Okay so, Cirrus is Mother, Cumulus Mommy and Aurora Princess, but what is Sunny? Like, she’s an absolute Sunshine of a ghoul but she is that so much that it is her name

I think we should find a nickname like that for her as well

I just go with Sunny because it feels like her, you know? But I'd go for Miss/Ms/Mx Sunny if I want to give her an title.

I love it in fics when there's gender fuckery with gendered titles, calling ghoulettes daddy etc.

(i don't personally use princess for aurora because it's a bit too close to her unmasked artist name)

Sarah Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan (always loved this book from the first time I read it)

Musashi by Eiji Yoshikawa (epic historical drama is always a win, also kind of a fascinating look at pre-WWII Japan in some ways)

The Call of the Wild by Jack London (most engaging book I got assigned in school. I read it all in one night lol)

Lost Moon: The Perilous Voyage of Apollo 13 by Jim Lovell and Jeffrey Kluger (Fascinating on multiple levels - historical, psychological, etc...)

I'm so glad you like my blog!!

I have this problem in that I always have so many stories going on in my head that my writing can't keep up with my brain. But, the good news there is yes I have thought about continuing "Christmas Will Find You Home" and I have the outline of an idea for how I'd do it.

I was thinking it would be fun and a bit different from the story format(s) I currently have to do a series of vignettes, each centered around a different holiday. It wouldn't be linear, but would show moments from before and after the events of "Christmas Will Find You Home".

Hope that idea sounds good to others, and when "Everything's a Negotiation" is finished (or close to) I'd probably explore starting work on a couple of the vignettes.

John shrugged off a pang of worry as he slipped into Baker Street that night. He stood in the doorway and felt his shoulders relax to their rightful positions as Sherlock puffed contemplatively at his pipe. Someone of Holmes' build and features fell from a rooftop that evening, their face too disfigured for identification. John knew from the lack of scars and bandages from various chemical experiments the dead man was not Sherlock, but worry set him running home nonetheless.

Sherlock's gaze turned to John. His eyes lit up and then his brow drew in concern. He placed his pipe aside on the mantle and hurried over. "Your knee will give out soon."

"It will not -" But, the offending injury buckled. John grasped the doorframe and stretched knee slowly. The weakness eased. He let Sherlock help him to his chair.

"Tell me," Sherlock said, "about the body."

"He fell from a great height," John said. "He was your size, the same texture and color of hair. The same type of palm and fingers..."

"Where did he fall from?" Sherlock asked.

"St. Bart's," John said. "He wore a gown."

Sherlock looked off at an indeterminable point and then said, "Have they interview anyone yet?"

"Not when I left. Gregson believes it's a suicide. It certainly appears as such," John said.

"But..." Sherlock prompted.

"But, he didn't brace himself for impact. His hands were not broken," John said. "Even a suicide might instinctively try to do that."

"Precisely," Sherlock said. He bounced on his heels. "I must go see this body."

"I'll join you," John said. He got up from the chair. His knee felt better now with relief and rest.

"Of course," Sherlock said. He led the way to the street.
