10 Myths Associated with Gemstone Buying in Astrology
This is a typical fallacy that one should buy stones from astrologers. Yes, they play a vital role in the recommendation of stones based on your horoscope, but they aren't gemologists or price determinants. Gem merchants are the real specialists of authentic gemstones for jewelry as well as astrology.

Astrology is Precarious
Astrology and science. These two words, for some people, may not correlate much at all. For others, these two words could be read in corresponding representation and be of great relevance. The academic article Astrology and Science: A Precarious Relationship from the Journal of Scientific Exploration discusses the topic of science and astrology in depth through centuries. This article was written by Gerhard Mayer, who studied areas of psychology and mental health. The article was published on December 15, 2020.
The article consists of two parts. The first half discusses the precarious relationship between science and astrology and the consistency of astrology throughout German-speaking countries in the 20th century. The second half includes population surveys involving astrology and problems within scientific studies on the validity of astrology. Throughout this article much is discussed regarding the investigation of astrology, the crucial importance of which concepts and practices were used, and reintegrating astrology into the academic sciences. Gerhard Mayer sites many relevant sources within this article, however, the one I found to be the most interesting and informational was the article Why Astrology Works by Brad Kochunas.
Kochunas writes about the value of myth within his article. He states “ Astrology works, not because of its factual validity (the literal truth of things) but because of its functional validity (its usefulness in providing a satisfying aesthetic).” He believes we lean toward astrology at times, not because of its factualness, but because of its truthfulness. He clams astrology is grasped so widely because we are yearning to bring to the forefront of our lives a hint of a greater order to sustain us. Mayer sites this article when mentioning a counterargument to his claim that astrology can be considered scientific.
Mayer sees a correlation between the two whereas Kochunas believes astrology to be an “Imaginal Discipline.” I feel that both articles closely relate to the research I am conducting within my blog. I believe there are two sides to every story. In some cases astrology may consist of very scientific backgrounds due to truth within astronomy. However, I fairly believe as well that astrology is more related to myth and beliefs. Although I find that both articles serve meaningful opinions, when it comes to astrology, people will believe or disbelieve for their own reasons.
Astrology is a complicated subject. There are some truths within the stars and validity in science. However, how much you trust can be something not to be taken lightly. If you choose to include astrology in your life, you may find many forms of evidence and truthfulness when it involves this topic. You also may find information concerning the mythical aspect of astrology. I find that both sides have validity within this subject. There is a diverse relationship between astrology and science which is why a thorough knowledge of astrology in all its variants and aspects is important when it comes to how you are going to feel about it.
