift to adrien.

adrien agreste is a character in miraculous ladybug, acting as marinette's love interest and as cat noir.

gabriel agreste is adrien agreste's father, and the main villain of the show, hawkmoth.

peter parker is marvel's spiderman. in the film spiderman:homecoming, he fights a villain by the name of the vulture on a beach after said man steals a plane's cargo.

may parker is his aunt, and his only remaining family member.

the titans are a superhero group in the dc universe. multiple versions exist.

jim gordon is part of gotham's police force (his title depends on the version) and an ally of the bats.

dick grayson and jason todd are adopted sons of bruce wayne and vigilantes.

oracle is barbara gordon, daughter of jim gordon and a vigilante under batman.

ghosts in the infinite realms can have weird characteristics and not look entirely human.

ghost lairs are what a ghost home is called.

iron man is a marvel superhero. in spiderman:homecoming, he takes on spiderman as a distant protege.

danny phantom being ghost king is fanon but i like it.

kingpin is a villain in a few marvel stories, including spiderman stories.

for the purpose of this story, marvel superheroes mentioned almost always operate out of new york (however, this could be retconned).

lois lane is superman / clark's love interest in the dc universe. for this story, she's his best friend.

danny fenton becomes half ghost by turning on the ghost portal while inside. he dies but revives. sam and tucker were there.

Red Hood was captured by a group of cult-like scientists. This should have been the set up to some well earned sibling blackmail, had they'd been able to find him with the normal practiced ease. Instead, they can't find him at all. All they find is the ruins of some kind of summoning circle.

Jason, meanwhile, has had the weirdest experience in the world of being a sacrifice in some ritual, only for the summonings target to just uno reverse the whole thing and pull him in. He finds himself in a dimension of all green, a place they call the Infinite Realms. The creature his captors failed to summon gives him a proposition - help them save two kids, and they owe Jason a favor.

Hey, maybe making deals with the dead isn’t a good thing. But Jason was never against saving kids. Especially when he gets the help from one Jasmine Fenton.

Jim Gordon puttered around his house, ready to finally go to sleep after a long night of dealing with the problems that came from living in Gotham and of dealing with the Batman specifically. Being the "World's Greatest Detective" did not make the man pleasant to work with despite their long working relationship.

Barbara was wheeling around in her chair, for some reason that Jim didn't need to know about she was still awake. He could guess, but he wasn't going to. Somethings he wanted plausible deniability.

He paused as he was about to tell her to head to bed and head that way himself as his phone rang. Not his work phone that the other detectives used, but his personal number. He glanced at the screen and was even more worried when he saw it was from an unknown number. With the work Barbara did, that he didn't ask any questions about, it was rare that anyone called him from a number he didn't know.

"Hello, this is Jim Gordon." He said as he answered. There was no response at first, only the sound of someone breathing on the other end. He clicked the button that started a recording of the phone call in case this was another threat that Batman would need to investigate. Barbara watched him from the corner of her eye.

"U-uncle Jim?" A young and scared sounding voice finally responded. Jim took a seat at the dining table as he tried to piece together who this could be.

"Jasmine?"

"Uh, actually I go by Jazz now."

Jasmine Fenton, Jazz now, the young niece on his dearly departed wife's side of the family from a branch that the rest of the family had thoroughly cut off some time ago.

"Well, Jazz, what can I do for you at... three in the morning?" It was only two where she lived, but still far too late for a young woman who was probably still in high school to be awake.

"Well, you remember my... sibling? Right?"

Jim noted her odd hesitation in that sentence.

"Yes, I do." The Fentons shared the family curse of only having girls apparently.

"Well he goes by Danny now." Or maybe not. So Jazz's brother is trans? Good to know, but not quite worth a 3 AM call across the country to someone she had spoken to maybe three times. "And he's not... he's not safe here anymore!"

Jim snapped his fingers to get Barbara's full attention. She glared at him for snapping at her like he would with his officers, but pulled up her laptop and with a few key presses had joined the call with her headphones in, though she remained silent and listening for now.

"Really? I never would have taken your parents for the type." Jim said, mostly to keep Jazz talking.

"Nobody thinks they're the type! And that's the problem!" Her voice cracked and jumped an octave in fury, and bordering on hysteria. "He's in danger here and nobody believes him and I can't keep them distracted forever! And please, I just need someone to believe me!"

"I believe you Jazz." Jim said quickly. This kind of distress couldn't be faked. She thought her brother was in a real danger for his life. He didn't want to lose the thin thread of trust she was extending him right now. "How can I help?"

Jazz gasped and muffled a sob that they could both still hear. Jim always hated it when kids had been forced to train themselves to cry silently. Barbara scribbled something on a pad of paper and flipped it so he could read it. 'Who?' Jim took the pencil from her and wrote out, 'Jasmine Fenton, Parents Jack and Madeline, Amity Park.' and slid it back to her. That should be all the information Babs needed to do the work he would continue to not ask questions about, even though it was currently helping him.

Once Jazz had collected herself, Jim asked again. "What can I do to help you two? Do you have a safe adult closer who you can talk to?"

"NO! Everyone here believes them, or wouldn't be safe either. I already had to drive four hours just to make this call, not it has to be someone out of state."

Barbara looked at him with her eyebrows raised. Jim grimaced, but kept his voice even.

"Alright, well you can't get much out of state than New Jersey. So what do you need me to do?"

"I keep a detailed list of all our estranged blood relatives just in case." Jazz started, earning an impressed look from Barbara. "So I know you're with the Gotham City Police. I'm hoping you have some resources to get my parents investigated and keep Danny safe."

That implied a level of desperation that he wasn't wholly comfortable with, but he would never turn away someone in need if he could help them. He was about to respond when Jazz suddenly gasped.

"Jim! Is there someone else on the call?" Her voice sounded even more panicked. Barbara pressed a few more keys on her computer before speaking up.

"Yeah, sorry about that Jazz, this is Barbara, I guess we're technically cousins!" Babs said, keeping her voice serious but friendly.

"Jim?" Jazz asked, her voice sounding distance, like she was already backing away from the phone, ready to run if needed. Jim's concern some how just kept rising for her.

"Yep, that's Babs, she's my daughter."

"I'm much better with computer than my dad, so he added me to the call so I can start to plan a route to you." Barbara said.

"Oh thank the Ancients. Do you mean it? You'll really come?"

"Of course! It's high time for a family reunion anyways. We'll be on the road first thing in the morning!"

"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you! Now I really have to go, I can't be caught out here. Bye!"

With a click the line went dead. Jim flexed his hand and wished for a cigarette, even though Barbara had banned him from smoking in the house. She typed away at her laptop, the furrow growing between her brows. Whatever she was finding wasn't pretty.

He sighed and set the phone down on the table before standing up.

"I'm going to pack some things, then hit the hay. I'll take the first driving shift if you take the second?" He asked, but also hoped. He could comfort a victim and he could investigate a case, but he could already tell that this one was going to be more than any one man could do, so he desperately hoped his daughter would be there to help, even without the extra help she would be providing that he wouldn't ask any questions about. If Batman just happened to show up in Amity Park he wasn't going to question his good fortune.

"Yep! I'll head to bed in a couple of minutes, I just want to finish a few more things." Babs said with a small tired smile.

He nodded and climbed the steps up to his bedroom. He idly wondered if Bruce would give him the contact information of "The Guy" if his siblings in law turned out to be unfit parents. Either way he was going to make certain that Jazz and Danny were safe, no matter what.

Jazz's parents have gotten worse, their passion has turned into an obsession. Her parents don't even know that they are hunting their son every day. Jazz makes a tough call and rings up her uncle-in-law whom she has not had contact with in years.

Commissioner Gordon was not expecting to get a phone call at three in the morning; especially not from an estranged niece that he had seen a handful of times. The last time he seen that side of the family was before his wife had died.

Now he's driving halfway across the country with a confused daughter to meet up with the said estranged family.

Raising Phantom chpt 2

Danny angrily colored a page that Jazz had set in front of him as he watched a video from his phone. Stupid page. It wasn't the page's fault, but Danny had to blame something. He still felt frustrated from the mugging. He was tired of hiding, and tired of playing defenseless kid. He wanted to scare the pants off them disgusting jerks. Well, he could always haunt them later. But Jazz could tell when he didn't get enough sleep. Call him cranky. He has a right to be! Danny stared down and sighed, the page just had ugly streaks of red in it. Looked like it was colored by a smaller child than he already was. He grabbed the paged and crumpled it up into a ball, getting what last bit of frustration he could out on the paper before tossing it in the trash. Even making it in the bin first try didn't help much.

“Feel any better?” Jazz asked as she sorted the returned books so they were easier to put back on the shelves. “No.” Danny grumbled, sinking in his seat. Danny glanced around and then spoke in a whisper. “Should have let me at them.” “You know why that was a bad idea, Danny. Besides, if I did, Red Hood would have seen you.” Jazz whispered back, never stopping what she was doing. Danny just huffed more as he sunk deeper in the chair. He hated being little. He should be in college, with his friends! …As if he even would have been able to. Danny glanced down, watching his fingers as he rolled the red crayon. He was barely passing any of his classes before being aged down. He was constantly asleep in class and most of the time he was absent chasing ghosts. And then, topic of major. He had no idea what he wanted to do with his life anymore. He never thought about it much after the accident. The one that turned him into a ghost. Half-ghost. He was still alive. “Jazz? Can I have another page?” “Sure thing, Danny.” Jazz handed him another page from the stack on the check out counter. The color page was just a dinosaur with a book, nothing interesting, but Jazz had said coloring is a relaxing activity. Which he was hoping was true. Mostly, Danny just needed to do something with his hands before he started accidentally using his powers... or go to the bathroom to fly out to mess with those muggers. That was very tempting option. He wonder how long it would take him before Jazz finds out.

The door to the library chimed open. “Hey Babs, sorry I was running late. Jaybird needed my help. So how things with the new girl going-?” A man walked in with a t-shirt and sweats, leaning over the counter looking at Jazz's back. His hair loose, but brushed out of his face, eyes blue and hair black. “Well, considering you already mistaken  me for a season veteran in the library, I would say good.” Jazz turned around to smile at the man, taking off her reading glasses. The man did a double take, eyes widening, before running his hand through his hair embarrassed. “Man, and I get onto Timmy for not sleeping enough. Please don't tell Babs.” “No need, I saw the whole thing.” Barbara smiled, as she rolled her wheel chair next to the rolling chair Jazz was in. They look very similar, one might think Jazz was her younger sister. Didn't help they dressed about the same too. Jazz's face just was more round and her body was skinnier framed.

“Ah... No hope this isn't going on family chat.. huh?” the man jolted and then lowered his shoulders as if the answer was already given to him. “Are you guys related?” Jazz asked tilting her head, glancing between them. “Oh no, we've known each other since we were young.” Barbara clarified. “Making it sound like we're old.” The man grinned. “I'm Dick Grayson, Babs didn't tell me she hired her doppelganger. “ Dick held out his hand to shake Jazz's, giving a playful wink. Jazz reached out and shook it. “Maybe that's because she's off limits.” Babs smiled, as she leaned forward on the desk that sat behind the counter. “Is this because she has red-hair?” Dick taking back his hand, frowning at Babs. Babs leaned into Jazz with a nudge and a wink, “Don't fall for his charm. He doesn't know he's doing it.” Dick sighed, as he leaned on the counter, propping his head up with his hand. Jazz chuckled. “I'm not the one that needs to be charmed, if anyone has a chance with me.” Jazz smiled then looked back at Danny, who had been watching them this whole time from the little area he sat at. “This is my son, Danny.” Danny glared at Dick, bringing the point in. “And I'm Jasmine Nightingale, please call me Jazz.” Jazz smiled back at Dick. Dick blinked for a moment, looking between Jazz and Danny. They knew it was jarring with how young Jazz looked, but it was plausible. Dick then smiled at them, whatever thought he had, he kept it to himself. “Its nice to meet you, Jazz. Really, I am sorry for the mistake, but you two could pass off as sisters.” Dick then glanced back at Danny, giving him a brighter grin. “Its nice to meet you too Danny.” Danny glanced at Jazz, who was looking at Danny expectantly. Danny frowned, then idea popped as he grinned, “MOM says I'm not allowed to say curse words. Mr. Bleep.” Dick put a hand over his mouth as a snort come out. Babs turned her head. “Danny.” Jazz whispered harshly. Danny put on his best innocent face, which looked heavily mischievous instead. “Oh, so I can say it?” Jazz narrowed her eyes at him, trying to calculate how she should phrase it. “Only when you're referring to Mr. Grayson, or calling him.” Danny raised a brow, staring at his “mom” for a good long moment, then grinned cheekily. “Hey dick!” The tone was obvious. He wasn't using the name version of it. “Hey Danny!” Unfortunately it didn't have the effect he wanted as Dick was grinning ear to ear. Barbara shoulders were shaking a bit. Jazz turned back to Dick with a sigh. “Sorry. Danny doesn't really like to meet people.” “No need. I thought it was funny. The kids in my gymnastics class always get a kick out of my name.” Dick smiled. “Parents keep trying to force them to call him, Mr. Grayson. It doesn't work out too well.” Babs smiled. Danny stuck his tongue out. Of course someone who actively goes by Dick would be unbothered. He turned back to coloring, though pressing the crayon on the paper a bit too hard. “Oh, you teach gymnastics?!” Jazz asked curiously. “On the side. In Summer, I do it more. Especially with kids.” Dick explained. “I'll have to remember that for next year.” Jazz hummed with the thought. “I'm not going to dumb gymnastics class.” “It might help perfect your landing.” Jazz smiled with a wink. Danny narrowed his eyes at Jazz and huffed with a grumble back to his coloring pages. Groaning when he ripped the page with the crayon, before face planting into the table. “Landing?” Dick asked, giving a sympathetic smile Danny's way. “Oh, yeah. He likes to jump off of walls and tables and counters.” Jazz not looking at Dick as she said this, but up at the sky. Then she met him with eye contact again. “He scares me half to death.” A snort was heard from where Danny laid face down into the table. “He thinks its funny.” Jazz smiled. Dick raised a brow and then glanced at Babs. Barbara was gathering papers and stacking them, but gave a smile and shift of the brow in response. Danny stared at them, peaking above his arms where they laid. Danny liked Barbara okay. She did remind her of his sister, but more laid back. Jazz didn't know the meaning of chill. This Dick. Danny snorted to himself. He wasn't sure of. He didn't seem interested in his sister, but you never know. All he knew, that his head hurts now. He folded down his phone, that had stopped playing minutes ago. He flipped over the torn color page, lazily. Laying his head back down and started doodling on the back with a crayon. Snap. He hated crayons. --owo-- “So she was the one Jay saved.” Dick and Babs had separated themselves from Jazz and Danny to talk. Needing the privacy. “Yeah. She told me after she came in a few minutes late. She looked like she ran the rest of the way. Danny flopped face first into the floor.” Babs smiled. “Jaybird did say the kid reminded him of Damian. I think I see it, besides flopping onto the floor.” Dick chuckled. “I wonder if him and Damian would get along.” “If Damian doesn't try to kill him first.” Barbara chuckled. Dick sighed with a nod, then raised his head to look out the window of the back break room. “She so young though. She doesn't seem like the type to have one... that early.” “I was surprised to, but that's the joy of people right?” “If only it was always joy.” Dick shook his head, hating to know what happen to Jazz that left her that young with a kid.  “And she goes to college?” “Yep. All on her own. She does have an uncle that she rely on from time to time, but prefers to make it on her own. All her paperwork checks out. Even had a name change. It seems she disowned her parents.” “That doesn't bode well.” Dick crossed his arms as he leaned against the wall. “There isn't any police reports, so I say it was a falling out. Or at least hope. But she's a nice girl and she handles her son surprisingly well.” “Can't help, but do a thorough background check, can we?” “I blame Bruce.” Babs and Dick chuckled. Barbara cleared her throat and continued, “I didn't dig too far. She's a psychology major and has been in the city for a few years now. Had jobs here and there. Lives near the narrows. Not pleasant area, but better than other places she's lived.” “Huh, I'll text Jay to let him know later. Kind of crazy she chose to move here though, has she lived here before?” Dick asked curiously. Barbara shook her head as she pointed for a bag of chips closer to where Dick stood. Dick took a moment then grabbed it, tossing the small bag to her. She caught it, and opened it. “No. They lived in a place called Amity Park all their life. I asked her the first day she was here, she said its not that different. Amity just smaller. So take that as you will, I couldn't find much about Amity Park, but the government has a place there. So if I had to place a bet, is they're the reason its strange.” Babs took a chip and popped it into her mouth. “I thought you said you didn't dig too far?” Dick smiled. Babs just shrugged. “Didn't. That was just all easy access.” “Huh. So she just trying to get away from it then.” “My guess, and the reason I stopped. Some people deserve to live free of their past.” Barbara took her turn to glance out the window. “Yeah.” Dick looking up at the ceiling. He couldn't help, but think of his brother. Of mistakes made in the past. Mistakes Dick has done. Bruce has done. “Well,  I just dropped by to give you the files B wanted you to check out. I'll let you go back to work. Can't leave the new girl hanging.” “She's doing fine. Honestly glad to have her here.” Barbara sounded like she wasn't in a hurry but she stuffed her face with a few more chips, before folding the bag and placing it on the table. She dusted herself off ready to go back into the fold. “I'll send you more things Danny does too. He does keep things entertaining. Yesterday after he came in from school, he just took a dictionary and spent the whole day finding out different ways to call his teacher out while answering his homework correctly.” Barbara chuckled. Dick whistled, “Jazz get upset?” “No, she helped him come up with the idea.” Dick got a laugh out of that. People really were surprising.

What if The Fentons and Gordons were related? What if Barbara Gordon had to scramble as her relatives were coming to town, relatives she hadn't seen since she was a kid and as such would be away from the Batcave. Rather than leaving Babs' to her fate of playing "cousin" minding the Batclan descend to assist their adopted sister in wrangling her extended family, which goes about as well as one could imagine with the Fenton Family.

This a good take! I can see the curiosity and detective impulse to know more about this surprise cousins that came to visit.

I mean, the older sister, Jasmine, makes sense as a cousin for Barbara. Redhead, older sister, responsible, smart. They are more like long lost sisters.

The younger brother, on the other hand... he's such a gremlin. One would say he fits best running around in spandex and being a menace.

When inevitably the batfam gets involved both parts get their identities found out IMMEDIATELY but for the sake of normalcy everyone acts as if they don't know anything....

Red Hood was captured by a group of cult-like scientists. This should have been the set up to some well earned sibling blackmail, had they'd been able to find him with the normal practiced ease. Instead, they can't find him at all. All they find is the ruins of some kind of summoning circle.

Jason, meanwhile, has had the weirdest experience in the world of being a sacrifice in some ritual, only for the summonings target to just uno reverse the whole thing and pull him in. He finds himself in a dimension of all green, a place they call the Infinite Realms. The creature his captors failed to summon gives him a proposition - help them save two kids, and they owe Jason a favor.

Hey, maybe making deals with the dead isn’t a good thing. But Jason was never against saving kids. Especially when he gets the help from one Jasmine Fenton.
