Deuce's Liongarb SSR is finally out in the world! I thought that he'd be getting the outfit from Vil or Kalim, since the former is the event R card and the latter is Deuce's Duo partner. Precious new rerun SSRs, like Yasmina Silk/Silk Adorned Vil and Applepom Jamil, were gifted their outfits by characters that were both the event R and their Duo partner (Trey for Vil, Jade for Jamil), so it wasn't clear what the pattern was yet.

... BUT TURNS OUT THERE IS NO REAL PATTERN 🤡 because according to one of Deuce's Liongarb voice lines, he got his clothes from L*ONA, the event SSR.... . . ...... .. . ..... . . . . . .. .... . . . For what reason, you may ask???? Cuz L*ona said "next year might be [Deuce's] turn"... LIKE HUH???? ? ? ?? ? ? ???? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN, KINGSCHOLAR 💀 I can't believe he's plotting to continue reaping students from NRC just so he can avoid fulfilling his princely duties and actually give the Sunset Warrior lessons to the victors... AND HE HAD TO GO FOR DEUCE, WHO'S A GULLIBLE BABY THAT THINKS THE BEST OF HIS SHADY UPPERCLASSMEN OTL Terrible, horrible, awful, no-good man... LEAVE DEUCE ALONE

This makes me think that maybe the initial card art and groovy are set one year later...? I bc could be wrong, but Liongarb Deuce looks slightly older and more muscular than he appears in his Clubwear card. Maybe it’s just the angle and lighting… but hey, it could explain why he’s in Sunset Savanna + the ring?

His arms completely bare, showcasing the intricate tattoos that wrapped around them in swirling designs. His servants had even taken the time to weave a strand of pearls through his hair. The overall image he portrays can only be described as dangerously attractive.

Dragon King!Bakugou, who informs you without a second thought that you look like a goddess. When your reply is ‘don’t insult the deities like that’, he smirks and steps closer. “Careful, my lady. Blasphemy is a very serious offense."
