Food of the day: Raising Canes

Todd Graves, who is the founder and CEO of raising canes, first came up with raising canes while he was in college. Rejected by both his professors and bank teller, but that did not stop graves. He opened his first restaurant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on August 28th, 1996. Graves owned a yellow Labrador Retriever whose name is Raising Canes, which is what the restaurant is named after. Over the year, Graves grew his business to over 750 locations located around the United States and internationally. Raising canes took over Hawai’i with 9 locations in Hawaii. Located on south King Street and University Avenue was the first raising canes, hitting a great spot with 4 to 6 private schools including two colleges/universities, raising canes being in a crucial spot with a popular crowd frequently.

The Box Combo comes with 4 chicken strips with crispy flakes in each bite. Fries seasoned and fried to a perfect golden color. The raising cane sauce is perfect with your fries and tenders. The Texas toast is perfectly toasted all over. This comes with Coleslaw, but instead you can get extra sauce, toast, or fries. The sweet tea is delicious. All my food came out nice and warm. You are able to order online, and once you get in the store, your food will be ready and warm. The box combo came to a total of $12.79, which is reasonable for any college or high school student. The workers were sweet and fast.

On busy days, raising canes is the place to go. Food warm and ready in minutes. Customer service is great.

For the Liko/Dot poll, I think you might want to alter the structure so that it ends in 1v1. The way I see it, Pokémon fans are split between ones that like shipping suffixes and the ones that don’t. The current proposal for the poll gives an unfair advantage to those that don’t, as the ones that do will be split between all the other ship names, while the ones that don’t will be able to all vote for one option.

Hey, thanks for bringing this up! I did some more looking into names, and found DotLiko is also a name used, so adding that to the poll will even things out, as no other names have been suggested!

while looking, i found that nidothingshipping and superfanshipping were popular names as well, though they seem a bit like variations on the already propsed gurumin and biggestfan names, so to give them fighting chances, i've combined them.

I also wanna being up this comment, from @wallflower-koharu !

I think this another thing we should poll for! Majority vote ! So, I think I'll end up holding a couple polls, actually!

1st: "What Name Should Fans of Liko/Dot Primarily Use to Tag the Pair?"

that's tomorrows poll, the options should be - LikoDot - DotLiko - Gurumin/NidothingShipping - BiggestFan/SuperFanShipping - None of These (See Tags!)

Now if "none of these" has more than 10% of the votes into other names, then I'll probably just review them and hold a new poll bcs that's a pretty significant margin, even if no one has the same thing in the tags.

In the event that a __Shipping Name Wins: A second poll is held, "Should we Also Use a Two-Names-Together Name?" With options - Yes, It should be LikoDot - Yes, It should be DotLiko - No - Other?

In the event that a names together name wins A second poll is held, "Should we also use a ___Shipping Name?" Options - Yes, Gurumin/NidothingShipping - Yes, BiggestFan/SuperFanShipping - No - Other?

And if any option one of the ___Shipping names wins, a follow up "Is it Gurumin or Nidothing?" poll (or biggest v super) will be held!

All polls will last a week. It should take 2-3 rounds to determine, which isn't too bad actually!

I think this covers all possible options! If there's any flaws, please let me know!

oh, and while i don't love shilling, when the polls do happen, please spread em to anyone you think would have an opinion! thew whole point is to get a consensus on a name, not just,,, decide for people. lets do it together! and of course, i want to say This is a poll for fun.

I decided to do this, because I saw confusion, and people suggesting names and other names (including me!!), and wanted to find a way to help us agree on one together! Im not trying to force people to use any one name, so please don't feel pressured to! I just hope to help everyone come to an understanding of what the most popular idea is for how we should tag these girls!
