This is definitely more than a sentence but it’s fine lol.
The cold chill of summer swept through the halls of the old castle of Winterfell. Sitting in the great hall with the other ladies of the Stark household, Nadya could feel it even through the thick gray fabric of her dress, brushing against the nape of her neck as she leaned over the needlework she was presently busying herself with.
A Northern girl of ten and seven, she was more than used to the cold, which was far milder than that of the winter and held a crispness that was almost pleasant. She did not much mind it, although the steady warmth emanating from the fire burning in the large brazier the women sat around was still certainly appreciated.
Nadya wielded her needle with practiced hands as she stitched the blood-red leaves onto the weirwood tree standing tall against the canvas held beneath her fingertips. She was rather fond of needlework and had grown quite good at it over the years.
Beside Nadya sat Lord Eddard Stark’s daughters, Sansa and Arya.

it was probably brought up before, but I'm becoming pretty convinced: no one besides lenore can't hear the raven talk.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
lenore now have had multiple encounters with the raven, first being all the way back in the first episode. I've seen some people speculating that she's the only one that can see him, because every time he disappears right before someone else sees him. and although I don't really vibe with this idea, I'm actually pretty sure that lenore is the only person who can hear the raven.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
no matter which panel we're looking at, it's fairly noticeable that the raven doesn't really speak. like, he doesn't open his beak to utter word. and his creepy speech bubbles only add up to the feeling that he uses some kind of telepathy to communicate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's especially clear on the second picture here: when the raven opens his mouth, he's simply croaks. lenore hears him talking and laughing, but from the side it looks like this bird just makes bird noises.
I'm not sure what that means for the story and the character, but excited for how the plot will unwrap. I genuinely have no idea why would lenore be different from other students and what the raven was implying, but... we'll see, I guess.

THE HOT MEDIEVAL & FANTASY MEN MELEE
QUALIFYING ROUND: 52nd Tilt
Ser Davos Seaworth, Game of Thrones (2011-2019) VS. Gest, When the Raven Flies {Hrafninn flýgur} (1984)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
Ser Davos Seaworth, Game of Thrones (2011-2019) Portrayed by:
"SER DAVOS SEAWORTH is the real deal. He's brave and he's honest and he's good with children. Like one single person in the whole of Game of Thrones has managed to dislike Ser Davos Seaworth, and it was because of his moral stand against letting her burn people alive. Every king he meets decides they want this warm-voiced former smuggler on their small council. Hot in a down-to-earth, not-showing-off kind of way. TL;DR: GoT is full of hot psychopaths, but Davos will treat you right.”
Gest, When the Raven Flies {Hrafninn flýgur} (1984) Portrayed by: Jakob Þór Einarsson
“This man was a vital part of my childhood. Watching a guy indiscriminately executing his vengeance on a Viking town while looking swell (Normal response to watching this extremely violent movie at age 12)”
Additional Propaganda Under the Cut
Additional Propaganda
For Ser Davos Seaworth:
“I'm not usually into older guys, but Davos is hot! My friend calls him ‘Onion Daddy.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“He just has such a kind face! I don’t know how better to explain it. And Davos is just so honourable and good, how could you not love him?”

Review: As the Raven Flies (a Charm City Chronicles novella) by Meghan Maslow
Rating: 4.5🌈 Meghan Maslow’s Charm City Chronicles series is a favorite among favorites. And I’ll be the first to admit it’s due to the setting of the series in Baltimore, a city I’m deeply fond of and live near. Maslow has turned this old historic seaport city, known as Charm City, into a magical one teeming with paranormal diversity that the bosses, known as Rogers, have divided up into their…

"I'm goin' to say this now.. I dinnae trust Rollo as far as I kin' throw him. I've dealt with enough demons in my life to know how tae' read people.. and he gives me all the wrong vibes." The human scoffed. The city was pretty, but he knew looks could always be deceiving...
