one of the many reasons i like your blog is because its just silly and loght-hearted…not deep lime somw others…honestly,,, i sometimes try to stay away from drama and blogs like those. key word sometimes
I don't really have any enemies, so.. I mean, you'd think I would given my history and all, but i stopped that stuff. Don't really believe in violence unless it's necessary.
Killing people isn't my thing anyway. It was, but not anymore. Trying to keep that stuff far back, havin' a family and all. Gotta be a good wife and mom, ya know?
I don't want him to be surrounded with stuff like that. I wasn't the best person around him, I'll be honest — missing that little booger every day. Makes me want to go back sometimes.
But he can't come here. It's not safe for him.

Tam O 'Shanter By Robert Burns
When chapman billies leave the street, And drouthy neebors neebors meet, As market-days are wearing late, And folk begin to tak the gate; While we sit bousin, at the nappy, And gettin fou and unco happy, We think na on the lang Scots miles, The mosses, waters, slaps, and stiles, That lie between us and our hame, Whare sits our sulky, sullen dame, Gathering her brows like gathering storm, Nursing her wrath to keep it warm. This truth fand honest Tam o' Shanter, As he frae Ayr ae night did canter: (Auld Ayr, wham ne'er a town surpasses, For honest men and bonie lasses.) O Tam! had'st thou but been sae wise As taen thy ain wife Kate's advice! a very important custom in the fleet is the use of ritual body paint, usually neon colors that glow brither in darkness but are still pretty noticable regardless, even shining through leathers and fabric.

These specific designs vary by a number of factors. The most important is intent; there are different design aesthetics used for war, peace times, diplomatic action, and other mindsets. Usually more aggressive/bold designs indicate wartime paints. This in turn leads to the second factor: each clan has their own specific style, colors and paint designs, and are shared with root-clans they may have common origins with. (For example, clans formed by Rose Quartz and her original core Crystal Gem team tend to have common designs based on Gem heiroglyphics, though Rose Quartz’s looping curlices vary greatly from Amethyst’s more wild designs.) Body paintjobs can, therefore, be a way to indicate a clan’s philosophical lineage and give outsiders an insight into the principles that guide and direct them!
The markings can vary greatly, in both design and visual effects. For instance, while neon colors and glowing effects are almost universal, some clans may opt for visual effects that call to mind other members of the clan or its legendary founders. Many clans led by Gem matriarchs employ a sparkling effect on their body paints so that non-Gems still have a shimmering effect similar to that of the light-based bodies of true Gems. These tastes can be HUGELY diverse, covering only a small part of the body or completely cover a person up; when the Fleet mobilizes its clans in large numbers, its forces can look so utterly different from one another that it is impossible for an outsider to be sure that this teeming horde is actually one united group!
Wearing special markings (especially of the face) are common for more religious members, and special holidays and personal events have their own ritual face paints.
Actually putting on the paint is a ritualized thing; several others are required to administer the paints, and so you have to trust them to get it right, and not make you look ridiculous. (By Fleet standards.) It works on a similar fashion to the paintjobs of their vehicles. Note that the paint’s exact composition is something of a Fleet secret, and specific to each clan: some clans make them out of plants and animal parts native to their homeworlds, while others make them out of their own milk or the physical products of powers common to their clans. Any of these might have secondary effects: a clan famous for its oil-themed powers might have powers related to such abilities as well as the sheen of their markings, while those who wear markings made of ground dragon bones tend to mutate into draconic forms in subtle, mild ways while they wear the paints.
Heavy painting of the breasts, hips, backside and thighs are extremely common in the Fleet for its more curvaceous women. This is even moreso for those who do not practice heavy tattooing in these areas! Those who are pregnant tend to also have their bellies equally marked up, usually with murals that identify the fathers of their children, or the original identities of those whom are being reborn inside them, and the prey consumed to make their offspring stronger.
These paints are also very difficult to wash off, requiring special waters proprietary to each clan in order to remove them. The paints stay until damaged or deliberately removed, and so changing them is actually a fairly big deal.
