Time Is Money!

Should college athletes get paid to play sports? The answer is YES without a doubt. Sports is one of the main attractions to a school.To play a sport it takes hard work and dedication. Trying to maintain a high gpa with a great representation in sports is not the easiest thing to do. A college doesn’t pick just any person to represent a team, they pick the best!

The effects sports can have on your body can play a huge part in your learning. When having to practice more than twenty hours a week and study a little bit for each of those days that take a huge toll on you! Nobody can say they know how it feels to have dedication to sports and books if they have never played sports while being a full time student. For me I played soccer, the constant popping my knee out of place and long hours of practice every day, all I could think about was my shower and my bed. When having to work out physically and mentally I found myself wondering which one I should pick between the two!

The way I see it when it comes to sports is the college is the employer and the students are the employees. In order to a business or company to be great they need workers. The employees just don’t need the employers, the employers needs the employees! As hard as it is to live in America I don’t know too many people that work long and and hard for free!
