Inktober day 21 - Guardians

The first thing that came to mind when I saw this prompt was the Guardian beasts from Cardcaptor Sakura, Kero and Yue. I was originally going to draw both of them in their true forms but Yue was already proving to be such a challenge for me, I had so much trouble with his face for some reason, so I decided to go with something simple since I knew that Keroberos’s true form would be a nightmare to tackle. They’re siblings in the source material and I always kind of wished that we got to see them interact more as actual brothers because the bits that we have seen always made me laugh. They have such an interesting dynamic and I’m looking forward to see what they’re gonna do with them in the upcoming Clear Card chapters.

Inktober day 25 - Tree

It’s been a while since the last full piece! Overall, it’s a pretty simple composition but nature and backgrounds in general tend to give me pause so this was tough on me but I liked the idea of using this prompt to revisit my Walking Dead OCs for a day. Max decided to borrow Annette’s knife to carve their initials into a tree for fun, encircled in his attempt at a heart. While Annette doesn’t appreciate waiting in the cold apocalypse so Max can finish his carving, the gesture isn’t lost on her and it’s a nice sweet moment between the two, despite the hardships they’re facing. My hand crapped out near the end so it’s missing a few details that I would have liked to have added, but for now, I think I like how this turned out.
