No Big Deal, Circa Survive and Thrice Are Going Out On Tour Together And We’re Currently Freaking Out
Oh, 2008. What a wonderful year it was for music. Not only was the heavy music scene healthy and living well with bands like Metallica, Underoath and The Mars Volta releasing new albums but the indie scene was also starting to blossom with bands like Vampire Weekend, TV on The Radio and Girl Talk.
In addition to seeing some pretty big albums released, which may or may not include Kanye West’s 808s and Heartbreaks, the touring market was also flourishing as well. One tour, for example, saw two bands come together to support a couple albums called The Alchemy Index Vols. I & II and On Letting Go. Those two bands were Thrice and Circa Survive.
Now, you might be wondering what the hell we’re getting at or, by reading the title above, you know exactly what’s going on. Either way, spoiler alert, Thrice and Circa Survive are going out on tour again and we are incredibly excited.
Not only is this going to be an insane blast from the past but along with two of the more iconic bands in our scene touring together, Thrice and Circa Survive have also decided to bring along Chon and Balance And Composure rounding out a night of pure musical excellence.
Tickets for the highly anticipated 26-date tour are on sale now and can be found here. For tour dates and locations, see below. (Also, if you haven’t pre-ordered Circa Survive’s forthcoming album The Amulet, you can do so here.)
Tour Dates: 11/02 San Jose, CA – San Jose City National Civic 11/03 Los Angeles, CA – Shrine Expo Hall 11/04 Los Angeles, CA – Shrine Expo Hall 11/05 Mesa, AZ – Mesa Amp 11/07 Dallas, TX – Bomb Factory 11/08 Houston, TX – Revention 11/10 Lake Buena Vista, FL – House of Blues 11/11 Lake Buena Vista, FL – House of Blues 11/12 Miami, FL – Fillmore 11/14 Charlotte, NC – Fillmore 11/16 Silver Spring, MD – The Fillmore 11/17 NYC Terminal 5 11/18 Sayreville, NJ – Starland Ballroom 11/19 Sayreville, NJ – Starland Ballroom 11/24 Philly – Electric Factory 11/25 Philly – Electric Factory 11/26 Boston, MA – House of Blues 11/27 Boston, MA – House of Blues 11/29 Toronto, ON – Rebel 12/01 Rochester, NY – Main Street Armory 12/02 Cleveland, OH – Agora Theater 12/03 Detroit, MI – The Fillmore 12/05 Kansas City, KS – Uptown Theater 12/06 Clive, IA – 7 Flags Event Center 12/07 Chicago, IL – Aragon Ballroom 12/08 Minneapolis, MN – Myth Live

Balance And Composure Plan to Say Farewell
All of us at Sight & Sound are big fans of the grunge revivalists, Balance and Composure. Unfortunately today the band took to twitter to announce they will be embarking on a farewell tour. In a tweet the band said this about the shows: “When we played our ten year anniversary shows in January of last year, we had no intentions of them being our final shows. Due to some internal and personal discussions, we were unable to decide our fate as a band at the time. We all needed to take some time to live our lives and step back for a minute. We got together a few months ago and realized we wanted more. We never envisioned an ending to what we had built together, let alone an abrupt one. Now that it is upon us, we want to go out on our terms. We are happy to announce that we will be playing 6 shows this Spring to say goodbye. These shows are all we have planned in our future and we would love if you joined us one last time.” You can check out the dates below, and tickets go on sale Wednesday at 10am local time.

Circa Survive and Thrice Team Up for Fall Co-headline Tour Accompanied by Chon and Balance & Composure; Coming to The Bomb Factory in Dallas on November 7th
Circa Survive and Thrice pleasantly surprised everyone by announcing a joint tour that will see each act performing a headline length set at every stop of the 22-city run. Beginning in San Jose, California on November 2nd at City National Civic Auditorium, the tour will run on for a little more than a month. The two juggernauts of the post-hardcore/alt-rock genres will make there way from coast to coast with various stops asking the way, ultimately concluding the run on December 8th at Myth Live in Maplewood, Minnesota. Seeing that pairing of bands would be extraordinary enough even on their own, however, Chon and Balance & Composure will be making the trip with them, warming up audiences for the powerhouse displays that are bound to come. VIP packages and pre-sale tickets are available to purchase now. General sales begin on July 28th. Don't sleep on these, as they are certain to sell out. New tunes - @Eisley premieres ethereal “ Louder than a Lion” Music vid.
Eisley is now premiering an ethereal new video for "Louder Than A Lion" via Youtube.com/equalvision. The video was filmed in Nashville, TN with director Israel Anthem (Mutemath, Shiny Toy Guns, Paper Route). "Louder Than A Lion" features guest vocals from Circa Survive's Anthony Green and comes from Eisley's fifth full-length album, I'm Only Dreaming. The album was recorded in Tyler, TX with producer Will Yip (Circa Survive, Balance & Composure, Lauryn Hill) and was released on February 17 via Equal Vision Records.
The band is currently on a full US headline tour with support from Civilian and Equal Vision Records' newcomers Backwards Dancer. Eisley will also perform at SXSW 2017 on March 15. All upcoming dates can be found below.
Eisley's current tour lineup includes: Sherri DuPree-Bemis (vocals, guitars), Garron DuPree (bass), Remington DuPree (drums), Elle Puckett (lead guitars, vocals) and Jedidiah Lachmann (keys).
I'm Only Dreaming is available now at eisley.merchnow.com, independent record stores, digital retailers and Youtube.com/equalvision. The first pressing of I'm Only Dreaming on vinyl includes five variants: opaque oatmeal (tour and MerchNOW variant - limited to 1500), green/cream haze (MerchNOW variant - limited to 500), opaque light teal (tour VIP bundle variant - limited to 500), blue/green in white retail variant - limited to 1000) and red/black swirl (indie exclusive - limited to 300).
The album stays true to form of the band's signature dreamy sound, with DuPree-Bemis elaborating, "Musically, you could say it's classic Eisley, in the sense that it’s melodic, moody pop and is written from the heart. Lyrically, it’s very whimsical; it has a vibe that will take you into its own world and let you escape your normal life for a few minutes. I like to cloak things in a little mystery and romance; I think it’s part of what makes all of Eisley’s songs sound like they’re from the same world. Every record is like opening and reading a book in a series."
