Day four of drawing characters in outfits I own: Akechi Touma

Obligatory story (since it's Akechi), this one is not only an outfit I own, but a situation I was in! The reference I used for the pose and everything was a photo of me at a party. I can't for the life of me explain why, but after a few drinks I became obsessed with trying to fit myself into the tumble-drier. I kept thinking of the vine where the guy clambers into a washing machine saying "I dedicate my entire life to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and THIS is the thanks I get!?" I couldn't get more than my ass in though.

I got the colour of the trousers a bit wrong in the last drawing, they're supposed to be more purple/plum coloured.

Since Akechi is my bestest blorbo I gave him some of my favourite clothes. He gets my second most fancy shirt (the fanciest can't be worn with a bowtie), my purple calottes (they're corduroy, I think he would appreciate the texture), my favourite shoes (they're regency style!) and, of course, a very nice velvet bowtie (he guards them all day so of course he deserves to borrow one).

Let’s see, I was watching Firefly recently and remembered that there’s an episode where they inject something directly into a guy’s chest. I think they were injecting adrenaline into a guy’s heart.

Fun fact. NOBODY DOES THAT. An IV works just fine, it will get to your heart very quickly, immediately even, and we are not in the habit of stabbing people in the chest to inject things into their hearts.

Reason you will see someone put a needle directly into the heart: draining fluid from around the heart.

All right, if you really do want me to be perfectly honest…

He’s excellent. 10/10 nurse. He cares about his patients, he’s intelligent and experienced, and he’s quick on his feet. He’s not always the best team player, mainly in the sense that he will argue and back talk if he doesn’t agree with what you’re doing as charge nurse, but he’ll step up to help, always. Sometimes a little too much, I gotta reel the guy in once in a while.

But it is so easy to get him wound up and I really enjoy that. Like today I brought in one of his favorite pens that I bought off Ravio. His face was almost as red as his scrubs, I loved it.

Don’t tell him I said any of this, though. It’s way more fun if he doesn’t know I think he’s one of the best nurses I’ve ever met.
