Audio testing is an integral part of media testing. There is a lot of science involved and intense testing needs to be conducted behind the scenes, in order to render a crystal clear sound.

Corsair void audiotest

#Corsair void audiotest drivers#
With the VOID ELITE, you’ll discover new, custom-tuned 50mm neodymium audio drivers with an expanded frequency range of 20Hz-30,000Hz that have been designed from the ground up. It's a headset that supports surround sound, but you can be sure that disabling this feature makes it sound better overall. The VOID RGB ELITE WIRELESS connects to both PC and PS4 (that’s something new) via 2.4GHz wireless, with up to 40ft of range and 16 hours of battery life, offering both 7.1 surround sound (only on PC, via the included USB adapter) and dynamic RGB lighting on the ear cups. The headset that we’ve reviewed is the carbon variant, and there is also a white one available. Well, it’s not a good idea to change the winning squad, right? I’ll start off by saying that you won’t be shocked after when you see this new model. In this review, we’re checking out the all-new Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless. Announced on the 10th of October this year, it is another revision of the Void series, following in the footsteps of the Void RGB and the Void Pro RGB that we reviewed here in the past. They have a wide portfolio of headphones, including the budget-oriented HS series, running upwards to the very high-end Void series. Corsair is known as a manufacturer of a great variety of PC components and peripherals.

Lost in the Forest
You're a kid, lost in the forest as night falls; your only companion your loyal dog, whose barks lead you out. A first person 3D low poly game Made in Unity.
Credits
We're four students making this game in four weeks; we are already at week three, so for this DevLog I will backtrack to show the process.
Kadin is scrum master, keeping scope and workloads feasible, coded character movement and created the terrain.
Kyle https://kyletanirau.tumblr.com/ greyboxed the level design, and with
Vinnie https://onceuponadevblogblog.tumblr.com/ is creating low poly art assets.
I am coding the audio, a key game mechanic.
Probuilder maze audio test
In week 1 I created a random maze in Probuilder, which I had never used before but found surprisingly good for greyboxing, adding UVs and textures. I chucked in a few of my tree and flax assets and a dark skybox, then walked the maze to see - could I follow the dog barking to get out?
Answer, NO! I got lost.
It was almost impossible to hear where the barking was coming from. I had to use scene view to work out where I was; without that advantage the player would be hopelessly lost.
Solutions
I broke the maze into several audio zones, each with its own 'dog' at the correct exit. This was more effective, but meant the dog sounded like it was 'porting' abruptly from one zone to the next just as the player reached the dog.
It was easier to locate the barking if the 'dog' was moving, so I animated each of the dogs just outside the correct exit for each zone.
I got sick of the constant barking; it was clear the barks needed to be more varied and randomised.
I added ambient forest sounds on each zone; these also changed far too abruptly.
I played with the idea of adding warning sounds for wrong exits; I happened to have a tiger growl, so I used that. It gave me a real fright when I walked around the wrong a dark corner. We wanted scary but not THAT scary!
Overall I I learned a lot from a simple greybox audio maze test.

Simple basic audio test
The next step was to see if I could use Unity's audio settings to adjust the sounds so they more naturally faded off as the player moved. At Matt the tutor's suggestion, I set up the simplest possible scene: a player, a dog and a long road.
Tumblr media
Then I changed one of Unity's audio settings at a time. This way I could work out the best settings:
to locate the dog barking in 3D
To get natural falloff in the ambient sounds when walking in different zones (forest, birdsong, stream, waterfall etc).
This super-simple, basic audio test was absolutely invaluable in working out what each setting did.
Stay tuned for more about Lost in the Forest!

Most of them cost absolutely nothing at all – so why not give them a try? More… So, if you are thinking of setting up a home studio but have a limited budget or aren’t sure if it’s the right move, online sequencers are the way to go. Online sequencers also help you to do things you would do in the recording studio. It enables using several advanced polyphonic synthesizers, samplers and live effects in real-time in the browser. Many programmes have a similar layout to world-leading DAWs and physical sequencers. AudioSauna is a full-featured audio workstation with an easy-to-use and straightforward user interface. If you are new to the music, trying out a few online sequencers is a great way to get immersed in the music-making process. Decide on a few online sequencers that are right for your music. There is nothing worse than an unresponsive computer when you have musical ideas in your head. However, using multiple online sequencers could slow down your computer and hinder the process. AudioTest helps you to determine the sound quality of your musical equipment, whereas Oblique Strategies helps when you can’t find the right words for your song. Certain apps aim to help you in specific areas, i.e. Whether you are an artist who writes lyrics or a seasoned music producer, there is an online music sequencer out there to suit your needs. Maybe you have already added in a few browser extensions. Hopefully, by now you have noted which online sequencers you want to trying out. |cta-link type=’producers’| Online Sequencers: Summary & Conclusion Each element is a new sound or rhythm and by simply moving objects you can create an entirely new track!
