She was warned. She was called UNqualified. Nevertheless, she persisted.
YES friends it’s time for another Dee’s Reviews! As I’ve said before, I undoubtedly have no business writing these given the sorry state of my own creative expression, but hey, I always say, if you can’t do, critique!
Also keep in mind I don’t read the real judges critiques so if I’m repeating or repeating or contradicting, well, so be it. Let’s get down to brass tacks, shall we?
Analyse Thropic: First of all AAAAAAHHHH!!!! THIS IS SO GOOD UUUGH! If I saw this thing walking up to me in the club I’d be scared but I’d give it a dollar for SURE. You obviously know you have to take this look out and do “Girl On Fire.” It’s stun, the makeup is everything (your non-burn side looks better than ever!) those nails!!! I have a couple small critiques- I would have liked to see a better shape, I.E. a tighter waist on the dress (it looks like you did corset, but that doesn’t mean anything if the dress doesn’t fit to it) and some hips and nips (bigger boobs would have given it a “bombshell” factor.) Also the dress length is a little weird, I would have gone shorter. But overall I fucking liiive.
TOOT
Avanna Noir: I like what you’re going for here, and it isn’t UN cute, but it isn’t stun either. The paint swatches have a very DIY feell, and I wish the fascinator was at more of a jaunty angle instead of plastered to the side of your head. I love your makeup, and the titties look right. I still gotta suggest gloves or nails. Not a train wreck, but it is a
BOOT
Daddie Dearest: Hellooooo Daddie! You’re giving me one of the most complete, head to toe realizations in the competition. All the elements are here- hair, titties, paint, a dress that hits the floor, LEG. I love the UV effect as well. The only thing I would say is the paper aspect does look a bit homemade, but hey, you had less than a week to make it AT HOME so that’s understandable. A complete
TOOT
Dotte Com: You look so CUUUUTE this week! I love your lil face. Your expressions are adorable. The makeup is a biiiiit chalky, try to smooth it out a some (i know, I’m one to talk.) Honestly, you executed this look really well. It’s simple, clean an effective. Love the hair, love the flowers and the suit. The only thing that’s missing is some bangin’ hips! If you had hips on, I’d be gagged to death. Go rob a couch! But anyway, it’s a
TOOT
Ebony Boss: I’ll say this- your paint is getting better and better. Absolutely keep it up. However, the look is... boring. The white is cute (if simple) but the black is giving me forever 21. I think if you look at what Dotte has done, she had a simple look as well but she added those extra touches to push it into a look. Also glovesornails.
BOOT
Giraffez Doris Buckel: Honestly, I’m really proud of this. You are truly getting better and better. I love your expressions, and you have absolutely given us a fully realized bride fantasy here. However, several aspects could be improved- I would have loved to see a big, full, blown out southern belle beauty shop wig on this. And your makeup remains a bit below the other girls, though the runny mascara is a great touch. I really like it, but to be fair to the other girls I have to give it a
BOOT
Judah Kiss: You had a complicated and strange concept, and honestly you gave it. There’s a lot going on here, allllmost to the point where I get overwhelmed, but it looks clean and professional. And honestly those pants are soooooo sickening. I live. A total
TOOT
Klinker: Klinky! I... honestly kind of live? It’s very unpolished, but there’s just something about you that I find really charming. Giving me adore delano x-factor vibes. I could have used titties and hips on this (although it works OK without) and your makeup is cool but obviously messy (though I love the lips.) Is that your boy hair? Honestly I’m pretty torn but I’m leaning towards giving it a
TOOT
Lexi Lamour: Ok, this is honestly... fucking everything. A well, well, well deserved win. Those little legs on the cloud of fluff??!!!??? ICONIC. This look will go down in TDR history IMO. I have nothing bad to say. (and bitch, after your lil comment last week I was ready to read so take that as a huge compliment.) Undoubtedly a
SHOOT
Marcella Fox: How are you the real prettiest lady in the world!??! That CUNT face you’re giving... I can’t. The silver? The snake? The shoes? The everything? I must say (I know I’m a broken record) I looked for gloves and when I didn’t see them I sad. But! Overall!
TOOT
Paprika: Paps. Papi. Paprikers. It’s cute. It’s very cute! I fucking LOVE the flowered out eyes. I really like this wig two, it’s really funky??!?? Kind of giving me some 60s Mod realness tbh. BUt please- your little boy hands are scaring me. Put nailsorgloves on them!!! Also I can see your lil biscuit feet even though a close toed shoe. But still I like the look so
TOOT
Phoebe St. Jefferson: C’monnnn polish! You are, once again, the Queen’s Queen. Your eyes look so pretty. This look is really good- not stun, not groundbreaking, but really good. I would’ve liked to see a tighter snatch at the waist, and maybe some kind of shoulder-pad esque thigns on the jacket? But that’s just my weird brain. I really like this.
TOOT
Sugar Monroe: C DEEZ beautiful gams! This is a really cute, fierce look. I feel like you just stepped out of a hologram to guide me on my journey in a videogame. It is a bit simple- I would have lived to see some sparkles on the top, and a bigger or more obious necklace. Also when you go to handle the trade those forearms are gonna scare ‘em, just saying... ;) Love you tho, this is a success.

THE RETURN OF LOGAN’S TDR PUNS
Keep in mind, everything here is literally for the sake of shoving in as many bad puns as possible.
Analyse, picking Judah’s look really could have burned you, but you worked charred this week and likely kissed the top of the leaderboard.
Avana, while Ebony’s look paint easy to rework, you did your best and were a boss at this challenge!
Daddie, you really were a saint bringing your concept to light, And I love the neon green beard~
Dottie, not gonna lie you could’ve foxed yourself over with this one, but Marcella’s color choices look beautiful on your skin, even if the rest of the yellow was late-x to the party.
Ebony, your look was pretty on paper, but I agree with the judges that it needed a little la-more.
Giraffez, your runway was hilarious with your headpiece falling off, but it needed a bit more spice, to be wed-y to compete with the rest of these queens
Judah... Avant to give you my dearest apologies, I can’t think of a pun cAUSE YOUR LOOK LEFTME SPEECHLESS.
Klinker, the brazillian bombshell, careful with a com-munication problems, your look was devilishly beautiful, but was quite a bit out of dottie’s design’s world.
Lexi, pretty in pink, Noir matter what gets thrown your way, with the way you took this desgin has left my brean completely cloudy for any flaws.
Marcella, you snake I see that dress from your sin-week video, tsssssssk, tssssssk, but you took what you had... analyse you worked to make it unique and stylish~
Paprika, the other LSFYL queen!, C’monroe yourself up a creek week one, your auditon look left me a bit lackluster, bud you’ve already blossomed into an awesome queen!
Phoebe, I’m glad you buckel-ed down after cycle 7s close but no cigar competition, and you’ve come so far~ color me impressed with the way you rain-blowed the idea out of the water!
Sugar, with so much metal trying to get on a plane would get you thrown in the klink-er, back on topic c.d with those hands, and that mug, and honestly everything~ your way of working came off beautifully~
Might give amore serious commentary later, but all in all I agree with the judges this week! Judah and Lexi were very close together on the top.

Main Challenge #10 - Electro Pop Your Pussy!
This week our girls were challenged to build a musical empire and really use this last challenge to sell themselves to us! Lets see how they did!
Analyse Thropic
WOW, it’s hard to believe this is the final main challenge I’ll be submitting, but it was such a fun one! My parody song is “I Want the D” to the tune of “Somewhere That’s Green” from one of my favorite musicals, Little Shop of Horrors. For my character, I wanted to take inspiration from the character Audrey, who sings the song in the musical. She’s just some Skid Row riff raff, but she dreams of living the good life as a 1950s housewife (“nothin’ fancy like Levittown. Just a little street in a little suburb”). The first look is a Skid Row Audrey-meets-Sandy from Grease and the other two are more 1950s housewife inspired. I especially like this cherry dress, because my parody song is all about just trynna turn that cherry out.
I chose this song because a) I thought it translated really well into a parody and b) I thought that playing off the emotions of the original song (wanting something that you can’t have) furthered the humor of this parody. (Also, c) I’m SEVERELY DEHYDRATED and this is v on brand for me).
Lila: Wagwan. I’m gonna start off with your song choice, music video and album, and then have a quick summary of your outfit, because we’re banking more on your song than your outfits this week. Your video was very on par to those viral video parodies that Jackie Beat and Willam do, really smart and on the nose humour accompanied with hilarious graphics and truly smart editing all around. I feel as if you nailed the stop and squat method of filming, because you seem to have that Weather Girl approach to filming - which I mean, you can’t carry it on to other challenges now, but in the future if you do film, center, yourself, have pans and zooms and maybe have some shots of you dancing about or in the kitchen maybe, because the original music from that scene is very dancey and has those wide shots that are missing from all aspects of this video wholely. Speaking of holes, Soundbyte was extremely well thought out and well done, your album cover is one of the better ones of the bunch, would’ve just done a close up of your face and have the emojis overlayed over it like some kind of editorial Nicki Minaj Pink Friday vibe or Kimbra’s Vows esque where they blend into the album cover essentially. Your outfits really shocked me the most, easily some of the best outfits from your lookbook this cycle and you should be proud to hold your own with some of them. Your Sandy leggings really need to get that large belt or like a fanny pack, something just because they seem to be riding a little low around where I imagine your pelvis to be, in future try buying Tall versions of those because I assume you have a lanky frame so be careful with ya leggings mawma! Be very proud in what you’ve created this week, great job!
Gluttoni: ANALYSE! My pussy is popping and throbbing because of you. You gave my the off, off, OFF Broadway fantasy that I didn’t know I needed! I was craving more after your video was finished. First things first (I’m the realest), visually you looked stunning. You know I’m a sucker for a lady in red and you gave me that times three! The forties and fifties silhouettes were definitely flattering on you and gave me the shapes I’ve been wanting from you desperately throughout this competition. Keep up with this trend because these types of looks will be the perfect jump off for your up and coming drag career. I love your cleaner makeup and hair styling lately so keep that up as well I was obviously obsessed with all the phallic food props because you know that’s my cup of tea and I think you used them effectively. Not only that your song was soooo good and well written. I actually was really food of your singing voice and thought the song was something fitting of an album I’d hear from you. The cover art maybe was a bit disjointed from what you were serving but it was nothing bad. Really cute and simplistic in fact. I think the only downfall you had during this challenge in particular is the there was no movement from or interesting angles used in your video. I think that would have pushed this video over the top for me. Nonetheless, you murdered this challenge and hopefully this won’t be the last I see off you Anal! Good luck my dear.
Letha: Hey Analyse! Your video was so well done. It was a parody of a song that I honestly haven't ever heard before so it was basically totally new for me. The lyrics were smart and the editing was good, but I wish for a bit more variety throughout. The looks were a bit different but the staging was all the same for them and the hair was constant throughout. Your makeup looks even better this week, I know you were hesitant about the higher contour, but I quite like it and your face looks less muddy. The hair also started out quite good, but sort of fell apart throughout your filming. Good album cover as well. All in all, good job this week!
Toni: I want to start with your looks. I really love these, I think that its the right aesthetic for your video, and I think they were really well done. Your leggings on the all black look could have been high waisted and I think it would have fit better but it’s nothing really big just distracting . Your hair looks nice in some pictures and falling apart in others which I know you talked to us about but I do wish you could have taken the time to fix it. Onto the song I think it was very spot on matching with the original song and I think it was very well written. The video had me CRYING it was so funny, very tongue in cheek. It reminded me of a jackie beat video where it’s just a straight nasty parody. I love all the different food shots just to break up the video. Your album art is very cute and simple making sure you’re the focus of it, and I love that you added the warning on it to give it an authentic feel! Good Job this week!
Avana Noir
Hello judges and TDR community! Yo bitch is back with her Bet, Bitches and Donut holes! So for this challenge I was going to do a parody of a song but i wasn't like feeling it while writing so like i decided to write my own! This song gets dumb, fun and personal actually. Its basically about my inner fight with myself in this competition and my anxiety. So for the song I wanted to go for this two parts kinds of vibe where there is one part of the song where everything is fun and colorful, then there is like a sudden twist near the end. That is like suppose to represent how anxiety felt like to me throughout this. There is also a little scene where the mood changes in the middle of the song, that is intentional because I wanted to like represent that it can happen when you are with friends and you can check out automatically. But yeah! on to my lewks. For my first look of the video I wanted to go for this vibe of like " Fuck me at Coachella daddy plz" and for my second look It was suppose to be like this dark and distraught ( and very thirsty hair) look. Sort of showing the parallels of myself I had a great time doing this and I hope you enjoy my video and song. Thank you so much <3 PS- IM SO SORRY ABOUT MY VOICE IN THIS OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG. Ill cover yalls doctor bills.
Lila: BET. I’m gonna start off with your song choice, music video and album, and then have a quick summary of your outfit, because we’re banking more on your song than your outfits this week. I loved the approach you did. Out of all the girls, I’m glad that you A) Didn’t go for a parody and chose a more vulnerable choice and B) had two different selections of songs. I was skeptical your little breakdown was gonna be a screaming halt but honestly, it played out how I would expect one of the more official music videos would pan out which is excellent. Yours felt the most like a music video and I think that it’s foolish to deny that. You had dancers, different shots, even different areas of interest, like “Look bitch, I’m with my girls on the bed!” then “LOOK, AT THE PARK DANCING” it flowed really well. I think your song captured your journey in this competition really well and I for one am glad that you’ve stuck in no matter how much doubt you placed in your mind and your illustration of it in the music video was just too good to be true. Your album cover is kind of cute, nothing to gag over though, it has that Graphic Design Is My Passion kind of vibe, but it’s cute, I would’ve just had a black and white image of yourself twirling some chiffon about like I Am Sasha Fierce vibes instead. Your fault comes in your outfit choice in the first portion of your music video - your styling for the second one was GORGEOUS, really fita the theme of what you were hitting home in that part, the wig and romper in the first one were kind of a miss. I think you needed to brush your hair out a lot, I saw your boy hair poking out of the wig so either stack it up or brush it out, and I think either a more Coachella vibe to your outfit would’ve been better, like keep that chiffon-y blouse type vibe going into the second act by having some sort of pastel pinks or teals with some white chiffon drapery going on, but you know, as it’s the Top 4 and we only have space for 3, it’s been a nit pick fest here. Overall, I loved this, Great job this week, mary!
Gluttoni: NOT DEEP IN MY ASS I CAN FEEL YOU! The return of the donut hole puncher had me on the floor bitch! The Chainsmokers are shook because you wrote a more complex song them Avana. This is sooooo current and fresh and I think that was your biggest selling point of this challenge for you. I think of the four of the contestants it’s clear you were the weakest vocally but honestly you made laugh the most with your lyrics and video. Speaking of your video, you did a phenomenal job with the filming of these. The camera quality was lit and the format and angling was it! You honestly DID THAT! Also good bless you for having some cute ass friend with rhythm to help dance your ass off because that was cute ass hell. Loved that they matched and fit your 2017 popular music vibe. After I’m done scoring I’m pretty sure your song is the one I’ll be bopping along to for a week. I only fear that your looks didn’t push the boundaries enough and might hold you back. Your mug was beautiful this week but I need the hair and costumes to really get more advanced if you want to advance. Otherwise I thought you did amazing my love. All the best to you.
Letha: Avanaaaaaa! This video was very cool, it felt like a legit music video (although maybe without the budget lol). The group choreo, the staging, it was great. I think there could have been more with the looks to make them a bit cooler (I like the black one more though). The makeup is okay, the freckles are a cute trend, but I cannot stand the hair, it's somehow both flat and messy. I would work on teasing or styling in more creative ways. The album cover was also cute, I could totally see it being sold out of a cardboard box at Coachella. Great job this week!
Toni: Lets start with your looks, I think they were nice.. Nothing really exciting but it really gave the aesthetic that you wanted for your video. You really need to sit down with the judges to work on your wigs because I feel like you think of them as an afterthought but they are so important because they frame your face. Makeup wise you’re improving and that's very clear, i think you need to work more with the judges on it to really get in there and start fine tuning because you have the base now you need to make sure its perfect. I am so in love with the video, song and album. I think the song was so amazing and far far different than anything the other girls did because yours was about your growth and struggle and it was so heartfelt and personal. The video was so. Well. done. I love that you had back up dancers, I love you had these dramatic shots in the woods, and the visual transition between the first half and second half of the song was so well and I really was able to see a side of you I’ve never seen of you and I really am glad you felt like you could show us. Your album cover was again well done because it was so left field from everyone else and it was so much more abstract and artistic. Good Job this week!
Lexi Lamour
MMM YeeEAHH! TDR, I'm a "Slave 4 U"! And I hope this isn't "Toxic" because I keep on trying harder when you say "Gimme More"! I've got the finale on my "Radar" and I I "I Wanna Go" all the way! So, I'm gonna hit you "Baby, One More Time"! Hi, Judges! This week I wanted to give a little throwback. I chose to parody "Baby One More Time" by Brit Brit and make it very on brand for Lexi as "Daddy One More Time"....because you know I love a good daddy! I wanted to pick a memorable throwback to have fun with this week. For my looks for the music video I chose 3 separate influences. I wanted to pick things that weren't exactly what Britney wore, but things that were subtle nods to things Britney would wear while still being things Lexi would wear. A nod to her athletic streetwear looks in the original video. A nod to something sexy and sleek that she would wear. And a nod to one of her strong costumes. For the video...I did have high hopes and a lot bigger plans than I was able to pursue. But I lost all of my usual help this week and by the GRACE of a higher power a friend from back home was in town and wanted to hang out and offered to assist while he was here. So in 4 hours I got in face and put this all together while he was still here. I know its not the best it could be, but given my circumstances it could've been a lot worse and I'm just glad I was able to at least give something. I'm not trying to make excuses. I just don't want y'all to think I just didn't try or give a damn this week. Because I did and I'm just disappointed that I couldn't have produced something bigger, but also happy that I was able to submit. So I ended up making a music video to my daddy(lol, as if I had one) singing for him to please get home and take care of business because I was bored just sitting there! For the album cover y'all wanted our brand as well as a relation to the project as a whole, so I decided to give sexy, strong, and nudged to my strengths throughout the competition with the back album art that I included for a little something extra. Ultimately, while I did not get to fulfill my original vision, I still had a lot of fun with this challenge.
Lila: Hello! I’m gonna start off with your song choice, music video and album, and then have a quick summary of your outfit, because we’re banking more on your song than your outfits this week. Your song was kind of okay, and okay at this point isn’t really what you should be hitting? We gave you all a week to do this challenge due to the worry that these videos would be rushed and to do everything in 4 hours is kind of Prison-Break, Do-Or-Die moment, and for what your video was, it came across really rushed like we worried about. I have no idea if you struggled this week or if it was an off week that you had, I don’t know, I just can’t really get my head around to kind of be like “Oh well, I don’t know what’s going on” which makes me concerned that we’re not seeing the full picture sometimes. I commend you for doing a 2 part album cover - front and back - although we only needed the one, and I see you milking your wins in this competitions on that back one - but I feel as if you could’ve just took a picture of you on your couch, maybe giving us Britney Jean vibes for your cover rather than this kind of Youtube Channel Introduction vibe. The recording was really clear, It was cute, but your lip synching lacks that emotion in the face I feel. You sell it all the time with body movements, but you seem really sad which kind of oddly balances this out. For your outfits, they were the most positive thing of your takes, you really sold them and I feel like had this not have been such a edit-heavy challenge, you would easily have rose above the ranks, but unfortunately it is. Overall, this was a good try this week.
Gluttoni: Sexy Lexi coming to seduce the judges for this crown I see. Now I’m not going to harp on the negative because I can’t say I wasn’t super gagged by your submission but will say you did well at this challenge. You already know love your accent and I loved how your accent shined through in your song because it was very endearing. Your mug was stamped and beat as per usual and you hair was ON! BUT the looks weren’t my favorite in the slightest because they really didn’t match the vibe you were trying to give off for this music video and somehow I think they managed to age you as well. Moving on, the video wasn’t as grand as I expected from you and most of the stuff seemed like an afterthought. It’s evident you can perform live because you definitely have the biggest stage presence performance wise compared to your sisters but don’t think that was your saving grace this week. That isn’t to say you didn’t work hard at this but it’s just not to level we have come to expect from you. I strongly relate to the song though and I think you definitely used your humor to your advantage. Give us your all blondie! I know you have so much more to give.
Letha: Lexiiiii. The looks here are giving me so Britney, especially the pigtails. The song is pretty good, and I know it's a parody but it isn't quite different enough for me. The staging of the video is also a bit meh, personally, with not a lot of variety in setting or editing. The album cover feels a bit stiff/basic but it's okay for me. All in all, I wanted a bit more energy/creativity from the whole project, because I didn't get much "you" throughout the whole thing. All in all, it's okay for me.
Toni: Okay I want to start with my favorite parts!! These looks are absolutely amazing!!! I love the street wear, those pants look so amazing on you and you totally have the body to pull those off because you look amazing. The red leotard is really beautiful and I think is stunning on your body, very britbrit. Finally that last look is giving me 80’s glam rock and I AM HERE FOR IT. The way it moves looks absolutely beautiful!! For the most part they were the most exciting part of the video because other than that you didn’t have much. I know you had a time crunch but here at the end that can be a make or break factor. I think there could have been more done editing wise because in all reality this is just kinda a few lip syncing shots with nothing else to break it up. The album cover wasn’t super exciting either because it was kinda you photoshopped on a stock image with some word art on it; there was a lot of room for creativity you could have explored there. Good job this week!
Sugar Monroe
Hey Judges. ;) so, for this weeks challenge, we were asked to do a parody of a song and keep things “on brand” with our drag personas and when looking for a song to do there was only one that was the right choice for me. And that song is “Candy Man” by Christina Aguilera. It’s one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists and it fits with me perfectly. Candy is Sugar, Duh. Lol the song has a 50’s feel to it, so that’s the direction I decided to take for the video aesthetically, with the hair and makeup. And also, for the album art and keeping up the 50’s theme, I decided to do a Rosie the Riveter inspired shot.
Lila: Sup Bitch x I’m gonna start off with your song choice, music video and album, and then have a quick summary of your outfit, because we’re banking more on your song than your outfits this week. Oh, Sugar. I love your album cover, one of the best out of the four and it’s really something adorable. I feel as though if you had your Rosie the Riveter outfit in this song you’d have more of a connection. Your video was super cute, I really got a sugar high (BLEP) when Laveau came up and did her rap, and from watching it twice, that was the only portion of your video I remember, really. Which is such a damn shame because I went back and watched your editing skills and they were so, so precise, it just had little substance on your part and then seeing Laveau rap, I felt as if you were being featured on her song rather than vice versa. Again, I’ll say this once more - your editing skills were strong, however the odd grain on your camera distracts from what could’ve been such a strong MV - as well as, well, your outfits. While yes, this challenge was less about the outfits and more about the song, you’ve still gotta show up to the workplace with a lax rule on clothing with pants on. I hope you burned all of your empire dresses (and for a matter, your lesbian angel poncho too) after your Renaissance in this competition, but unfortunately not. For having a week, I would’ve probably pushed to do something a bit more out of the box with your outfits, so that you could still have those extra points in case your video wasn’t enough - like one of those candy couture looks I’m waiting to see from you. It’s just underwhelming and I think it might’ve been to go with the song, but I wouldn’t have just used these outfits to be like “Hey, I’m Pedestrian!” I would’ve done outfits that say “I WAS Pedestrian, now I am NOT.” For me this week, this was okay, but if you make it to the finale, step it up!
Gluttoni: Sugar you shined so bright for me this week. I loved the song and the humor you provided with your submission this. BY far the best song in my eyes. You literally used all the stuff people have said about you to your full advantage. The hook was genius as well as the choruses. You by a landslide had the best lyricism and graphics of all the girls. I’m obsessed with the cover art due to it being conceptual and super well done. I thought although your look were simple which seems to be a staple for you that I can only accept now, I found that it worked in this heavily image driven video. Which gave me 90’s bubblegum pop T’s and I was quite living for it. Your feature is none other than the patron witch of TDR Laveau and I have to say her part really amped this song up and made you shine as well because production value and NOLA family values were off the charts. I personally look forward to seeing what you can do in the future. You’ve been showing yourself to be quite the powerhouse. Hopefully your ties aren’t what makes you as queen and I hope to see what you were to bring in the finale. Good luck my sweet.
Letha:Sugar! The production value of the video was great, and you moving to NOLA continues to be a wise career choice for your drag. Laveau's advice, as well as her guest rap spot, really helped your video. The rest however, got a bit dull/repetitive throughout. I blame that partially on the song choice, as that it pretty much is what it is. The effects were good and the changes in staging were effective, but the looks were a bit meh. Love the hair/makeup though! The album cover was also very well edited. All in all, it's okay for me.
Toni: Hey sugar! Lets start with your face because I think your makeup and hair this week is so well done. The red wig in particular is so stunning on you, giving me I love lucy vibes because it was so well done! Your makeup is really beautiful too!! I think if the contour had been a bit softer it would have been absolutely perfect!! I think… and I hate to say this the dresses were pedestrian, the white one is very reminiscent of the one you were eliminated in on c8. If you wanted it to come off as pedestrian i would have hammed it up and really just gone all out with a big forever 21 tag on it so that its campy, because right now I’m just confused about if it was intentional or not. The song came off a bit repetitive and I think if you didn’t have the LC breakdown it would have been a huge problem. There was an issue that whenever LC was on the screen she over powered you and really stole the show. I think the best part of your submission was your album cover because it’s so cute and fun and well thought out!! Good job this week!

Tumblr’s Drag Race Cycle 9 Reunited!
As our fan questions close, unfortunately Cycle 9 is coming to an end, and the time has come to reunite all of our sickening queens together in video form to answer questions from the judges and close out cycle 9! We’re very excited to end such a fun little cycle, but we have one last thing for our girls and that is a reunion video!
Questions will be sent out to you in personal messages and you must record a video including the following:
Introduce yourself to the TDR audience, just like “Hi, it’s ________ and I’m so happy to be back on your computer screen” or something cheesy like that.
Answer all judges’ and fan questions you received.
Who do you want to see win the crown? Say which of the remaining contestants team you are on and why?
Any final words, thoughts, and good byes.
A final 15 second runway walk to no music.
To Our Final 4:
Instead of declaring what team you are on, you must each include an “If I win” video as well as a Crowning speech to be included in the reunion in the event that you are crowned Tumblr’s Next Drag Superstar.
It is key that you should be in drag for these videos - as this is the last chance you get to show the community how much you have grown. The best way to submit your videos is through a full video on YouTube with breaks between each question and submitting it as a video link, or individually cutting your videos into each question/answer and submitting them via Google Drive. Our email is [email protected].
Your videos are due no later than Friday, 19th of May at 6PM EDT!
So for the last time ladies good luck & don’t fuck it up!

Main Challenge #8 - Suspecting a Clue?
This week, the girls were guilty for being sickening inspirations of the suspects from the iconic board game Clue/do! Let’s see how well the girls did!
Analyse Thropic | Proffessor Plum
Prof. Patricia Plum didn’t expect murder to be on the agenda at tonight’s dinner party, but at least she brought gloves to cover up those red hands. She’s head of the art history department at the local uni and has for years been using her immense knowledge of art to create counterfeit paintings that sell for millions. Of course, she enjoys the other perks of her position… countless numbers of desperate academics beneath her, and sometimes on top of her. Someone at the dinner party is going to expose Plum’s fraud and affairs, so she takes matters into her own hands.
For this look, I took inspiration from the game piece color for Prof. Plum and created a look in purples with a silhouette inspired by the late 40s and early 50s, specifically the Dior “New Look” with a cinched waist, accented bust, and wide hips with a long pleated skirt. I was worried about this skirt, because I knew I was going to have to make it, and it was my first time working with a non-stretch fabric, creating pleats, and installing a zipper, but hey, it stayed on! I liked the character of Prof. Plum, because if you look at the Clue(do) canon, there are so many varying backstories that I decided to just create my own of the promiscuous and corrupt art history professor.
Lila: You had a great start to the week with your ideas for the challenge, then you kind of panicked and it kind of affects your work when you panic, trust and believe. There are certain elements of this costume that are really beautiful, I love your skirt, really shocked that again, 5 months back you hadn’t touched a sewing machine in your life. It’s probably the closest to the New Look style you were going for, and the gloves aren’t killing me anytime soon either. Your makeup is quite stunning, I appreciate the kind of shift to try and do a more natural look since judges start to nag and beckon you to try something different with your makeup and it’s looking really refined. My biggest upset is that you chose to not use a hat - like, point one, hair that sits laying low and long it’s not cute if you don’t have a feature of a hat or turn it into an updo - like I started to cut out hats from magazines and placed them over your images on the screen to try and make it look better and honestly, adding something like that would’ve really, *really* tighten this together. I’m also hella upset that you used a cardigan - like unless it’s lazy drag for a mini challenge or if you’re going out as a joke and you bought this one crochet dress for like two dollars, really I frown upon cardigans in main challenges. Your monologue was okay, I wish you didn’t put a harsh filter of police lights over it and did have the camera on a tripod or something, the Trisha Paytas hasn’t left you from last week it seems. I think it’s just that since there’s 6 of you left, we’re wanting to hone down on the competition and get you guys to really touch base as soon as the challenge starts - have 3 ideas going into the challenge at LEAST. Remember, you won the first mini challenge regarding concepts and we don’t care if you can’t draw, it’s better than having a wall of text giving us a looser depiction of your concept than Toni’s donut hole. Overall, this was an okay job, Analyse - you’ve shown us that you can do great in look challenges, but unfortunately this one was a miss.
Gluttoni: Anal, I’d definitely eat your plum. You look extremely beautiful in these hues of purple and I’m gagged your sewed this full, beautiful skirt. I totally understand the subtlety you tried to provide but nothing about this look is awe-inspiring. I just think you could have really took it there with more accents and accessories. You of course look great as blonde but I’m going need to see more control regarding your lace line in the future. I like the really blended, simple smokey eye but I honestly just want more detailing from you. (Break out that clon white for that brow bone henny!) Coming off of your last win, I’ve just come to expect more from you. Give me more.
Letha: Analyse, for someone who hasn't made a pleated skirt before, you seem do have done quite well! I'm just a bit pressed how you ended up covering the best part of the skirt with that frumpy cardigan. It spills over the cinched waist and does very little for your shape. The lines for the New Look had to be very clean and structured, and I'm just not getting that with this look. The cardigan just isn't fitted enough, and the sleeves could have been rolled flatter/neater if you didn't want to cut/hem them. I love the overall color scheme, and the pop of the red lip was a nice touch (God, if this wasn't the week for a red lip, idk what would be). The makeup is softer and smokier, which I obviously resonate with, and I quite like it. The lip shape is fun too, watch the messiness of the lines, though. I will say I don't like the nose very much, you were going for a button nose I think, but made the button too low and it just looks off. The hair is OKAY, like it's a good color and I'm sure the bag you popped it out of was nice, but it's not blowing me away. Having the hair so simple could have been saved by a nice purple hat, but it's just a bit bare up top. The monologue wasn't my favorite either. It could have been camped up a bit more, knowing you, and it felt like you were holding back. All in all, I feel like this wasn't your best week.
Toni: Lets just address the elephant in the room, this look isn’t everything it could have been and is below your standard look wise. I really like things about it, the glasses, jewerly, skirt, gloves, but the top really comes in and kinda dumbs everything down for me. I think had there been maybe some jewels on the buttons or something to make them more defined as well as maybe a collar to accent the top and make it a bit more formal dress (because you are a professor). I also would have loved to see a big hat with feathers and flowers to really help even out the shape of the skirt. Onto the video I thought it was really funny with a nice twist at the end but my only complaint is the way you filmed it seemed messy and very much like a Trisha video but not in a good way. Step it up babe!
Cyber:I LOVE this costume Analyse but the overall look feels unbalanced to me. I wish that you had an extravagant hat to match your skirt or had gone with an updo instead of just wearing your hair down. Your monologue, however, was fantastic and had me ROLLING. Wonderful job this week!
Travisty: Analyse, this puffy skirt works so very well for your character!,it's such a shame to see it paired with that cardigan which I feel really pulls the whole overall look down,it's kinda dated but the rest of your character gives me allot more glamourous vibes. Your monologue however was one of the more memorable ones, it gave me genuine Chris Crocker vibes in all the right ways, with just a nice pinch of comedy in there at the end well done.
Avana Noir | Mrs. White
hey bitches, THAT BITCH TONI HAD IT COMING, long story short, i got mrs white as my character and i wanted to base of her from the movie and during the 1940's. i wanted to go for this elegance gown, which is totes not in my style of clothing BUT it worked! i also like added stones and fur to my gloves and of course my dress. i honestly live for this and hope you do to! I CINCHED TO ( sorry no padding :c ) SO IF I SEE " where yo bod" ima fight all of y'all. thank you so much for literally everything <3 thank you ( p.s- idk who's wig this is, never heard of her)
Lila: Remember when I said I nearly lost all hope in you last week? Hope RESTORED. The elements of this outfit surely come together in a way that puts Mrs. White in tandem with the version from the film Clue rather than the board game which is fine with me. The accented fur really screams Mrs. White while the styling from your face to your hat and hair shape scream Mrs. White but from the film. Just for future reference, if the bottom hem of your dress is hitting your ankle, you need to either change your shoe height or, in this case, tack on a piece of fur to the bottom to give it that extra-ness of it all. I feel like we’re never gonna get you with a piece of hair that fits, which is why I’m bringing it up constantly. You need to start messaging us about hair because now that it factors in more scoring points than in previous weeks you’ve gotta hone in on areas that you’re not used to doing. I get you on the hair part, hair is usually a last thought for me if I wasn’t planning a look in a sketchbook or anything, but since the first things I draw are the face and the hair, that should be the first thing or essentially the biggest thing that should strike you in the next look challenges. You and your friend are like Yolanda Gamp and her friend (she makes cakes on YouTube and the two together are like the most hilarious thing ever) but it doesn’t help when you try to give a dramatic monologue and we hear snickers and cackling. Please consider this every time you record, because I know your friend does a lot of recording and stuff for you so if we hear cackling and sniffling over your voice it’s like “Oh my god, there’s a ghost in her house that doesn’t want her to win this challenge”. Overall, I loved your look this week, good job!
Gluttoni: Avana, GUUURRRLLL! This is by far the best I’ve ever seen you look. Hands down! You makeup has improved immensely and now I’m seeing what a beauty you are. The eyes are blended well, the contour and lips are right! Keep on flourishing for the world to see because I definitely notice the growth now. The accents to the outfit work really well and the silhouette is pretty spot on. Remember gowns should hit the floor. Avana we getting close to the finish line so homie I need you to end this out strongly so don’t doubt yourself and fucking push it. Otherwise you really put on a show for us all this week.
Letha: Avana! So from the tits up, I really like the look (though contouring on some tiddies would help sell the body a bit more). The hat is great and the makeup is pretty good too. I like the idea of the bob hair cut, it's very Mrs. White from the movie as well, but when you wear a bob it had better be PERFECT, with some freeze spray holding those hairs in the exact shape, but this one needed a bit more of a brush before calling her done. I like the idea of the fur trim on the top of the dress, but looks a bit sloppy on the gloves and could have been smaller and neater, but the black dress itself is quite lackluster for me. If it's going to be as simple as a black dress, I needed some SHAPE, as in cinching and padding. The current shape now is okay, but I'm just not terribly struck by it. The length looks to be about right, though. The monologue fell apart a bit for me, you repeated yourself a lot and it seems as if you aren't really committing, even for the short time of the monologue. All in all, it's okay.
Toni: I really love this look on you! I think it is very on par with Mrs.white as a character and it’s very fitting for the time period you picked. I would have loved to see this with a more dramatic shape (bigger boobs, hips, chinched) as well as maybe with your arms shaved girl. I think that the gloves would have been perfect had they been pushed down a little. Onto the performance it was very cute and campy but seemed very… unthought out, kinda like your were improvising it as you filmed. I think if you had a script you went over a few times and had kept your friend from laughing it would have made your video so much better. You need to work on fine tuning things to be a bit more polished.
Cyber:This is a beautiful costume, Avana, and I especially love the fur trim. I wish you'd have incorporated some white onto your hat and the bottom of your dress to add more balance but, overall, the look is great! The purple hair did feel out of place to me, though, and I would have gone with a black or white to complete your theme. I felt like the first half of your monologue was great but the second half felt like you lost control of your character. The background noise really drew me out of following your performance this week as well.
Travisty: Im kinda pleased to see that you decided to not go full on over the top white for your character,it's a tricky one as full white with a fur can sometimes look cheap if it’s not done correctly, the neckline you have cut into the fur here really suits you!.in your monologue I felt detached and the mild focus on your pearls and jewelry was a bit confusing I felt like had you worn a more elaborate necklace to match the stoned gloves then it would of really pulled the look off allot more, I actually really enjoyed watching your monologue.however had it been less of a strange blur of serious and comedic and had you avoided looking away from the camera then it would've felt much smoother.
Lexi Lamour | Miss Scarlet
Yeah, that's right! It was I, Miss Scarlet, who killed Lila and Mr. Millesime! With a candlestick! In the lounge! After she found out I was the one who killed her husband I just couldn't let her rat me out. So....I took my chance and offed her after the dinner party had dispersed. I stayed behind after the guests were released from the dinner party because I knew Lila was on to me. I attacked her and as she tried to crawl away I followed her and finished her off before she could tell and confessed to murdering poor Mr. Millesime. He caught on to the fact that I wanted the crown. It's just a shame Lila got caught up in the mix. Hi, Judges! I picked Miss Scarlet for myself because I wanted to show a red look...and I felt more of a vibe from this character....it helps that she's always the first player/character to go in the game, *wink*. I was inspired by the 30's sample looks Lila shared with us and the fact that shes described as a young, cunning, and highly attractive femme fatale... So, I went with an old hollywood gown and a headpiece to match on top of a classic short and dark finger wave hairstyle....like a young HollyWood starlet. For the makeup I went soft and feminine much of the time period. For my confession video...I took it from a different point of view. The camera angle is from that of poor Lila as she lay dying. I thought it would be interesting to have the killer coming out of the shadows. Like an "Oh my goodness! Who is coming? Who is the killer?!" kind of feel. I wanted it to be more of a creepy scene/story and not just confessing into a camera. I'm crazy in love with my concept and look this week and this is by far my favorite thing I've done.
Lila: From what you told us, you were going to do this wide sleeved, fitted silhouette inspired by Claudette Colbert, a more classic touch which I see elements from, but like to the tune of Lexi - some people got caught up in the option of dressing for a character, while you stayed true to your own character and said “what Lexi would look like if ….” which I commend. This is such an alluring look in the essence that you have all red everything - and had the black hair to contrast with it. The fascinator is such a nice touch and really adds high drama to the outfit. The pulling back on giving colour to your cheeks a la blush was a smart decision in this concept - there’s a lot of red everywhere else so you didn’t wanna look like a mascot for like, strawberry yoghurt of something, which I commend you for. On the topic of makeup, your nose is starting to get a little bit wider - always reference what I consider your strongest week for makeup - your Pokemon Leader week - and be like “okay, I’m gonna do this with the eye, and then pull the lips out into a more Fay-Baker look” just for when you pair looks with your makeup. Your monologue was okay, it wasn’t gagworthy in terms of acting and I think you need to remind yourself to have fun with it - You managed to cinch a win in acting before and with you being a bit of an overthinker, you have to say “I’m gonna have fun with this, I’m gonna deliver and snatch their attention”. Overall, I loved you this week, great job!
Gluttoni: What a fucking starlet you are Lexi. I’m gonna keep this short and brief because you completely slayed this. I love the headpiece but maybe would have simplified it a little since the gown is so grand . So grand that I’m making something extremely similar to this but then again great minds think alike. The short hair was a perfect choice to complete this very grand dame look and the red is very very stunning. Definitely a trigger color of mine. My only advice I could give is get warm toned bronzer to even out the gray of your contour and a better chest contour would be amazing with this neck line. Beautiful work as always though Lex.
Letha: Lexiiiiiii, I hate to use the "s" word, but I cant help it. I'm shook. It's a classical, striking silhouette, and when you chose Miss Scarlet, you really went for it. It's truly stunning. I also really love the headpiece, it's a focal point for the outfit an it wasn't overdone. I love how the makeup is scaled back to let the outfit shine, except for the pop of red (I'm also digging your lip shape this week, it's concealing the natural lip line a bit better, in my opinion. The monologue was also quite good, I loved the bit at the end. It was less confessional style and a bit more "found footage PoV" but it still really worked. I really don't have too much to say this week because it was honestly so good. Fantastic job this week!
Toni: I’m glad someone has got their fire back because… you’re red hot! I really do adore this look and I don’t think I have any complaints about it (although the cape could be held on in a better fashion) I do wish there was a pendant necklace like gaga had when she wore that beautiful silver gown. The makeup is stunning, i’m glad you fixed your lips for this week, jut watch the nose contour. I really like that you took your video in a direction that no one else thought of, it was creative and really stood out. Good job this week.
Cyber: B I C T H. This costume is absolutely gorgeous and I'd like one in every color. THIS is the Lexi that won three weeks in a row. I really don't have much constructive criticism for you other than I wish your eyes were smoked out a bit more and your lips maybe a tad more defined (with a darker red). As for your monologue I'm honestly in the same boat. I literally had to pause about two seconds in because you came ready with an INTRO which caught me entirely off guard. You brought back the excellence this week and really hit me with that candlestick - wonderful job!
Travisty: YES.I really do love this outfit and your makeup is so well balanced with it, it's so dramatic while avoiding being too costumey, your monologue was nicely shot with a great idea however I feel like the execution wasn't as strong as you can be, but I got more of a sense of your character from the runway which was really nice to see. Overall I really enjoyed this look had your monologue not brought you down slightly I would of loved the whole shazam!
Marcella Fox | Colonel Mustard
Hello Judges! This week I was given Colonel Mustard for my inspiration. For my chosen vintage era, I took inspiration from 1940’s formal-wear, and put together a look befitting of both my Cluedo character and the time period. As some of you know, even just finding stuff the right colour was a task and a half for me this week! But I scrambled in charity shops and borrowed from friends, and this is what I came up with! The resulting look borrows from both male and female formal attire from the 40’s - The blazer in particular I felt alluded to Colonel Mustard’s hunting outfit, so I added a couple of pheasant feathers to match. The hair and sunglasses are very vintage-looking, and I put on some lace gloves to go with the skirt and class it up a bit. I tried to evoke the era in my make-up as well, with an understated but plump burgundy lip, and rounded, slightly smokey eyes. Overall I’m pleased with the result, it’s definitely the best I could manage under the circumstances.
Lila: From the get go, I knew it’d be a struggle for you. After telling us how much yellow you could find I was ready to run down to Derby and throw dresses at you, honestly. But like, I didn’t have to - because you, once again, delivered one HELL of a strong look here, honestly. You kind of prove that you don’t have to have such a strong, bright ass colour to be like “look, I’m Colonel Mustard, bang bang you ded” and to be honest, you played with just the right amount of colour to sell to us your character. I see Bette Davis and Marlene Dietrich in this look, really strong bad ass women who would start fucking riots to get what they want and what they deserve. I love how there’s an element of Noire in your choice of undergarments, the hints of black in your look really make the yellows not only pop but also give this look a hell of a lot of power. Your monologue, you’re always gonna be one of the better actresses of the bunch, no doubt about that - I would’ve done more of a shrieking yell about killing someone, you seemed quite timid at first when you admitted to it. I think between this, your Art week, and your Gym Leader week, this has got to be your best look to date. Great Job!
Gluttoni: Marcella. You by far had my favorite monologue of the bunch because you were well spoken and clear in your intention as that really put you over the edge for me. You just come of as very charming and I think that will take you very far in the drag. Your loo was pretty stellar for me because you give off the essence of an old Hollywood actress with the talent to really back it up. I feel like I say this to you often but I honestly don’t have any critiques but I do have a challenge for you doll. Next week I want to see a adventurous look and mug to match. Take me to another world henny. Amazing work from you this week.
Letha: Miss Marcella Mustard! This look is once again, fashion. It's simple but striking, a bit like how you struck Antonina with your little yellow car. You were given a very hard color/character, in my opinion, but made it work for you. The hair and lips add the perfect pops of color and compliment the look. The beat and hair style are stunning, no complaints from me. The accessories are nice, but I do feel that the feathers on the shoulder compete with your hair a bit (I feel like putting them on a little hat/fascinator would have worked, especially for this week). The elements of black help to ground the look and make it more cohesive, and the gloves are a nice touch (especially because we know your thoughts on nails). You video was very noire, the filter added a lot, and was well acted, so props on that. Great job this week!
Toni: This is honestly the most stunning you’ve ever looked. The makeup is just really feminine and classically beautiful. The hair is styled so it really highlights your face and gives you a nice shape. I really love the way you’ve styled the jacket and under it because it reads a bit masculine and really fits your character while still being drag. I think the skirt throws me off a little but I’m not really mad at it. I think my only complaint for the look would have been to take off the gloves or the tights and show a little skin just to break up the black. I really enjoyed your video I think it was funny, but still gave us realistic old hollywood vibes which I really enjoyed. Good job this week.
Cyber:Marcella you are SO beautiful and this look is screaming Bette Davis at me. I honestly want to snatch this hair from you. Something about the jacket and dress clash for me but, overall, I really do love this look and think it was well executed. Your monologue was also one of my favorites this week and I thought everything from your scripting to your presentation and acting were on point - great job, darling!
Travisty: This character got me completely involved with the monologue I love it,you really brought it to life right down to your eye makeup the hints of colonel mustard were subtle but executed strongly enough to make it work, had you went full on mustard everything it could of been difficult to love and take seriously so well done, this hair is also perfect for your character and just adds to it all. Your runway was a great introduction to the mannerisms and ect. You really made that walk say allot about you, this was really strong well done!
Phoebe St. Jefferson | Reverand/Mr. Green
Hi judges! This week I got Mr Green, a fat balding priest and i made him into a sexy woman. She is on the town ready to spread the word of jesus christ. She may only be a house wife, but she is ready to take on the world. She is loving life in 1935 June but also October in New York, just between monday and friday after noon but also just in time to see the sunrise before lunch. She just wanted something simple, but extravagent, something a little old, but brand new, but made to look old, but also made by hand, last summer 1942.
For my dress I got this cute thing from a thrift shop. I thought it fit in my era and was really cute. I wore gloves and jewels. For my hat I couldnt find one that fit so I said fuck it and made it myself. I used carboard and fabric and lot of hot glue. I like it but its already falling apart lol. I also made a cross necklace to finish off my character and used a book i bought for school but never read to use as a bible. My confession makes no sense but I thought it was kind of funny.
Lila: All these outfits so far have been so strong and yours is no different! Your pairing with black this week works really nicely and it’s nicer to see your hair up rather than it being down. I love your silhouette, I do wish there was some sort of petticoat underneath the skirt to give it more of a flare out, however I digress. The things that are bringing you down this week are your monologue and your makeup. A nude lip would’ve have done miles more better than a red lip for this look, in my opinion. The red’s just not doing anything for me, and I feel as if you’re doing your lips with just lipstick rather than using a liner to sketch out the shape before you overdraw them. Your eyebrows look amazing here, and your eye makeup too, so when you give us precision like you have with those elements, try to translate that precision with your lips too. For your monologue, I mean, it’s getting lost in translation with how scared you look and feel on camera. You need to hone in on your audition tape again, look at yourself talking and making jokes, because you are a funny queen, it just doesn’t translate when you’re given the prompt to be funny or act. It’s such a difficult thing to learn to translate jokes or acting into something that you don’t normally do to be funny, but this competition either makes or breaks that type of person. If this week was an earlier week, say Top 10 or 9, it would’ve been a good week, but since we’re down to just 6, it’s getting tougher and tougher to choose where people stand.
Gluttoni: You were mint to be in this competition Phoebe ! Hah get it? But seriously I’m so astonished with the strides you are making in your drag. This probably my favorite face you’ve ever done and you look beautiful. The look is very fitting and your monologue was fairly decent but I’m just vying for more from you. Nothing about this submission really stands out and with strong competitors in the competition I fear for you. Show everyone you are here to win because with the strong work ethic that you have I Know you can totally pull through.
Letha: Pheebs! I actually quite like this look. You picked a character and really stuck with it throughout your whole creative process. The coat/dress thingie was a PERFECT thrifting find, and I think it really makes your look. Any more green would have been a bit garish for me, considering the brief you were given, so having the rest of the look be black was a smart choice. For your makeup, I will say I really enjoy this eye shape on you, but your nose contour is a bit muddy and ill-defined, and your cheek contour starts too low (a good rule of thumb is to start where the top of your ear connects to your head, maybe a bit lower than that but not much, yours is starting at the bottom of your ear). The red lip makes sense as it compliments green, but the top/bottom lips are a bit not proportional, as the top one is a LOT bigger than the bottom, so I would work on getting them a bit more even. As for the video, it went a bit off the rails into kooky-land and didn't make the MOST sense, but it was cute (also, thanks for killing me, bitch). Overall, good job!
Toni:I really love the way this is styled and the way it lays on your body. I think breaking up the green wass a smart move because it does look as if ti was a wall of green. I think if you had a bit more padding in the breast the top part would look more filled out while still allowing it to drape. I think makeup wise you could have thinned your nose out a bit more and made your lips a bit cleaner (maybe giving ti a more cupid bow shape), but I do fine the eyes very striking and In a good way. Your video was a very cute start but I felt that to the end it shook the boat a bit too much and became a bit lost over all.
Cyber: I'm kind of in love with this dress, Phoebe, and the overall presentation of your character was very cute! Unfortuantely I feel like, compared to the other girls, you didn't quite give us enough oomph to really shine in the overcast of their shadows. The idea behind your monologue was honestly very solid but the delivery didn't quite sell it to me. There were a few words you tripped over and I didn't ever really believe anything you were saying. You have to make sure to commit yourself 100% when you're playing off a character or it has a great chance to fall flat to those around you. Compared to week three when I last saw you tackle a character role you felt much more held back for me.
Travisty: I really like how you've thought alot about who your character is and this really shows, does it show quite enough to stop you from being kinda overshadowed by the other girls? Sadly Maybe not. The runway felt a bit disjointed and at times had too much going on that sadly didn't actually help me understand more about your character and just kinda felt like you were doing these movements and actions just to fill time.your monologue however did have a really strong idea behind it and it would've been nice to see this almost campaign like “kill your husbands” idea start much sooner in the clip as this could of been developed much further , however Im pleased to see you took my advice on your makeup it's made your face look allot more balanced.
Sugar Monroe | Mrs. Peacock
Hiiiieeee! So, I was assigned Mrs. Peacock and I chose to give you 50’s Peacock dinner party realness. From the hair, to the fur stole, to the poodle skirt inspired tulle skirt, this look is my interpretation of Mrs. Peacock in the 50’s. Enjoy. :)
Lila: When you do empire waists with the skirt and short sleeve, ALWAYS LOOK AT THIS FOR REFERENCE - because this is STELLAR. Your styling this week is so impeccable and you gave this like renaissance to a character while staying true to yourself. Really, the hair makes or breaks your looks with the silhouettes like this - I enjoy this so much. While my pet peeve is that your blues here are holographic, having that tinge of green and silver making them really off kilter and making me go “huh?”, I look at the peacock feathers placed in your hair and go “OH.” because they are the sort of colours to come out of that variation of feather and it’s just, UGH. Sugar, you make me so proud that this uphill battle of you trying to fight critiques saying your pedestrian and fighting that uphill battle of the competition is slowly starting to benefit you so much, like it’s so impressive. Your makeup, holy shit - like this is your best by far. You literally look like a painted porcelain doll and it’s like I’m looking at visual art. My only critique is that, point A, your black bodice is looking more like an undergarment, billow up more of the stole to douse your blouse (cackles) in glorious white fur, and point B, your monologue had an instance of when you hesitated and nearly broke out of your character when you paused before saying “Fucking stabbed her” because your little transatlantic accent was quivering, take care to rehearse it with the accent or shoot twice incase it happens again. Overall, great work this week!
Gluttoni: SUGAR. You look incredibly stunning and honestly the best you’ve ever looked. This is a fantastic look if I’m honest. I love the metallic aspects along with that glorious hair. Can’t say you’re holding back anymore but I was underwhelmed by your characterization and confession. That isn’t to say you did badly thould but it's such a tight race at this point. Sugar give these last weeks your all.
Letha: Hey Sugar! So, what I like about this look. I love the hair, it's perfectly coiffed, and I love the makeup, the color story makes sense with your character. The props and accessories are also a nice touch (I did notice the feather wasn't in your pictures, but was in your videos, so maybe some difficulties arose with it). As for the outfit, between the stole and your silhouette, the shape gets a bit lost, and there isn't really enough COLOR for a character named Mrs. Peacock, in my opinion. I wish the tulle skirt had some more blue in it, because both the light pink skirt and the lighter colored stole really dominate the look and make it sort of blah to look at. I think even adding that same trim around the bottom of the skirt that you used to make the stripe at the waist would have been cool, or even some appliques, like a real poodle skirt. When it came to the video, the joke was there, but it got a bit repetitive (you said the P-word a LOT), and the accent was pretty inconsistent. Overall, I really do see your growth and improvement since we started together, but knowing what you had to work with, you could have done more.
Toni: Girl that hair slays my gay ass, it’s so beautifully sculpted and first your character so well, and I love that you added a bit of peacock feather to it. I have really mixed feelings about this look, because on one hand I really like it, but on the other hand It doesn’t really read peacock at all. I think if you had done a full skirt in a green or blue it would have really rounded out the look to show us who you were, without totally changing the imagine you had planned. The eyes and lips are both very very stunning but I do think you could have blended your highlight and contour a bit more so there aren’t such harsh lines. Also ima just throw a clock at that arm hair cause she wasn’t invited to lilas clue party ;). I think performance wise it was cute, and well acted but there is a bunch of background noise that really distracted from the performance itself overall I think you really need to focus on fine tuning ideas so that they come out flawlessly.
Cyber: THIS HAIR BITCH. But for me that was really the only big standout about this costume. I love it, absolutely, but aside from a few pops of teal and a feather in your hair it didn't scream "Mrs. Peacock" to me. However I LOVED your monologue this week. Though your accent was... suspicious... your delivery was spot on and your absolutely expressionless face until the giggle at the end was absolutely perfect. The only thing that ruined it for me was the background noise - it made it very hard to concentrate on your performance and, similarly to Avana, it really drew me out of it.
Travisty: Your hair is amazing and perfect era wise,I adore the subtle hints of peacock that arent overpowering but certainly help deliver your character and pairs with your makeup really well, your runway however felt a little dead behind the eyes and did not evoke any emotion likewise with your monologue, however it was well executed just somewhat emotionless, I feel like if this was intentional in order to show that you really didn't care less that you killed her, then this could of been made more obvious with facial expression and avoiding glancing off camera as this can make things less believable and often disconnects the viewer, I genuinely really love your contour here though, impressive look just a few letdowns that could have been avoided in pulling you down.

Main Challenge #7 - Snatch Game!
This week, our queens put their feet in someone else’s shoes, and played the Snatch Game! Let’s see how well they did!
Analyse Thropic | Trisha Paytas
I chose to do Trisha Paytas for my Snatch Game, because a) I thought she was already this over-the-top character that would be fun to portray and b) she’s in a weird sort of way someone to admire. Like, for as much of a constant mess as Trisha is, she takes it in stride and she always gets back up and gets to work. I think there’s a lesson in there somewhere. Anyways, for the look, I took a lot of inspiration from the music video for Thick. She has some cut off jorts and I.CON.IC. socks-over-heels in the video, and pink sweaters are a staple of her wardrobe. No Trisha look is complete with some cute nails and a pair of sunglasses. Another iconic part of Trisha’s fashion is her collection of chokers. I think this look is pretty minimalistic, but is definitely something you could catch Trisha wearing when she’s driving her pink G-Wagon to Wendy’s or just filming a short vlog sitting on her living room floor.
Lila: I hate you so much. I could’ve just put your video on in the background and done some sewing and you couldn’t have told me if it was Trisha Paytas or Ms. Analyse Thropic playing her ass. I literally HOLLERED when I saw your titties this week, it just seems like they’re a focal point every week and we just have to point them out. Your characterisation of her was spot on, I loved that you kept the outfit quite draggy and the socks on your heels are everything. One thing I would’ve worked on is that you could’ve had your questions pop up in some sort of subtitle box, and cut dramatically from one mood to the other rather than having a sort of continuous vlog-style loop. It kind of threw me off when you started crying randomly rather than sitting with a high angle shot of you in the kitchen or even if you were crying into a bag of potato chips, like it could’ve worked all the more while. Overall, this was great work, Analyse!
Gluttoni: Analyse! I love you per usual. What a great choice as far as personalities go to do Trisha. Who in my eyes is one of the greatest viral stars and musicians ever. “Thick” the single was iconic. I’ll start with the look which of course is a tricky subject this week because you're painting with someone else in mind. But gurlllll….why you look so dry henny? I was seeing the progress of more refined brows and fined tuned makeup in the past weeks soooo don’t backtrack. I do think you did a fairly good job of doing a light “real girl beat” but I was just expecting more because Trish is extra as fuck. I loved the outfit because it definitely reflected something trendy women of 2017 would wear. So the look was pretty A1. What would have put this submission over the edge for me would have been more youtube lingo type shit. Like the freeze frame video icons with dumb ass titles during your punch lines for dramatic effect or simply more fucking crying. Also where was the mukbang portion. I feel a little cheated out of the drama that is Trisha but that aside this was strong snatch. Tight too.
Letha: Analyse, as always you had me HOLLERING with your video. It was hilarious, your characterizations of Trisha were spot on, and even the shaky, vlog style of filming made sense. You captured the airheadedness of your character while still making your responses clever and funny. The look is very Trisha (those fuckin sock shoes, I cannot with you), but watch the leg bands on your tights. They kind of throw off the look of the leg, so if you're gonna wear them make sure you have an opaque pair of tights without the bands on the outside layer to hide them better. The makeup is also pretty good, the colors of the lips/brows make sense and I line the smoky eye. I feel like you're a bit flour white towards the middle of the face, especially the nose, so I think you could have toned it down for this challenge, since Trisha is a bit more subtle. Lip shape is good as well! You had a bit of a setback with your phobia last week, but I'm pleased to say you've made a full recovery in my eyes, great job!
Toni: Honestly I am disappointed this week from you, there wasn’t enough boobs, mukbangs, and you didn’t out anyone as gay and didnt cry enough????? Like 01/10. But in all reality this is sooooooo fucking funny I was crying!!! I kinda love these huge tits on you i think if you amde them a couple cups smaller it would look good on you. I think you really captured her personality and how tacky she is. I would have loved to see the nose be a bit more pug like the way hers is and I would have loved that instead of it being the vlog style video if you set it up as a mukbang, but all around this was so fucking funny!!!
Avana Noir | Abby Wilde as Stacey Dillsen
HELLO judges! FOR SNATCH GAME I play Abby Wilde as her character STACEY DILLSEN from Zoey 101!. she is a quirky character for her love of cotton schwabs, sassafras tea and LOGAN REESE which i amped for snatch game! She is kind of crazier and quirkier and schwabier! For my look I kind of based it off her prom look for the show since stacy doesnt really have good fashion...thats one thing we have in common! haha. I hope you hoes enjoy my lewk and performance!
Lila: Avana, I’m starting to just lose hope so much. I think this week out of any other was the chance to really step up and knock Snatch Game out of the park, and your portrayal of this actress playing a character didn’t work out so well. I had to google your character to find out about them as well as their actress’ name as well, and Stacey Dillsen is rather a relic of the past with a few small jokes. Zoey 101 wasn’t as funny for me as a child, the only funny thing was the paralyzing potato chips episode, and as you can see, I don’t recall the episode name or title. For me, the video was flat, and the fire you had Week 3 in the soap opera isn’t prominent here. I think now is the time to really worry, we’re down to the final 7 and it’s go time from here on out. Overall, you did alright this week.
Gluttoni: I was not expecting this, Avana! I know you had a plethora of choices to choose from for the Snatch Game and I literally avoided your personal chat just so can be surprised about your choice. ZOEY 101 was such an iconic show and literally your character brought so much nostalgia back for me. Because who does not relate to Stacy in some form or fashion. She’s kook, kind of spooky and honestly just plain ol’ weird. You kind of took it there but literally not all the way. If you’re going to go completely out of the box, take it all the way there girl. Because I was just missing some more the traits that made her lovably odd. The look is very eh and I think you could have found something to fit her a bit better but I understand the prom joke. This was very cute and I definitely got a few good chuckles out of this. Werk bitch because I know you have more to give.
Letha: Avana, I must admit I'm not too thrilled with your choices this week. Stacey Dillsen is a mildly funny, if annoying character from Zoey 101, and not one I would call an icon. But even considering that, if the video had been funny the choice would have worked for me, but I just didn't laugh that much. I do remember laughing at the throw/fall though. The voice you had pretty much down, which was esssentially just the lisp, but I'm not buying the look. I feel like you could have been MUCH MORE Zoey 101 with the fashion, even if you were going to prom, and that wig could have been much more pig tails and berets and all that. The makeup I can see for the character, maybe a darker lip would have helped. The swabs are a nice prop, though. All in all, I wasn't too shook by the performance, it was just okay for me.
Toni: So you made a really bold move with your character and sadly it really didn’t end up to well. I think the makeup is really fitting for the character and I think the voice is right, but i do think the dress isn’t fitting, you could have worn a sweater and jeans and your hair in pig tails and it would have been better. Content wise it was kinda flat, you only had 3 jokes that you kept going back to. I think this is because on the show shes a very one dimensional character and that was hard to make a into a fully realized impersonation. I think next time your best bet would be picking a stronger character.
Lexi Lamour | Tomi Lahren
Hi, Judges! Who did you vote for in this election? Because my special celebrity guest may have a few words for you depending on your choice! I chose to do Tomi Lahren because she's enough of a character that I could build on her personality. I was going for offensive, yet funny....circa Manila Luzon in RPDR S3 in the interview challenge. I was able to pull some things she's actually said, but also come up with things that I could see her saying. I didn't just want to quote directly everything she's said as I know that's been a problem during this challenge in the past. I feel like i got her movements, mannerisms, and just behavior in general down. I know the voice isn't totally there and I really did try, but this damn accent is as deep as I allow men to......well nevermind! As for the look I picked her classic silhouette. There are so many pictures online where she is wearing almost the exact same thing. She almost always wears a nude heel, so I paid attention to that detail. She's very minimal with the jewelry. Just a ring and a bracelet or 2. Overall I think I really did a good job with embodying her as well as taking her to an extra level.
Lila: Ugh, those damn liberals and their Snotch Game. Hey Lexi! First off, the transformation into liberal slayer Tammy Lacoste is so accurate, I love it. From the skirt up, it’s really great. Nitpicking, be careful with you tights - flash photography always makes nylon fabric come up with this weird kind of texture and just a small lighting fix’ll help that! You got Toyota’s mannerisms and poses down to a T - however, after the third answer, I wasn’t really entertained. Like, I think I remember Tabitha being a liberal before that, and you could’ve broke up half the alt-right rants up with things contradicting herself, which would’ve made it a lot more satirical and less “okay, she said Trump again,” or “Oh, another liberal jab” I think I’m like banging down on you a little, just because you played her character really well, like I was like “ugh this girl needs to stop talking!” and that’s how most of us feel when we see Tombola Loreal on Facebook and Twitter. Overall, great work this week!
Gluttoni: LEXI! I was fucking gagged! Now I can’t stand Tonsillitis Litter but your impersonation of her was so spot on that I had to laugh. I’m glad you added the little disclaimer at the end bitch because for minute it got too real with your accent (that worked so well for this) that I thought you going back on the evolution chain and Animorphing into her. I don’t have any favorite parts about Tahiti Lasso but I love how you got the name calling down. It was so spot on but I wish you would have gotten more creative with them and made some crazy ass combinations of words that literally made no sense but overall you definitely got the vibes of her demonic self right. You looked so much like her and you definitely got her finger pointing, yelling demeanor down! I do think sometimes you could have pulled back just a tad and added something more dynamic to the character but you were doing someone with only a few brain cells .This was such intelligent choice for you and you honestly came to fight for another win with this funny interpretation of this woman.
Letha: Lexi, your impersonation was great this week. The look is totally on point and the only thing I would have changed would be to add a bit of highlight or gloss on to the center of the lip, as Tomi is very much a gloss girl. The set is a great touch as well. I'm not feeling the voice/mannerisms as much, as you kind of started to yell and I felt a bit more 'you' coming through. Tomi is very much controlled, almost monotone crazy, which I did get a bit of in your video, but wasn't too consistent. I had some laughs throughout the video and it was well put together, your editing is getting better for sure. Good job this week!
Toni: Tomato lavato my god. I think the look is literally a carbon copy, except for the lips could have a nice gloss on them and be shaped a bit cleaner. I was screaming during the video because bitch you were just saying shit she could say. I do enjoy that you went off a few times because that was funny.I do think your voice was 100% you which broke the fantasy a bit. I think if you had done a joke or two like “trump would never EVER totally try to strip the gays of their rights” where its super tounge in cheek would have been so funny. Over all good work this week!
Marcella Fox | Victoria Beckham
Marcella Fox, who do you think you are? Some kind of superstar? Why yes, actually! So this week I’m everyone’s favourite 90’s rich bitch, Victoria Beckham! I chose her because I knew I could look like her, I knew I could sound like her, and I knew I could stretch her signature personality and dry sense of humour to make her funny enough for the snatch game! My version of her is very snobbish and bitter about her former bandmates, and clearly has her head in the clouds. Look-wise, I went full-on 90’s Spice Girl Posh - complete with little black dress, poker-straight bob and streaky fake tan! Instantly recognisable and truly iconic. It’s quite a simple look, no jewellery whatsoever, but that’s how she did things back then! And of course a pair of huge sunglasses to shield her eyes from the paparazzi. I copied her make-up almost exactly, and contoured my nose to look like her old one. You can call me a Wannabe, and say it’s Too Much, but I’ll just tell you to Stop!
Lila: I am gonna be honest, I opened your submission and I literally thought you kidnapped Posh Spice from the 90s and told her to pose for the camera. You look so DIFFERENT - I LOVE IT. Like, I don’t know who this is. This isn’t Marcella Fox -- until you opened your mouth. Almost immediately when you did your Snatch Game, the illusion dithered for me. I got elements of Victoria in there, but I wasn’t gut busting with laughter like I was for your informercial or soap opera challenge. I had a little chuckle at some elements that seemed totally commited, and some were quite slow and turned down a lot. There was a lot of commitment to the look, and some commitment to the performance, which had you had more of that stone cold physicality Victoria has, you could’ve amped your performance up to the Nth degree. However, you still Spiced Up our Lives. Great work!
Gluttoni: This was spot fucking on Marcie! Posh Spice is the Spice Girl everyone wants to be but not everyone can hone in on the diva essence that she has. You totally did that and it was outstanding to watch because it felt like I was watching a rare interview with her. THE LOOK WAS SO RIGHT. You looked so much like her I was so shook. I’d look like a junior high football player if I wore a tube dress and you looked so good so kudos to that. The mannerisms were there and the answers were thought out/funny. The fucking candy bar had me on the floor crying. My only critique I can give is that the characters you do tend to come off a tad similar so be wary of that. Overall phenomenal job gurl!
Letha: Marcella, let me start by saying that your look is on POINT this week. The makeup, the outfit, the hair, it's all Posh to a T and I live for it. That being said, I would say your video was pretty good, but not my favorite. I had a few laughs, but when picking someone like Vicky who doesn't have a huge personality, you had to really sell the cleverness, which I didn't get as much. I get that Victoria is a 'bitch', but it was pretty much just the one note throughout. The voice was not there at all for me, it was straight up Marcie, which isn't a huge point of contention, but it would have sold it more for me. Editing was good and snappy as always. All in all, good job!
Toni: Marcie im sorry but its actually against the rules to have Victoria stand for you. But in all seriousness the look is 100% on point and I really enjoyed how well you looked like her. The voice was very you and not Posh which broke the fantasy a bit. You did have so many good moments and I think the best one was the kitkat bit where shes sneaking bites, and I think if you had taken it a step further and gotten caught and spit it up, that would have been a riot. I think you were at the edge of the jokes going from funny to hysterical for most of the jokes and I wish you had pushed it over the edge. Over all good job this week!
Phoebe St. Jefferson | Abby Lee Miller
Wow I Made it to snatch game. Give it up for the comedy queens who flop at every comedy challenge! -huge applause- HOPEFULLY this video isnt as cringe as the infomercial one. I think I did a pretty good job portraying one of the meanest ladies in reality TV.
I chose Abby Lee no for her looks, but for her attitude in life. She is everything I want to be when I grow up. Delusional, fat and serving 2 years in prison for fraud. My biggest challenge was making myself the same size as abby. The judges did say to pick someone you could physically resemble and clearly I can’t read. For the weight I tucked in blackets and socks under a shirt to make myself more lumpy. For the hair I used rolled up socks to make a big bump, and then made her iconic side swept bangs. I dressed in as much black as I could and as always for abby added a colorful scarf. For characterization, I tried to look as old and bitter as possible, and I always had at least 2 sour patch kids in my mouth. I hope you guys enjoy my new found mean streak.
Lila: It feels, to me, that there’s a lack of something here. I don’t know, it feels like you’ve had a bad week or something and your work shows it. You aren’t really connecting as Abby Lee Miller, but you have the look of her down, big baggy jumper, her nasolabial creases, the hair, ehhh, not so much, be careful on that part. It just came across as angry gym teacher mainly. You cracked several times, you stammered quite a bit through your snatch game, and there was a few elements that were good, like the beginning with the wall, I got that immediately, and that was kind of it. I get that, we’re one in the same; we can’t play a celebrity parody of a character, we’re more attuned to real life people because real life people have those quirks, whereas some celebrities don’t have that innate relatability. Anyways, it was an okay try this week, Phoebe.
Gluttoni: Phoebe, I thought this challenge could have been yours for the taking if I’m honest. Because I know you to be very humorous and bubbly but somehow I feel like your wit was just a bit lost in the sauce. Abby Lee for me is very rarely funny on TV because she’s more stern than she is comical and I don’t think she may have been the best choice of what you should have done. I loved the pyramid aspect but I thought she always starts from the bottom but that’s a minor detail. I thought that helped lighten up this video for me a bit. The body padding and inflections were very on point. I just thought this could have been pushed just a tad farther in order for it to really be a stand out amongst the pack. How’s your head? Because bitch it needs to be in the game.
Letha: Phoebe, when picking someone like Abby Lee Miller, I needed more personality. You had some sassy moments, but you cracked and lost the character and came across as just generally bitchy, which can get a bit boring. I feel like if you had had better editing, it could have helped you make things a bit snappier and more professional. The look is pretty much there, you could have done arguably less liner, but hey, it's drag. I feel like, and this is just my personal opinion, that you're very quirky, maybe a bit awkward, and are at your funniest when you are just being yourself. I think if you had maybe picked a celeb more along those lines, it might have worked better, as I feel you stretched yourself a little too far with this impersonation. All in all, it's just alright for me.
Toni: SHE HAD A SOURPATCH KID IN EVERYQUESTION. So there were parts of this that were good and parts that were bad. The good is the look, looking at you I can instantly tell who you are there are just a few things i would fix, like lighter eyeliner and making sure you don’t get super muddy! On the content of your video I felt that it was lacking a lot, it started out good with the pyramid and kinda dwindled with you breaking character and making anne frank jokes???? I think if you had focused more on making it like you were training us (the viewers) it would have turned out a lot better!
Sugar Monroe | Nikkie De Jager
Hiiiiieeeeee judges! This week for snatch game I decided to do NikkieTutorials because, when I started drag, she was my go to for makeup! So I decided to pay homage to her. From the smokey halo eye to the blinding highlight. She’s also known for wearing pajamas pants while filming so I did too. The cat ears are also her fave accessory. :3
Lila: Whatever Happened To Jeffree Star? Hi Sugar! I liked your Snatch Game, it was sub-par as far as the look and performance went. You had some solid moments parodying Nikkie and I loved your tongue and cheek attitude to her life and stuff, really cute look, obviously she’s only done two hyper-draggy looks so I mean, I expected this. Personally, I felt like I was watching a trailer when your snatch game was happening - nitpick, chill with the transitional shots! A quick jump cut to the question would’ve done better. It did get a little like Housewives-catchphrasey, how quick you answered some of your questions, if you structured it out to be a little bit more like funny funny funny, like your video was so short, you could’ve done like a mini Hits and Oh God No’s in the middle of it, like being like “on my Oh God No’s list, (a read of someone or something)” and like editing is such a key to make things funny too, stopping the music to make a joke land is a good key for editing. (P.S. - I think this highlighter technique looks amazing, practice on your actual mug a little too!) Overall, you did a good job this week!
Gluttoni: This was also another spot on intelligent choice to do Nikki, Sugar. I adore Nikki because she's honestly such a talent and a dork. While I can see where you were going, you just didn’t put in a lot of momentum that I needed for one of my personal favorite beauty gurus. You had the beauty influencer lingo down with the discount codes and stuff but your jokes were just a little one note and flat for me. Where is blending out your foundation with a bell pepper or boiled egg? Where are the links to your vlogs for you at a random beauty con? This just needed a little more quirkiness to take the likeness of Nikki up a bit because I was getting more Sugar than anything. The blonde wig, cat ears and pajama pants were very on brand for what you were trying to sell. Solid work this week but I know you got something bigger and better in store for us.Chat Conversation End
Letha: Sugar, this look is cute and I knew who you were doing right away. The fashion picks were a choice and your explanation makes sense (and honestly we all do the same when filming, let's be real). The makeup makes a lot of sense for Nikkie, and the overblown highlight is very her. As for the VIDEOOO, I felt it was quite short? I'm all for being brief but I feel like you could have let the jokes develop and breathe more, rather than just rushing on to the next one. I had a few chuckles throughout, and the whole thing was very tongue in cheek, which was good. I know we talked about the voice, and I wasn't too pleased that there wasn't much of a change to your normal voice. You're VERY Southern, and I just didn't get much Nikkie in that regard. The editing was okay, a bit abrupt at places, but the green screen work was a nice touch. All in all, there were some places for improvement, but not bad!
Toni: Lets start with the good I think the look was and you really got it!! My issue comes from the video or lack there of. The character just wasn’t there other than look, because it was just all sugar and It was so bland which was a dissapointment. I think if you had included some of her gasps and screaming from some of her challenge videos it would have been a lot better. The time also is a huge factor because there was maybe 45 seconds of you on the scene and didn’t give you much time to build the character.

Main Challenge #9 - Roleplay is more fun with a second player!
This week we challenged our fabulous five by giving them RPG classes to make looks off of, but the twist is, they also had to make over a partner. Lets see how the did!
Analyse Thropic & Aquaphina Dijon | Bard & Barbarian
The only DMs that we’re used to are the ones that Toni keeps trynna slide into, but for this challenge, myself and my challenge partner became Dungeon Masters. I made over my fraternity brother/drag sister, Jon/Aquaphina. She became the barbarian, and I took on the role of the bard. Creating the looks was a lot of fun this week and I got to work on a lot of new skills in terms of costuming. Painting someone else was also a new experience for me, and I learned how hard it is to do someone’s makeup that keeps falling asleep while sitting there.
For the barbarian look, we went with a glitzy warrior barbarian, complete with rhinestoned ax. For my bard, I decided to portray the character as a half-elf, as many bards are half-elf instead of human. We used the color blue to tie the two looks and mugs together, because although it wasn’t a requirement, we wanted the two looks to belong together, like two members in a raid party.
Lila: Good Morrow, and Good Day! These are really adorable looks and you’re certainly upping your costuming prowess a lot more as the competition progresses. I’ll go from you to Aquaphina starting with positives and negatives. For you, your makeup here is really cute and I’m loving your prosthetic ears to death, really ties the look of the bard together. I actually enjoy this hair (the braiding really sells it and the textures do too) and your flower crown, and from the waist up, plus your weapon, really top notch in terms of progression in this competition, week by week there’s been a growth to you that just keeps getting better and better, and certainly you’ve came back from last week and rose to the challenge. Aquafina’s look is by far excellent in execution as this example of your costuming prowess - really, its definitive in how a barbarian would dress, it has exciting elements of leather and fur, the colour palette for hair and armour works well and the blue stoning breaks up the brown a little. But - with that being said, relating to that, there’s way too much brown that you haven’t broken up. If you used a more grey toned fur or even a different shade of brown - and added a lot more of the fur and stones to this, really could’ve upped the ante a lot. I would’ve also had a bit more eyeliner on the blue warpaint look, and cleaned up the lines a lot more with a lighter concealer. With your look, the dress silhouette isn’t really pressed out as much as you could - I thought you ripped the fabric because of the crease hitting the light in the photo. My main concern is your choices in colour, you sometimes have to take a step back and say “okay, there’s too much blue on me and too much brown on her, I need these to still have some sort of connotation towards one another” and really don’t be afraid to play with different shades of colours, because colour story really makes or breaks concepts like this. Overall, this was really exciting to see finalized and I hope you’re very proud of what you’ve produced!
Gluttoni: Whew! Anal, you’ve really outdone yourself for me personally this week. You look so unbelievably stunning and whimsical. This is probably my favorite look of yours yet. I could easily tell your class from this look and to be honest you look so otherworldly. I really don’t have much to critique you on regarding the look because you really killed that aspect. Your lipsync was also my favorite this week as well. I have barbarians and other brutish looking classes and I think you definitely made your partner look badass and like she’s smash your skull in with a club. I love the juxtaposition of you two. I must admit I was a bit afraid of how your makeup would translate on a smaller face than yours but I really think Aquaphina looks quite beautiful and stoic looking. I enjoy the styling of you both and I’d definitely pick either of you as me avatar. Really good work Analyse!
Letha: can you please put my aesthetic back where you found it? I love the hair on your look, and the ears are cute. The flower crown is my tea, obviously. I really like the smokiness of the eyes, but I'm not loving the lips- the lines are a bit sloppy. Also the nose highlight is a bit TOO shiny for my taste, especially considering it's not really as bright anywhere else. The weapons and nails are so cute, and I'm actually not mad at the outfit. It does make you look a bit... fuller figured, BUT it makes sense with the very earthy/folky aesthetic you're giving. Your partner's outfit is great as well. I wish the fur was a bit more prevalent throughout the look (perhaps a cloak, or something on the arm?), but I like the leather and stones. I really enjoy the hair a LOT, there's such interesting shapes and textures. I like what you were going for on the face with the woad paint, but it's a bit too neat, you want more of an organic spear type feel, maybe even with some drips. The wound is a bit of a throwaway, I think doing some dirt/scuffs would have been a bit better. The lip is a bit odd, the shape is okay but it is so SHINY that I'm a bit thrown. Watch the lashes as well, they're placed a bit far out and cause the eye to look a bit downturned. All in all though, I still really enjoy these looks, great job!
Toni: Lets start with your partner this week shall we? I really like her loo, it reads very gladiator and i think it looks really powerful. I think had you made the leather look worn and maybe a rip or two it could have added a lot. I think the biggest miss for me this week is theres a bit of lack of fur which really would have added an extra level to sell your character. Maybe as a small caplet, i think ti would have been really cool. Onto her makeup it seems very…. Sharp. Its not bad but the blue line looks too shapely and pretty and less like war paint, so I think making a bit messier maybe with a few drips to amp up the edge factor. I don’t like the ...scar????? Or is that more war point??? The red thing is hard to tell what it is but either way i’m not a fan of it at all and think it would have been better without it. The lips are really uneven and and the way you’ve highlighted it makes them look wet and it really shatters the illusion of the drawn on lips. I really like the wig for this look, i wish there was a bit volume right onn the top or even like a little fur as a hat could have worked. Over all this look is really well done. Onto your look, i really love this because you’ve added the race aspect to the character because thats VERY rpg and really fun. You’re giving me this little goofy but loveable elf woman whos just trying to get to woodstock to party, and I’m about it. From the bust up this look is absolutely stunning, but down from the bust it looks a little frumpy. A lot of it comes from where you placed the skirt band. You placed it too high on you and with your body shape it really is unflattering. I think if you had a hoop skirt under it or started the skirt lower on your body (at your waist or hops) it would have really made it seemed a lot more polished because the fabric is beautiful. Your head shots are absolutely beautiful, i love the way your nose looks for this character, I love the ears, and the lips. On the eyes and the face I think ti comes off as a bit muddy, so I think we need to work with you to see what you’re doing so we can correct it. I think the hair is absolutely beautiful and the crown is beautiful.
Laveau: Lovely job this week! I really enjoy all of the thought and hard work that seems to have went into the details of these looks. I also love how you tied in the blue to make your characters part of the same party. Clever idea. Now, let's go from head to toe and look at each part. I love the flower crown. Very Letha. I like the concept behind the hair, but it looks kind of unfinished. Using a comb and some hairspray could really help to make that messy teased hair look more like a choice and less like a cop out. I like the barbarian hair a bit more except for the harsh line at the wig line. On to the makeup. The bard makeup looks a bit muddy and dark in some places. For your eye makeup make sure you're using a small enough brush when blending to get a nice gradient. I like the shapes of your face makeup, I just think your contour is a bit dark for your skin tone. The barbarian makeup looks great! I like how her contour and blush are blended a lot better so good job on that. When overdrawing your lips, be sure to use a darker color for the lip line and a very sharp lip liner when doing so. It gives definition to the lips and makes them look more realistic. The barbarian look is absolutely fantastic. I think you could've incorporated more blue into the outfit so that it wasn't just brown all over, but I absolutely love it. The bard look is also quite good. The only think I would tell you to watch out for in the future is anything looking unfinished. The skirt has a very clear crease on it that could have been steamed or ironed out before taking your pictures so be sure to look at everything from top to bottom for anything like that in the future. Anyway, fantastic job this week, and congratulations on making it this far in the competition! I know you're probably tired but the finale is around the corner so stay strong and keep making magic!
Avana Noir & Keithia Noir | Mage & Druid
In a far far away land, a frost mage set out on a quest to find a Druid to help her defeat the an evil that had been bestowed onto the Mage's land. They were a great duo with the mage's deadly ice magic and the Druids powerful healing spells and spells of the forces of nature. They both ended up defeating the evil that corrupted the Mage's Land and restored the Golden Star that glowed brightly for eons to come! Hello Judges! AND AAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH let me tell y'all this was such a fun challenge and really challenged my skills. So I got Mage and Druid for my lewks and bitch this was harder than i thought! So for my druid outfit and well really both of my lewks, I really wanted to go for this world of warcraft meets Wizard101 meets runescape circa 2010. I wanted to go for the goddess sequel vibe of the Druid outfit just very nature..y? and beautiful. and for my second outfit..OKAY so let me tell yall now this was backup for my Mage Look cause originally it was going to have HUGE icicle pieces and the dress was going to be hand painted and ect, but there some major complications so I had to settle with the lewk, I DO still believe it fits the challenge. I decided to go for a like a a long and flowy look, and create a forhead piece that was suppose to represent like icicles and such. I also created both of the weapons that you see here, both staffs because I feel like thats what both of them would use to like channel their magic and it works beautifully IMO. They were both made from scratch and I used spraypaint, foam, cardboard , actual paint, twine, leaves, Styrofoam. For my partners makeup , I wanted to give them Fawn Makeup but with like a touch of typical Avana makeup , which again IMO it looks pretty good for my first time painting someone. It was pretty simple trying to paint my bestie because we have a similar face shape...round, so that was great! Overall this was such a bomb . com challenge ! Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy my looks, thank you !
Lila: Thank you for logging in! These looks have their positives and their negatives, and I’ll go from you to Keithia starting with the two respectively. You have a stunning face this week and I believe that you should go back and look at your makeups from past week to see how amazing your growth has been this competition, extremely stunning. There’s such a strong colour story here that ties together what you’re going for and it makes me so happy. I have elements of this concept that I love a lot, your cloak, staff and choice of wig this week are this exception. Your choice in hand painting designs was a great choice too.Keithia from the bust up is serving LOOKS. The construction is giving me so much life and I commend her confidence to wear her tiddies out for your look. Her makeup is adorable and honestly ties the whole look together, and it was a great choice to match the headpiece with her tiddy holder. The staff for her, brilliant - which is where I kind of started to look at you and notice that you put your friend together really well, and it seemed like you had almost 1 hour to get yourself together really. Your dress would’ve benefitted from a similar strapped dress you wore last week, and it would’ve worked extremely well if you had some billowed sleeves. I am clocking some tape on your head that is holding like, hot glue strips or something? I wish you had one a sort of circlet rather than that, it would’ve connoted magician a little bit better. I’m clocking your fingers too, girl. Wear nails - you’re in the top 5 now and it’s gonna get tougher and tougher from the onset out. When you do skirts like with Keithia, even a belt would disguise the fact there isn’t a waistband - and You could’ve opened the skirt up with a slit just to give it that RPG feeling to it. For me, I hope you do try harder, but I commend you for making someone over because it’s such a difficult thing to do.
Gluttoni: Omg Frozen Part 2! You looking so glamorous lately Avana! Who is this girl? Whatever fire you have under your ass, please keep it coming about you are slaying. That being said...this is fully realized concept that favored you and your pretty partner. I can tell you really grasped onto this challenge fondly because you definitely got the gaymer avatar vibes downpacked. Who doesn’t like the motif of winter versus spring? Although it’s not the most inventive angle to use, I think you both suit your class and look as if you came out of the same videogame. Your makeup is vastly improving although I’m still waiting to see some bomb fucking eyebrows from you. The Druid is very cute and looks very sirene. You look like you own everything Avana and I’m living for that. My only qualm is that it feels like something is missing that I can’t quite place which at this stage in the game may not be the best. Overall gorgeous work and just know we see the growth.
Letha: Your looks are both very cute this week. I really have similar crits for both. I really enjoy all of the details, including the weapons (the mage staff is so cool looking!), but the body shape gets a bit lost in the fabric. I like the braids for the druid look, but the white wig on the mage is a bit flat and boring. The makeup on both of you is great, I do feel like the druid one was a bit better applied, because she is STUNNING, it's so my aesthetic. One note on the fawn nose contour, it could be a bit wider, because it'd be a bit more deer inspired. On your makeup, it oxidized a bit orange, so watch out for that, but I like the shapes on the eyes/lips. One note though, don't pose with your hands then not wear nails!
Toni: Lets start with your partner shall we? You really hooked her up this week because I think she is stunning! Her makeup is so beautiful and creative, it’s really outside of the box for you and I really like it. The hair is simple and could have had more flowers braided in but I really think it works, just a bit simple. I think the staff is really pretty and the colors, length, and style really all make sense. I think you could have a little more pattern work on the skirt, and even add more stones to it to really make it shine and sparkle. I think the bra is the interest piece for this look because it clearly took a lot of time to make and that shows and is really beautiful. I really like this look. Your look on the other hand I think falls a bit flat in comparison. The dress is really shapeless and kinda looks like it doesnt fit. I think for the bust had you sewn in elastic it would have really hellped the top. For the skirt i love the blue and purple parts, but the white parts aren’t very well done and come off as mess. I think had you done it more as draping or more structured (in one direction or the other) it would have been really improved. The cape is beautiful as well as the staff, I think that they both make sense for the look, i wish there was more accent stones on them to add a little glam to them. Onto the shoulders up I like the wig, it could have been brushed out a bit to make it a little more voluminous. I think your biggest issue makeup wise is that your eyes went up and while thats good, they also should have gone out to the sides as well so its a lifting and angular shape. It would have really rounded out your face in a nice way. Over all good job.
Laveau: Cmon Ice Mage! I Love that you deviated from the norm and instead of doing a typical old dark mage look you went with something a bit more icy. The Druid fawn is also a cute concept. Let's go head to toe! Is there something on your head because if so it is so small that I can barely even tell that it was there. I don't really understand the use of purple in the eyeshadow because every other part of the look is blue. I think the addition of browse would help to shape your eye make up so that it doesn't get too out of control. Your eyes kind of get lost in your eye makeup as it is. As far as the rest of the look, be careful next time to make sure that your entire look looks finished there are quite a few aspects of your submission of that look incomplete. The Cape seems to be cut haphazardly and could use some sort of ribbon or him around the edge to make it look finished. The staff is quite clearly cardboard and could have been topped with some sort of craft foam or cardstock or anything else to make it look less like cardboard. Also, nails really complete a drag look to me because the hands look so bare without them. I like the fawn make up better, but the look still seems unfinished. The paint on the skirt looks messy and simple things like the black of the bra being covered could have really taken this look to the next level. Moving forward in he competition, be sure to finalize every look and look at everything with the eye of a judge to anticipate what they're going to say. Congratulations on making it this far in the competition and good luck as you continue! Keep making magic!
Lexi Lamour & Ma’Cherie Lamour | Knight and Rogue
You roll the dice and move your high dexterity and strength knight into the grassy opening. She looks around surveying the surrounding. Unknown to her....a rogue with high intelligence and hide and move silently bonuses lurks in the foliage studying her every move. Thankfully your knight has a luck bonus and as the rogue is about to use her specialty sneak attack a bird cries from the trees causing the knight to turn and spot the rogue. Drawing her sword she clashes with the rogue's weapons. Who will win this battle? Roll the dice to find out! Hello, Judges! Meet Sonny....I mean my drag baby, Ma'Cherie Lamour. I was so happy about this challenge because I knew we had a wide range of reference to pull from and could get very creative with it. I know I had originally pitched a concept of a black knight. But with my rogue look being so dark....I wanted there to be contrast. So I decided to play on a classic good against evil, light against dark look. With my rogue being dark, hooded, and brooding and my knight being polished, pristine, and bright. For the knight look I took inspirations of pics Toni sent while still keeping the drag aspect and doing what I feel Lexi would portray as a knight. I remember for last week's mini Lila said a word she would use to describe Lexi is powerful and thats what I wanted to bring out in this. Full on armor with rhinestones detailing and acting as the rivets. For the rogue look I went a little more classic and kept it very much of the RPG style. Hooded and capped. Very dark. Lots of belts, leather, harnesses and wraps. All of the aspects of the costumes were hand made and personally fabricated and all of the armor was fully functional...the shoulders down to the wrists were all connected and hinged and moved (only things not made jewelry, my belt, the rogue belts/harnesses, and the shoes and weapons of course...the sword is a REAL sword btw and heavy as hell! lol). For the transformation...I was really lucky that Sonny/Ondi(My Ma'Cherie) agreed to help me! As someone who does drag herself it wasn't as stressful I think it would've been painting someone who had never done drag before. It was very relaxed. And on top of the fact that we went through this in Dessie's together Ondi really knows how much this means to me and really sold her part as the rogue. It was also helpful that she had all of her own makeup in her own colors so we knew what would work well for her. Ultimately, I'm incredibly happy with the level and amount of craftsmanship I did this week and am in love with these characters.
Lila: Your Crafting Skill has maxed out! Hello, Lexi and Ma’Cherie! You’ll be getting positives and negatives respectively this week! For me, Lexi, you have the most complex garment this week. Visually stunning and really captures that essence of what a Knight is and what we wanted to see from the make overs. You’ve finally got those lips down to a T and I can’t deal with the fact that your armour pieces are cardboard with, it looks like, push pins or rhinestones as the bolts on it? Really alluring concept. I love the sword, adds an element of realism to the piece. Ma’Cherie for me is beautiful and the Halsey vibe I get is stellar. I’m glad that you went for this sleek silhouette for this concept as it captures the more rogue class than a skirt would (unless, of course, there was a reveal) The cape and hood attachment is gorgeous and honestly I love that you’ve played with some more conventional (silhouette) and unconventional (latex choker) in this concept, really keep this concept for yourself for later perhaps. I do unfortunately have some negatives to kind of pick out. You stand alone as a kind of character that I can see in one of the many western RPGs out there, Ma’Cherie doesn’t, I think it’s down to design, you’ve got these extravagant pieces on that really sell you, Ma’Cherie is leaning towards a more basic character archetype. A quick fix would’ve been either to darken the makeup up a little more, I’m talking like raccoon it up around the eyes, and subtract the brown leather and in that place add more black, perhaps a lot of purple rhinestones and maybe (get tacky) and put some nails on the gloves too. That would’ve excelled the look a lot more. For me too, your makeups are both on the beige side, if you didn’t have a red lip on, I’d be screaming at your for more colour, but because Ma’Cherie hasn’t, more colour. Also; I’ve started to notice this - going forward, you need to firstly believe in yourself no matter what you get during the challenge, because this is stunning and you have to remind yourself that on the first day you get your challenge category that you are capable of stunning work, and secondly, we’re going into the last weeks of this competition, truly have fun with it. You know as much as I do that once you get this far you’ll be ready to push forward and destroy anyone who stands in your way - really, just have fun! Be proud of your work, because so far, it’s been fun to see you deliver and truly you’ve delivered this week nonetheless!
Gluttoni: I don’t know where to start because I’m definitely blown away Lexi! You are giving me the most fem, pussy power, She-Ra T’s and I am LIVING. I don’t know where the fuck you got full fabricated armor from but bitch if I don’t see you at some sort of Con I will be upset. You look so strong and commanding and since I love strong women, I’m obsessed! Meanwhile you partner looks like a cute ass dark pixie turned rogue. I’d be afraid to be in the middle of a battle between you two. I honestly can’t find anything wrong with this submission.I love that both of makeup jobs are very clean and really framed the character’s classes just through facial expressions. The styling on both looks are bomb. The straight brow on the rogue is my religion henny. Also if that’s a good Rosemary’s Baby wig, I claim it as mine. Thank you. Phenomenal work Lexi, keep the good shit coming.
Letha: Lexi these are such cool looks!!! The knight one is my particular fave, the armor and sword is a GREAT touch, I love how much work went in to them and they're damn amazing. The mug is great too, I'm not sure if it was intentional but the brow is more... severe? And makes the look more masculine which totally makes sense with the knight class. Love the lip shape as well. As for your partner's look, I feel that it's good, but I feel it's the weaker of the two looks. Going nearly all black with the look makes sense for a rogue in a practical sense, but I think adding something like the purple from the cape would have helped add a bit more interest. The makeup is pretty good, I would've cleaned up the inside edge of the lips a bit more, but I love the brow a lot. I really like the hairstyle, but I would have brushed it and sprayed it to make it neater, because the style is so simple. That being said, these are both great looks, and the composite photo is stunning, great job this week!
Toni: Lets start with your partner this week. I think that she is fierce and powerful. I really love the outfit, it comes of as rouge and it looks well. I love the hint of purple in the hood and I wish that was carried more into the outfit because it does come off as a bit monotone but its not like as huge thing. You also could have used the silver that you used in the metal as a accent color. The wig is really nice, not super exciting, but ti makes sense with the character. I really love the face and more pinpoint the eyes. They are beautiful but striking, and the way the brows were done helps highlight them.I think the biggest thing for me on this makeup is the black lips aren’t all the way, like you can see some of their natural lips and that needed to be touched up. Over all good look! Onto yours, i know how hard armour can be and you did really amazing because its astonishing!!! I think it looks really well done and this is at comiccon level, really amazing!! I love the color tones you chose and I really like the rhinestones. I think you could have done a few more stones on the sword but overall I really like it. Onto the wig again its really good but not super exciting, but the crown was a really nice touch. The makeup this week is stunning, I really love the eyes and the brows, as well as the red lip (thank you so much for the matte and fixing the shape this week they look amazing) because it adds some color to your face. Over all good job this week.
Laveau: Slain. Damn near everything about this knight look is right. I'm literally looking for things to critique and there aren't many. Just a few things: I think it's weird that your knight has on a crown and that it isn't as in embellished as the rest of your outfit. It makes it look like an afterthought. Also, The handle of your sword doesn't go with the rest of this incredibly cohesive look so it looks like a mistake. Other than that, every aspect of your knight looks finished and polished. Great attention to detail. As as far as makeup goes, I will say that there are a few things that could be tweaked. The contour on one side of your face looks a little bit more blended or than the other and your eyes look a tad bit uneven but we all know how hard it is to get things to be symmetrical on both sides of the face. I'm literally nitpicking at this point because there really isn't that much to say but I still want to give you some sort of critique as you get closer to the finale. ONDI I LOVE YOUR WORK! I will say that after seeing your night look, your rogue look looks a bit less involved. I would've like to see some rhinestones or some sort of glitz and glam to take it to the same level that I feel like your knight was on. I understand that rogues aren't supposed to be shiny but this is drag so I would've like to see a bit more glamour. Also as far as her makeup goes, you did a great job but watch out for that lip line and next time add a light eyeshadow over the part of her brow coverage where you can see hair and it'll disappear! Lastly, make sure that your pictures are in focus and WEAR NAILS! You look too good to be missing nails, mawma. Other than that, you are doing a great job. You are undeniably on the fast track to the finale and I can't wait to see what you'll do next. Great job. Keep making magic! P.S. The characterization in your runway was EVERYTHING.
Sugar Monroe & Blazen Haven | Necromancer & Paladin
Hello peons, I mean, Judges. I welcome you into my lair to view my faithful servant, the Paladin of Misery and myself, the Lipsync Necromancer. I use my dominion over the dead combined with my lip sync abilities and my Mic Staff to slay my foes. After each battle, my devout Paladin heals them with her Holy Light emitting from her shield and leads them back to the slaughter, until their souls cannot go on. Then they belong to me. I keep them as tokens of my victories in glass vials I keep on my side. The Paladin of Misery joins me on my quest in hopes of earning back the soul of her love, who fell at my feet in battle. Once her debt to me is paid, I will return her love’s soul to her. However, what state will she be in? Only time will tell…. Hey Judges! For my makeover challenge, I asked one of my best friends, and TDR alum, Blazen Haven, to be my partner. I decided to give us contrasting looks, paladins being holy knights and necromancers being users of dark magic. Between the beauty of Blazen’s makeup and the horror of mine, I succeeded in that. Now, enjoy my creations and remember, your soul is never safe from the Lipsync Necromancer.
Lila: You have been banned! Reason: Lipsynching Appropriate Words. Just Kidding! Hello to my lovely cycle 8 sisters, I’ll be talking about your positives then your negatives respectively! Sugar, I really love this silhouette and I’m glad that you’ve grown to love it too. This fabric really accentuates everything and the stark colour story is a brilliant choice! Makeup is stunning as per usual, Loving the fascinator of a skull and the coat is to DIE for. You are really coming into your own as a drag queen and I’m really proud to see it every single week since the fears challenge. Blazen has such a stunning face per usual and really you highlighted those features well, I love the wig choice, but that’s where my positives end. I feel like you could’ve done so much more for Blazen’s look - like I’m so upset because Blazen is really such a great queen, I remember her looks being absolutely stunning last cycle and I think you should’ve used that knowledge to your own advantage because it literally looks like those kids you see that wear the cardboard cereal boxes and pretend to be gladiators. You wanna make it look like you both belong together and you look clearly thought out, it’s just that it feels like Blazen was an afterthought. For me, personally, I’m not loving your staff. If you bought an actual microphone or even a cheap child’s toy it would’ve worked even better, the microphone looks like a cross between a beauty blender and a buttplug. You keep peeking over the bar you set each week, but unfortunately this week you let yourself down making someone else over, and I do hope you learn from this challenge!
Gluttoni: Sugar, my sweet! You are going to have a hell of portfolio of bomb photographs by the time this wraps up. You look fantastic. The colors are very somber and Tim Burton-ish and I find that to a very beautiful point of interest of this look but that’s kind of where the interesting choices end for me. I love the makeup but the application and idea could have been more inventive/better applied. This is definitely not to say this bad makeup because I’ve never really seen you look bad but stacked up to the other ladies this is a leotard and face paint. Blazen looks gorgeous per usual and I definitely get what class she’s in. My only qualm is that these looks weren’t pushed quite enough to the scale that I know you can pull out of you especially with what you did last week. Top 3 is over the horizon and I want to see you pushing yourself over the hill of this competition. Amazing job Sugs.
Letha:I really enjoy the story you created for your characters/classes, but I feel as if they're at different levels, if that makes sense. Your necromancer character has much more of a LOOK, and the color scheme is great. The microphone is a cool touch, but I will say I don't love the random skull plonked on your head, I think holding it would have worked a bit better. The hair is cool as well. I think you could have done with a few little bits and bobs (like some little bones) scattered through the hair would have done with a bit more interest. The black or the hair/coat kind of get lost against the backdrop, but it does make for an aesthetic pic. I like the makeup, I wish you would have done something more like the top half of the face being a skull-like mask and the bottom being moe human, as it would have read a bit more necromancer for me personally. ON TO your partner. The makeup, in general, isn't bad, but needs some blending on the edges (crease/lips specifically). The hair is okay, a bit plain, but girl, the outfit. There isn't much going on, but what is going isn't too exciting. The armor could be a bit more fitted, the shield is just okay, but there is NO weapon. I don't mind the skirt, as I think paladins are often a combination of flowing robes and armor, but I just needed MORE here. A circlet and a weapon would have been a step in the right direction. All it all, it's okay for me this week!
Toni: Lets start with Blazen shall we. I was worried when you didn’t give us a sketch for the look that it wouldn’t be as well thought out as the other and it seems that my worries were true. This comes off as very disappointing and almost lazy. The top is shapeless, and I think it would have done better with some more work and details, such as painting lines to show where the metal was put together, or even some stones or shading just to make it interesting, and not look like construction paper. The skirt would have worked perfectly had all the armour pieces been done right, but because of how simple the top is it makes the skirt seem just as simple and boring, I think if you had done something that was floor length and flowers, almost like a chior robe, it would have been more ideal. Also the shield is nice but I see no other form of weapon which really doesn’t make sense because paladins do use magic and physically fight so there could have been any type of sword/hammer/staff just to add something to this look because it’s severely lacking. The makeup is really pretty, i think the way you’ve contoured blazen is really flattering to her face and feminizes her a lot. The wig is nice, not very exciting, it needs a helmet or a head piece, just something to make this look exciting . Onto your look, which I rather enjoy. I think the green is a good accept color onto the black and the body suit is really nice. The symbols are very cute and I think help define your character. The way you took your pictures, in front of a black background really makes the hair and the coat hard to see but I get the idea, so watch for that. The staff and background story for this was confusing to say the least. At first I thought it might have been a smallpox doctor mask on a staff and then what I saw what it was I was confused and a bit let down. I think the makeup is nice but I would have much prefered a uniform across the top half and then a pretty bottom half like we had talked about before, but both sides of the face are well done and very pretty!
Laveau: Love the concept and the story! But let's get into this critique, mawma. I love the use of the green. It looks great for a dark and villainous character and I love how you incorporated it into your makeup. I will say that the amount of black in this look really drowns out all of the details. I love the concept of the half dead half alive nexromancer, but the way that you split the line looks a bit off center and I would have liked to see either a clear line down the middle or more skull makeup on the other side. Also, without the teeth, is it really a skull? I love the bodysuit, but the bottom (around your cooter) looks a bit ill-fitted so be sure to try everything on before filming your submission next time. The potion bottles and the skull are a nice touch but I think, looking at your competition, you need a bit more in order to keep up. I like the staff, but I can see the hot glue lines so be sure to pay close attention to the little details because at this point in the competition it's going to be the details that set each competitor apart. Also, nails. Onto your makeover partner. I like the concept of light and dark, but the paladin looks a bit unfinished. The armor and shield are a little rough around the edges and could have used a little TLC. The makeup looks pretty good but the eye makeup needs some work. When looking at the eyes closed picture, I see three different lines going on. The crease could be more defined and the blue eyeshadow could be blended out gradually into the eyebrow highlight. Make sure to use a small brush and blend from dark to light going upward from the crease. Other than that, congrats on making it to week 9! Keep up the hard work! The finale is around the corner and you are on the right track so keep moving forward and keep making magic!

TDR Cycle 9 Finale - Rags To Riches Ball
Analyse Thropic! Avana Noir! Lexi Lamour! Sugar Monroe! Welcome to our finalists! You’ve managed to escape our Mansion without being suspected as the murderer, managed to put a spin on the phrase “Art Imitates Life”, snatch our attention as always, completed our 2-player Level 9, take to the silver screen, and sell yourselves, literally.
And now it’s time for our grand finale! Everyone’s drag career starts off a little rocky, you scrape a little pile of coins to buy that one dress, a little bit of foundation and your mother’s one non-shimmer lipstick, and what a time to celebrate from once where you came!
Welcome to the Rags to Riches Ball!
As normal you have three categories.
The first of our triptych is your talent category, titled “Unconventional Dollar Store”. You must give us a video, maximum of 5 minutes in length, showcasing your best talents in your best unconventional, dollar store look. We don’t wanna be seeing paper in this, oh no - get crazy, use wicker baskets, plastic toys, you can do any silhouette as long as it showcases your ability to hand craft an outfit by yourself and hold your own in a talent portion of our little finale. Your look shouldn’t have any stitch of fabric seen if you go for your trusty hot gluing method, or, if you want to risk a more challenging design, use things that don’t really have convention as far as fabrics go! Plastic bags, tires from a car, if you can dream it up and make it, the better!
The second of our categories is the Regally Royal Couture, whereby you will be giving us a speech on why you should win Tumblr’s Drag Race Cycle 9 decked out in your best Royal Couture, inspired by some of the greatest female OR male historical figures that have ever graced this world. As long as they have sat on a throne, you can imitate them to the best of your ability! You then have to plead a royal decree, a speech if you will of why you should be the sole winner of Tumblr’s Drag Race Cycle 9! Take the time to reflect on your journey throughout TDR, how you’ve succeeded thus far and how you’ve got what it takes to win this crown!
And finally, your best personal drag. You’ve shown your rags, you’ve shown your riches, now show that you can stand on your own as you must give us drag that best defines you as a queen and how you have grown in this competition. In this look, you will give us a finale lipsync in a maximum of 5 minutes, be it a song or a mix, the choice of lip-sync is free for you to use. As long as the lip-sync screams you, you are good. This is your very last chance to impress us and prove that you should win the crown!
Since this is the finale, we want no typed descriptions of your looks. Each look should be able to stand on its own and we should clearly get what you are going for with it.
Your deadline for the ball is Sunday, May the 7th at 9:00pm EDT. This gives you approximately two weeks to complete every component of this final ball challenge. However, as you finish your looks and videos, please submit them to the blog as soon as you can rather than waiting until the last minute to submit all three. This will help us finish off your last critiques and organize the posts in a timely manner for the finale!
In your finale submissions, you should include
Two headshots of your Unconventional Dollar Store, Regally Royal Couture and Best Personal Drag Look
Two bodyshots, head to toe, of your Unconventional Dollar Store, Regally Royal Couture and Best Personal Drag Look
A runway video for your Unconventional Dollar Store, Regally Royal Couture and Best Personal Drag Look
A 2-5 minute video demonstrating your best talent, filmed in your Unconventional Dollar Store look and uploaded to your personal youtube account
A video filmed in your Regally Royal Couture look describing why you deserve to be crowned the winner of TDR cycle 8, uploaded to your personal youtube account.
A final Lipsync for your Life performance in your Best Personal Drag look to any song or mix of your choice, uploaded to your personal youtube account.
Ladies, condragulations for making it this far once again, and we are so proud of you. For the final time this cycle, don’t fuck it up and may the best woman, win!

Week #9 Mini Challenge | Avana Noir
(Critiques under the cut)
Lila: You certainly how to lipsync (well, most of the words) This was a tough song, and you’re a strong lipsyncher in your own right. The camera pull to the kitchen was quite cute, needs some finesse when you do it because it seems quite clunky and you had me dancing with you. For me, only critique is that even though you had only 2 days to get this lipsync down, you have to have the song on repeat multiple times, look for lyrics and sit at the screen and recite them as best as you can exaggerate because you have that look of lost on your face when you move your mouth and not synch up to the words. This is a really unrelated note, as we are critiquing only your lipsync - your makeup here is stunning and I think you should strive for this every week. Overall, this was fun to watch.
Toni:Hey girl, your song was a bop. I really like that the start was really intimate and it matched the song, i would if you had lowered the energy a bit for the start. When you moved into the kitchen I felt that was a good point to that way you got room for kick up the energy. I think that you were at 90% for the video and I wanted 100% from you because this could be such a power sync and I think with more work you can really make it a star number. Over all good job!
