Love at first sight ♥️ Happy Father's day!!

Note: I just panicked and sketched this in half an hour cuz i forgot it was Father's Day and I wouldn't have time to draw today!! 😆 Oh well, next week's drawing is already ready!

My second batch of venture bros genderbends are finally done! :D [first set here]

PLEASE LOOK UNDER THE CUT!!! I made all these nice drawings and doodles of them and I want people to see them without this post being super long! :') [My thoughts on the designs and doodles will be under the cut as well]

Okay NOW I'm going talk about my thought process on some of these:

Baby Rusty: I love the baby Rusty, the frilly socks and sleeves were a must. I actually drew her with the original set of genderbends but I turned off her layer and forgot about her 💀

Jonas Jr: not much to say about her, I tried to make her like Rosie the Riveter. Her little bandana has the Venture logo on it :)

Jonas Sr: I wanted her to be a hot bitch, her outfit is maybe a little scandalous for the time era they were in but I think it fits, canon Jonas is a whore. I think everybody would want her and that every celebrity, politician, and anybody with any power would chase after her so badly.

Blue Morpho: I made her so incredibly slay. I fucking love her outfit, I found the inspo for the outfit on Pinterest but I changed it up a bit. Also her gun has the bayonetta butterfly wings on it as a charm because I HAD TO.

Colonel Gentleman: Not a lot to say, I wanted to give her like horse riding esque boots and I gave her a purple flower cause she likes the ladies. I know generally WLW flowers are Violets and Lavender but I wanted to draw a rose so, Purple rose compromise <3

Dr.Boyfriend 2: With my last round Dr.Boyfriend was the only one people had complaints with. I think people wished he was more Masculine and I agree but if I switched up the design too much it wouldn't look like Dr.Girlfriend. I hope giving him armor and making him look like a knight helped him look more masc. I made the sheer wings cross over his chest to make it look like it was holding up the shoulder armor. Also his guild book is insanely high quality because I was procrastinating drawing his armor.

Goofy and Goober (Watch and Ward): I think they ended up really cute, I tried to make their hair colors close to Doc and Jacksons since I heard they are supposed to be like their "main" self inserts. With Ward I had a really specific idea for her hair, I kept thinking about this haircut from my sims and had to do it. It might be hard to see but her ponytail holders have skull charms on them. I also purposely gave them both some sort of ponytail hairstyle so they would match but be slightly different :) (They are absolutely prank calling or trolling their clients on that phone btw)

Shoreleave: OH MY GOD I LOVE SHORELEAVE. I kept turning her folder back on just to keep looking at her when I was drawing the other characters. She is so captivating to me, she looks so soft and human. I want to take a bite out of her thigh. My biggest inspo for her was Cammy from Street Fighter, I felt like her dressing a bit skimpy works for her since canon Shoreleave kinda does. The girls out for the girls.

Alchemist: I love her design so much too. I wanted her to look like some kind of nun or priestess. She looks like if a Zelda fire temple was a person. I kinda gave her like a weird little hime cut under the hood. Also I put the Triad logo on all three of their designs (+ Triana).

Jefferson: Had a lot of fun with her, I didnt change her design much from canon though so there's not much to say. I did give her more flared pants though. Drawing her hair was a really fun change of pace, I very rarely get to draw textured hair.

College Rusty and Monarch Drawing: I love this one, Monarch turned out so hot dude. You can tell what character I like more LMFAO. I made rusty very obnoxious 80s while keeping the colors of the original college rusty outfit. Monarch kind of looks like postal dude but its fine because shes slay.

Hereditary Venture Family Dinner Drawing: This was one of the first drawings I started but the second to last one I finished. I wanted to draw the family doing something together but I think I really truly just wanted to draw Dermott again. 😭 Nobody has said anything if they noticed but I did give hatred the shirt from these edits. (I believe the one on the left is from reddit and the one on the right is by SquashFold on Twitter)

Dermott piercing Dean's ears drawing: Even though its messy its in the top 3 favorites I did, It was also the last one I did. I just love the idea of Dermott giving goth Dean at home ear piercings. At first I didn't know if I wanted to make Dermott giving her piercings at the mall where she works or at home but the mall idea was too much work for a last minute sketch. Dermott is so mean older sister who shoplifts and works at the mall.

Drug bathroom drawing: Another one of my favorites, its based off a specific deleted scene from Invisible Hand of Fate where Pete and Rusty talk at the bar but Pete comes out of the bathroom sniffling at the start. I love the way I drew Pete pushing the hair out of her face and both of their expressions.

Bdsm 21 drawing: Okay first of all, The little devil Monarch was so cute I was screaming, crying, and throwing up while drawing her. I fucking love her, shes the smallest part of the image but my favorite. I also am quite fond of the bdsm 21.

Quizgirls Pete and Billy: I tried looking up Vanna White dresses to base Pete's outfit off of but I couldn't find one that Pete would actually wear so I just had to make shit up. Billy's design is really basic but the bow in her hair is actually from one of my rejected main Billy genderbends.

Me and The Bestie: I put a lot of effort into this one for no reason. Literally the moment I saw Jonas in the problem machine I thought he should be made of like blue slime. When I was working on this I kept thinking about Momopatchi's Hatsune Microbe drawing so this Jonas was definitely inspired by that. I gave Jonas makeup because she was having a party movie night on gargantua and I felt like she would still have makeup on thats like completely fucked up and deteriorating on her face after many many years. Vendata's outfit was partially based on Marguerite Chapman's from Flight to Mars, never seen it but I was looking up old sci-fi movie costumes to work with and I thought it would look good :)

When you were at a fair in New York he proposed at the top of the ferris wheel and of course you said yes.

The best part about being engaged was having the promise of forever with Keys. Soon you were married in Hawaii and had your honeymoon there as well flying in a helicopter to see the best view of the island. Now a married woman you and Keys decided to start a family together. You had so much love for him and after a year of trying you were pregnant.

Sometimes you would play some music and game along with him or just playing your own game. They were a handful and you were exhausted as new parents but the babies grandparents were happy to be taking care of them.

So many pictures were taken of the twins and you made a big scrapbook for them and for the family. All of your friends and family loved spending time with them and you would have family days and picnics in the park together once a month. The kids loved Keys Jr and Zelda and as they got older loved to play video games. Each day with the twins and your Keys were the best days and you cherished the love and family you had.

Chapter One

Path of Darkness, Part Two

The next few weeks were hard on us. Link’s position in the army meant he was away most of the time. He helped the soldiers train in the yard, and I watched when I could, when I was not too tired from the exhaustion of pregnancy. Zelda watched Little Link most of the time, and our other sage friends came to visit us and encourage us from time to time, after they had heard of our house being destroyed. Ruto and Daurina were the most interesting visitors. They brought news from the Zora River and Death Mountain when they came, mostly things to do with their friends and family members.

But some news was not so good. Nabooru of the Gerudo brought dark tidings from the Gerudo Desert. Far off, along the Snake River, her scouts had reported that dark troops were massing at Hyrule’s borders. They wore black armor and flew black banners with the evil Black Lilly etched upon it. Blue and black dragons darted through the skies, and Nabooru even said that there was a rider on a dread crimson dragon spotted once.

I gasped and looked to Link. He had the same look in his eyes. We both thought it at the same time. That’s the dragon that attacked Dalamar! I thought of my friend on the Griffin Council and shuddered. He was such a powerful and majestic griffin, and it would take a lot to take him down.

During most of this time, Little Link was babbling more and more, but more often than not his little babblings would form into words. I was delighted that my son was such a smart kid, and Link was delighted too. We hoped our new baby would be just as smart as Link, jr. and that all of our kids afterward would be smartas well.

I seemed to get bigger and bigger every day, the child inside me growing until it felt like a huge boulder had grown on my abdomen. Every time the baby kicked I smiled and placed my hand on my belly, trying to get it to do it again. It even answered a few times.

And before we knew it, I was nearing the end of my pregnancy. Ariakas and his troops were still biding their time it seemed, and perhaps we were lulled into a false sense of security. But it was hard not to feel safe here, with hundreds of soldiers surrounding us and the fortress of Hyrule Castle looming high and protective over our heads. And the Dark Lord’s army would have to go through the Gerudos and the Zoras before they could ever get to us. Perhaps I was thinking too flippantly about this. But I had to say that I felt at least somewhat safe while I stayed there.

Soon I began to have false labor and I was put on bed rest. The castle’s healer sat with me at all times and assured me that the second baby was often easier to deliver than the first. My only fear was that we might loose this baby, like we almost lost Little Link. Tears welled in my eyes as I thought of that awful day. But with the quick actions of the healer and Zelda, Link, Jr was saved. I had that to hold on to.

I was sitting in bed one day, reading a book, when Link burst into our room. My mouth dropped open and the book fell from my hands at the sight of him. “Oh my Goddesses… Link… You look like hell!”

Link smiled me and whipped the grime and sweat off his forehead. He was entirely covered in dirt and sweat, now that I saw him. Once he smiled at me his face fell and he looked at me hard in the eyes.

“They’ve found the entrance to Ariakas’s realm.” He announced. “It seems he was hiding under our noses the entire time. He placed the entrance to the Shadow Realm in a place he never thought we would look.” His blue eyes flashed. “It’s hidden in the Forest Temple.”

I blinked and really thought about what he had just told me. Then I felt the color drain from my face as I realized what that meant. “Oh… my goddesses… Do you mean the Dark Lord has been inside of Hyrule already?! Holy shit!”

Link nodded solemnly. “My thoughts exactly my wife. I could not believe it when I first heard it… But it’s true.” He came to sit on the bed, nearly lowered himself down beside me, but then seemed to think better of it as he remembered he was covered in dirt. “If he’s been inside of Hyrule, he seems to have the same idea as we do.” He said softly. His mind was in a whirl.

I bit my lip and then I said “You mean he might know what we have planned for him?”

“He may.” Link said. His eyes went hard. “We will have to be extra careful. Or I will have to be, anyway.” His eyes flicked to my swollen belly. I rubbed it, blushing. “I can still go.” I said. “The baby is almost here! It won’t be long now before I can move around like I did when we went to the Water Temple!”

“My love.” Link gripped one of my hand in his. “I know you are a capable and strong woman. But even capable and strong women are weakened after giving birth.” He gave my hand a firm squeeze. “We’ll have to move quickly or else Ariakas might learn of our plan. I trust you and I love you but I just don’t know if we can wait for the baby to be born before we try to infiltrate the Dark Realm…”

I opened my mouth to protest, but at that moment the shattering pain of labor hit me like a truck. A strangled cry wrenched itself from my throat “URAGH” I cried. “Link! It’s… Goddesses… the baby… it’s… time…!”

Link went white as a sheet. “Oh, no! Hold on honey I’ll go get the healer!” He kissed the back of my hand and then hurried form the room. Even as his muddy boots disappeared around the edge of the door I knew that the baby would not wait for the healer. My first labor had been short and I suspected that this one would be as well.

By the time the healer arrived I was well into the delivery. Lilly, Aria and Navi, whom we had feared lost to us in the attack on the house, had returned to us only a few days ago. Now they fluttered by my bedside, frantic and encouraging at the same time as I brought our newest miracle into the world.

The healer arrived in the nick of time. As I lay there in agony on my back she examined the birthing canal, repositioning my legs and hips so that the baby had easier access into the world. She and the fairies uttered words of encouragement and the healer had Princess Zelda draw some hot water and get a cloth.

And before we all knew it… the sweetest sound in the world filled the room. A baby’s crying. I breathed in relief as the little one screamed its little lungs out, the sound healthy and robust.

“Congratulations” said the healer “it’s a girl.” She handed the little bundle to me, wrapped in a warm blanket. The little baby girl’s fists clutched tightly together and she wailed and whimpered, even as I tried to shush her.

“She is so beautiful.” I said, tears filling my eyes from both the exhaustion and joy of the birth. I snuggled the girl close and shushed her. “There there baby, it is all right. Mommy’s here. And so is daddy.” I looked to Link and he held out his arms, taking the new baby in them and holding her close.

“What should we name her my love.” I asked Link. He seemed unable to take his eyes off of his baby girl. It made me smile and the tears in my eyes renewed. I whipped them away but I was so overcome that I could not keep them at bay.

A smile crossed Link’s face. “I think you should name her, wife. I named Link, Jr and it is only right that you get to name our first daughter.”

I could not help but smile at that. I gazed at our daughter in his arms. She had stopped crying now, now that she felt safe and secure in her father’s arms. And she was a strong and beautiful little baby. I could tell already that she would be a fair and lovely maiden someday, with Link’s beautiful blonde hair and his eternal blue eyes.

I had a sudden thought as I looked from the baby to Link. They both had long, pointed ears, though the baby’s ears were very small and slightly bent. I remembered that Link was half-Elven, and then I remembered something in particular that I had once learned.

“Link” I said “You are half-Elven, are you not?”

“Yes.” Said Link. He looked confused for a moment before his face went from a confused to a wistful one. “My mother was an Elf.”

“And do you know any Old Elven?” I asked referring to the language of the Elves. It was a language one spoken all over Gaia, that formed the roots of our modern words and even remained with us today in the names of landmarks and rivers. I smiled at Link and my eyes twinkled. “Do you know the Old Elven word for Beauty?” I asked slyly.

He blinked and then he smiled as well, a kind of a sly smile. Link lowered our daughter to his chest and he looked into her rosy little face. “I do” he said. “I think that is a beautiful idea my love. You are so smart. That’s one of my favorite things about you!”

He handed the baby back to me and I grinned up at him. Then I looked down at our daughter. She looked at me, her blue eyes wide and searching. I rubbed her soft forehead with the pad of my thumb.

“Elyesia” I said softly, cooing to her. “That is your name little one. Do you like it?”

Elyesia giggled as I tickled her chest and she waved her little hands into the air.

The healer and Zelda exchanged a look and then smiled delightedly at us. “It is a beautiful name, Mistress Jenna” said the healer. “Yes” said Zelda. “I agree.” Lilly, Navi, and Aria danced around in the air, laughing. “It’s the most beautiful name in the world” they sang.

I laughed and held my daughter close. Elyesia squirmed a little in my grasp but she did not make a sound. I felt tears pooling in my eyes once more. Tears of joy. Tears of pure happiness.

Even in this dark time. Even with the Lord Ariakas and the Shadow Realm now looming ever closer, it was the happiest day of my life.

My happiness did not last long. Late into the night, Link woke me up. He was fully-clothed in his riding gear. The Master Sword was strapped to his back and I could see he had almost all of his weapons readied. I knew at once what he was doing and where he was going. I felt my heart sink.

“Link” I said “You cannot be going to the Shadow Realm! Not now! Our daughter was just born!” I got shakily out of bed my legs wobbling, but I went to him and I put my hands on his well-defined chest. “I want to go with you” I whispered and I felt a tear run down my cheek.

He hugged me tightly to him “I know you do my love” he whispered “But it is too dangerous with you in your condition. I will have my best men with me. Don’t worry I’ll be back before you know it.” Link took one of my hands and placed a kiss on the back of it, and he smiled down at me before releasing my hand. Our fingers brushed and then he turned to go.

“No! LINK!!!!” I called after him, but it was too late. He was gone and I could barely walk to the door to follow him.

Damnit… Damnit! I thought, crying my eyes out. He could not be leaving me. He could not be leaving our children! I forced myself back into the room though my legs were weak. Link would not do this without me. I could not let him put himself in such danger!

It took me a long time to dress in my riding cloths and strap on my weapons. I kissed each of my children good bye and went to go to Zelda’s chambers. Zelda was still up much to my surprise though she was dressed in her nightgown and her hair was in a loose braid thrown over her shoulder. She looked at me like she knew why I came.

“Zelda” I said before she could speak “Link has left for the Shadow Realm. He has left to fight the Dark Lord.” I grabbed her shoulders and gave them a squeeze. My legs were still very weak and it even hurt to stand up straight. “I am going after him. I know you and the king would rather I stay here but I just can’t let him just head into danger by himself.” I left out the part about Link’s men being with him. And Navi would be with him too. She had kept him out of danger throughout most of his travails but I would only be at peace if I was there helping him. I knew it and everyone knew it. I didn’t know why people kept trying to stop me.

Zelda held my arm with a comforting grasp and led me into her bed chamber. She led me to the bed and beckoned for me to sit while she remained standing. She watched me for a moment with her jeweled blue eyes before she spoke. “Jenna you are my dearest friend in the world. You are like a sister to me and your children are like my children.”

“I do know however that you are a fighter, that you are willing to fight for everything and everyone you love and hold dear. So I will not protest if you decide to leave.” She held up a hand when I tried to speak “I think it’s a bad idea for you to go after Link. But I don’t think it’s a wrong decision. If you go” she said softly “then you had better make it count. You cannot let the “Hero of Time” die. Not after his daughter was just born.”

I practically flew off the bed and stopped to peck Zelda on the cheek. “You are such a dear friend” I cried happily. “Please watch Little Link and Elyesia while we are gone. I promise we’ll both be back, safe and sound, before you know it!”

I didn’t stop to listen if Zelda had something to say me. I was out the door in a flash, running as best I could on uncertain legs down the hall, and out into the garden. Even this late at night there were guards patrolling. I didn’t have the ocarina of time, Link did, but I remembered that the Dark Lord’s hideout was in the Forest Temple. If I could sneak past the guards and out of the castle… Yes, that would work.

I slipped as a shadow past the low hedgerows and stone walls that littered the garden. My cat-like instincts helped me sneak past a few guards who I was certain would see me. But as though I were being watched by the Goddesses and Mother Sclyina themselves, I was able to make it past all of them and into a narrow water duct. It was just big enough for a child or for a small slim woman like myself. I got soaking wet but my weapons remained where I had placed htem and soon I was splashing through the castle’s moat and then through the mud and dirt to the hill that overlooked the castle town below.

I took a breath of the cool night air and looked up into the sky. Winter would be upon Hyrule soon enough and for now the moon hung huge and round above the land. I shivered at the chill wind that blew threw just then. It seemed an ill omen. I shook myself free of my thoughts and hurried down the hill, careful to avoid the other guards posted around the trail leading down into Castle Town.

The stables were dark when I came to them but a single torch was lit in the night. On one of the guards I knew was standing guard at the stables. It was Martin. He had a big bushy beard and he looked half asleep as I approached.

“Mistress Jenna” he said in surprise. “What are you doing here at this late hour?”

“Good evening Martin” I said hastily “I need my horse. My husband is in danger. No the entire realm is in danger, and if I don’t hurry it may be doomed!” Now wide awake, he threw open the doors of the stable and let me passed. I went straight to the stall with my horse Star Dancer, who danced nervously in her stall. I coud not help but feel that she knew how dire our straits were at that moment.

I saddled her up and threw on a bridle then mounted. I booted her in the legs and we were off, galloping past the other horses and Martin and flying into the night, lit by silver moonlight.

The ride to Kokiri Forest took nearly an hour, and when I arrived I leapt from the saddle and, with cat like grace, rolled in the dirt and hopped up to my feet near one of the first houses of the Kokiri. Every window was dark. Of course they would be asleep at such an hour. I could hear night birds and other animals calling from the depths of the Lost Woods. A chill ran down my spine as I remembered the last time I had been there. Those evil red eyes flashed behind my eyelids once more and I shuddered from the memory.

But this was no time to be scared. I had to press on. For Link, if for nothing else.

I took a deep steadying breath and hurried up the path to the entrance to the woods. I followed a familiar path, the path that would take me straight to my home. My destroyed home, I corrected myself. But Link had showed me the way to the Forest Temple once. It lay in a different direction than our house. I took that path and in no time I found myself standing at the cliff that led to the temple.

“Jenna” Lilly said suddenly. I felt my heart stall; I had forgotten she was with me. “Look up at that tree!” She flitted upward to the top of the cliff, where a single, twisted old tree bent over what looked like a stone pedestal. She flew around the top bough, which looked sturdy enough. “There are fresh marks here! As though someone used a hookshot recently!”

I squinted up in the darkness. In the light cast from my fairy’s aura I could see what she was talking about. That must have been Link I thought. So he was here already. I sighed and closed my eyes and called upon the Power resting deep within my body. The Power burst to life like an ember as I recalled how to use it. The princess had lent me many books about how to properly use my Silverlite power.

I could levitate. I flew upward and onto the ledge of the cliff, landing with no problem as I let go of the spark of Power. Lilly fluttered to me and stuck herself in one of my pockets. I made sure she was secure and then I hurried onward, through the tunnel leading to the Forest Temple.

The moon hung high in the sky now but it was well into its westward journey. It cast a ghostly light over the courtyard I found myself in. I could tell instantly that this was a place that had seen great evil. Even looking up at the front of the mansion gave me shivers. As I dipped my head I saw that the ground in front of me was disturbed I knew instantly that those boot-marks belonged to my husband and the men he had taken with him. It looked like there were three sets of boot-marks. They went toward the front of the Temple.

I resolved then that I would go inside and face whatever was in there, even with the threat of evil looming over the building. If Link could do it, I should be able to. I had already saved his life before in the Water Temple. I had even faced another evil there. I had faced Draconians and come out alive. And I could do this. I knew I could.

“Jen, I don’t like this,” Lilly whimpered from my pocket. I could feel her shivering there “I don’t like this one bit!”

I lowered my hand and let her climb onto my opened palm; she stood there shivering, fairy dust falling from her in sparkling pink and gold brilliance. “Then what do you think I should do? Do you think I should just go back and abandon my husband??”

“No,” Lilly gasped. “I just think… I just think perhaps you should… err…”

“If you want to stay behind, stay behind,” I said, trying my best not to be unkind. But it was so very hard. Especially when I knew I ws so very close to my soul mate. I lowered myself carefully to the grassy ground and let Lilly descend. She peeked out from between the blades of grass, and I knew she was reprimanding me with her eyes though I could not see them. “I’ll be back soon. Don’t worry my friend”

Lilly whimpered out some reply that I did not hear.

I raced toward the door, finding that it opened easily, if noisily. The high pitched screech of the rusted hinges made me frown and for a moment my heart seemed to stop beating. But as I waited for something to attack me in the dusty dark entrance hall I found myself in, I realized that there was nothing there. The place was empty, ins pite of the heavy atmosphere that hung over it.

I only made it three steps into the building before something terrible happened. A wall of shadow appeared in front of me with eight wriggling purple tentacles wriggling around it. Each tentacle was long and there were seven spikes on each of them. The inside of the black shadow was even darker black so that I felt like I had gone blind every time I looked into it.

“Oh, my Goddesses…” I gasped. “What the hell is that?!?!?!!!”

The evil thing laughed. It was a terrible laugh that sent spikes of cold into my very soul. “Ha, ha, ha. I would not expect a puny mortal like yourself to comprehend great power. I am the Shadow of Ariakas, girl, and I am your greatest nightmare!”

The Shadow moved faster than I had anticipated. It shot at me like an arrow and I was too startled to run before it captured me and swallowed me up inside of it.
