“The 75-year-old Mahanta was present on stage on 5 August at the Bhoomipujan ceremony of Nritya Ram Mandir. He did not cover his face with a mask. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat came in contact with Mahant. PM Modi held the hand of dancing Gopal Das with reverence. So will our PMs also be cautious, "Editorial in Samna questioned?
“Currently, Amit Shah is also in solitude after contracting for the transition. Even former President Pranab Mukherjee has been tested positive for the virus and his health is in a critical state. Currently, all cabinet members, bureaucrats, Members of Parliament are vulnerable to fatal infections. Even during the riots and the war, Delhi was not as frightened as it is today. The city is now a little more afraid. Although the fear of PM Modi and Shah was already calm, the fear of coronovirus is frightening. "
On 5 August, Nritya Gopal Das was part of the Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan in Ayodhya and shared the stage with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and a few others.
This historic event was attended by 175 guests, who were invited by the trust headed by Nitya Gopal Das.
Apart from heavy security arrangements, the Kovid-19 protocol and social removal norms were followed by the attendees at the village event.
Due to the outbreak of coronovirus, no Chief Minister was invited for the ground ceremony except Yogi Adityanath.
Notably, Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik had sought an invitation for Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, stating that the late Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray was at the forefront of the thrust and wanted to build the Ram temple.
Sarnaik had also said that Uddhav repeatedly led the demand for Ram temple and therefore he should be invited for 'Bhoomi Pujan'.
