How hav u been a k-pop stan for 11+ years ??๐Ÿ˜ญ
Like i get in and out of it,at some point start hating my most loved songs and groups
i've had my little breaks too ๐Ÿ˜ญ honestly stan culture wasn't really a thing back in those days (boomer alert) and it was pretty casual and friendly, i'm ngl. there was not much pressure to stream, no strict rules that made you a 'true kpop stan' and just... fun. it's no secret how toxic it has gotten now. basically it wasn't that serious back in those days and i miss that ๐Ÿ˜ญ
my secret is that i'm a very casual stan, i don't listen to music everyday, i'm not actively following more than five groups at a time (a stretch honestly) tho i do watch content of all the groups i follow from time to time (once a month for me barely). the only thing i keep up with is music i guess. oh, and i avoid twitter ๐Ÿ˜ƒ and i don't really follow kpop groups on social media anymore.
i had my breaks too and i think i'll always listen to kpop whether i 'stan' them or not. besides... 4th gen marks the end of stanning groups for me. i was made for 2nd and 3rd gen and i've made my peace with it (most of the groups i love are inactive/disbanded)
also might be related but where i live no one knew what kpop was until like when bts became international? around like 2018? and there was no such thing as merch here? no kpop concerts happen here so it's very peaceful LOL being a kpop stan is rare here bruh proud owner of 0 kpop merch despite being an 11 year old stan ๐Ÿ’€ (my cousin has the bts be album if that counts)
