Hi! How big of a jar would I need to keep your tiniest OC in? Would I be able to?

Oh man, if we are talking normal OCS we'd probably have to make a decent sized jar!

I reckon if we aren't going crazy Sol would be the clear winner as being a shapeshifter he'd be able to fit any jar really, though it would feel extremely cramped to stay so compressed for so long. I wonder what form you'd want to keep him in..

But I do also dabble in G/T, and have got quite a few actual little guys!

Kiyan is one of the first Pocket Droids, he actually comes equip with a small portal-esc feature in the components of his hand, that allows him to be very effective at getting from ledge to ledge, he's programed to be ever so helpful!

Theo is a simple lad, though we've yet to work out how he came to be so small, he's more like the classic Arrietty. He loves books and ink especially. He'd make a perfect Desk buddy!

Lir would probably be the easiest to fit in the smallest Jar! As he is half Octopus, he can really shimmy into the tight spaces. Though he enjoys wrapping around a friends wrist to go on little adventures! Perfect for someone into sea life.

I really, REALLY hope that CAPCOM never reveals who Nero's mother is. I don't think I can take losing all the steamy Dante/Vergil Mpreg fanfiction and fanart!😥

Oh anon, I highly doubt the art and fanfic would disappear just because capcom gave a face to nero's mom! Even if they were to actually make her a character, I think me and everyone else who's deep in the hc would just keep going as if nothing had happened - after all, I highly doubt Vergil being Nero's actual mother would ever be made canon, so why care about what canon says on the matter? It fits incredibly well with his character and with the general vibe all of the spardas have that make them so close, at least in my experience, to the (specifically transmasc) non-cis experience, but it's one of those things that was likely just a happy accident and as such will probably never be recognized by the creators, even. Though while I think it's clear that the official intent of purely canonverse is to imply Vergil had a ONS with a random woman who got pregnant with Nero, I personally don't think it would serve the narrative to make her a full fledged character - something like that would muddle the story a bit too much. I think it works perfectly as a "yeah this thing happened but how or the details don't matter, what matters is that now Nero exists" thing rather than having its own detailed branching off plot. I just don't think DMC is the franchise to explore that - and besides, I think capcom, so far, hasn't seemed too interested in exploring that, which honestly I appreciate not just as a shipper (because again, like I said, at the end of the day what canon says matters relatively little) but from a narrative perspective.

How would the Bull's followers worship him? Are there any rituals or holidays? Are there other notable clergy aside Narine the Lamb?

The Bull accepts blood sacrifices and offerings of hearty food. his followers are under his protection, he won't let them fall in battle or be conquered by any other territories. in his religion it's honorable to become a warrior but all roles of society have their value, he likes art too!

The Bull's holiday takes place during lunar eclipses! His followers gather on a hill and draw a large summoning circle so they can party with the Bull. first half of the party is family friendly (Bull has great care for the children in his cult) but at a certain point the party becomes very 18+ so all of the kids are sent home

There are! There's also the Barracuda, which is my DND OC Lir edited over a bit!

And another OC of mine who hasn't been edited is an alternate version of my Okami OC, Poet! He's the Tiger

sometimes meeting a deity means five months of cross-checking your divination sessions with said deity with friends (what if i'm going insane? is this real? why is there a norse god all the way in southeast asia??) and researching resources, traditions, culture, etymologies, etc etc. but sometimes meeting a deity also means you offer pretty rocks at them and they gave you cool rocks back and so you gave them strands of your hair (like a fool) and now you end up in the court of manannán mac lir.

Nope! That would be my other Baby's First Jedi OC, Lia Skye. I'm not 100% sure which character I made first, but my earliest Derran stuff in my Jedi notebook is dated 2002 and there's no Lia til 2005, although I know I made her earlier because she was part of Baby's First Novel, which was my own version of Star Wars Episode III because I couldn't wait til it was released lol. Derran's fics were short ones inspired by the Jedi Apprentice series (though I also wrote those for Lia too).

Lia was like Ahsoka because:

Apprentice to an Important Canon Character (Obi-Wan, because 1. even at 12 I knew Anakin had no business being around kids 2. Obi-Wan was my favorite so I wanted to write my OC with him)

The Important Canon Character spends WAY more time worrying about the OC than his friend/brother of 10 years

In fact in my Star Wars Episode III Version Anakin's Dark Side turn takes place completely offscreen and way more time is spent on Lia and Obi-Wan helping Padme hide her twins lmao

Losing the OC is 10 times more devastating than anything in canon or the relationship with the friend/brother (Lia is Anakin's first Order 66 victim)

Lia was TOTALLY SPESHUL AND AWESOME and had multiple lightsaber colors and even her eye color changed at some point because of Force Bullshit I Made Up. Also she had the same hair color and similar eye color as me but that was toooootally a coincidence lol and so was her age being only a few years older than mine. In general even her appearance was Speshul and Yooneek

However even at 11-12 I put my Jedi OC in Jedi robes and not a tube top or cocktail dress looking thing (that one's on Lucas not Felony tho)

Lia was an AMAZING COMBATANT for her age and also had special awesome visions that no one took seriously but were Very Important. She was also able to fight characters that should have been way above her skill level (like Count Dooku and she puts up a good fight before Anakin killed her). After her death she appeared as a Force ghost too. Obi-Wan also kept her lightsaber To Remember Her By

Lia regularly broke the rules but was always Justified and Right in the end and the Council either let it slide or even agreed she was ultimately right (although I never villainized them in by writing, it was just Lia was Too Amazing For Them To Truly Understand. I was a teenager in full No One Understaaaaaands Me mode, what can I say.)

All my favorite Jedi liked her and thought she was cool (Felony has Plo Koon, I had Obi-Wan and Yoda and Aayla.)

To contrast, Derran's only real Speshul trait was having the same hair/eye color as me (toooootally a coincidence I convinced myself at that age), she was a more balanced, albeit amateur character.

That said writing Lia was a huge escape after dealing with school & peers' crap all day and I don't regret it. It was mental and emotional self-care and it was fun. I still have all that bad fic and I still love it; even if I don't consider it "good" anymore, it made me the writer I am today and there are still things I look at and I'm like, that's a good idea I can execute better now, or I really like that turn of phrasing, so on. It made me a better writer and Lia has a special place in my heart. Nowadays she exists as my Jedi Knight in SWTOR, Skye Lir.

Writing overpowered maybe-a-self-insert OC is self-care. But if I'm paying money to a company owning a massive franchise, it's not unreasonable for me to expect better quality writing than a depressed anxious amateur preteen writer desperately suppressing her own queerness and filtering the asexuality she doesn't understand through Jedi fanfic lmao. Or to put it another way, if a friend just getting into baking makes me a cake, I will support her efforts regardless of the quality of the final result, but if I buy from a popular well-known bakery I'm gonna damn well expect a good cake.

How would caspian treat a young crew mate who had been kind to him, and along with Malik, got captured by them?

So I’m hoping I understand it right. Asking if Caspian captured not just Malik but some of his crew too, then how would he treat them?

Later on in the story, Jovey is pretty high on his nice list. As high as a human can be for his standards anyway. Cas isn’t completely heartless, he can just be cruel and hold a grudge for a long time. So if you’re generally nice to him and don’t do anything to piss him off then he’s more indifferent towards you.

If he caught Malik’s crew with him, he’d actually spare the ones who didn’t hurt him and tried to help him. He’d just kind of let them go and tell them to forget everything and live their lives while he took the rest of the scumbag crew to the bottom of the ocean.

I will say though, it doesn’t matter what age they are. If they acted just as bad as Malik and were teenagers, he’d drown them without a second thought.

I've decided to just say screw it and chatter on into the void. A few things have changed to Sadie's overall moodboard.

The core of who she is still intact. She's still the friendly, easy-going character via Misaka Mikoto but she has now adopted the wits of Ina for her puns.

Additionally, she's a bright eyed girl to discovery based on Georgie Henley's performance as Lucy Pevensie but she shares a little bit of a smug and a little bit of a hero complex from Clara Oswald. Lots of earthly themes and it feels good to double down on Sadie's overall theme.

How did Sadie mac Lir came to be?

Sadie's actual origins started with the character; Sadie Kane but based around Irish mythology under [the god of the sea, Lir] In terms of personality, Sadie picks up a lot from my favourite character, [Misaka Mikoto] Intelligent, friendly, bit boyish but still very much a lady at her core.

Her elf ears was a mistake on my part but I adopted them later as sort of a cute feature. Credits to [Ninomae Ina'nis] for that additional feature and a little bit of [Amity Blight] for the golden eyes.

I have to admit again, I never really thought deeply about this but in terms of "It's Sadie Kane but with the Irish gods and the harsh exterior of a Tsundere" That was its very core.

📣 MEGAPHONE - how loud are they? what do they speak like? got a voice claim?

I don't have any voice claims as I'm not really good with that stuff due to me not knowing enough pieces of media and some minor auditory issues.

But for their general voices I feel like Lir has a very sultry voice, he usually talks at a low and consistent tone. He usually sings ballads, so he puts his voice to good use. Lir speaks in very poetic and flowery ways, it can come off as if he's a bit up his own ass, but he just talks like that :P

On the other hand tho. Leon is very loud and excitable. His voice tends to fluctuate a lot and cracks frequently. He does whistle and chitter when excited or happy, which is all the time, loud little man. Also run on sentence king <3 he WILL talk your ear off.
