After enjoying a phenomenal run for over three weeks, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan slowed down its pace at the Chinese box office. Though the humungous collections has helped the film to stand as one of the biggest Bollywood grossers. Till now, the cross-border social drama has raked in Rs 249 crore in China and with the contribution of this business, Bajrangi Bhaijaan now stands with the grand total of Rs 875 crore at the global box office. It is currently the fourth highest Indian grosser of all time after Dangal, Baahubali 2 and Secret Superstar.

Directed by Kabir Khan, the film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Harshali Malhotra, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sharat Saxena in pivotal roles. The film is released with the title of Little Lolita Monkey God Uncle in China. It is produced under the banners of Salman Khan Films and Eros International. Despite being the first outing of Salman Khan in China, the film has managed to attract the audience to the cinema halls due to its emotional content.

The story of Bajrangi Bhaijaan is about an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Hanuman, and his arduous journey to reunite a six-year-old Pakistani girl who somehow gets lost in India with her parents, back to her hometown in Pakistan. Given the success of Indian film releases in China, the studio and the makers are confident of the movie’s box office potential in China, one of more promising international markets for Indian films. Recognising the significant market opportunity in China, Eros and director Kabir Khan are once again coming together for a travel drama, “The Zookeeper” (working title) under its franchise studio Trinity. It will be shot in Hindi and Mandarin languages.

Who isn't waiting for SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2: The Conclusion to hit the theatres? Now, with only days left for the release, fan's excitement is on to some other level and it is reflected through the tweets and Facebook posts which are in abundance. The craze is such that the morning shows on Day 1 which is a working Friday are almost full. The expectations are way too high from this magnum opus. Going by the screen count which is around 9000, opening day collection has to be huge.  Producer Shobu Yarlagadda, at the trailer launch of Baahubali: The Conclusion, said, "The first part we didn't make any money that much I can tell you. The second one we will make a lot of money which will compensate for what we didn't make in the first part. The budget of both the parts together is around INR 450 crore." Going by the all the figures, the filmmakers have recovered almost the production money and now it's all about making money. From the last two years, one promotional strategy which has been working for the film is the mystery behind why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?  The film boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj. Down south, advance booking in phenomenal and it's slowly getting booked for the entire weekend as it has a four-day long weekend. The first part crossed INR 650 crore than second part would do 20 % or 30% more than Baahubali - The Beginning.  Amod Mehra It will take a bumper opening like that of a Salman film. The opening will be gigantic and the expectations are huge. The buzz of advance booking is also pretty strong. All indications show that it's going about INR 20 crore in Hindi dubbed category. Baahubali 2 surpasses Dangal, creates 400 crore club

Mumbai: Ever since its release last month, SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 has been on a record-breaking spree. Hindi-dubbed version of the magnum opus has now crossed Rs 400 crore, beating Dangal, which had a lifetime collection of Rs 387.39 crore at the domestic box office. Worldwide, Baahubali 2 has already crossed Rs 1250 crore, and is all set to enter the Rs 100 crore club in Tamil Nadu as well. In Kerala, the film made over Rs 50 crore, and continues to go strong, thanks to family audiences. This week, there were two big Bollywood releases – Sarkar 3 and Meri Pyaari Bindu. However, their opening day collections have not been too impressive, and Baahubali 2 has continued its winning streak. It remains to be seen in Baahubali 2’s Hindi version will start a Rs 500 crore club, or if its earnings will take a hit with the release of Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend next week. Bahubali 2 earned Rs 245 crore net and Rs 141 crore net approximately in the first and second week, thus taking to a total grand collection to Rs 386 crore approximately in the Hindi version only. However, Dangal crossed Rs 387.28 crore net in all languages but figure was surpassed by Bahubali 2 in five days flat. All languages collections till date for the second part of the film have been over Rs 775 crore net in India.
