Overall depends.

Initially, Buggy is very nervous, nearly panicking. Planes are lowkey terrifying and I think he's the type to be like "if I study this and understand the components, I'll feel better", only he stumbles across all the aviation horror stories and simply Perishes.

On that note however, he's also pretty quick to calm with the right help - contact, assurance, distraction - it can be stim toys or an arm around his shoulder or a project to work on. He really enjoys math and balancing his equations and outlining experiments for certain chemicals or explosives. He's initially the most nervous, but does wind up really calm.

Unexpectedly, the longer the flight is, the more Mihawk gets nervous. He isn't a fan of relying on others, and he heard all of Buggy's panicked rambles about how things go wrong. The longer they're in the air, the tighter he's gripping the armrests and the tighter he's clenching his jaw. Doesn't even want wine.

He can be distracted, though, and Crocodile and Buggy both are very talented at getting him out if his own head - bonus points, if Croc can get Buggy INVESTED in an experiment idea, he'll infodump and that keeps Mihawk's attention because they had Autism To Autism Communication.

Crocodile quite literally doesn't care At All. Worst case scenario, plane crashes and he uses his abilities to get him and his out safe. And if there's water that crash into, then he's got one of those fancy little raft thingies. They'll be fine. He's just on Keep Partners Chill duty.

dragon aizawa!

i have an au to go along with this that i will (probably) post at a later date once i flesh it out a bit more, until then have a 'zawa dragon I made in Flight Rising!

body: guardian, plague multi-gaze, obsidian jaguar/obsidian noxtide/dust contour

clothing: white aviator scarf, black renaissance shirt, black breeches, obsidian leg enhancement (back), black linen wing wraps, black linen leg wraps, veteran's eye scar

more information on my choices and dragon stuff ill put under the cut if y'all are curious

for those of you who don't play flight rising, guardian dragons are absolutely massive, averaging 14-16 meters (46-52 feet) in length from head to tail. wingspan averages around 16-18m (52-59ft) from wingtip to wingtip, and with a staggering average weight between 9,000-10,000 kilograms (20,000-22,000 pounds).

I chose the guardian breed specifically for aizawa shouta because of their lore in-game. guardian dragons, as their name suggests, are guardians by nature. As they age, they instinctually embark on a quest called The Search, to find the thing(s), place, or person(s) they are meant to protect. A guardian dragon without a charge (their chosen/destined protectee) is not considered to be a full dragon yet; a guardian who fails to protect their charge will often choose to waste away and die in shame because losing a charge is a massive blight on their honor. i imagine that his class counts as his charges, as we see in canon he will give all he can give in an attempt to keep his students safe.

multi-gaze as an eye choice was something i was tossing around in my brain for a bit. i chose the plague element specifically for the saturated red eye color, though if i was going with the manga interpretation of his eye color i likely wouldve selected the light element instead. though the in-game art style doesnt do my mental image justice, i had the idea of his extra eyes being in the center of his larger rosettes on his body, being hidden into the pattern when the eyes are closed.

the contour gene was something i was also toying with a bit, i actually have a personal grudge against this gene in particular, but with the grey color it works well with aizawa, representing his capture weapon well. I actually have a scry of shinsou hitoshi as a dragon and he has the same dust contour gene for the same reason. the light grey also breaks up the dark colors of his body, adding a nice contrast. The 'obsidian' coloring on his primary and secondary gene works really well too, because its darker and cooler toned than the 'black' color, and in the case of his wings it has a red secondary coloring that perfectly matches the plague eye color.

the leg enhancement and scar should be kind of obvious if you're caught up on his injuries in canon. i specifically chose the obsidian color for the enhancement, because his prosthetic is also a light silvery grey type of color, and the black interior works well with his color scheme (compared to the cinnabar color, with the same exterior color but a glowing red interior). the black interior does not emit any light, which i think works better for him personality wise.

anyone who knows flight rising may notice that i chose the female 'pose' as compared to the male, and i did this for a few reasons.

the female 'pose' stands tall, with the head and tail lifted up and legs mostly straightened out, whereas the male 'pose' is crouched low to the ground, with the head close to the floor, body hunched in on itself, and tail curled around the body. for aizawa specifically, i like the 'tall and proud' vibe more

i hate the beard the males have, i dont know why but i just hate it so much

the male head is turned the opposite way as the female, so the veteran's eye scar would be on the wrong eye

I don't mind flying, but I can guarantee any flight sitting next to our aviation expert Mr. Morales is going to be a lot smoother. This is such a fun read and I really hope we see him again in a possible continuation of this.

Saying I love you through an accidental kiss (Joel Miller) Pre-Outbreak by @songsformonkeys This one reappeared on my dash this week and it's always worth a re-read and always one I'll recommend. It's Joel at his most hectic, which is very much how I picture pre-outbreak Joel and just the build-up here and the kiss is such a toe-curling delight to read, that I squeal each time even though I know it's coming.

Strawberries (Joel Miller) by @softlyspector This is set after Clouds, but doesn't have to be read first before this one. This explores Ellie and Joel's relationship after the events of TLOU and delves into TLOU2 territory (no spoilers in either one-shot). As much as I love the idea of Ellie and Joel living happily ever after in Jackson - I do enjoy an angsty dive into their relationship as it is in the TLOU2 games. This and Clouds are excellent takes on this!

Hungry Hearts | Epilogue + Bonus I Wanna Mary You (Joel Miller) by @atinylittlepain How my heart wasn't ready for this to end - but Gin gave Jerry the send-off they deserved and not only that, we were treated to a bonus second part to the epilogue that I'm still raving about! I saw you reblog the post "send an OC and you tell me which of your OCs would fall in love with them" and had a moment of oh no, how many non-furry/dragon characters do I have. So I'm throwing you a variety!! We're gonna have to put aside the fact that two out of the three here are furry characters. I'm genuinely severely lacking in human people, despite how much I talk about them. (Is this a game show where only the winner out of all of them gets a date, or are they all getting paired off? I gotta throw you a character I haven't mentioned before much. Silver Bullet Babe, or just Silver for short, spends a large majority of his time studying magic. Coming from a well off family who encouraged his focus on his studies and seclusion from others, his social skills are lacking at best. On the plus side, though, being with him comes with the added bonus of a very extensive library filled with otherwise forbidden knowledge. He's also very pink with lovely hair.

You already know this one. His info post isn't up yet, so his exact details might be blurry, but let me introduce you to the danger to aviation laws himself, Hazard! I don't. I don't have his picture on my laptop, so you're gonna just have to imagine a tall Canadian with the most mid fohawk ever who talks with an accent that is an affront to the concept of language itself. He's a great guy, I promise. Asides from how much danger he puts himself in for his own entertainment, he's a great guy.

I know for a fact she has an anthro design around somewhere, but evidently not here. I don't even have her regular design on this laptop, so we gotta just imagine an orange skywing woman together. What does she have to offer? She's fearless with the strength to back that up. She's punched both Sandwing and Skywing soldiers on two separate occasions. Her boss is, unfortunately for her, also her best friend, so they're a two for one deal, so you'll also be gaining a really weird uncle as well.

For Silver, I could see him getting together with Kestrel. They're also super inquisitive and work with magic frequently, so I could definitely see them bonding over that initially. And like... Kestrel's social skills aren't fantastic either, being a changeling who's been told effectively their whole life that the only thing they're good at is causing havoc and distress, so I think those early interactions might be a little awkward. But after that, y'know, it all would work out great!

I think Quinn would probably fall for Hazard in like.... a weird way. Like the "buddy you're just really fucking Odd. I kinda want to punch you in the face but I also kinda want to kiss you and we'll figure out the logistics of that later" kind of way. She's absolutely a daredevil too and would initially be drawn to that thrillseeking side of him, always trying to one-up him until it becomes a weird sort of game, and then that game becomes a weird sort of flirting... they'd be the weirdest, most hazardous (pun not intended) power couple on the planet, but that's my answer.

Doe definitely strikes me as Eris' type - someone who can fire right back to whatever little battles they want to throw at her, who isn't going to flinch, who's good and strong and driven to keep pace. You've heard of people getting along like a house on fire? These two would get along like nuclear fission. This might be The Most Dangerous relationship I have ever come up with, maybe not to the two of them but definitely to everyone else in the immediate vicinity.

Well…Heh…I am one of those people who say they like everything and then hate on a bunch of stuff. AHSBHAV no that’s a joke, but it would be easier to say what I don’t like rather than what I do like. I don’t like the specific genre of pop that is Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, and most just popular pop songs, I guess? Like I DO like pop but not that kind of pop. I also have a thing that I need my music to be at least a little loud and energetic because most calm music (like lo-fi) stresses me out (don’t question me.). But I’d say my most listened to genres are metal, rock, hyperpop and electronic (in that order).

I have a really hard time PICKING OUT things for this reason but I’ll give you a screenshot of my most recent added songs to my playlist because those are usually my recent favourites. 2 sec hold on.

If I’d have to say anything, I AM IN LOVE with Jay Ray’s stuff. High recommend. I think Jay Ray is big in the tf community though so UAGEUA. If I had to mention like one thing I have that I actually think may not be listened to by many it’s BREAK by Jimmy Here. I wish that song was longer because that scream it has in the end is BANGER. The problem is that I’m a song listener. Not an album listener, not an artist/band listener. I find a singular song I like, add it to my playlist, and move on. AHBSHA My friends hate me for it. And for that reason I also have no physical music. Only a bit of band merch from my absolute faves (Slipknot and mother mother hehe)

And now I must admit…an EMBARRASSINGLY big portion of the songs on my playlist comes from the Bumblebee movie (and it’s not transformers media, but some of the songs on the screenshot are from THE FUCKING FALLOUT SERIES (it was banger)). AUEHUA They aren’t originals so I’m not gonna count it as much BUT THE SONGS FROM G1…OH BOY YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG. Those are mf BANGERS. We need to go back to rock songs in animated kids movies. I have “The touch” on my goddamn playlist and no I’m not ashamed about it. I also have jort storm by Slimecicle because I’m a gunky goober who wears jorts.

If this turns out well, this could be huge. Now, I have no idea if what this specific company is doing is unique or a hundred other companies are trying, or have tried, to employ this same method, so feel free to add information that you feel is important to know in regards to all this.

But this is important. Ireland puts out the most plastic waste out of any European country. If this is able to get off the ground and see widespread use, it could change the game on plastic waste. And as a bonus, we get sustainable fuel out of it!

i can!!! full disclosure i am very bad at screencaps (i WANT to get better i'm just lazy + impatient....) so i actually don't have a ton of good ones -- normally i just am kind of. spamming rough caps without even hiding the UI just to use as drawing reference. BUT, let's see what i do have!
