Romance was not dead. 

You couldn’t quite reconcile that thought with how you had felt prior to that fateful night. Whilst you would never label yourself as a cynic, you also were not one to be easily swayed by the promise of hearts, chocolate and flowers. In reality, love was nothing like how it was portrayed in the old black and white movies of yesteryear. 

Then you met Nanami Kento. 

A chance meeting. A rainy afternoon. Dashing for the shelter of a bakery’s awning as the heavens pelted the streets mercilessly. Tripping and nearly landing on your face only to be saved by a strong arm. Was it that simple? 

He brushed off your embarrassment and stammered thanks with a subtle smile and held out his bright yellow umbrella in offer. 

“Oh, it matches your tie!” The words tripped off your tongue to your immediate mortification, skin heating despite the seasonal chill. 

In honesty, you weren’t sure how you ended up on a date with this dashing man, but fate had clearly decided to smile upon you.  

Kento was reserved but far from impolite. He preferred to listen whilst you answered his questions and you got a sense that he really drank in every word, even when you were certain that you were simply babbling.  

He was a gentleman in the true sense of the word; he held the door for you, offered you his arm when walking along the street, helped you in and out of his car, but there was also an evident respect. When he did speak it was passionately. His beliefs were a fundamental part of him and the more you discovered... the more you fell in love. 

Months later, after a wonderful home cooked meal with copious amounts of wine and shared laughter, you realised just how deeply you cared for him. Only the moonlight illuminated the bedroom, the world seemingly at rest whilst you were wide awake. You lay on your side and memorised his face, relaxed in sleep. 

There was no tightness around his eyes as there sometimes was in the day. No crease between his dark blond eyebrows. His lips were lax as soft puffs of air exhaled quietly. Maybe if you were more daring you would have reached out to trace the bridge of his nose and across the soft expanse of his bottom lip. Instead, you settled for capturing this moment in your memory. 

You loved him, and one day... you hoped he would love you in return. So, yes, whilst love and romance was not as it was portrayed in those old movies, it was still very real and alive today. Thanks to a rainstorm and a yellow umbrella.

Hal takes Danny on a little space trip🚀✨

Danny (floating next to Hal, arms behind his head): Whoa, its been a while since we had a space trip.

Hal: See? Told ya we need to go on one

Suddenly, a flash of red and blue light appears ahead of them

Danny (squinting at the approaching figure): Uh, Hal? Who’s the glowing, angsty dude heading right for us?

Hal (sighing): That would be Razer.

Danny: He always look that pissed off, or is this just my lucky day?

Razer floats closer, arms crossed, looking unimpressed

Razer: …

Danny (crossing his arms right back, matching the energy): …

Mutual glaring. Mutual sarcasm detected. Universe bracing for impact.

Hal (awkwardly gesturing between them): Uh… Danny, this is Razer. Razer, Danny.

Danny (grinning): So, what’s your deal? You look like you’re one bad day away from a full villain arc.

Razer (deadpan): Oh, wonderful. Another glowing annoyance in my life.

Danny: Hey, I take offense to that! I am a spectacular glowing annoyance.

Razer: I do not care.

Danny: That’s the spirit! Keep up that cold, brooding attitude, and maybe one day you’ll out-brood Batman.

Razer (squinting): Who?

Danny: Oh, we are gonna have words.

Hal (pinching the bridge of his nose): Please don’t encourage him.

Razer: Encourage me to what?

Danny: Brood harder, obviously. Maybe add some tragic monologues while staring dramatically into space. You got the whole ‘emo anti-hero’ vibe going strong.

Razer: I do not brood.

Danny: My guy, you are literally brooding right now.

Razer: I am simply thinking about how I have been cursed to deal with you.

Danny: See? That right there? Classic brooding.

Hal looks like he regrets all his life choices

Hal (muttering): I feel like I’ve made a mistake.

Kilowog, listening in over comms, cackling

Kilowog: Oh, definitely, but it’s gonna be hilarious.

Danny and Razer proceed to sass each other for the next hour while Hal just sighs into his glove, realizing the universe is not ready for this duo.

A/N: Enemies to lovers. Smut will be in part 2, spoiled reader. Sorry for the title I’m not feeling very creative rn lol. 

You hate Gojo Satoru with passion. 

It isn’t something cute like “I dislike him but he’s handsome” or something like “I hate him but I secretly like him” you hate him. You want to kill him. 

You attempted to pay someone to try to murder him. But he’s not the strongest for nothing. 

You hate him, a jerk with a savior complex. Just because he’s strong does that mean he has to save everyone? to you he just sounds like a pushover. 

You hate him, and the feeling is mutual. 

He’s 5 years older than you, you’re 20 and he’s 25. You two were engaged and you were naive of course, you heard he’s hot and strong-you would love to be engaged with him! but-

“I refuse” he said all high and mighty, and you asked him why-all that he said is “I wouldn’t want to get engaged with a spoiled kid” 

He sees you as someone spoiled, and worse-a kid. 

You get it, your grandpa lavish you in golds and riches-and people didn’t necessarily like you-but that was harsh of him. So since that day, you have disliked him. 

You met him sometimes because your grandpa is his higher-ups. You didn’t have any training or training anyone because you don’t have an ability. Your grandpa is set on making you marry someone. 

You don't care if you have any ability, you get treated like a princess everyday. So there’s nothing to worry about. You’re gonna have to marry someone rich and it would be your dream life. 

Today, you passed by Gojo again. You politely bow down even though he infuriates you. 

“You sent an assassin to my place again two days ago, didn’t you?” he asked you, and you didn’t like the smirk he had on his face. 

“So what? you’re gonna kill me?” you snarl as he chuckles. 

“I would love to, but your grandfather is gonna kill me, send me to hell and then go to hell to revive me only to kill me again” he shrugs. 

You smirk, proud of your grandfather. 

He can see that, he frowns at that. 

“Your grandpa” he paused “is not that good of a person” 

You frown “what do you mean?” you snarl, confused and enraged. He spoils you, he gives all his money to you. 

He shrugs “just…don’t trust him too much” with that he walks away. 

You frown, what did he mean by that?

As the day went by, you wonder what he meant by that. Does he say that to get on your nerves? or is it something else? you frown. 

You accompany your grandpa while he’s meeting Gojo. 

“I’m going on a mission today” Gojo mutters as he stares at you “wanna join me?” 

You’re going to say no, you hate him with passion. You send assassins his way too. Why would you want to join him? 

“Okay” you said, and Gojo, also your grandpa, seems surprised. Your grandpa looks angry more than anything. 

“I won’t-” 

“Please, grandpa” you pleaded him, and you never did. Because you never ask for anything when your grandpa already gives you what you wanted. 

He nods in resignation “just be safe” he mumbles as you nod

The walk there was quiet, so you opened your mouth “can’t you teleport or something?” you grumbled “we can go with taxi” 

He stares at you “did you know you have an ability?”

Pregnancy Fic & Sleep Intimacy Like I said, you've got to give me like 24 hours. Have part three of Let them Call it a Sin.

Annabeth was a genius. Percy had known she was smart and clever and wasted on his father, but he’d been shocked when, in the six months of her pregnancy, he found himself at his Thera Estate. His mother and Annabeth with him. 

She’d spun her web so well, King Poseidon hadn’t even known what he was looking for. She spoke of being wary of Triton and other’s at court who were cold to her. She spoke of a lack of maternal influences. She spoke of her joy at her new child, a perfect Prince for Poseidon. And her fear of not doing it right.

Percy had tried to play his part as well. Expressing a great deal of excitement about his new sibling, excitement not at all faned, and about how glad he was that Poseidon had provided him with the best mother in the world. 

And so King Poseidon had suggested that Percy take Queen Annabeth to his estate at Thera, and invite Lady Sally as well, so she might grow strong for the birth. 

The royal court would be arriving in about a months time, so that most of them could witness the birth of a new heir to the throne. But for now it was just Percy’s family, Percy’s people. 

And Annabeth. 

And their child.

He had been so overwhelmed when she’d told him. And still was. Overwhelmed with love, overwhelmed with joy, overwhelmed with fear. She was pregnant, and it was his child, could only be his child, though he knew the king would be properly confused based on the bed trick she had orchestrated. 

He was still overwhelmed about the growth of their treason. And with love for his queen and his child. 

But he was also so happy. It had been a dream here.

As was only proper, the Queen had been given the Lord of the manor’s bedroom. And technically speaking Percy had moved into a different room. 

But most nights he found himself in his own bed. Sharing it with the queen. 

Tonight was one such night. 

Nothing was like curling around Annabeth in his bed. Resting his chin over her shoulder and his hand on her growing belly. Sometimes he could feel the baby move, and Annabeth would whisper about his son, a strong and hearty prince!

“Are you still feeling alright?” 

“I am,” She promised, for perhaps the thousandth time this week. “Your mother assured me the pain in my back was normal.” 

His mother, whom Annabeth talked to ever single day, now. 

Lady Sally had been invited by special request of the king, to help the Queen prepare for all aspects of motherhood, as the only other living mother of one of the King’s children. She’d also taken one look at Percy and Annabeth when she’d arrived, and figured out what was going on. Though. She said it wasn’t really so obvious. Her husband the Baron Paul, for example, had no idea. And was just happy that the Queen showed no animus towards a woman who was still the most beloved of her husband’s mistresses, for it meant that little Lady Estelle would be able to come to court one day.

Annabeth had promised Percy that she would invite his little sister to be one of the child’s early playmates. And that when she was old enough, she would have a place as a companion, to a princess if there ever was one, or to the queen if needed. 

She was a little thing, Estelle, just in her six month. And Percy was overjoyed to spend extended time with her. His mother used her as an example, making sure both Percy and Annabeth knew how to hold and care for the child. 

“I am glad we have her help.”

“I am too,” Annabeth agreed, “I was thinking of trying to get her installed as the head of the baby's household, when he was still young. Do you think your father would allow it?”

Percy bit it lip. “Perhaps.” he said, eventually, “I do not know if the baby will be granted his own household,” He admitted, “He will still be the spare behind Triton,” His thoughts perked up, “though perhaps it will be a girl. That would be wonderful.”

“You cannot think so.” Annabeth said.

“She would not be in nearly as much danger from Triton,” Percy said, “And I think it would be fairly simple to ask that Mother be put in charge of the Princess. Though if she did not know the truth, I doubt Mother would agree.” 

“No? But it would put her in the center of court.”

“Oh yes, and my father’s attention. I believe he would agree to her being in charge of the princess’s education, but a large part of that would be having her around again.”

“Would he make her become his mistress again?”

“No, he wouldn't make her do anything,” Percy assured her. He’d had similar conversations with his mother before, they were very disheartening thoughts about his father. “He wants her love and her regard, and even he knows he cannot order those things from her. But I have no doubt that he would attempt to seduce her. But I fear my mother is in no danger of being seduced if she does not want to be.”

“I suspect, having known both father and son,” Annabeth said, a smile in her voice, though he could not see it, “your mother must be the one from whom you get your powers of seduction.”

He let out a long, slow breath, and did not ask clarification about what she meant by known. He would not be jealous of his own father, and his own wife. Percy was committing betrayals unknown and severe. And he had to respect, more than his father, Annabeth’s position. A wife had a duty, especially a queen to a king. He despised the position she was in, with every fiber of his being. But he did not ask.

He just planted a kiss on the back of her neck, and pressed his hand more firmly on her belly.

They were both still and quiet for a long while, and he wondered if she’d gone to sleep.

“What do you think we should name him?” Annabeth asked, voice so very quiet amidst the darkness. 

“I don’t think I get an opinion on that.”

“You're his father,” Annabeth reminded him, as though he needed the reminder. As though the thought did not haunt him, and bring him back to life at every moment. 

“You go first,” He said, she at least might be consulted. 

“If I had my way,” She sighed, voice even quieter than before, “I think I would name him after his father.”

Percy did not have a good response for that, so just said, “I like Alexandros. It seems fitting, Great. And it was my great grandfather’s name.” On his paternal side, he did not add, So perfectly reasonable for the king to like it. And so she could not respond in a way he had to think too deeply about it, he decided to distract again, “What about if it's a girl.” 

“I have always wanted to name my first daughter Sophia.” She said, “it means wisdom.”

“Oh,” Percy considered it. Felt the name in his mouth, “Princess Sophia. Sophia of Atlantis. I like it.” He said, “And wisdom, with a mother like you, it seems only fitting.”

“What would name her.” 

“I like Sophia.”

“Well, you stole it from me, so it doesn’t count. Come up with your own.”

“Annabeth,” he said.

“Yes?”

“That’s what I’d name her. Annabeth. Her Highness Princess Annabeth of Atlantis.” 

Princess Annabeth. Little sister of the Duke of Thera. It would not be so strange for him to dote and indulge her. He already dotted one baby sister.  And he could call her by her given name, and not honors and titles, except for in the most formal of situations. 

He would like to use the name Annabeth on a beloved blonde girl. To show his affections openly. 

It would be enough. It would be safe. It had to be enough. 

He fell asleep to a princess with blonde hair and green eyes. He loved her more than he could say. Would ever be able to say.
