To my ear, and I don’t know if it’s just me, Christian Bale doing Patrick Bateman, and Seth McFarlane’s normal speaking voice sound strikingly similar to me. I don’t know what to do with that information.

I know a lot of B moviephiles follow this blog, and by extension I assume people who like horror from cheap to expensive. So, can someone tell me exactly what Violent Night with David Harbour actually is? Is it like an Asylum movie where they’re intentionally trying to make trash and it’s awful? If it more of a traditional B movie? Is it a mid-range horror? I just want to know exactly what it is before I decide to watch it or not.

I once had a dream I saw grainy ass VHS rip of a trailer for a Cameron Mitchell and Dan Haggerty buddy comedy, and awoke saddened to a world where it never existed.

A lot of the time when you finally get around to watching legendary classic movies, they don’t quite live up to the hype. Even if they’re really good. When I finally saw Citizen Kane for the first time, it blew me away. It’s a strange paradoxical situation though. It has the reputation of being the best film ever made, which I disagree. Yet somehow, it exceeded what I expected of it.

I love B movies and a lot of those are ripoff, but there is nothing quite like a cover for an American family movie knockoff. It’s always like... Count the derivations. How many can YOU find?!

I love the movie Brazil (1985) a whole lot, but I always feels weird recommending it to people. It’s perhaps longer than it needs to be, and the few people I have recommended it to, found the story way too slow. But I do love this movie. I love the cinematography, I love the direction, I love the sets, the costumes, and the acting. Really just about everything. The script is derivative, being very 1984 in its context, even though Gilliam claims he’s never read 1984. I honestly don’t believe that, but the script is certainly a fun imagining if nothing else.

Working on my new screenplay, which combines the Estelle Getty and Sly Stallone vehicle from the 90s, with the Ray Dennis Steckler's classic, Blood Shack. It's called:
STOP, OR MY MOM WILL CHOOP

I made the mistake of introducing someone to bad movies with Neil Breen's Twisted Pair and, well... Really can't go anywhere but down from here, eh?

A great bad movie will make me laugh harder than most pieces of intentional comedy. I'm not sure if that is a statement on me, or an indictment of a lot of comedy.

I'm not sure if it would be considered "Mandela Effect" or not, but I have this vivid memory of Tom Hanks playing The Flash in the latest 80s.
