My unpopular opinion about this character

first off. tinderbox's story sucked. the love triangle was bad. BUT. i think Kai being manipulated into helping Rasputin was fun. i think that could be fun to keep in a rewrite but for different reasons (on Kai's end). i love me some angst.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

IF tinderbox has to be entirely canon (boo) then i want Gwyn and Gerda to go on a rescue mission to rescue Kai from that temple at the end of the world

Zhongli knew he wasn't a first choice of a damage dealer. His shield was one of the best and he did take pride in this fact that he could protect his team collegues well. But as you replaced his artifacts empowered with your divinity with something else, he could feel his power raising; and his shield weakening. It was like a high of unknown origin - the last time was when he just grew into his power in the Archon War and realized that he could feel Tevyat responding to him. This world was your child but for the first and last time, he could be anything.

He arrived with his team collegues in Sumeru, near the City of Wisdom, entering the domain of a forgotten god that never was. Zhongli sometimes wondered about the many domains littering Tevyat and how many vision wielders faced off against enemies in them, but he cut his musings short upon seeing the familiar door leading to the condensing god.

The adventurer from Mondstadt, Bennett; The fireworker from Inazuma, Yoimiya; And Ningguang from his city.

At the beginning, he did wonder if this was a punishment, revealing his strength and past to other vision holders carefreely. But not once did they talk about their past or from others. Zhongli thinks it just shows the deep respect they have for you.

As the fight progressed, he did grew worried. He was still protecting the others with his shield, but due to the changed artifacts, he performed worse then expected - His shield sometimes on the verge of breaking before he could recast it fast or risk injuring his teammates.

But then, the mechanical god feel to his knees, and they all followed the glowing lights to the plattform. He felt You guiding everyones moves; the adventurer exploding his energy on the ground; the young fire mistress shooting in the air; and the Qixing expanding her shield.

And his energy reached its peak. He could feel his veins pulsating on his arms and knew his eyes and hair glowed from that much energy and he fuelled everything into his signature. He gritted his teeth and pushed down the urge to change into his form as a godling, casting the meteor on this forgotten god.

Normally, they needed many consecutive attacks to defeat it.

But as they feel to the ground and the unknown god retreating into flashing lights, all he could feel with every bit of his soul - He needed to make you his.

This was yet another book purchased on a whim after a trip to the local fabric store. The title alone sold me. It is definitely a fun read! It is indeed a swords and sorcery type of fantasy novel. I am behind on the latest trends so until I started reading this book I didn't realize that "cozy fantasy" was a genre of book now and it is apparently very popular. (I do indeed have a copy of Legends and Lattes, which inspired this book, and I will be reading it shortly.)

So anyway the gist of it is, this palace guard who is Fed Up with her circumstances runs away to live with her girlfriend who happens to be the most powerful mage in the world. They build a bookshop together. There is a *lot* more to it than that, but after reading those two sentences either you really want to read this book or you really don't!

Coffee Shop AU and Awful First Meeting for Eight and Charley

Charley runs away in search of adventure and winds up working in a genteel tea shop, or a tea shop that was very dull and genteel before the worst customer ever runs in, asks wildly for a scone with jam and cream at once, because it's a matter of life and death. before being followed in by a bunch of rhinos carrying guns and the tea shop burns down.

(Of, course, the the Doctor saves Charley from the fire, but she should have died in it. He really should do something about his weakness for scones. It's got him into trouble again...)
