Foreword

Building automation (BAS), also known as building management system (BMS) or building energy management system (BEMS), is the automatic centralized control of a building's HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), electrical, lighting, shading, access control, security systems, and other interrelated systems. Some objectives of building automation are improved occupant comfort, efficient operation of building systems, reduction in energy consumption, reduced operating and maintaining costs and increased security.

What is BACnet Protocols?

BACnet/IP was proposed in response to the diversity of building equipment. It is a unified communication protocol for BAS signal transmission and data communication. The device interface communication protocols of each BAS subsystem (power transformation and distribution, lighting, elevator, air conditioning, heating, etc.) are inconsistent and support Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, etc. respectively. BLIIoT Modbus to BACnet/IP gateway BA100 can connect Modbus protocol devices to the BACne/IP network, enabling the main control system to collect and monitor data from various serial and network port devices on site.

In addition, BLIIoT Modbus to BACnet/IP gateway BA100 plays a bridge role in the entire building system, meeting the needs of on-site Modbus RTU to BACnet/IP and Modbus TCP to BACnet/IP.

Applications

In this monitoring system, the monitoring data of the entire building's power transformation and distribution, lighting, elevators, air conditioning, heating, water supply and drainage, fire protection, security and other equipment are centrally transmitted to the central control system. The main purpose is to achieve energy-saving control. and user-friendly controls.

Dear British Airways, Our band, Big Joanie, are descendants of Caribbean and African migrants, our community has been scarred by the stories of people in our community forcibly removed and deported for nothing more than an error by the Home Office. In your 100th anniversary advert one of the many reasons you declare your “love” for Britain is that it has a ”big heart”, but one has to wonder who that extends to when British Airways allows the UK government to use commercial flights to forcibly deport migrants. How “big” can your heart be when it allows people to suffer the dehumanising and traumatising experience of forced deportation? What does it say about your “British values” when you allow others to be violently taken from their homes, shackled to your passenger seats and then dumped in a place where, in the case of LGBTQ+ migrants, their lives may be in danger. When others such as Virgin, American, South West, Frontier and United Airlines now refuse to participate in this cruel practice, to profit from this kind of trauma is not only immoral, but also in direct opposition to everything that you say you stand for. BLIIoT Modbus to BACnet gateway BA100 allows Modbus slave devices to communicate on a BACnet network. The gateway works as a translator between the two networks allowing both Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP signals show up as individual BACnet objects on any BACnet/IP or BACnet MS/TP network. This enables central control and supervision of Modbus devices from a BACnet BMS in a building.
