C:  How did you come up with the title to [insert fic?]

You didn’t insert any fic name haha so I’ll just do all of the ones I’ve uploaded.

-Hurt Like Hell, Heal Like Heaven: This one was actually originally the title of a South Park fic I never finished like years ago with a very different storyline and one day while I was scrolling through my notes app, I saw it, saw the title and thought that it’d make a great title for the fic I was currently working on instead! So, I took that title, and ended up using it for that! Like repurposing it kinda lmfao

-Stupid, Beautiful Cause: Describing Lute’s feelings towards Adam in the title. Like he was the cause for all the weird ways she started feeling and acting, and it was so stupid but… damn beautiful at the same time

-Vermillion: This was based off of the title of a Slipknot song I listened to A LOT while writing this. The actual title of that one was “Vermillion Pt. 2” but I simplified it, haha. I listened to a lotta Slipknot in general in the process of this, but I feel like this one fit the most due to the title itself describing the color of Adam’s demon wings and also the lyrics remind me of how Adam probably looks at Lute after he realizes he’s a demon. Thinking he’s not gonna be accepted but still holds her so dear to his heart!!

E: What character do you identify with most?  Is there a certain fic of yours that captures these qualities particularly well?

In general, I identify with a lot of different characters for various reasons. Like Nicole from Co09, Olive Penderghast from Easy A, Kim Pine from SPVTW, and Max from ST. (There’s prob more) In terms of the ones I’ve actually written fanfiction about though, I lowkey relate to both Lute and Adam at the same time LMFAO. In general, I think I’m pretty sarcastic/snarky for the most part, just getting a kick out of messing with people (not in a bad way i promise its all in good fun unless theyre a legitimate asshole) though at the same time it also seems like I’m very done with everything some days. Other days though, I can be off my sht if you get me pumped, and I fucking love metal dude. I think pretty much all my fics are somewhat self-indulgent in ways, like essentially describing my ideal dynamics/processing certain situations and stuff. So there’s that!

J:  What’s your favorite fanfic trope?  Have you written it?

CLASSIC HURT/COMFORT! And yes, all of my fics posted as of now are exactly that. But at the same time, I dig a solid band AU or just two characters having the absolute times of their lives together, acting like idiot assholes just doing dumb shit they know they’re gonna regret the next morning, but, eh! paige: dove familiar named olive. magic color’s either a nice light blue or green. her whole prophet thing could mean she husks out in this au and just chills at tier one because she has the money to afford the gems to stabilize while other people who go husk (cough faulkner cough) are not financially stable enough to. i’m going with that. i’m not joking when i say i’m doing most of this off the cuff lol

hayward: basset hound familiar named columbo. magic color is a deep brown. one of the less respected guard members who does his best. once corruption is revealed in the heart of the administration, he is grabbed by a dove husk (paige) he is sent to kill and runs close to canon that way

shrue: shrew familiar named cashew. cmon. magic color is an uneasy orange. an overworked member of the administration who rose the ranks with the intention of undoing harm, but is instead walked over and talked over and makes very little change

gage & mercer: it’s canon that twins will have the same kind of familiar, so they both have deer - but only one has antlers. they never make it clear which familiar belongs to who. i have no clue what their magic color would be but theyd be slightly different hues off each other. they hunt husks, but they seem to like it a little too much, and they like to wear the remains of their hunts.

In a nightly delirium, me and my friend created this hellish crossover no body asked for. It started as a joke but quickly spiraled into just ... us fully giving the Strawhat crew full classpects and (lazy) Alternian names !!! Just a little brainstorm experiment 

Idk does this hurt more the Homestuck or One piece audience... This definitely has been done before 

BIG Rambles and explanations below (SPOILERS FOR ONE PIECE) 

- SO most of these we based on their canon birthdays, except for Robin, Franky and Jinbei for variety and like... How can I not make Jinbei a violet given he is a fish man 

Luffy: 

-Literally both Heir and Breath fit Luffy so well, given how much change he causes in others and the situation around him. Heir means “a person who inherits” and in the Homestuck world they create and bring change via their aspect, and he really does create change. He values freedom and plus the sign of “The Liberated” really fits if you know what recently developed in the manga ;)

-I think even in alternia he would be the same, even though I dont think Alternia has pirates ( maybe there are space pirates). So lets say he wants to rule as a Space fleet captain but doesnt want it to be under the Condesce so he intentionally/unintentionally starts a revolution. 

- Also he very much wouldnt care about the Hemospectrum, like the carefree lad he is

Zoro :

-Another one that wasnt very hard to fit into. Hes a fighter, he had a kinda difficult life and is generally very action oriented which fits very much into Time-bound. The Knight aspect was put in more for his connection with Luffy and how he vowed to always be by his side, but he also generally protects his friends a lot. Hes very much a servant in his own goal of becoming the strongest swordsman. But ,especially in the earlier arcs, Zoro was always dealt with heavy punches and wounds, yet he still fought through them and pushed foward.

- Again would be very similar to how he is in the series, just maybe like is in an underground fighting rink or something to look for strong players

Nami: - Blood seems like an odd fit for Nami in particular, but it was chosen mostly cuz its an aspect tied to connection and Nami is a very sneaky individual. She is a thief and knows how to swindle ppl in her favor but she did it for her village, her closest bond at the time. Plus Blood-bound are usually seen as spiritual leaders, which I think fits her as the teams navigator. The thief class is mostly there for her thieving nature

- Also you'll notice that some of these guys are pretending to be some other blood casts for story reasons. For Nami specifically, since Lime bloods in homestuck canon are dead, lets say she hides as a teal so she doesnt get killed. Plus it wouldnt be beyond her to have a few different colored outfits to blend in the higher casts so she can steal stuff better

Usopp: 

-Of course this giant ass liar would pretend hes a higher cast then he actually is. Honestly Id think he would lie he is a full violet, but he doesnt have fins, so lets make a stretch he lies about being an olive cuz hes being more realistic. He went to the extend of getting clothes from a dead olive that has blood so he can like “prove hes really an olive (the clothes clearly dont fit). Plus id assume he would be very scared of high bloods, so olives (being the most secluded) would be something he likes 

- For his classpect, Hope bounds are kinda liars, which fits him perfectly. Theyre also very imaginitive and dreamers. Usopp wants to be this great warrior, but he knows he doesnt really have the means to be, so he fakes it. He spins himself a false hope narrative with his tall tales. But Hope-bounds are also driven to be heroes and help. Despite being scared and cowardly, Usopp always manages to get up and help his friends in times of crisis, making hope for himself and sometimes others, thus his Page class. 

Sanji: - Ohohohoho this one was super fucking fun. Other then the obvious, Heart bounds are driven by their passions and ideals and so is Sanji. He is willing to defend them at all times and is proud of them. He isnt willing to hide from it. Now the prince would be a little contradictory for everything ive mentioned about Sanji, but it was chosen mostly for his past and how he had to destroy his princely title to become who he wanted to be. Plus he literally is a prince so it had to be done

- By his own birthday he would be a Fuscia, and in this hypothetical universe Ive made the executive decision that the Condesces epmire got so big she couldnt rule over it all by herself so she genetically engendered 5 fuscia kids (Sanji and his siblinds) to help her rule, but obviously her ran from it.  He hides a Bronze so he could persue his cooking passions

Chopper: 

-Another one that isnt too hard, he is a doctor and a healer so he got the most healer classpect combo. 

- sorry my child you were just simple

Robin:

- She is a Violet by her birthday, but idk it just didnt really fit her personality and general vibe, so she became a Jade for her more motherly mature role in the crew all round. Plus her wanting to live and escape her situation would fit a jade who doesnt want to be be in the brooding caverns

- One more not too complicated classpect. Light- bounds are knowledge seekers and schoolars, which fits Robin well. She is willing to risk everything for the percuit of truth and knowledge. Theyre also kinda mischievous and rule breakers, which i believe Robin has a bit of. Mages are ppl who gains knowledge, which just reiterates what i said 

Franky:

- another changed blood cast, only cuz hed be a fuscia and I simply cant see Franky as one.

-He was one of the most difficult to nail down, but I think we did him justice. Now Void seems kinda unfitting for the flashy Franky, but Void was chosen for the fact that Franky is kind of a confusion with his limitless cyborg gadgets. Plus Equius is a void player and he is an engineer so might as well . The Sylph also doesnt seem like the most obvious fit but he kinda is a healer of the Thousand Sunny who he made and maintains, along with other weapons and machinery and even his own body.

Brook: 

- His classpect is much more surface level. Space-bounds connected to the arts and Brook is a musician so its a fit. Plus they tend to rescycle things and make them into something new, which kinda goes in line with Brook kinda getting a new life. Maid goes also in line with his musicalness, but also both the Maid players in Homestuck are kinda connected to death

Jinbei:

-Another one that got changed because he just had to be a violet. He is always a fish man its just how it is

- Another one that was difficult, cuz Jinbei is relatively new and doesnt have the mountains of screentime as the rest,  so his classpect was done a little loosely. Rage players are there for truth and justice, but theyre also bring chaos an confusion. This doesnt fit in with Jinbei until you add the prince title, a destroyer class. In my mind this causes a contrast that kinda fits Jinbeis wish for order and stability. He wants to do anything for the people hes close to. Idk his im kinda mulled over cuz I dont know him too well

This might be a weird question, but I recently started living by myself, and one of my biggest struggles lately has been figuring out what to eat everyday, cause I have to find cheap and easy stuff since I’ve never been a really good cook lol. For some reason I thought you might know of some recipes that might work for me? You don’t have to answer this, but thank you so much if you do ❤️ hugs

i'm not a very good cook tbh, and my taste in food is especially bland, but i can share the few things i do know! i'll put it under the cut bc ik i'll ramble lol

i stock up on sandwich ingredients since it's cheap and easy to make and u can make a bunch of them!!! if u have money for a frying pan u can make sandwiches soooo good. i make a lot of grilled cheese in the frying pan!!! i just put 4 slices of turkey w a slice of american cheese in the middle and top it with white bread, then coat the pan in butter and fry the grilled cheese on either side for about 1-2 mins on low temp, until the bread turns golden brown, n that's it!!! u can add other stuff im just rlly bland w my food yk. i also make a lot of tuna fish sandwiches lol, i just mix tuna with mustard and mayonnaise (you can guess how much you need of either tbh) and put that between two pieces of toasted white bread, u can add seasonings to it but again im bland lol

SALAD STUFF is a huge one for me, i always try to have salad ingredients at the house bc its such a good snack!!!! the way i make salads is really easy, i get spinach and spring mix salad, cut up 2-3 strawberries depending on their size, then throw in blueberries, purple and/or green grapes, a can of mandarin oranges, and top it off with a FUCK TON of feta cheese, and that's it!!! u can top it off whatever dressings u like, idrk what dressings would go good w this so use your own discretion ig but yeah its super easy to make, this is one of my go-to meals!!!!

if you have a frying pan, tilapia is really easy to make and it's cheap too!!! you literally just brush the top of the tilapia with olive oil, season it with whatever seasonings you like (i usually only put a little salt, pepper, and a light dusting of tony's chachere's) then fry it on both sides and then you're done!!

i make a lottttttttttt of smoothies, which you do need a blender for, but if you do have one they're really filling for meals!! my favorites are strawberry banana and peanut butter banana smoothies. i just put a cup full of crushed ice, a single banana, 3-5 strawberries depending on their size, a tablespoon of sugar, guess the amount of milk needed, then blend that all together!!!!! the peanut butter banana recipe is the same, except instead of 3-5 strawberries i put in a tablespoon of peanut butter!! theyre both soooooo good and filling and easy to make, definitely would recommend!!

generally a lot of small grocery stores will have weekly sales papers at the front of their store that are free for customers to take, it's good to get in the habit of getting those papers and basing ur meal preps off that!!! some stores will have better deals than others for the same thing, the sales papers helps to keep track of it all :') maybe that's basic info to some of u but i literally didn't know this until i met my bf's mom and it has changed my life lol

otherwise most of the food i eat is canned/refrigerated meals or store bought pizza tbh it's embarrassing how little i know how to cook lmao, but there are tons of recipes on the internet! i find a lot of helpful tutorials on youtube, instagram, and tiktok!!

she lived p much as a mortal even tho her powers r a lil freaky. never went to camp but it worked out bc all her abilities r internal and cannot be Perceived by others. she had a talk w hypnos abt what 2 do n he mentioned camps but also gave sum monster avoidance tips ( like rarely use ur powers, maybe learn self defense, yada yada ) n she jus ,,, did that so she cud continue livin real normal w the mortals. logistics of camp stressed her out esp bc shes livin w non-family n stuff yk it was All Too Much, miss her w the added demigod stress tyvm

hp update: chiristmas special event 2019

obviously this happened a few weeks ago. now i am nearly finished with random quidditch event 2, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

the event starts with finding out that both the mc and merula have no where to go for christmas this year, merula because her parents are still in jail, and me because my mom is visiting relatives and not taking me with her. is this really a thing in the uk? like boarding schools-- dropping your kid off at an institution and not seeing them for more than 2-3 months a year for their entire adolescence. if i was a magic parent or just a UKian i dont think i would be ok with that but whatever. it means that when bill comes back to the school to fix the curse pipes or something he can offer to let me spend christmas at his house, which i accept.

he offers the olive branch to merula but of course she brushes him off, says shell have a better time at hogwarts christmas if were not there. i was on a bit of a hallmark kick when this was taking place so when bill asks me what i think her deal it i pick the “she just hates christmas” option.

so holiday plans are set but bill still has work to do, so in the meantime i try to decide what kind of gift i can bring to the weasleys on such short notice. i ask a bunch of teachers what theyre holiday traditions are. hagrid gives everyone shitty fudge. flitwick carols in town. macgonagall might join him i forget. snape, in a moment of vulnerability not characteristic of himself, tells me he enjoys a nice quiet snowfall on christmas by himself. remembering the snowing charm merula taught me last christmas, i decide it is possible to improve on snapes christmas idea.

i have a level with merula in the courtyard where she catches me trying to do a bigger version of her spell, and i convince her to help me. i cast the spell but nothing happens u-u. however, the next day theyre has been record snowfall in hogsmeade, and the train station is closed. also the floo powder network just happens to be down as well. 

oh nooooo is christmas cancelled?! it shouldnt be because bill should be graduated at this point, right? thats why Dumbledore is having him help with the curse stuff. if he is graduated he should be able to apperate. maybe not from directly inside the school, but we should be able to just like... walk through the snow until we get off campus and then he could apperate us to his house. 

i bring this up because this event achievement is stored in year 2. but if this is taking place during year 2, then bill would be 14 and why would dumbledore be having him help fix the curse system? also, while the twins and percy dont make an appearance in this event, charlie does and hes not supposed to be introduced until year 4.  

it doesnt make sense, but anyway, then charlie, possibly age 12, tries to save the day by flying his dads illegal flying car to the school without telling his parents. i get the stopping weather spells charm from flitwick, pictured below

and at some point and do it and it seems like christmas is back on. then, just as we things are looking up again, it seems that a part has been stolen from inside the car and it wont start. none of these magic people know jack or shit about cars or how they work so a “part” is missing is the most specificity they can give and its both funny and relateable. 

bill and charlie immediately suspect merula. they also accuse her of sabotaging my snowing spell. i dont think merula would do that last part and i am eventually proven right, before then dumbledore gives me a parable about a boy doing some shit i forget but the moral was that merula took the part because she had changed her mind about spending christmas with us and didnt want us to leave. she gives the part back, is reinvited to christmas, and then we all go to the weasleys house. 

the weasely house levels were very strange both because they were situated strangley in the layout of the game, you could leave the house at any time and be back at the castle, but getting back in was a little trickier. the flying car stayed in the courtyard and youd have to go through it again and be scared that the game didnt save your place. the other reason it was strange was because all of the younger kids are upstairs sick and we never see them. mom and dad weasley are just like lets have christmas dinner without them, half of the family. 

my reward for the event is a snow globe with a little flying car in it that gives me 1 energy per day, that absolutely does not make sense for the weasely parents to give me but w/e. merula gets a slytherin weasley sweater U-U.

overall i thought it was an ok event but also confusing.

BOOKS I (RE)READ IN 2018: FURTHERMORE BY TAHEREH MAFI

Her only companion is Oliver whose own magic is based in lies and deceit. Alice must first find herself—and hold fast to the magic of love in the face of loss." "Red was ruby, green was fluorescent, yellow was simply incandescent. Color was life. Color was everything. Color, you see, was the universal sign of magic." "Love, it turned out, could both hurt and heal." "Narrow-mindedness will only get you as far as Nowhere, and once you're there, you're lost forever.” "Alice was an odd girl, even for Ferenwood, where the sun occasionally rained and the colors were brighter than usual and magic was as common as a frowning parent." "Making magic is far more interesting than making sense." So I actually read this book a few months ago and then recently reread it via audio so I could remember all the details for this review. I was first introduced to Tahereh Mafi’s work through her book Shatter Me, her debut novel. Ironically, it wasn’t through any of the ways I normally hear about books - Booktube, Goodreads, my best friend, Booklr - but from my husband’s aunt. She runs - or used to run, not sure if she’s still doing it - a book review blog. And she posted a review of Shatter Me and I was like, “What a weird, interesting writing style, lemme check this out.” At this point the entire Shatter Me Trilogy plus novellas had been published and I devoured all of them (still need to review those, too). So when I heard Tahereh Mafi was writing a middle grade book, I got super excited! Especially because this was during a time when I was too stressed out to read any YA, since most of the YA I like involves having to save the world and all the stress that entails. I need to lay out some trigger warnings real quick: the main character, Alice? Her mom is incredibly abusive, both emotionally and physically. It’s treated as not such a big deal in the book, which is honestly the story’s only real flaw, but it’s bad. It took me seven tries and resorting to an audiobook (and even with a fantastic narrator, that short audiobook took me almost a month to get through) because the abuse was so bad. So:

TRIGGER WARNING: THIS BOOK CONTAINS EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE OF A CHILD BY THEIR PARENT

Let’s get started, yo! First of all, the setting. OMG. See, I love tthis thing called Victorian fairy tales, which is something you can find in books like Mary Poppins - these super fantastical bits of whimsy that just warm your heart and make you grin because they’re so creative and fun. In the Mary Poppins books, you can jump into chalk drawings and go to a circus amidst the stars and make friends with a woman who sells living candy-cane horses. In Catherynne Valente’s Fairyland series, there are shadow balls and talking phonographs. And in Furthermore, there’s light raining down from the sky in literal drops, sticks of magic you use like money, and forests full of invisible berries. The way the world is put together and described, so full of color and imagination, is awesome and beautiful and I could picture it perfectly. It reminded me in all the best ways of books like The Phantom Tollbooth (one of my favorites). But I wouldn’t want to live there, because Ferenwood is full of colorism and ick. Alice, the female lead, is an albino in a world where color is important and the darker you are, the more magical you’re considered to be. So Alice gets treated like garbage. 

Also I think Alice may be autistic, but I don’t know if she’s deliberately coded autistic or if Tahereh Mafi did it by accident while trying to make Alice eccentric, but she comes across as autistic. I’ve actually begun to pay more attention to that sort of the thing in recent years, being autistic myself, and I see it a lot - authors giving their characters autistic characteristics, often without meaning to. I just touch on it here because Alice is already treated badly for being albino, but she’s also considered a freak because of the way she behaves - like an autistic preteen. And I wonder if Tahereh Mafi did that on purpose as a sort of commentary or not, because while Alice is treated badly by the people of Ferenwood for her behavior, the Narrator (who is an actual character in the story; love when that happens) always sides with Alice in this regard. The storyline is sweet and I love it. Alice tries to compete in the magical testing all the preteens do on their twelfth birthday, and so she dances. And her dancing is magical but it’s not Magical, you know? So she fails the test. Well, turns out a boy who passed the test the year before, Oliver (the brat), needs Alice’s help fulfilling a quest - rescuing Alice’s missing dad. So they go on a quest together, although Alice hates Oliver (and rightly so, he’s rude). They go to a dozen different and cool places, all of which are dangerous and all of which are different. I wish we could’ve spent more time in those places but I understand why we didn’t. The only annoying thing is there’s an origami fox on the cover but it only pops up in one of the worlds for like two pages and then it’s gone and I thought we could spend more time both in that world and with that creature since it ended up on the cover. But alas, not. I understand why - middle grade is often cursed to be short, especially if it’s the author’s first MG novel ever. Once you get big and bad like Rick Riordan you can start tossing out gihugic tomes like Son of Neptune or Blood of Olympus on the regular. Oliver’s reason for needing Alice was one I didn’t see coming, nor was her magical talent - a talent they hint at throughout the book but never explain until near the end, at the perfect moment. I thought it was an interesting commentary on how young girls perceive themselves, that Alice hates this marvelous, amazing talent she has of bringing color into the world from nothing...because she can’t use it to change how she looks. Society has trained her already, by the age of twelve, to discount something incredible about herself because she can’t use it to make herself into what society wants her to be. That’s pretty impressive for a book this short. I loved some of the more deliberate messages in the work - the thing I mentioned about society’s pressures on young girls, and also that it’s okay to tell boys to screw off if they’re mean to you, and to have hope and to look for second chances (Alice thinks she only has one chance to pass the test and believes her life is over when she fails, only to find out she can try again the next year). I love all of that, and the lyrical and whimsical quality of the prose, and the world building is so creative and also makes me a bit hungry (people eat magic in this book, among other things; I wonder what it tastes like). Now...let’s talk about the abuse. That’s my biggest issue with the book. Alice’s mother is a total bitch. And not in a cool, kickass way like the lady in the show Empire. She’s vicious, she’s cruel, and she’s abusive. Alice knows - and the Narrator confirms - that she turned bad when her husband went missing, and apparently the worry for him and the strain of raising four kids on her own is making her hard and sad, but I don’t give a shit. I was hoping Tahereh Mafi would’ve gone all Hansel and Gretel on this lady and when Alice comes home with her dad, the wife’s dead or something. She beats Alice (at one point she beat Alice for chasing a boy out of the place where she was sleeping, even though he kept staring at her in her sleeping clothes, because apparently the boy - Oliver - had the right to break into their barn at 3AM and ogle Alice???), she verbally abuses Alice, she sends her to bed regularly without dinner, is constantly criticizing, won’t hug her or kiss her, and - this one really got me, for some reason - forces her to do illegal things. Those invisible berries I mentioned? Alice can find them and bring back whole baskets because of her magical gift, and so her mom sends her out to pick them all the time. If she brings home enough, her mom smiles. If she doesn’t, her mom yells and calls her names and sometimes beats her. Guess what? Picking those berries is illegal. We don’t find this out until much later in the book, but it is. The thing I didn’t like about the berries is that Oliver, who’s thirteen, is less concerned about Alice’s mother beating her for not picking enough contraband berries and instead focuses on how her ability to find the berries in the first place means Alice has really impressive magic. NOBODY seems to care how much Alice is being abused, not even the Narrator. The Narrator sympathizes with Alice’s hurt feelings and despair over her missing Father, but it’s never objectively stated that her mom is abusing her AND SHE IS. Yeah, her mom is sooo glad to have her back after Alice almost dies on her trip with Oliver, but so what? My roommate’s mom is so abusive that my roommate’s clergy leaders, doctors, and psychological therapist all said my roommate needed to cut ties with said mom, even though my roommate’s mom has also exhibited the same kind of “oh baby I’m so sorry, I love you so much” bullshit. That’s what abusers do. So I hate Alice’s mom. She literally makes her daughter feel like if she doesn’t risk her life numerous times AND bring her father back, there is no chance her mother will ever love her. And if she pulls that stuff off (which she does), then MAYBE her mother will love her. Nuh-uh. Nope. Hate that bitch. Other than that, I really loved this book. The characters felt real (Alice is me, but without my anger), Even the ones I didn’t like were still REAL, and well-drawn. The world building and word choice is fantastic. Basically, if you can get past the evil mom, read this book. World Building: 1 star Realism: 1 star Word Choice: 1 star Plot: 1 star Characterization: 1 star - ¼ star because Oliver Newbanks is an obnoxious little creep - 1 star because the mom is AN ABUSIVE EVIL BITCH - ¼ star because NOBODY DOES ANYTHING ABOUT THAT +½ star because Alice is amazing and has a genius brain and I love her Total score: 4/5 stars Would I Buy It: Yes! I own it and loved it enough I got the sequel for Christmas (in...2017...I've been sitting on this review for months...)! Would I Recommend: yes, but with trigger warnings. Again, highly abusive evil bitch mom who somehow doesn’t die.

by popular demand, here is my oc chatter regarding stuff like relationships n random character traits. its rly long oops but i divided it by character at least lmao,, these are all things that i think id also wanna use if i ever use these characters as humans (which i def will at some point honestly)

- i thinkkkk i want toad and pike to date. toad would come across pike in their lagoon one day while hes wandering around on another wonked exploration and pike is like hey lol :B with their pointy teeth and long ass hair and toad is like :0 he just sits and talks with pike for hours and comes by a few times a week to hang out with them. they fall in LOVE

- fred and lani are def gonna date too. two butches who use he/him pronouns fuck yeah? they have a powerful relationship. mega BDE. power couple. not a lot of pda but alone together theyre both very loving and tender, its a vulnerability thing for both of them. like lani is very cool and can be either stoic or borderline obnoxious while fred is punkish. fred is very head over heels for lani tho 

- mardi n berg.....complicated....i gotta figure out how they actually end up together. berg is a jogger and mardi is a piercer/tattoo artist so that doesnt....make them line up very much in that department. ill think about it more and figure something out. itll probably have something to do with berg’s nose stripes and eye rings

- also side note on mardi......i want his backstory to include a grey period set off by his brother being eaten when they were both young at the troll tree. like he becomes angry and depressed, sorta like branch, his tattoos that he gives himself the only color on his body, until he learns to let go and his colors come back (high key this was inspired by 21 savage, mardi’s voice claim, and the line in his new song A Lot “my brother lost his life and it turned me to a beast”). ill develop this idea further but i just wanted to get it written down

- bismuth.......unsure. they had a crush on pepper and kept trying to ask her out until she came out to them as a lesbian, then they were like :’) but theyre ride or die theyre not gonna be an ass to her because they cant date her. they just care a lot about her. its like icarly

- bea and crystal.......adorabl relationship......crystal is another character thats kinda nervous but bea is so chill n confident is helps calm her down. theyre both trans and love the hell out of each other. rly slow n steady relationship, bea is very patient

- pj and marcus!!!! dumb mlm rep relationship. pj is so so gay for marcus he can barely comprehend it. its a dumb ego boost for marcus but hes also very in love with pj, he just expresses it in a weird cocky way idk marcus is a nerd. i need to make more content for them i think about these two way more than it seems

- dwight!! he has a boat. he lives on the boat.....ive thought about maybe pairing him with toad and pike. deciding on his voice claim has been the most difficult thing ever

- hammond and andromeda are probs two of my least developed characters.....hammond still needs a redesign. he might be cute to pair with walter, theyre around the same age. andromeda tho i have no idea. she might be a nice pairing with eve? if i ever feel like pairing her with someone...who knows. eve is very carefree and might find andromeda’s energy too intense

- mack’s parents, robin and champagne, i need to like....think about them more. they have kinda a comedic relationship thats sorta inspired by roger rabbit and jessica rabbit. robin is a very caring, gentle troll who’s very smart and cares a lot about his nursing responsibilities in the village. champagne is very relaxed and the “voice of reason” character of the family. she loves a good party and has her party planning down to a science. both are very successful power parents. kickass family

- i already talked about topaz and marney in a separate post but i still love them both so much. big wesbiabs

- pepper....pebber. im gonna talk about her the most obviously gfhjdkrs i wanna talk about her mental health i feel like i think about it a lot but i never write about it explicitly? this is gonna be long oops hgjfksd she has depression and ptsd stemming from the trauma of her crash...im thinking she also has adhd and thats just something shes always had. her depression rly got heavy during her recovery and right after like...she hated being bed/housebound and felt rly powerless to her situation and just let it eat at her until her personality had actually changed considerably. like extroverted wild child rebel to introverted, soft-spoken sulker. this got better with time but she still is pretty introverted, just turned her moodiness into chill energy. 

- she has bad depression habits like letting dishes, old food, laundry, or just stuff pile up in her room until it gets overwhelming and she spends like two days just manically cleaning; or staying in bed for way longer than she should and messing with her hygiene; or eating way more or way less than she should eat in a day. just stuff thats hard to completely break out of when youre recovering. her color is pretty consistently the dark red but if shes having a particularly rough day she might look a little paler, or like a muddy brick color at her worst. thats kinda rare tho

- her ptsd is the thing she hates the most. for a while it made her feel very weak and she’d beat herself up over being traumatized by the crash which was obviously not helpful to her mental state but she was really all over the place during her bodily recovery. its part of the reason why she started working out, she wanted to reclaim some sort of feeling of strength and power that she felt she’d lost completely. she still gets really frustrated with this feeling of loss but she gets a lot of support from loved ones which has helped her not self-blame so much. her ptsd manifests mostly as nightmares/insomnia, chronic headaches/stomachaches, intrusive thoughts and sometimes flashbacks. the nightmares are what rly get to her, she really doesnt get a lot of good sleep and it can get to the point where she just doesnt want to sleep sometimes and she’ll stay awake until she crashes hard

- her scars used to be a big trigger for her ptsd, which is why she has her bangs covering the one on her face and wears long pants (her knee braces are too bulky for pants and would force her to wear shorts which would force her to expose her scars). she just. really really hates them. this is something she struggles with for a majority of her life

- once she and mack start going steady with their dating and start consistently sleeping in the same bed, pepper starts to sleep better. she still has nightmares that wake her up at least weekly, but having mack there to comfort her (whether she wakes mack up accidentally or if mack is already awake) helps a TON with getting her back to sleep soundly. it also just helps her sleep in general to have that comforting, loving presence in her bed snuggled up to her ;w; mack is a big help in general with pepper’s mental health, pushing pepper to make better, healthier choices and get out in the village more and have fun. mack for sure does not “”cure”” pepper of anything but shes a very positive light in pepper’s life that helps her pull thru tough times!

Like, this dude is such an ass to Oliver and Myrtle, Ollie boy you deserve better than this, you’re a good boy you can just be friends with Myrtle okayOh my god I despise Lofty so much. Ni No Kuni spoiled me with how fun and interesting Mr. Drippy is, Lofty’s over here being fairly bland while meanwhile Drippy’s over here being over the top beyond the sun and being filled to bursting with personality, like, the game would be so much funnier if Lofty was more like Drippy or had a strong personality at all

Let’s start with our matriarch!

Her name is Aggie, and she’s an incredibly powerful witch who just wants to live out her days in her house in the woods with her 40+ dogs.  She’s a kind old woman, but she isn’t the easiest to get close to.  She’s distant and doesn’t really let a lot of people into her life.  For the past 20 years she’s been living on her own in the woods outside of Gravity Falls, practicing her magic in secret.  Anyone who DOES know her has only rumors to spread about her, and she never does a thing to stop it.  Everything changed for her when she took in her Granddaughter Olive following her parent’s divorce.

Her involvment in the story starts WAY back in 1960 something, Glass Shard Beach, New Jersey.

Aggie grew up alongside the Pines twins.  She was a precocious little thing, the daughter of a wealthy and rather antisocial and mean doctor.  She used to be very quiet and spoke only when spoken to, but after making some friends in the form of two twin boys, she came out of her shell.  She was particularily close with Stanley, as they had a similar way of doing things and similar interests.  

Aggie moved away from GSB when she was 13, and the move really shook her.  Not only was she in a small town in Roadkill Country, OR (GUESS WHERE :> ) but she was completely alone with her father, who she hated by this point.  The boys were her only friends, and after the move she began a sort of spiral of bad behavior until she was kicked out of school.  She was sent to a boarding school.  Post grad, she ,oved to New York City and tried out going to college while living with some of her mother’s old friends (Her Coven) and at this point she was learning magic.  At the age of 20 she had a baby who she named Robert.  Shortly after that, she left school and the coven behind and began a life of living out of a stolen van with her son.  They settled in Nevada, where the pair lived until he graduated high school.  After that she travelled and lived all over before she finally settled into the house left to her by her father.  That house is the house she lives in now, in the woods just outside of Gravity Falls.

By the time the events of the show, she and her granddaughter are having a grand old time in the woods.  Oh and I ship her with Stan with a feverish passion that is unmatched by any force in my life.

Her son Robert, or ‘Bobby’ as he’s better known, is Aggie’s only child.  He spent the first few years of his life on the road, but for the most part, he drew up in a Nevada trailer park.  Bobby was born with a congenital birth defect that caused complete blindness, but he’s never let it get in the way of his life.  As a boy he was incredibly gifted at the guitar, as well as being a very smart kid with top marks in school.  He always had a love for dinosaurs and digging in the ground for stuff.  He pretty much was covered in dirt his entire childhood.  He graduated valedictorian at his high school and went on to attend school in Texas for Archaeology and Paleontology.

After he got his masters in both, he immediately went on to get doctorates in both simultaneously.  It was during his doctoral studies at a school in Michigan, he met Rosemary O’Halloran, his future wife.  They were married shortly after they graduated, and within a year they were living in Egypt for Bobby’s work, and Rosemary was pregnant with their first (and only) child.  His little girl Olive was born in Cairo in Nov 99′. The little famly lived in Cairo for a few years before returning to the states for a lecture tour that ended up going on a lot longer then it should have.  

In 2012, Rosemary broke it to Bobby that she wanted a divorce.  He was blindsided.  Not wanting to get his daughter to get caught up in the mess, he sent her to live with his mom in Oregon.  He visits and skypes, and has plans to eventually move to Gravity Falls to be with his family.

Olive is Bobby’s son and Aggie’s granddaughter.  She can be described as a pest, an obessive little twerp, a  hot tempered little creep, and a weirdo.  She also can be described as a genuine delight.  Olive is excitable and active.  She doesn’t do well with other kids since she grew up with her very intelligent parents and no other company.  She grew up in a modified RV with her doctor mother and laid back dinosaur loving dad.

Olive is obsessed with aliens and space.  She is convinced that the truth is out there, and she will fight you if you disagree.  In fact, she’ll fight you for just about any reason.  She’s hot tempered and quick to throw a punch.  She’s tough as hell and she’s even braver.  She is the same age of the twins, and gets along pretty well with them.  she likes to push Stan’s buttons.

She doesnt like to come off as soft so she rarely cries but she’s got a lot of self doubt and anger bubbling under her surface.

Also, she is incredibly short and is often mistaken for a seven year old.

Now for some ~othrs~ involved in their tale...

This is Jane Foster.  She isn’t a character I work with as much now, but in her heyday she mattered  lot to me story.  She’s a ghost woman who lives in the GF cemetary.  she was murdered by a witch when she was in her late 20s.  Her family was one of the first families in Gravity Falls.  Her original motivation was mostly because I loved the idea of Ford having supernatural girlfriends and having a ghost GF who knew about the towns entire history was tantalizing.  Jane is very intelligent and quite educated, which is surprising given the time period she’s from.  IF she’d lived, she would have found a way to be a writer.  She loves stories and she loved listening to Stanford tell them.  Her relation to the story was Aggie toyed with the idea of bringing her back to life.

This lil cutie’s name is Steven.  He’s a Greek-born vampire who was abandoned in the woods as a toddler.  His parents his him but they never came back as they were slain by a vampire hunter.  Fast forward 7 years, and the little tyke was living in a cave eating mice and frogs.  After being found by Olive, he is take nin by Aggie.  He’s a soft spoken, shy boy who cries easily.  He has a slight stutter and drinks blood, but he’s an amazing little boy.  So kind and sweet.  Aggie always wanted to have more kids and Steven is like that last chance, you know?  He’s seven in 2012.
