I'm working on compiling a playlist of folktronica-ish music from the Iberian peninsula and I am here to ask for recommendations, especially for stuff from Andalusia/the south in general, the Basque Country, and Portugal if anyone knows anything (but really anything is welcome, either songs or artists)

Veña, vai, o de poñer a lista aleatoria que me nominou @zorrxchicle​. Foime complicado porque non uso spotify nin nada unificado para escoitar música (unha mistura entre listas de reprodución en youtube, a miña biblioteca persoal virtual e mais o pendrive de música do coche haha) pero anotei as 10 últimas cancións que escoitei e saíu isto. (Musical anon) Oh, Amarante is actually brazilian! But northern Spain gets plenty of snow and has melancholic songs about it, don't you worry. All of the Cantabrian coast has shit weather and is culturaly Celtic, kind of like Ireland/Scotland (though probably a bit sunnier). I recommend La Tormenta by Lorena Álvarez y El Coro de Ladinamo and, for a more Celtic vibe, Embruxo and Veleno by Baiuca.

As for the other ask, it was the carnival one so we're good!

LAKSJDFJLAS i CANNOT tell the difference between portuguese and spanish i am so sorry lmao. spain truly isn't that far away from the uk and it's still on the atlantic so it's not really that surprising that the northern parts are similar to scotland (i watched the mv for veleno and the landscape is almost identical to some of the more southern parts). it's really interesting to see where there's been cultural crossover!

yes - you may need to create something for yourself or change something (like an approach to an endeavour or anything, be more practical and less guided by emotions). Remember to not settle for things that aren't for you, "reach further"
