Question for everyone involved in the star trek au! What's your favourite piece of star trek media? Which era does the au take place in? (if you have it figured out ofc) Also you're amazingly creative and I'm in love with both the star trek au and the normal futurama art!!

Futurama is actually what got me into Star Trek in the first place! In my mind they're always gonna be linked in a way. I watched Where No Fan Has Gone Before and after seeing all the Trek references, figured I needed context lol so when I was around 11 I decided I was going to watch every classic series in order, starting with TOS (I actually started with The Cage because I didn't know where to begin so I just went with the earliest date first). I have a lot of nostalgia for TOS specifically (Spirk was one of my earliest ships other than Freela haha) but my favourite actually wound up being DS9, I wasn't expecting much from it because it was sorta the black sheep of the franchise at the time, so I figured I'd just get it out of the way--but I loved it, the characters, the arcs, the relationships, I was blown away. There are episodes that to this day still give me chills. I really do enjoy TNG too, though, and I'd say that had more influence on the AU than any other series, especially aesthetically, but we kinda draw from all of them.

As for the time period, we figure it's around the 2380s. After TNG and DS9 but before Picard. Close to the time Lower Decks takes place because it seemed like a good middle ground. Lower Decks is kinda special to me too because I actually worked as an animator on s1 and the upcoming s4! So I'm pretty familiar with that setting haha

It has everything: incredible plot, A+++ writing, perfect characterizations and OCs, Lars, a slow burn Fry and Leela that will tear you apart from the inside. It’s everything I’ve always wanted Futurama to be, not even kidding!

Sixteen Days by @viridianvenus (Complete) - (tecnically a wip now, but trust me it is complete, I read it in the futurama forum like 5 times and I'm so happy it's now being posted on ff.net!) the events of the episode “The Sting” from Fry’s POV and later after Leela wakes up. Great and devastatingly amazing.

Know Your Quarry by The Sophisticated Shut In (Complete) - The Hunger Games AU set in the Futurama universe, that manages to be even better than the Hunger Games (and I don’t say that lightly).

Glory and Gore by The Sophisticated Shut In (WIP) - Catching Fire AU and the sequel of KYQ. These two fics are the source of all my joy and suffering, and I love them just so muCH.

had we but world enough, and time by The Sophisticated Shut In (WIP) - Groundhog Day!AU. My new obsession at the moment, devastating start that made me cry in my bathtub. Highly recomended!

One In The Same by gaialux (Complete) - one-shot, takes place after Lars’s death and it’s gooood.

A River with Currents by coldangel omega (Complete) - starts with a major character death but that gets sorted out, also it's good.

How the Light Gets In by PurpleProteinShake (Complete) - The only human!Bender fic i know of, so a gem!

Too Little, Too Late by dapperghost (Complete) - A wholesome content for the Frender agenda.

This Is Where We Start Again by Redwylde (Complete) - This is all about frender friendship. Fry asks Bender to move in with Leela and him after they get married. Wholesome.

Mother’s Love by The Arthurian Prat’s Folly (Complete) - one-shot. Only read this when you’re ready for the tears.

Parallel Lives by Archonix (Complete) - tbh one of the most insane fic i’ve ever stumbled upon. I'll have to read it again because I don't remember how it ends anymore, but I remember I liked it.
