Another growing up in the south inspired post because i feel lost now that im not still driving on those backroads eating cold ham and cheese sandwiches with dirt under my nails and getting up at dawn to fish in freezing rivers and going on walks in the woods with my dogs and reading listening to the cicadas and feeling the blazing sun during summers and dreading the return to the city where it’s humid and the concrete cooks your skin and all the grass is dead
