i dreamt i was running from serial killer omi but the dream was also pick-your-own-adventure style and after every few bits of dialogue i was presented multiple options to choose from, and after this happened 5-6 times (mind you i was drenched in blood and running away in a sundress the entire time) he breaks the 4th wall and tells me “wow you really aren’t the final girl” and that’s where i woke up

I'm sure it's no surprise to anyone that I hate Caitvi with a passion, however. The people on tiktok talking about how "Catradora walked so Caitvi could run" don't realize that mine and Vi's relationship and story is more similar to Catra and Adora than her and Caitler's ever was- only difference is that we're sisters and not romantically involved.
Also Catradora ran so Caitvi could trip and fall down a well, but that's an opinion so

Feeling conflicted about the cyberpunk thingy impulse is going for because like yeah it’s a great theme and I like the aesthetics a lot but what I really like most about cyberpunk is the themes of corporate alienation and/or transhumanism etc etc which I know will not be addressed at all and in fact it’s kind of stupid of me to expect that at all from a minecraft series. Does anyone else get that or just me
#this is an issue I’ve been having with mcyt content in general you know. not ragging on impulse specifically#it’s just… I find it difficult to reconcile the quality of narrative focused mcyt content with its complete lack of commentary#should it have commentary? I believe it could if it wanted to. I don’t think it has to#but then you see these genres being… skinned and worn as cloaks#taking the aesthetics and story without any of the meaning behind it#and when it was just Minecraft builds that was expected. I guess it is still expected and I’m being a huge snob#but like. mcyt narrative is so fucked from a quality standpoint. you can’t even have villains who are other mcyters because people#will get mad at them#is that an unrelated issue? maybe. but I don’t think so#idk. mcyters aren’t expected to be storytellers and they don’t need to be#but I see these things happen over and over again and it’s just uncanny to see something that walks like a story talks like a story#but at the same time has absolutely nothing of value to say#it’s very early on so maybe there will be something done with this concept but I doubbbt it. What if the Pale King locked himself away in the Dream Realm to recreate what he did to the Hollow Knight? After the Vessel leaked and he realized that it most likely had capability enough to suffer, but far far too late to even hope to do anything to fix it. He was beyond the point of no return, there was nothing he could do to undo the Sealing. And even if he could, there were no other options that he could think of of what to do about the Blazing Light.
He had no choice but to keep the Vessel sealed. No choice but to watch his kingdom crumble. There was nothing he could do.
Nothing, but to seal himself away in a self-imposed punishment in the exact same way he imparted onto his only (known) living child.
A weak attempt to impose the same agony onto himself as he forced onto them.
And should the people of his kingdom stop worshiping him and forget he exists, dwindling his power and life to a pathetic end?
Well...
Perhaps that might've been for the best.
