"Esther, I thought you might like these pens - since they're cute and pink! Thought they'd be perfect for you!"

He had always associated Esther with the colour pink and upon seeing the adorable little mascot atop each of the pens, that had practically sealed his decision on the spot.

"But that's not the end of it! Let me take you out for cake!"

This day was...not her best.

The rain had returned. Her mother was still working and wasn't able to join her for breakfast. She was late for class, forgetting a homework assignment at home and she wasn't able to return to get it back.

It was...a lonely one. A cloudy one in her mind...that is, until she spotted Ryuji coming towards her with a sunny grin on his face.

Sun beats rain in rock, paper, scissors.

As soon as he revealed the pens to her, Esther's eyes widened, cheeks growing a flustered pink.

They weren't just pink pens, they had little bunny mascots on them...

They reminded her of the rabbit chocolates she gave him on Valentine's Day...was he inspired by them? Maybe.

But in any case...

"R-Ryujiii...."

One tear...two tears. Not from fear, sorrow, or stress like when she first met him...not from anger like she had when she first awakened her Persona...but...

Of Happiness. Of Love.

And she didn't want them to stop.

She embraced her boyfriend, burying her face in his shoulder.

"Th...thank yoooou!"

The mind wasn't cloudy anymore...and ending the day with her boyfriend and cake made the day all the more brighter.
