Redefining Truth

This post is not specifically about today's transits, but instead is addressing one particular aspect that I think bears noting and understanding. Let's look at Neptune @ 22° Pisces. Neptune is the revealer of truth, though it gets a bad rap as the planet of illusion. Neptune reveals truth; humans reject truth and turn it into illusion. Whatever house Neptune falls in on your natal chart is where you will spend time sifting thru illusion in order to get to truth. My Neptune is in my ninth or tenth house (depending on the house system you use). I can attest that I have spent my entire life vetting philosophies from around the world, and that now in my 50s I am making it my career and part of how I am known by others. Neptune is currently at 22° Pisces. 22° is an Aquarius ruled degree, THE master Aquarius ruled degree. It is a degree that can just "feel" truth and bullsh*t. It just knows when something is based in authenticity and when it is fake. And it's a volatile degree, so many times it uses surprise, shock and chaos in order to get you to drop your illusions. But once the illusions are dispelled, it uses that truth to build strong, deep foundations. Neptune was last at 22° Pisces in 1857/58. During that time the world was grappling with the institution of slavery. The Women's Suffrage movement was active, and the British took over the government of India. Worldwide the idea of being controlled, and controlling others, was being examined. And why wouldn't it ... Aquarius is THE sign of freedom, independence and if necessary, revolution. Neptune is again at 22° Pisces. It had a short stint at 22° April 18 to May 28 this year. This time it will stay at 22° till September 16th. But in 2022 it will have several stints at 22°, and will be there when 2023 arrives. After that it will be another 165 years before returning to the 22° mark. I encourage you to see what house Neptune falls in on your natal chart, and what house it is transiting in now. This is where you are being tasked to look at truth, and where your resistance to truth is keeping you "controlled" by others. It is where you need "independence" and where the "revolution" will come from. Use this time to see a greater truth, to have a deeper understanding. It will require your ego, mind and beliefs to surrender. For many that will be tough and challenging. One thing I've learned about astrology; it will not be denied. So be a part of your own truth gathering machine, and usher in this truth in an easier, gentler way. Or not, and get the cosmic 2x4 over the head.

Spotlighting the possible defensiveness of this Moon transit, the Sun and Pluto form a sesquiquadrate. This transit can aggravate fears and any feelings we may have of being powerless or overlooked. Buried emotions and motives can surface now. We might crave a sense of control over events, relationships, and circumstances, becoming frustrated at any sign that we don’t have it. A tendency to want to control our lives through some form of manipulation is persistent with this aspect. However, it’s best to rise above this pressure.

The Sun’s quincunx to Saturn this morning can point to a clash between a desire to enjoy ourselves and our responsibilities. Doubts or lack of faith can slow us down and hinder our movements and initiatives. Even so, this can be a helpful process as we take a break from pushing ahead. We might now see the need to adjust our plans based on new responsibilities or a reality check.

Today’s Gemini Moon encourages us to diversify, put out our feelers, and pick up new ideas or tips. While there can be some listlessness or a temporary dip in inspiration, it’s easier to find a direction or mission as the day advances.
