A Blackling is a shard of Black (my Narrator) that's been cut off (either by accident or on purpose.)

That piece of golden shard then starts to reform and become a smaller version of Black. It has a cute look instead of being a direct copy of Black.

The Blackling existed because of a trend that happened in a discord server I was in where I drew my Narrator as a small and pathetic little thing.

This resulted in me eventually making the Blackling part of my canon universe! I think he's very very cute.

【A little bit of info for the Blacklings】

It can't speak, nor can it make any vocal sounds! (Unless you count the little tinkling sound whenever it walks)

It's main purpose is to find the main body (Black) and reform with him

Its size can vary depending on how big the shattered shard is, but these ones are usually only palm sized. Anything smaller do not reform and stay as shards, usually eaten and absorbed by the Blacklings.

It can feel emotions, but it's very instinctive without rational thought behind it. There is absolutely no thinking going on behind those big ol' eyes, the only thing it wants to do is "come back to Black and become whole again."
