Hopefully Comprehensive List of All of the Times the Night Cami and Klaus First Met Was Referenced
This might be one of the events most referred to in the entire show.
1x02:
Cami: Right now, I only need good in my life, not someone who’s -
Klaus: (talking about himself) Tragically wounded and damaged by demons he can’t escape.
1x04:
(Klaus has the painting they talked about on display at his house, and is staring at it while talking to Cami)
Cami: No offence, but I’m not sure why you’ve invited me here.
Klaus: (turning) Because I enjoy your company. And because you have the capacity to understand someone of my complexity.
1x22:
Klaus: You had me pegged from the start. A man damaged by his demons and those demons are not dormant; they are hell-bent on killing me, and everything I find beautiful. And you - you are beautiful. Please, just go.
2x22:
(Klaus puts a 100-dollar bill on the bar)
Cami: (laughing) When I first got into town, you handed me one of those. If not for that, it would’ve been someone else standing here right now instead of me.
Klaus: You know, I prefer to see it the other way. If it wasn’t that night, this bar, that hundred dollar bill, it would’ve been Jackson Square, staring at a painting. Or Frenchman Street, listening to jazz. I would have found you.
3x01:
Klaus (to Cami): Keep the gift. I painted it for you.
Cami turns around to find a small impressionist painting on her table, depicting her from behind in a street, listening to music, surrounded by artworks, clearly a reference to the night she met Klaus.
3x08:
The painting Klaus made for Cami referring to the night they made is on display in Jackson Square, as Klaus tries to look for clues for Cami’s whereabouts after Aurora has kidnapped her.
Klaus: (noticing the painting) I gave this to Camille as a gift. (turns it over to find a felt charm alluding to St. Anne, which hints that he must go to St. Anne’s Church).
3x19:
Klaus recreates the night they met inside his mind.
Cami: The painter, the music, the crowd - this is the night we met. You remember every detail. I must have made an impression.
Klaus: You know very well you did.
Cami: (while watching the artist paint) We talked about the artist wanting to control his demons. Do you think he ever did?
Klaus: Some demons will not be tamed.
3x21:
Before Cami’s funeral, Klaus is seen standing in front of the painting they discussed on their first night.
And at the end of the episode, after Vincent and co. have destroyed the ancestral plane with Davina’s help, the painting is shown next to Cami’s tomb, meaning Klaus left instructions for the painting to be kept there when her body was interred.
5x13:
Klaus and Caroline are standing in the crowd of the French Quarter, with an artist painting in front of them.
Klaus: When I first came back from Mystic Falls, I met a woman near here and we mused about art.

she paints color word count: ~576 relationships: alkaid mcgrath/little painter tags: character study, angst
He dreams of his death often.
Most people dream of the mundane, or of the everyday lives they lead. They create a colorful mosaic pieced together from their memories… something completely new, yet borrowed.
Alkaid cannot remember the last time he recognized anything in his dreams. And yet, something about them felt so real. So thrilling, yet so terrifying.
He dreams of old cobblestone roads blanketed in snow, glistening in the morning sun, yet terribly cold to the touch. He dreams of blood, of tears, of solitude.
...
So, was this another dream?
Wings of wax melt beneath the sun. The blistering cold of the mountain below does nothing to cool them. Feather by feather, he falls. Plummeting further, and further, and further to the earth below.
Are these the cobblestone roads he dreamt of? The endless winter that nipped at his fingers and gnawed at his heart until it turned numb?
The last thing he sees is his camera, tucked safely away in its case, lying on a blanket of white snow.
He dreams of his death often, but this is different.
No. This is no dream. He is dying.
And he is too tired to be scared.
Maybe this is what his life was destined for. Happily ever after never existed. True happiness was always crushed beneath the churning wheel of life, outlived by the tangible: the real. The stars, and their constellations in the sky. Records of those who lived before him, fortunate enough to have history remember them.
…
Would they find his body? Would anyone care?
And before he can fade into the night, a miracle happens. His wings of wax burn even brighter, melting away the snow beneath him.
He never really believed in the afterlife, or in reincarnation, but what man of science could deny the possibility of being proven wrong?
He hears voices. And suddenly, his hands are so, so warm. His heart thaws.
He meets her, and he feels reborn.
…
Alkaid often found himself pushing the boundaries of his mortal body. Pushing further, and further, and further, just to feel something. To feel free, not unlike the birds in the sky above. Untethered from worldly concerns, or from a life that grew ever so grey and dull.
Where was the color? If he just kept pushing, he could reach the stars that glistened in the night sky. He could reach the auroras that burst with bright blues and greens... or orange sunsets, pink clouds, and golden beams of light. His heart yearned for the verdant, deep green of foliage in summer, of the pink cherry blossoms in spring.
But he wasn’t prepared for his life to find color in her.
Yes, her, who was his savior on the cold mountain that night. Her, who took the time to listen to him, to take interest in him and his life. Her, who found the same joy in the night sky that he did.
He couldn’t stand living in a world that lacked color. No, not anymore. So, he left it.
A new school, a new house, a new life.
The concern of his family was nothing compared to the joy he felt spending just one minute with her.
…
He dreams of his death often, yes, but she paints color.
His newfound love for life, and for her, keep him afloat, far away from the colorless depths that can't be escaped.

The Breakers Music Room —
The MUSIC ROOM, designed by Richard van der Boyen and Allard et Fil, reflects the French Baroque interior the Vanderbilts would have seen in places like the Paris Opera House, and was the setting for family weddings and debutante parties. Gold and silver leaf, blue-grey Campan marble from France, mirrors, and crystal light fixtures combine to make a glittering effect for evening concerts and receptions. The spirit of music and numerous great composers are celebrated in the ceiling painting. This room and furnishings, in addition to those in the Morning Room, were designed and constructed in France then shipped to this location for installation.
————————————————————————
The Breakers Morning Room —
The wall paneling in the MORNING ROOM was designed by Richard van der Boyen, who carved elaborate garlands and figures in the late Renaissance style. Classical mythology and allegories decorate this room, from the painted allegory of the four seasons on the ceiling, to the Muses who appear in the corners of the room, painted on platinum leaf panels.
The room also displays portraits of Cornelius Vanderbilt II by the preeminent American portrait painter, John Singer Sargent, and the Count Laszlo Széchényi and Countess Gladys Széchényi, by the Hungarian artist Philip Alexius De László. Countess Széchényi was born Gladys Vanderbilt, the youngest of Cornelius and Alice's children. In 1908, Gladys married Count Laszlo Széchényi, a member of Hungary's premier aristocratic family and a minister to the Court of St. James in London and, later, to the United States.
When her mother Alice passed away in 1934, Countess Széchényi inherited The Breakers. In 1948, to raise funds for the Preservation Society's restoration of Hunter House, Countess Széchényi opened The Breakers to the public for tours. That same year, she leased The Breakers to the Preservation Society for $1.00 a year and continued to fund the maintenance of the house. The Preservation Society purchased The Breakers in 1972 for approximately $400,000. As an early member and supporter of the Preservation Society, Countess Széchényi made a major contribution to the preservation of Newport's architectural heritage.
——————————————————————————
The Breakers Breakfast / Dining Room —
The BREAKFAST ROOM served as both breakfast room and informal family dining room. The table, which may be extended to seat 16 would have seated the entire family or served as seating for a small, informal dinner or luncheon. One of the premier decorators for America's elite families, Jules Allard et Fils Cules Allard & Sons) of Paris, supplied the Louis XV style furniture for the room and decided on the room's color scheme. The Vanderbilts were surrounded by imagery of the harvest.
Look around to see fruits and vegetables plentifully adorning the walls. The 12 rose-colored stone columns are solid alabaster and draw your eyes upward to the ceiling painting of the goddess Aurora heralding the dawn. The massive chandeliers and wall sconces in the Imperial design are made of French Baccarat crystal, and were piped for gas and wired for electricity at the time the house was built. The crown shaped tops indicate the style, while the rings on the chains were used to adjust the flow of gas.
Allard and Sons of Paris assisted Hunt with furnishings and fixtures, Austro-American sculptor Karl Bitter designed relief sculpture, and Boston architect Ogden Codman decorated the family quarters. The mansion covers nearly an acre of the 13-acre property and has 70 rooms including 48 bedrooms for family and staff. There are 27 fireplaces. It was equipped with electricity – still a novelty in houses during the Gilded Age – as well as gas for lighting.
The Breakers has entertained presidents, royalty and guests from across the world for more than 125 years and today is visited by hundreds of thousands of people each year. It is the flagship of the Newport Mansions and a world-famous iconic image of the City-by-the-Sea. The Breakers was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1994.

The first mural painted by a woman in Mexico was called 'Attack on Rural Teachers.' This is one of seven murals created by painter, poet, musician and writer Aurora Reyes Flores.
A passionate admirer of the Cuban revolution, friend of Frida Kahlo, niece of Don Alfonso Reyes, and leader of the feminist group Las Pavorosas, Aurora was the first female Mexican muralist. She was born in Hidalgo de Parral, Chihuahua, and adored the area she grew up in, where snakes, tarantulas and other animals roamed the desert. She was known as 'La Cachorra' because of her bravery and the brown hair she left free or tied in a thick braid on top of her head.
At eighteen she became pregnant and entered the teaching profession in 1927. She also began writing poetry. The first poem she published was 'Man of Mexico,' in 1948:
[...] Something dark has passed through the sky of Mexico.
The earth is wounded
And on the lips of the wind
The sharp edge of ancient prophecy whistles
She turned her attention to the secular voice of the stone gods, raised the word from its cage of verse and made it an incantation, and a spell, a vehicle for solidarity in action.
"Aurora was the perfume of an angry magnolia, rebellious petals raised in arms. In her poetry she was a flower full of rage," said Roberto López Moreno.
"In her poetry, she goes out of her way to look at the world. She does not remain in self-pity, she goes to the light, goes down the roots to reconnect with the history of a people, of which she is painful clay; a pain that disputes its space in the cosmos already captured by our ancestors, captured in the stone and in the hieroglyph."
In La Mascara Desnuda [the Naked Mask], she says:
"[....] I will dress my death in yellow
I will decorate its foot with bells
And I will crown it with forget-me-nots"
When she died, Aurora's ashes were buried in the roots of a magnolia that she had planted many years before in the garden of her house in Coyoacan, in Mexico City, on Xochicaltitla Street. On the trunk of the magnolia, her son, the actor Hector Godoy, had a metal plaque placed with some verses that Aurora had written to that tree.

❝ The role of the lover is exactly the same as the role of the artist. If I love you, I must make you aware of the things you do not see. ❞
B A S I C S –
Name: Blaze Roderick Knowles. Nicknames: N/A. Birthday: September 28, 1974. Pronouns: He/Him. Gender/Sex: Cis male. Sexuality: Bisexual. Occupation: Freelance celebrity interior constructor/designer, former HGTV show host.
P E R S O N A L I T Y —
+ Gracious, adventurous, steadfast. - Avoidant, neglectful, dishonest. He's giving toned down Johnny Knoxville for HGTV, if that makes sense. He's a lover at heart and has always tried to support everyone, enjoying humanity for what it is and the time on Earth that he has. Lowkey kind of spiritual but also hates God if God is real. Unfortunately can charm your pants off, but he's a one-woman-at-a-time man and for the last few years he hasn't even had the heart for sex or romance.
A R R I V A L — ( SPRING 2021 )
Moved into his Aurora Bay Drive house officially in the spring of 2021, although neighbors may have noticed his infrequent presence and the sound of construction for the four years previous.
E X T R A B I T S —
– His catchphrase on Blazin Famous was, jokingly, "and that's the power of the flame." Very ridiculous energy. – Blaze has suffered a range of injuries, including a broken femur, two broken fingers (each pinky one time), a broken foot, several sprains and fractures, four concussions, a chipped tooth (not including the one he chipped in highschool), and various cuts and scrapes at the hand of his job. He loves his scars, and he loves flirting with nurses. – Although his vigorous job always kept him a degree of fit, he's very dedicated to working out, especially as he ages. He enjoys every ounce of his working body that he has. – The dude's sweet tooth is ridiculous. He always has several boxes of Little Debbies on hand - mainly Swiss Rolls and Honey Buns.
C O N N E C T I O N S —
Xavier Matthews: client. Contacted to transform a cabin into a studio for his wife.
B A C K G R O U N D —
tw: illness/death, divorce, dui/drug use - grew up in michigan - honestly had a very chill childhood. his parents were normal and loved each other deeply. his mother had an ex-husband before blaze's father, but they were on good terms and had no children together to fight about. a positive view of love and multiple wives truly set blaze up for a lifetime of marriage - has a half brother from his dad's crazy days. he's older, and they don't talk really at all. completely separate lives. - blaze was normal and honestly kind of popular growing up. he was the kind of popular where he didn't act better than everyone, just respected everyone equally and did sports (hockey specifically) - was pretty decent at hockey but only did it to have something to do in high school. he liked having a team and a jersey but knew it would never last beyond college, if high school. - has had a steady string of girlfriends since sixth grade, most with non-toxic endings (although he made the mistake of dating a poor girl who couldn't handle heartbreak and ruined her life. on accident!) generally has not been single for more than a nine months to a year since then. - his father did construction and also enjoyed doing carpentry around the house. he often built things for blaze's mom to make her life easier, as she developed muscular dystrophy when she was around thirty eight. this love of crafting and building plus a child-young adulthood of being his father's second in command left blaze with a lot of skills in making stuff with his hands, as well as an artistic eye. - blaze's mom was a painter and a sculptor and a home chef and a tennis player and anything a non-working woman wanted to do, until her disease caught up with her. the last thing she was ever able to do was paint, and with nowhere near the finesse she once had. her last works are finger paintings
- married his sweetheart right out of high school and then went on to trade school. their connection was fast and hot and destined to burn out quickly. angela's father worked in entertainment and, after the two years of trade school, got blaze a job building sets on a production lot. only a few months after that job started, angela and blaze's marriage began to fall apart; another six months after that, blaze was on to another building job, this time with a divorce under his belt. - after two years of various set-building jobs (and a brief stint doing faceless gay porn), blaze got wind of a developing hgtv show audition for a couple's house flipping show. now, yes, he was recently divorced and did not yet have a girlfriend to speak of, but for determined blaze knowles, that wasn't a problem. he found a background actor working on the same lot, pitched the concept, and then the two walked into the audition room with nothing but a dream and a couple of crossed fingers. - their lies worked and blaze and his "longtime girlfriend" esme scored their show. turns out esme had a history in fashion and that transferred well to design; she also looked hot with a sledgehammer, which helped. through the process of faking an engagement, blaze and esme fell in love for real, and tied the knot after the first season of their show. - seven solid years and ten solid seasons of Do It Dirty came to a screeching halt when esme was arrested for driving under the influence/possession of cocaine. headlines boasted not only of her use, but of her affair; although her sentenced was reduced to a year of jail time, Do It Dirty was cancelled and re-runs were scrubbed from the air. turns out, esme had another boyfriend as well. (it's ok, blaze was cheating too.) at thirty, blaze found himself once again jobless and divorced. - with a fan base under his belt, blaze began doing celebrity appearances on other HGTV shows, and then a stint in the second jackass movie. yes, he did end up breaking his femur, but god was it worth it. this venture opened even more doors; now, three years later, blaze had an idea for a solo show.
- Blazing Famous was blaze's baby. with his odd celebrity connections, he would do a three-episode stretch on whatever his current project was. he'd show every detail of the project, whether it be total room renovation or backyard waterpark design, without mentioning who he was doing the job for. the fans could watch and guess which celebrity's house it was, getting their answer in the final half hour of the arc when blaze would tour his creation with the client. notable celebrities include: johnny knoxville, will smith, megan fox, anne hathaway, and even barack obama. - Blazing Famous was wildly successful and aired from 2007 to 2020, ending solely because blaze wanted to step away from the limelight. - three years into blazing famous' run, blaze met his third wife, rhea. they met at a grocery store in michigan when blaze was visiting his mother's grave and had an instant connection. at 38, blaze was beginning to feel the ache of settling down with someone, and rhea felt right. after only two years of knowing each other, they were married. - rhea had a daughter from a previous marriage who was already 18 by the time blaze came into her life. - rhea and blaze were happily married for five years before rhea asked for a divorce. she also had muscular dystrophy, and knew it would take her life eventually, and she said she didn't want blaze to be saddled as a widow forever. granting her wishes, they divorced, though they stayed a couple until her death a year later. blaze still privately considers himself a widow - although Blazing Saddles never dipped hard in ratings, there was a clear fall-off and less episodes per season in the last three years of the show. - after the show ended, blaze moved out to a home he'd been renovating to be a retirement retreat for him and rhea in aurora bay. he had clients in the area and figured he could always count on their business or at least a good word of mouth to support himself - more out of needing to do something with his time than needing the money.

The Rainbow Survey 🌈
by joybucket
1. What is your favorite color? Black, green, purple. But I like colours in general.
2. What colors do you think look best on you? I have no idea.
3. What colors do you think look worst on you? No idea either.
4. List three bright and colorful things you can see from where you're sitting right now that have at least five different colors in them. Index marks, set of highlighters, set of colourful pens.
5. When was the last time you saw a rainbow in the sky? 🌈 Last week. I like to believe my late kitty Victoria was sitting there, looking at me.
6. Have you ever seen a double rainbow? Yeah, many times. But the one from last week wasn't double.
7. Have you ever looked outside your bedroom window and seen a rainbow? Yeah, even three years ago I still have a picture somewhere.
8. A rainbow is a sign of God's promise to never flood the earth again. Are you thankful for God's promises? I'm not sure if I believe in God or not, but yes, whoever is guarding us from above, I'm thankful.
9. Which of these names do you like best for a girl: Rainbow, Rain, Kaleidoscope (called Kallie for short), Skye, or Promise? Skye is the only name I encountered before, and, to be honest, I'm not really fond of any of these names, but still, I like Skye the best.

15. Which of these careers sounds the most appealing to you: painter, fashion designer, interior decorator, graphic designer, or photographer? Photographer and graphic designer.

They have the possibility that they are just brilliantly. They are very aggressive individuals, for certain thoughts regarding public exercises, nearby legislative issues or social work. His brain, albeit enthusiastic and variable, is positive and solid. They show patterns in writing, workmanship or science. Your calling is by and large connected with these areas. They are effective in correspondence, distributions, books, magazines, and abstract works, as well as little books, pamphlets, papers, and so forth. They can make progress. They care about others and frequently end up being extremely useful. The Investigation
Once upon a time there was very tall detective whose name was Goldilocks and he investigated the three bears on vacation in a house in Dubai. So the tale is not the IIII it appears to be. They never are. He didn’t like being called Goldilocks. It was an offshoot of his business which includes heavy parts sarcasm, irony and mispeech in order to bear the trials of the daily work. All the detectives had nicknames, a female was Boise Boysee, a looker has to suffer. Donald duck, Don for short, lived on the canal. Lambragingee, Lambri, got caught driving a bike to work. They all had their crosses each put the other on. Goldy for short had surfer hair, not slicked back, but fuzzed out like the auroa of the sun, or at least when the sun had an aurora. As you suspect in yer in all tall white dudes he was Dutch, but with some other blood that suggested in the aborigy, but we’re not here to discuss the gene pool. That district was named for the airport and took in the less affluent parts of town, the warehouses, pulperias, lumberyards along the dust banks and the downtown landfills, squatter camps, extending to the base of the towers up and over. They divided that valley into north and south and naturally south for all misanthropes the chumacca lies. This was the way of those explorers not only to the west and southwest but to the globe. Didn’t they say we love the centric part, pretending the globe girl and in the girl well we know the center lies…
He could have been called moonbeam, or sunshine, or starlight, but the goldy thing wasn’t helped by his breaking open the case of the three oops, called oops yes, but also ooks, and they are mighty big bears, or/and they might have been bears, big fat grizzlies that would eat ya be forewarned, which is the offing of the folktales abounding and surrounding these events.
The investigation proceeded first hand, but eventually led to a series of folk tales, street tales emenating in those neighboods among the freeways and tide flats of the toxic plumes of TCE that flowed their merry way west from the old Motoola plants. The tales grew up at the time those plumes were fast flowing and it continues underground much the way the tales about the oops ooks did, changing shape, permutatijgn , perculating, through the aq
Uifers, Ubers of the strata, drifting down to the salt itself. It the tales are toxic so are the plumes and the alumina air, presume, down to the very word faer in the old tongue before the Dutch, in that book besides Goldy’s bed. That ‘s like the tales that Goldy found so much he became a forlift himself, fork-lorist, collector of coyote tales, Hopi legends, Navajo forts along not just rio salado, but north of course and down in the canyons among the brush wees of the rio grande and above that up to the Colorado running cold. I means the tales were that way, some put upon poles, or walls in praty paint, some found in old pamphlets with hints in the old painters of Dutchtown as it was then called, with degrazia untouched, found in the thrifts, touches un approved [add other painters] but westers case more as blue riders than realists. The tales exploded at various points into epiphanies of nonsense and whimsy all which was suitable f for the amnesia of the times which substituted the blast of the sun at 110 for indoor pleasures of freezer rooms and packages of orm meat that stopped the force of crime so many days that still sleepy town of 5 million grew to 10 when all the refugees finished their arrival. They would know nothing of the history of their new solace without such tales as these. Not that Dave, that’s his real name, Dave Hunt, Goldilocks, or Dave Cash, would collect them in any other form that a murder book held closely in the department. Grand juries supposed this and a lot more. Wires and surveillance even more. So we have a lot to tell, not to go on and on about the docket and the process. In that town they take their teenagers for a night in the lockup as a precaution, same as their tales are still painted on buildings, if you can read the symbolism. They are part of the decoration now, licensed by the signage of the city , liegit, people eating eat other under the rubric of nonsense. So read the billboards more closely and look for signs of the revelation.
Police procedure dictates that these things stored in cold cases and archives can only be leaked sourcelessly to the press so a lot of what occurs below is just that, stuff from murder boards and books, interviews, interpretations, ver batium transcripts and the lithe like. How you get these exclusives is part known part not, and if yor’re worried about language, native speakes determine the language, I am a native speaker form the breast therefore I have carte blanc. White socks is a symbol of their innocence. Trade in Body parts is one part of cannibalism. In the mix of truth and fantasy I did review this book cited at the end.Dave was more of a linguist than he let on. He had an anglo saxon dictionary by is bedside and read it to go to sleep.
4/11/18 Wed. Faer Press: “The Old English word above holds inside it many meanings. It is a going, a journey, a way, a journeying, an expedition, a road, a passing, a course, a march, a voyage, a path; it is a place where passage is possible, a thoroughfare, an entrance; it is that in which a journey or voyage is made – a vehicle, vessel, carriage, ship, ark; it is a body of persons who journey, a crew; it can also mean fear, peril, danger, sudden, intense and beautiful. [information gathered from the Bosworth-Toller Anglo-Saxon Dictionary]…This word can conjure others too if you look at it long enough: it could be the just-out-of-sight otherworld of færy; it could be a gathering of festive merriments from afar – a fair, or the gift one would give to another at such an occasion – a fairing…”
