Do they make... like... hearing aids for people who's hearing is *too* good so they can "turn down" the sounds or is that impossible or just too niche of a problem? Asking for a friend
#(the friend is me) (normal sounds are so loud to me that they hurt my ears)#i use a noise canceling headset but even with it on i can hear almost everything#it just protects my ears from a lot of the reverberation that causes physical pain#it also makes it hard for me to talk even though i can hear everyone around me#because i cant tell how loud im talking and will end up talking at my 'normal' volume (aka the volume at which i can hear myself)#and others will say im too quiet to hear#and i used to think 'ok but my hearing cant be that good. maybe i just have ear pain from allergies or something'#BUT tbe thing is im constantly having problems with things being too loud#i will try to turn the volume down on my computer or a video game only to find out that the volume is already as low as it goes#and anytime someone tries to show me something and put their headset on me or something i yelp because its so loud it hurts#yeah i dont often accept the offer to put other peoples headsets on anymore
