General Info
Name: Solanna Lucis Caelum Nickname: Sol, Anna, Princess, Brat Gender: Female (She/Her) Race: Luciean Age: 18
Appearance
Time Period
Main story is set anytime during the anime Final Fantasy XV: Brotherhood, the main game itself, and all DLC. If you want a more indepth story for how I created her, feel free to look under the cut. She’s much more fleshed out than any of the other characters, but I also took her info from a solo blog I had made for her a while ago. Up for AU’s, bringing her to other shows, or making a new world in general.
Verses
Main - This will follow along with the FFXV game, though under the change that Noctis had a younger sister.
Below is a MUCH more detailed bio for her. This is my baby, and as Noctis’ sister, I wanted her to be as fleshed out as herself.
SEXUALITY: Bisexual and Biromantic ORIGIN: Lucian born and raised CURRENT LOCATION: Unknown, but it is rumored Lestallum NATIONALITY: Insomnian ETHNICITY: Mixed (Caucasian and Mexican) SPOKEN LANGUAGES: Galahdi (brokenly), Lucian (Latin in lore? English in RPs), and bits of Accordon, and Tenebrae. RELIGION: The main god that Solanna prays to is Bahamut because of the tie to her family, and Shiva because of her own beliefs. HEIGHT: 5′4 BODY TYPE: Slender, but muscled. When Insomnia fell, she had already been going through the same training her brother had been, but since she has worked twice as hard to make sure she could take care of herself. EYES: Blue TATTOOS: None, though she has always been interested in getting one. PIERCINGS: Earlobes and belly-button. SOCIAL MEDIA: Of course, she’s a young adult that wants to be kept up on news of the world that has slowly been falling apart. SMOKING: Occasionally DRINKING: Occasionally. DRUGS: Nope ATHLETICS: Solanna has always been a fan of training, unlike Noctis. While she didn’t exceed as well at first, she worked hard to get her stamina up, and to become a better fighter like the rest in her family. She is also particularly fond of swimming. HOBBIES: She loves listening to music and playing games, just like her brother did - something she picked up from the man, of course. When she has enough down time, she is also quite fond of drawing. VIRGIN: It depends on the verse, but more than likely. Though she is a flirt and a tease. FAVORITE DRINK: Cherry Soda FAVORITE FOOD: Donuts FAVORITE MUSIC: Pop music. She likes something with a beat so she can sway to it in the car, or dance to it in her room. CLOTHING STYLE: When she lived in Insomnia, she tended to dress the typical way for royalty her age- flowing dresses for meetings and simple dress otherwise. Now, she tries to blend in more, though she does like clothing and hugs her body and shows her off somewhat. It goes along with her ‘flirty’ personality. UNDERWEAR TYPE: She is one of those girls that has matching bra and panties.
Background ( I added this as a place for her history)
Princess Solanna was born a year and a half after her brother, Noctis, was born. The doctors had been sure that Aulea wouldn’t have been able to carry her to term, not when they found out that the Queen was ill and couldn’t be cured. The Princess was born early, a month premature, when it became clear that her mother wouldn’t last much longer. As such, by the time her original due date came around, she was the daughter of a widowed father and the sister of the future king. Her life, other than Queen Aulae passing away soon after her birth, was actually pretty calm. She wasn’t there when her brother was attacked, and only got to spend a little bit of time in Tenebrea when he was there to recover, her father wanting her to stay at the Capital just in case. When the attack happened, while she didn’t understand, she did know that Regis would hold her closer - tighter - for a while after that. Once Noctis came back though, as good as before if not a little quiet, things went back to normal. She grew up training just as her brother, though she had to work twice as hard with certain things, like hand to hand combat. She did it, though, wanting to prove that she wasn’t weak, that she could take care of herself in the long run. Yet, she knew just like Noctis had Gladio to look after him, she would have Iris once they were both old enough to be titled as such. It was comforting, and it was something that Solanna relished in knowing, in getting to know her future Shield. They became good friends, bonding over their interested and teasing eachother about their crushes. It was when Insomnia fell that everything changed for her, her entire life twisting and turning. When Iris got out, Solanna get saved at the same time, though the news was kept from everyone but the ones that were there when she was taken out of the ruined city. Once they got to Lestallum, they tried to make the Princess blend in, not wanting word to get out that she had survived. At that moment, all the focuses needed to be on keeping her brother safe, and ending this war. Since then, she has been living as a civilian in public, listening to the news and doing what she can while staying hidden in her hotel room, to help where she can. She may not be able to broadcast who she was - not yet - but she was certainly going to use it to her advantage.

"Shield" (Regis to Aulea)
@fragmenthearted | SEND “SHIELD” FOR MY MUSE’S REACTION TO YOURS PLACING THEMSELVES BETWEEN MY MUSE AND DANGER.
To celebrate their first wedding anniversary, King Regis had decided to surprise his wife by taking her for a romantic weekend at Galdin Quay. For the occasion, the place had been privatized especially for the royal couple. Aulea thought it was a bit of a shame to see such a beautiful and empty place. But now that she had married the heir to the Lucis throne, she understood that certain precautions had to be taken for their safety and that the presence of guards posted everywhere could have intimidated tourists.
After enjoying the afternoon at the spa and eating an excellent dinner, the Queen wanted to take a walk on the beach to enjoy the clear weather and lie in the sand and stargaze. She had never had the opportunity to see so much because of Insomnia’s light pollution and she had to admit that it was a real splendor.
But this romantic moment was interrupted by a thumping noise coming from a little further away on the reefs. Aulea turned her gaze away from the sky and her eyes rested on an immense nocturnal creature, an iron giant. She panicked, getting up in a jump when her husband interposed himself between her and the daemon. “D-don’t tell me you’re not going to face him alone, Regis?!”

Finds and Feathers Drabble: Drautos
*throws this on here* Ow, my hands. This is over 2.5k words when it was meant to be maybe 1k but its done now so enjoy it. I hereby blame @oliverslewty @yudu097 and @faeconstellation for this. XDD Look at what got resurrected and merged with Fangs and Feathers verse.
BEHOLD the thing that y’all did the vote for *waggles eyebrows*.
...
-Titus has several reasons to hate the royal family. King Mors pulled back the Wall, which allowed his parents and uncles to be murdered when Niflheim invaded, leaving only him and his older sister alive (and even then, Titus was only alive because of Regis and his sister was only alive because she had moved to Lestallum three years prior). Regis had promised Titus aid and vengeance, but as the years went by, Titus’s homeland was never reclaimed.
-Then there was the Glauca suit.
-Titus had not wanted the thing now sitting under his skin, he had fought every step of the way through his capture and experimentation and their attempts to TURN him, make him betray Lucis in favor of the people who had burned his home.
-If he hadn’t had a sister to go home to, he thinks he would have listened to them.
-If he hadn’t had a sister who Titus had learned was with child right before his capture, he thinks he might have listened anyway, or at least not been as desperately reckless to escape. He would have taken his time to plot a way out, played obedient puppet to lower their guard rather than fighting his way out using the THING they had burrowed under his skin, even if it almost killed him.
-The Crownsguard hadn’t even noticed he was gone, and of course, what the Crownsguard didn’t report, Regis was too busy to notice.
-Worthless king. Spineless king. Selfish lying king who deserved to WAtCh hIs KInGdOm BUrN-
-It was only his sister’s horrified intervention in the height of his vitriol that clued him in on the fact that his thoughts were no longer completely his own. The suit, the armor, the thing that breathed and hungered and hated under his skin was connected to his mind so that he could command it at will, but that connection was two way, and its hate kept trying to bleed over into his own thoughts.
-Titus made a point to twist his spite and direct it at Niflheim whenever his thoughts strayed. True, he might hate the royal line for their failures, but he hated Niflheim MORE. Regis might not be the warrior king Lucis needed but at least he wasn’t the Emperor (at least he was a good man, even if good men made bad kings). On and on his thoughts spun in endless circles, a tug of war between two different kinds of spite and anger in the background of his everyday life that frankly made every day exhausting. It would have been so much easier to let the two thought processes combine and carry him away into a secret, righteous crusade against Lucis. So much easier to claim the power Niflheim had burrowed under his skin.
-He didn’t. Because of his sister. More than her…
-Because of his nephew. Because his nephew had no father figure to speak of (his sister had looked so worried when she told him of her one night stand with a nameless, pretty-eyed stranger that had made her pregnant despite protection) and had been born with fury under his skin, branded into his being just like the birthmarks that stretched across his face and body like jagged scars. SOMEONE had to teach his nephew to control the fury that seemed to have been molded into the boy’s soul from the womb, and Titus was the only one around to do that.
-Then one day when his nephew was seven years old and throwing a tantrum, the apartment shook and his nephew froze in astonishment at the bright, red-amber fire licking over his hands. In the stunned silence that had followed, his nephew had looked up at him with blood red eyes (his nephew’s eyes were washed out blue like his, not red, not RED-) and Titus had one more reason to hate Lucis Caelums.
-He never told Regis. Never dared. Regis was a man who loved children, and even in his blackest moments Titus would never suspect the man of being capable of harming a child, but Regis was married. Married to a wife he adored, a wife who had just recently had a son of her own. The scandal it would cause if Titus’s nephew was known, the strife that would erupt between Regis, Aulea, and Titus’s sister-. He couldn’t risk it.
-He had never been so glad that Regis had given him magic as a trusted member of his Retinue. A way to teach his nephew how to hide the magic burning under his skin and how to temper the wrath that threatened to shake the walls at any given moment (because his nephew was always angry, even when he was content and smiling and laughing with his mother, there was a tiny spark of anger lurking there, like the world had wronged him and he hated it).
-He still kept the secret even after Aulea died. Because Regis was grieving, and for all the bitterness that was both his and the suit’s, he wouldn’t inflict that kind of drama on the man while he was grieving.
-When his nephew was ten, Titus got a call from his sister, frantic and confused over her nephew, who had been watching a broadcast about the Oracle’s children when he suddenly passed out with a fever. Titus claimed a sick day and rushed to Lestallum to check on his nephew, found him already up and about a day after his mysterious collapse.
-His eyes were red and there was bitterness there.
-They didn’t stop being red even after Titus held him close and calmed the buzzing rage he could feel under his nephew’s skin.
-“I’m King Regis’s spawn, aren’t I?”
-Titus stiffened at the wording, glanced up at his sister as she pet her son’s hair and breathed, “You are my beloved son. Who your father is doesn’t matter to us.”
-His nephew laughed and the sound was broken. Then he pulled away and summoned fire to his hands so he could stare at his magic. When he looked up at his mother, his eyes were still the color of fresh blood, “I don’t like my name. I want to change it.”
-Titus and his sister had exchanged worried looks, but out of fear of a magic-fueled tantrum, Titus asked, “What name do you want?”
-A sharp, bitter sort of smile more at home on the face of a soldier than a child, “Xanxus. My name is Xanxus.”
-And that was that. His nephew stopped responding to his given name, only answered to the one he had given himself. He was different now, from whatever had happened, and Titus wished he could ask Regis about magic without raising suspicions, because was this normal for Lucis Caelums? This sudden change in name and development of a too-old (too bloodthirsty) personality?
-Xanxus’s eyes never did turn back to blue. Titus suspected there was too much anger there, lurking just beneath the surface as his nephew went out and picked fights with the street rats of Lestallum, as he ran off to join the Hunters at fifteen, adding yet another concern to Titus’s life in between his duties as Captain of the Kingsglaive, the suit constantly prodding his thoughts, and Prince Noctis (who had taken to trailing him around with big blue eyes that made it impossible to hate the brat) and his crazy pet Galahdian who had apparently taken a shine to him because he wasn’t “a useless herbivore” (whatever that meant).
-Titus should have known something would break someday. The tenuous secrecy and balance couldn’t last forever. Not with Xanxus’s temper and Titus’s terrible luck in regards to Lucis Caelums.
-Four months after Xanxus turned sixteen, Titus got a report from the front lines. A base of Kingsglaive had nearly been overrun by a Niflheim assault until an unknown teenager with magic had intervened and shot down the gunships with a combination of over-powered, red-tinted fire spells and guns that seemed to fire bullets of pure magic.
-Titus could do nothing to stop the report from reaching Regis, because several Crownsguard had been at the base at the time to refuel their truck on the way back to Insomnia and they had already reported the incident to the Marshal.
-Titus stood at a twitching Regis’s side, face frozen in neutrality that he didn’t feel as the throne room doors got flung open and his nephew was escorted inside by several glaives. Xanxus eyed Regis with contempt, his magic swirling openly around him like biting embers of anger and King Regis flinched at the feel of it before stepped forward, “You are-”
-“Your illegitimate spawn,” sneered Titus’s nephew and Titus inwardly groaned, “so what? Gonna try to lock me in your pretty Citadel so I don’t go around shaming your line?”
-Regis recoiled like he’d been physically punched and Titus openly winced and resisted the urge to tell Xanxus to do his breathing exercises, “No!” Sputtered the king Titus had a constant loyalty-hate relationship with, “I would never hold you here against your will!”
-“So you’ll just offer a lot of incentives for me to stay and more incentives for me to not dare leave.” Retorted Titus’s living headache, “Don’t try the playing the nice sham you old b-.”
-That was enough of that, “Xanxus Certus Drautos, watch your tongue. I can still hold you down and wash that mouth of yours out with soap.”
-All eyes snapped to Titus while Xanxus made a face and a rude gesture and Titus sighed at the unspoken, panicky question in Regis’s eyes, “He’s my nephew. Yes, I’ve known about his magic for a long time.”
-Regis’s expression was so genuinely wounded Titus felt bad, “Then why did you never…?”
-Titus looked away, unable to withstand the hurt in the eyes of the man Titus thought was a bad king but knew was a good man (which was what made him a bad king), “We didn’t find out until the year Prince Noctis was born. I didn’t want my sister or nephew … or you … to suffer the scandal it would cause if he became known. And after the Queen died … there was never a good time.”
-Xanxus snorted, “Whatever, just scrub the reports and he can keep his precious reputation untarnished and I can go back to Hunting. Say one of your pet glaives used a new magic spell or something.” The glaives bristled at the “pet” comment, but Titus was just glad he wasn’t slinging his favorite word around yet (he doubted Cor or anyone in the room would react well to Xanxus calling the king “trash”)
-Regis turned back to Xanxus, reached out a hesitant hand, “You don’t have to leave. I will not stop you if … if you truly wish to go but I would … I would be honored to get to know my son-.”
-Magic rippled out like blood and fury and Titus instinctively put himself between Regis and Xanxus as his nephew snarled “I don’t belong to you, Trash King. I’m not your son, I’m your mistake and I will not be caged just so you can pat yourself on the back and feel better about ‘repenting’ for your ‘mistakes’.” Xanxus shook off the glaives that reached for him, fire burning dangerously up his arms and shoulders as he leaned around Titus so he could bare his teeth at a shaking Regis, his armiger flickering in and out of existence in red-amber as he spat, “You leave me and my mother the pyre alone or so help me I’m gonna-.”
-From the doors of the throne room, another magic signature spiked and Titus swallowed his spit in dread.
-What was Prince Noctis doing down here?
-Xanxus’s eyes went wild and he spun on his heel and Titus had a horrifying mental image of either his nephew or his crown prince dead on the throne room floor and half-dived for his nephew. He slammed against the red-tinted magic shield that formed and pushed outward, knocking aside everyone that might have stopped him as Prince Noctis, with no self-preservation whatsoever, ran up to Xanxus and smiled, “Xanxus, you’re here!”
-Wait. How did Prince Noctis know Xanxus’s name?
-Xanxus stared down at the nine year old prince with a cocked head, confusion in the set of his shoulders for a moment before he … relaxed, “Small Trash?” There was genuine confusion, disbelief, as if he wasn’t expecting to see Prince Noctis here, but that made no sense because Xanxus had only ever been to Insomnia in his life ONCE before now and there was no way he’d met Prince Noctis then. … Right?
-Prince Noctis stared around them at the shield hemming them in, then fearlessly smiled and hugged Titus’s nephew, “I missed you!”
-Titus prepared to batter down the shield in hopes of preventing regicide.
-Xanxus just patted Prince Noctis’s hair, armiger fading out of existence and magic settling to something slightly below screaming wrath, “Figures you’d be here, Small Trash.”
-“My name is Noctis.”
-“Xanxus. Xanxus Drautos.”
-Prince Noctis leaned briefly around Xanxus to blink at Titus, then resumed smiling up at the half-brother he shouldn’t know existed, “Titus’s…?”
-“Nephew, Small Trash. I don’t have a father.”
-Regis made a strangled noise, tentatively resting a hand on the shield keeping him away from his two sons, “Noctis…”
-Prince Noctis looked at his father, blinked with that unique, far-off stare he got when his seer magic kicked in and Titus felt his teeth grind as the boy looked up at Xanxus, “…You’re my half-brother.”
-Xanxus’s shoulders tensed, “Small Trash…”
-Prince Noctis turned and hugged Xanxus again, “It’s okay. He’s a good dad, I promise. He’ll love you. Please stay.”
-A shaking breath that felt … vulnerable. More vulnerable than his nephew had been since he was ten and claimed a new name, “I’m illegitimate, Small Trash. We both know what that means to royalty.”
-Slender arms hugged tighter and Titus watched in awe as his volatile nephew did nothing to throw the boy away, “Dad is different. I love him, and he loves me. He loves you too already. I promise. And I never break my promises.”
-Xanxus sagged in place, muttered a few scathing curses Titus had never been able to train out of him, then reached down and effortlessly picked Prince Noctis up and propped him on his hip like the boy was three and not nine, “Fine, Small Trash. I’ll give him three months. If I don’t like him by then I’m gone.”
-The shield dissolved as Xanxus turned around, “You got that, Trash King? You want to prove you’re interested in me as family and not a tool, you got three months to do it. After that I’m gone and none of your men better try to stop me unless they want to be dead.”
-Regis agreed even as the Marshal growled at Xanxus’s wording, but Titus didn’t care to listen. Couldn’t really think past his surprise because … because…
-As his nephew looked down at the half-brother he apparently already knew in his arms, angry but in a more tired and indulgent way, for the first time in years…
-Xanxus’s eyes were their natural washed out blue again.
-Oh, thought Titus quietly as Prince Noctis beamed up at Xanxus with amber eyes, magic curling effortlessly around Xanxus’s in a way that filled in and smoothed over all the screaming, jagged edges.
-Oh.

More Sunshine au please? Maybe everyone's reactions when Sola first gets published? I can definitely see Ardyn being a proud, bragging Uncle about it all. But just more of that verse in general would be amazing!
Alright, now that I’m not half-dead from work (three eight hour shifts in a row guys, eight hour morning shifts), I can properly answer this!
.
Reactions to Alata’s first papers getting published! (Two of her papers are published at the same time. Her personal research determining that miasma is destroyed by the UV radiation in sunlight, and the research by the medical task force in creating a treatment for early Vanishing Sickness using UV radiation.)
-Adryn is absolutely proud of his Dear Niece. And yes, he does brag to everyone about it. Because for years, Ardyn has very much been an Outsider among Niflheim high society. No one knows anything about this man who suddenly showed up and got the position of High Chancellor. No known lineage, much less a respected lineage, no history, no family, nothing. The nobility respect the fact that Ardyn is clearly a dangerous man, but they have only disdain for the man himself, for the filthy commoner who somehow has so much influence with the Emperor.
-So Ardyn takes great glee in bragging about Alata’s accomplishment. Getting published in any academic journal of notable repute is no easy task, and Alata’s work is in four journals in Niflheim alone, with reputable journals from Tenebrae, Accordo, and Lucis looking to publish the article as well. He brags partly as a way to thumb his nose at the nobles - my family is better than yours - but also as a way to advertise his niece’s research. The nobles are all but starving for any information about Ardyn, and Ardyn has just presented the bait of a previously unknown relative.
-And the nobles fall for it, hook, line, and sinker. They read Alata’s research. They contact the others involved in the research, asking about Alata. And if none of the scientists and doctors mention Alata’s age, well, she’s a sweet kid, and none of them want to toss her into the shark pit that is Niflheim politics. So an image of Ardyn’s niece is painted - a brilliant and kind-hearted humanitarian, with the ambition and determination to tackle the mysteries of the Vanishing Sickness.
-A possible chink in the High Chancellor’s armor, some think. A way to gain the Chancellor’s - and therefore the Emperor’s - favor, others believe. So they clamor for Ardyn to bring his niece to court. Such a bright and talented individual deserves opportunities to forge connections.
-Ardyn waits until the nobles almost think he won’t, then introduces Alata to court. Using the celebration of Prince Icarus’ betrothal to introduce her to the biggest possible crowd all at once.
-Alata shatters the nobility’s expectations. Yes, she’s bright and kind and ambitious and determined. She’s also fiercely passionate, sharp tongued and bluntly honest, with her uncle’s political acumen but no desire to pander to the song and dance of Court and stubborn enough to plant her feet and let any opposition break against her, like a wave breaking against a mountain.
-She’s also all of twelve years old.
-Ardyn is Smug.
-Besithia is an Outrage. He’s never liked the brat Ardyn picked up in Insomnia, not since she insulted his life’s work. But now, now this child has been acknowledged twice over by some of the highest academic journals worldwide. For the same research he’d scoffed at and dismissed as the idealistic ambitions of a six-year old.
-Besithia increases his efforts in his own research. He Refuses to lose to a child who isn’t as smart as he is!
-Queen Sylva is curious about this Alata Mederi. She didn’t personally attend Prince Icarus’ betrothal celebration, so she only has what her delegation and gossip can tell her. And Alata’s research, and does that spark Sylva’s curiosity. Because the research details how the Vanishing Sickness - referred to as miasma in her research - is destroyed by the UV radiation in sunlight, leading to the later medical research project in treating early Vanishing Sickness with UV treatments.
-Sylva can see how Oracle magic - Bahamut’s Blessing of Light - is able to cure the Starscourge where medicine and Lucis Caelum magic fails. But Sylva is curious how Alata discovered the Scourge’s weakness to sunlight at all. Prior research not published?
-In Lucis, Regis is not expecting to get a call from Weskham. He’s been too busy the past few months worrying about his son - who the Astrals have declared will die to cure the Starscourge, and Regis refuses to lose another child - and researching everything he can about the Starscourge. Going as far as asking Queen Sylva for any knowledge the Oracles have.
-So when Weskham calls and tells him of the article about the Starscourge in a Niflheim academic journal, Regis and Aulea leap on the opportunity. They secure copies of Alata’s research. It’s no miracle solution, but it’s the beginning of one, and Regis almost cries when he finishes reading it because- because this is proof that something can destroy the Scourge. Something that doesn’t require magic, doesn’t require his little boy sacrificing his life.
-If Regis decides to discreetly invest in Alata Mederi’s research, even as Lucis begins planning research of their own... well, niece of the High Chancellor or not, this research could save Noctis’ life.
And some other stuff!
-When Ifrit Blesses Sola, his Blessing replaces Bahamut’s. Because a) Ifrit is that petty, and b) his Blessing is Fire and Purity. The Holy Fire heals by destroying everything and anything that does not belong.
-(‘Reborn anew from fiery death.’ Sola burns in a pyre of white fire, and steps from the ashes with sun-gold eyes and white marks spiraling up her arms like fire from where Ifrit held her hands to bestow his Blessing. And when Sola later heals Titus of the scourge? Titus and Sola disappear in a firestorm of pure white, and well, as I said earlier, it’s rather hard on the glaives’ nerves. And oh does Sola healing Titus have unintended consequences.)
-Sola loses the Lucis Caelum magic. So do Loqi and Ravus, gifted with Sola’s magic as they are. No healing, no Elemancy save the Holy Fire unless Sola finds an Elemancy node, no warping, no shields, no armiger.
-Sure, Ifrit had Sola empty her armiger before he Blessed her, but he didn’t tell her why and now she can’t carry all of her weapons.
-Sola is still miffed about that.
-Half the people who meet Sola and learn of Ifrit’s Blessing are... shocked to say the least. Because, look. Sola is not reverent in any sense. Not to Ifrit or any of the other Astrals. Half the people in earshot choke on their own spit the first time they hear Sola call Ifrit a petty jerk.
-In this AU, Sola doesn’t pick up much Galahdian culture. She unnerves more than a few Galahdians wearing white and black. Combined with her red hair - that she keeps cropped short at jaw length, Sola hates dealing with her hair - and the white almost tattoo-like marks on her arms and the veritable armory she somehow stashes on her person (because I love the trope where a character pulls out weapon after weapon and everyone else is like, where are you keeping that?) Sola makes for an ominous picture to any Galahdian.
-And then they spend about five minutes in her presence and realize that she’s a massive nerd. Whose passion is linguistics, cultural development, and the reflection of such in literature and folk tales. That Loqi and Sola continue a previous debate on the accuracy of a translated historical work as they travel to Costlemark Tower, Ravus groaning in exasperation and Selena snickering, goes a long way towards easing Tredd, Luche, and Axis’ nerves.
-Noctis and Sola regularly write each other about once or twice a month. Sola doesn’t tell Noctis where she is or about her research. Not that she doesn’t want to, but she doesn’t know if Papa or Mama also read Noctis’ letters and she doesn’t want them trying to take her away from Uncle. Now that she’s older she understands why they would, but good intentions or no, Sola won’t let them stop her from reaching her goal.
-Noctis... kind of doesn’t tell anyone that he’s regularly writing to Sola. At first because it’s a secret, and managing to keep something secret from everyone makes eight year old Noctis giddy. Then it becomes something he’s possessive about. His letters with Sola are his. No one else’s, and Noctis is possessive of his new older sister and doesn’t want to share.
-Eventually Noctis does feel guilty about keeping his letters with Sola secret, once he’s a bit older and realizes how much Regis and Aulea and Cor desperately miss Sola. But he still doesn’t tell them, because how he doesn’t even know what he’d say. Oh, he’s been writing to his missing older sister for years now and never told anyone? Noctis is only eleven, but he’s not stupid. His parents would not be happy. Worse, they’d probably be disappointed.
-Then Noctis has the idea that if he convinces Sola to come home, his parents will be too happy about that to be mad or disappointed that Noctis didn’t tell them about the letters!
-Unfortunately, Sola tells him that she can’t come home yet. She has a very important promise to keep. And one should always keep their promises. But Sola promises Noctis that she’ll be home for his coming-of-age. Even if she can only visit. Noctis pouts and tells her that he’s twelve. That’s forever!

Aulea Lucis Caelum
(emotions) anger
Explosive, impulsive. If Aulea is angry, it’s known within a three mile radius. She cannot contain it but it’s much more intense when it erupts because a loved one is hurt or in potential danger. Her anger is the type that would empower her to yank the Astrals out of the skies to ask them ‘what the actual fuck.’
She does not simmer. However, if she must hold back and remain graceful, don’t expect her to be cordial. Aulea has a mouth on her that would scare the tattoos off a sailor with a tongue that’s sharper than any knife in the Citadel kitchens. And she knows it. For all of her confidence, she has a bite to match her bark.
However.
Given that she’s been trained similar to the Kingsglaive, this does not mean that she is without some semblance of physical restraint. She won’t punch, warp, or otherwise hurt someone with her hands but be aware of sudden flying objects. Her aim is as dangerous as the object she’s throwing.
(emotions) sadness/hurt
Intense and yet it’s quiet. When Aulea is upset or hurt in any way, she swallows it down until she chokes on it. Anger is easier for her to deal with as an emotion but she compartmentalizes her sadness and negativity to a point of near unhealthiness. Yes, she’ll speak on it briefly, but once it’s out, she hides it until she believes it’s gone.
Not one for serious crying jags, she’ll find other ways to allow it to come out. Training with the glaives is one of these ways. Physically throwing her sadness to the ground or imagining herself throwing a dagger at it helps to a point but not nearly as much as letting it turn into something else. What she believes to be productivity can often turn itself into something of an obsession in whatever activities she uses to erase it.
When she heard council members insulting her intelligence and her value of it, she turned that hurt into a program for school aged children, particularly the ones struggling in the public school system in Insomnia. She outright demanded funds to make certain that it would work and poured her sadness into the project, doing her best to transform it into passion.
To the outside world, for the most part, it appeared just as she’d hoped. To anyone close to her, Aulea’s true colors are quite vivid no matter how she tries to dull them.
(emotions) happiness
Visual. Aulea smiles and laughs as well as anyone and, for the most part, she’s usually quite happy. She could light up a room with her smile or burn it down with her anger. Her confidence helps her to show the world her happiness through friendliness.
She could make friends with almost anyone just by being in a good mood. While she was working as a teenager, she learned quickly to use this to her advantage while waitressing. It earned her more tips as she used soft smiles, a friendly demeanor, and careful wording to help customers.
This can carry on into her life as Queen as well, to a point, with various political big shots. Some she still has trouble allowing herself to remain polite around. She feels that she can twist words enough that she could tell someone to go to hell and they’d look forward to the trip.
However, genuine happiness can be seen when she’s with her family. Readily given hugs and smiles, loving remarks and concerned questions. Aulea would give anything for friends and those she’s adopted into her family, including her love and happiness.
(emotions) grief
Just as with her sadness, her grief is just as quiet. When she lost her mother, Aulea had a difficult time allowing herself to grieve to the point that she was insufferably snappy. She became short with anyone who tried to speak with her for weeks after her mother’s death and the only person who could talk to her without being told to fuck off was Regis.
In some verses, Aulea witnessed Regis’s death during the Fall of Insomnia and hasn’t forgotten the moment since. She met up with Cor afterward and didn’t speak a word until she saw her son and, even then, her responses were quite soft. To say that her husband’s death traumatized her would be an understatement but knowing that she could have potentially saved him will haunt her to her grave.
On top of that, she’ll have survived the ten years of the World of Ruin and, in some verses, outlive her son as well. Aulea likely would not last long after that unless with Cor’s help but, by then, she’ll see Gladio, Ignis, and Prompto as her sons as well. She’d try to live long enough to take care of them in Noctis and Regis absences.
(emotions) disappointment
If she’s disappointed in someone, they’re going to know about it. Aulea questions everything. She wants to know why they did what they did and how they came to the conclusion that it was a good idea. At least, this is if she’s disappointed in direct actions.
Say an appointment was cancelled that she was truly looking forward to, she’d claim it didn’t matter and she’d attempt to move on, but it mattered to her. Yes, in a way, she’s a ‘I said it’s fine but it’s really not fine’ type of person but she tries to hide it. On top of being disappointed, she doesn’t want to be angry with herself for making another person feel guilty for a change of plan that may have been out of their control.
As with a host of other negative emotions, this is another that she’ll box up and move out of the proverbial way as soon as possible.

Kid Noctis verse
which parent is he most like? the people of Insomnia always seemed to bombard the king with these questions about the boy who had seen more than his fair share of PAIN and TURMOIL at such a young age.
“ he’s quite troublesome, you see. a picky eater and a sleepy head! one may assume he might fall asleep on the throne. but even with his habits that are not fitting for a king, i have witnessed the most beautiful thing about young noctis. his SMILE. it’s like the hardships do not matter for as long as he has a reason to smile. “
without a doubt, he is like his mother. Queen Aulea can be seen blossoming from within the Lucii heir. but only those the closest to the queen can see those similarities. his eyes– filled with light but also HAUNTING. as if there’s something that troubles them so. he has her smile, her laugh, the tender and caring nature. perhaps a bit of her fiery spirit too!
“ she wrote it all down for him. things she longed to do with her son before her death. the farewell letter was all but the beginning. of course it was no ACCIDENT that Ignis Scientia came across the diary. i know full well how close the two are becoming and the genuine care betwixt the two. if there’s someway to make Noct’s childhood grand, then no doubt the longing wants Aulea had should do just that. “
Ignis is like a mother-figure to Noctis, being there when Regis could not and taught Noctis the things the queen had been unlucky to do. even if the prince complains and would rather spend his time running amuck with Prompto in the courtyard or reading with Luna, one can still find him around the young advisor who’s becoming better and better at taking care of him. i must admit, Aulea would be proud.
“ and no one knows who the prince takes after most. both parents play a strong influence on the heir even if his mother is gone. the people say she was the most beautiful woman of the Crown City — her eyes like a thousand stars and a smile like the sun. if one wishes to see her once more, look at Noctis Lucis Caelum. they both share beautiful and heartbreaking tragedies to come. may he grow up into a fine king and may his friends continue to stand by his side. WALK TALL, YOU ALL. “

"Did you throw up again? I can come home early and cuddle with you." (Regis to Aulea)
@fragmenthearted | PREGNANCY SENTENCE STARTERS
Regis and Aulea had been trying to have a child for almost three years. Despite many attempts and two miscarriages, the royal couple did not lose hope. But this time, the young queen’s body seemed to have accepted this new gift from heaven without too much difficulty. However, doctors had advised her to rest as much as possible to minimize the risk of losing their child again.
Aulea followed the advice, keeping the bed for most of the day while she was only in her first trimester. But morning sickness tended to be frequent throughout the day, which weakened her greatly.
As he was taking a short break at his Royal Lucian Council meeting, Regis called Aulea to check in. He was always protective and considerate with her, especially at this time. The young woman found his attitude so adorable and very touching. She explained her morning and he suggested that he shorten his meeting to get home earlier than planned. “It’s not that I don’t want to, far from it,” she replied gently, although he might hear that she seemed quite tired. “But I don’t want you to be blamed for not lending to the affairs of the kingdom because of me…”
