#BIG lore and persomality changes recently

I used new watercolour markers for this piece from officeworks. Born's 50 pack of dual tip markers and the professional portrait 6 pack.

Theyre also really handy to add colour to my quicker sketches. It really brings them to life.

I'm thinking about the many reasons why I lost interest in my webcomic, and why the blog has thrived so much. I'm going through and changing each of these things for Mechanical Fury.

I was forcing myself to use crazy shading and format I wasn't comfortable with.

Had no formal refs of the characters

Too many characters

I didnt know how to draw action yet

A big inspo of mine I recently realized was not a great persom

The story wasn't even fully fleshed out, at least not to the standards I hold myself to now.

Setting wasn't fleshed out

So much.

So now I will be making a bunch of changes. First being cast culling.

Current cast is:

Rose and Lilac.

Vivian

Priscilla and Jake

Cavet, Liu, and Penny (pen is subject to last name change, Anderson ain't fun enough)

Chloride.

Maybe Silvia?? If shes there She's gonna have a small role.

All other previous cast members are subject to cameos and all the gods are still part of the lore but I'm keeping it small.

I'm going back to the roots and making the main character Rose. She was my first and will always have a special spot in my mind. Priscilla was chosen as second main character because I thought it would appeal to a wider audience. Now I see what's more important.

Jake's design may get a MAJOR overhaul.

Rose and lilac have already been going through some redesigns, and will remain in similar forms.

Vivian is still going to have her color scheme and 3-4 arms layout, but is no longer constructed by Rose. Just a younger robot that Rose will go "I must protect" to.

The humans will be reworked to be more fun to draw and to reflect my improved skills in drawing.

Priscilla is fine until further notice.

Having Cavet be an active member of the cast will allow for more connection with the audience and other characters, and may even become a sympathetic villain. Plus it's an excuse to do more Cav stuff. Liu is with him because they cannot be separated.

Plot baseline is there, and there is a lot of story beats I want to revisit. May make a timeline soon. Dont know, trying to make it more simple. Everything is subject to change.

Also there is going to be a LOT more monkey team references this time around.
