#Ashyra the false hero

Wooaahhoooo. One character sheet done and many more to go.

Eeeehhhhh. Why did I do this to myself. 

Anyway

So, I've rambled on about this AU before, but here is the story's basic run down/premise.  

The chosen hero Link, goes to confront a powerful mage from the Gerudo Court to see about ending a decades-long stalemate in a war against all the Kingdoms in Hyrule. During this meeting, Link gets double crossed and cursed by the dark mage with a waste spell called Malice.

And then everything goes sideways. Alliances are broken, soldiers fight each in a chaotic melee, and kingdoms break into a full-on civil war.

In the middle of the chaos, Link and his younger brother Lane manage to escape safely to the home of a trusted ally.  That ally being the priesthood of Nayru. Unfortunately for Link, not even the healing powers of the priesthood can reverse the Malice's effect, and he begins to rapidly waste away.  

In a last-ditch effort to protect the tri-force from the wasting spell, Fi makes a desperate decision. Using all the magic she can muster; Fi transfers the power of the tri-force to another worthy vessel. That vessel being a young healer named Ashyra.

So now Ashyra has the monumental task of

A.)   Stopping a Civil War

B.)   Restoring the cycle of the tri-force

C.)   Oh, and not die.

Fun times.

 So, character line up from above are Ashyra.  In both her adult form and her teenage form from the start of her adventure.  And her mothers’ Lilith, the high priestess of Nayru and Nahla, Captain of the temple guard.  Both of her mom’s will get mini sheets of there own soon-ish.

A Song for a Siren.

A simple melody draws her in.

The soft and soothing sounds of an old violin.

Music notes that dance in the waves.

A song she wants to hear until the end of her days.

They beckon her into his arms once more.

To abandon the depths and come home to shore.  

For it was a song for a siren and nothing more.

A simple melody that her wrote just for her.

My idea for Mermay 2023. Featuring my two LoZ OC's Ashyra and Lane.

Soft headcannon idea. Lane can play the violin. Lots of the Link's are musically gifted in someway. And since Lane's big bro was the Link of his time...... Lane picked up a bit of a music talent. Its his darkest secrets. Well other then is very obvious crush on Ashyra. Don't worry the two end up together eventually. It just takes a few near death moments to convince them both to finally confess their feelings. Lol.

I will get back to my LoZ babies eventually.

Sorry this is a bit late, I walked into a very busy lab this morning.

Anyway, Questions.

For number 4, I will give two answers. One for Sky and then one for my OC Ashyra.

Sky: He doesn't have many scars but the ones he does have aren't the prettiest to look at. Most are lightning feathers from his final battle with Demise and a few are from him learning how to use a sword. His lightning scars look almost like roots that spread out from his hand and snake up his arm to about his shoulder. Sky is pretty self-conscience about and doesn't like to show them off.

Ashyra: She is one of my OC from an Au that I am working on. Ashyra is a lot like Sky in thr whole, "Yes I have scars. No I don't want to talk about them" department. Her scars are from the master sword burning her hand and arm after she took up the hero mantel. Just because Fi was okay with her being the next hero doesn't mean that the goddesss where. They eventually chilled out and accept Ashyra as the new hero, but it took some time. It also doesn't help that she is missing half of her left arm from a battle with Gannon.

For Number 7, I'll only do one of Link boys.

Warriors!

He somehow has the best and the worst shoes of the chain. Like he is super picky about his shoes and boots. To the point that you would hate going shoe shopping with him because he is that damn picky. But he will also wear the same stupid shoes until the fall off his feet. Like he will have literal holes in his boots and he will still walk around in them. It drives the rest of the chain nuts.

The chain: Just get new shoes man.

Warriors: No. I like these and they are still in good-ish shape.

Legend: they have threw holes in then. Get a new pair!

Well...... I finally decided to make a linksona....

Only she isn't a link at all.....

Meet Ashyra of Faron aka the false hero of Hyrule.

Her story in short....because I haven't figured it out completely yet.... is that the original hero link died like 10 minutes in to his adventure. In a panic, Ashyra grabbed the master sword to defend herself and shocked everyone when she was able to wield it. The sword still burns her hands when she uses the sword, but her and Fi are working on it. Now the fate of Hyrule rest in the hands of one crybaby mage, Link's snarky brother and one very tried sword.

Ps.... her desgin will probably change a bit. This was my first pass at it.

I've waffled back and forth with her desgin for a bit, but I think I'm finally happy with where she ended up.

I got a few things in the works. 😌

As for her story, Ashyra started as "what if" question and spiraled from there.

"What if the hero dies too soon or way too early in his journey?" What happens then? Does "Ganon" just win? Is "Link" just reincarnated right away?? What happens during that wait period? Does Zelda have reincarnated too? They're a pair, right? What happens to the cycle???

The end result was an Au that I've been calling the False Hero Au. Ashyra is essentially a temporary hero in the tri-force cycle. She wasn't born to be a hero or anything close to it. She starts out as a priestess in training of all things. But...... when Ganondorf decided to change his fate, he kicked started a new cycle and place holders had to be found for the tri-force pieces.

Fast.

So poor cry-baby Ashyra got the tri-force of Courage and all the troubles that come with it. She is trying though. She got the heart of a hero..... just not the talent for it. She will get there eventually, but its a tough up hill battle. No one in Hyrule expected a half-geudro wield the master sword.

Nor... do they want her to......
