Just saw the movie Best Sellers.

And what a funny, heartbreaking and magnificent movie it was. I can’t believe that it has take me such a long time to see it. Seriously a movie that should be at every person to-see list

What do you MEAN my book is on TWO DIFFERENT BEST SELLER LISTS?!?!

Number 1 on Amazon???!?!?!?

Number 17 on Apple books?!?!

I know the first book is free, but even so, having enough people interested in my work to make it number 1 on Amazon in it's category is insane. There are so many other books by other authors, and yet somehow, mine is number 1.

This year has sucked so much but y'all have literally made it so much better.

Possibly unpopular opinion

I don’t like the best sellers list

Everytime I’m reading a summery of a book and it gives me all the accomplishments of the author and how they were on the best sellers list I ignore it.

Getting on that list doesn’t tell me your book is worth reading

That list doesn’t tell me you’re a good writer

All it does is that you book got bought a lot.

Don’t get me wrong it’s a huge accomplishment for authors to get on the best sellers list specially if they’re indie.

But everyone seems to be on the best sellers list. It doesn’t tell me much about the authors works. there have been so many trash books in the past that have been on the best sellers list.

People treat that if a book is on the best sellers list it’s a good book which isn’t true.

It’s a list of sales not a list of greatness.

Blockbuster best-sellers rarely impress me. I recently tackled ‘The Godfather’ and found it long-winded, info-dumpy, and full of ‘telling,’ with characters who are more like caricatures.

Puzo was primarily a screenwriter, not a novelist, so I understand that he was just getting the story out, without a great deal of thought as to style. ‘The Godfather’ really works better as a movie. As a novel, it was a ‘did-not-finish.’

Maybe I’ll read a little Evelyn Waugh now to clear my palette and remind myself what good writing is like.

Designed/drew graphics & banner art for one of my best sellers, Ambered Tobacco Leaf, for the June 2024 release for Prismatic Skies.

I’m pretty happy about it. I can’t remember the last time I drew anything botanical but it was fun!

The site is in maintenance mode and will be back online June 1, 2024 for the new releases that I am making.

I’m very excited about these new blends that I have created!

And I’m always super happy to bring this blend back. Not only is it one of my best sellers, but it’s also one of my personal favorites.

I get a lot of customers DMing, emailing, and texting me to make them custom loaves of this blend and I always get super excited because I tend to make an art project out of it, haha!

I’ll have to find one of the loaves that I made for one of my regular customers, because I totally went ham on it!
