Who thought it was a good idea to have only one way to get in and out the castle, like that is so stupid. Not even two ways to get up and down, just one. And even the guards comment that if the lift ever breaks, Anna would be stranded. It's a big ass castle, with a lot of guards, yet y'all can't afford to add a second pulley system? You guys essentially hold the princess of arrendell icyridge and y'all just pray the singular pulley system doesn't break on her.

I finally did a couple Elsa heroforges to support my ace daughter ^_^ The first one is heavily inspired by Elsa's classic ice dress but with a more modest and practical feel to it. And the second one is Elsa when she begins her journey to Arrendelle and the Enchanted Forest

V, V, V — Day 30 : Past
“One thought crystalizes like an icy blast — I’m never going back. The past is in the past”
Ever since I was a young teen, I have seldom, if ever, looked back.
I mean — if there is a noise behind me, or if I am on the street and someone behind me calls my name, I look over my shoulder. And obviously if I am driving and I am reversing then I look back — otherwise I risk running over vampires (they wouldn’t appear in the rear view mirror, obviously) or hitting something or someone.
But in my personal life I seldom look back.
If I make a decision, then that’s it — I rarely tend to think about the alternatives, to second-guess myself and to wonder “what if I had made a different choice”
I seldom, if ever, wonder “what if” — “what if I had gone left, instead of right”, “what if I had got that job instead of this job”, “what if I had punched my boss in the face instead of not punching him in the face”
It’s been this way ever since I was a teenager — for over thirty years I have lived my life on the basis that once I’ve made a decision that is the decision I have made.
That’s not to say that I don’t think about a decision before I make it — I can overthink a decision I haven’t made like you cannot imagine. Especially the really unimportant ones. In fact the more unimportant a decision, the more I can overthink it. Ask me to pick between trains to get to a job interview and I can pick in a heartbeat. Ask me to decide what I am going to spend my day off doing and I will be at work the next day before I finally make the choice (isn’t that right, sweetie?)
But remaking decisions that I’ve already made? It just isn’t me.
It links into something else as well — a song from the musical episode of Xena called “The Bitter Suite” which is all about letting things go, and forgiving people. (This was a little while before Frozen came out).
From reading some of my answers, and posts, and other entries it might seem like I am easily annoyed and angry and have a desire to — say — punch people in the face. However the truth is I seldom, if ever, hold grudges or stay angry at people.
Because in the same way that I don’t think about decisions I’ve already made, I tend not to think about people who have pissed me off in the past. If I stay angry with them — if I stay annoyed and let the anger burn then they have more control over my life than I do, and that seems………. counter productive. So — I let it go. To quote a wise woman, I forgive those who harm me and just let it go.
I know that I have said there are five people who, when they die, I will celebrate their deaths, but until the point they die I pretty much give them no thought at all. And since two of them have already died, there are only three left so it reduces the number of people I am not giving that much thought to. (Sorry — to whom I am not giving much thought).
So while I am not a fugitive Queen with magic ice-powers who is on the run from her kingdom after accidentally attacking the Duke of Weaselton, it turns out that I do have a few things in common with the former Queen of Arrendelle.
Neither of us like revisiting in the past.
And honey — you should see me in a crown.

OT for kiddos and parenting health😊
The development of a child and the parent-child relationship are two interdependent processes. Several factors influence both children's and adults' occupational behaviour. The parent’s knowledge of their children and their attitudes toward the parenting role influence the parents' occupational behaviour.
"Maternal and child health" refers to preventive, curative, and rehabilitative health care for mothers and children, child health, family planning, school health, handicapped children, adolescents, and health aspects of children in special settings such as day-care (maternal and Health, 2020). Occupational therapists play a significant role in people's lives, including the importance of maternal and child health in a variety of contexts. The occupational therapist can also have an impact on the parent-child relationship by encouraging the child's development and teaching parents how to deal with their child's undesirable characteristics, such as excessive irritability.
It is also critical to consider other issues other than maternal and child health, such as reducing morbidity and disability and improving long-term outcomes relevant to human development. Sometimes children may have a developmental delay that might be linked to environmental factors which may include malnutrition because the mother is not working, and the father is absent hence the child is not getting a balanced diet, or the mother does not get a balanced diet so that she can be able to breastfeed the child. The close links between poverty, inequity, undernutrition, and human deprivation are well known, and all these factors have been shown to significantly reduce human development potential. (Walker and colleagues, 2007).
Although there has been significant progress in improving the survival of mothers and children worldwide, the changes are not occurring quickly enough. In addition, there are disadvantaged groups that do not benefit equally from development, resulting in increased health inequity. There are so many factors that also contribute to the unhealthy development of a child which may include the physical aspect, social aspect, and psychosocial aspect of the caregiver (mother). In most cases especially in low-class communities, mental health issues are less taken seriously yet these factors are hazardous to a child’s health if the mental state of their mothers is not controlled or aware of, which sometimes leads to mothers being diagnosed with mental health disorders. Maternal mental health disorders are one of the psychosocial factors affecting low-class communities, which have a negative impact on children and family outcomes. Furthermore, recent public health and policy initiatives have begun to highlight the importance of healthcare providers addressing the critical issue of maternal mental health. Some research indicated that during the perinatal period, up to 20% of mothers experience maternal mental health disorders (WHO, 2008a; Wisner et al., 2013).
Mothering is a primary occupation that entails caring for and nurturing people and relationships (Arrendel, 2000). However, maternal mental health disorders impair a mother's ability to manage the occupations and activities required to nurture a child. For example, a study discovered that depressed mothers are less likely to follow safety precautions such as placing the child in a safe sleep position, using a car seat, or having a working smoke alarm (Balbierz et al, 2015). That being said, living in that environment is not healthy for a child because their minds are still unable to problem solve and make concrete decisions about safety, putting the children in danger. The mothers are also more likely to face difficulties in maintaining a stable home and gaining access to nutritious foods. (Corman et al, 2016), are less likely to engage children through practices such as child development enrichment activities (Zajicek-Farber, 2010), and may struggle with communication which this a primary key for mothers to communicate with their children because children learn easily and best through communicating with their primary caregiver. (Field, 2010; Letourneau et al., 2012). Thomas Fuller wrote, “Charity begins at home but should not end there". In other words, we should nurture a sense of compassion and generosity in our relationships with those around us, but we should then work to extend that compassion and generosity to the rest of the world. Mothers suffering from postpartum anxiety disorders are also less likely to bond with their children (Tietz et al, 2014). likewise, obsessive, and intrusive maternal thoughts have been linked to lower breastfeeding rates and less sensitive parenting styles (Challacombe et al., 2016). Maternal mental health disorders, if ignored, can have long-term consequences for both child development and the entire family unit.
The emphasis on physical health, as well as the lack of effective collaboration and referral pathways between adult and peadiatric care and mental health systems, are significant barriers to maternal mental health care (California Task Force, 2017; Reynolds et al, 2012). Traditional early intervention in occupational therapy focuses on specific developmental delays in children. Attachment theory proposes that an infant's emotional bond with caregivers is the foundation of development (Ainsworth, 1989; Bowlby, 1982; Malekpour, 2007). The parent-child relationship and functions are addressed in the relationship-based approach of early intervention, which is based on the premise that healthy child development is dependent on a child's primary attachment to the parents, physical and emotional safety, and predictable routines (Mahoney & Perales, 2005; Stoffel & Schleis, 2014). To foster physical, social, and emotional development, OTs use interventions to promote engagement in occupations such as feeding, sleeping, resting, playing, socializing, education, and communication (Clark & Kingsley, 2013).
It has also been noted in one of the communities that is 2km away from CBD (Dalton community) that most of the people are suffering from TB and HIV also it was noted that covid was highly affecting this area hence this is a red flag for child’s health as TB and covid are easily spread. What was noted is that in that community they are living in an informal settlement where the whole family will be sharing a room realistically the health of a child is compromised if it may happen that one of the house members is suffering from TB. The environment influences the mother’s health and well-being.
Subsequently, occupational therapy is rethinking its human occupation framework to account for community social, political, economic, and environmental influences, as well as their effects on opportunities for being and doing. Creating programs centered on community-based rehabilitation (CBR) and human rights is one approach to incorporating this component into undergraduate curricula. Recent World Federation of Occupational Therapists position papers, combined with occupational justice arguments, may help to shift professional thinking toward community needs. There are some suggestions for incorporating CBR perspectives into education, particularly through the creation of practice placement opportunities. (Pollard, 2007)

elsa arendelle & anna arrendelle @drvcxrys
❛ do you understand what that means? ❜ elsa questioned, looking at their sister. "that means we're in danger. and it's my job to make sure that you're safe." there wasn't much that elsa could do to get ahead of what was happening with such little evidence being left behind.

Yaaas! Agreed @gqa-lite Also Elsa always felt like she was in a cage in Arendelle.
It’s true it’s hard to see Anna and Elsa “not end up together” because their sisterly bond is so strong and we all love that their love for each as their primary relationship, even over the boyfriend.
BUT… part of why the frozen series is so powerful is because it deals with deep emotional issues that most “kids” movies don’t tackle.
While the first deals with shame, neglect, family trauma and a journey of self acceptance, and realizing we are loved as we are.
The second follows Elsa not just accepting herself but coming to love herself fully embracing her differences as gifts not a curse. Anna matures beyond her F1 self (so desperate-for-love she loses herself in her relationships (codependency) ) to finding her strength to stand on her own without defining herself by her relationships. The fact that she can act independently for the good of many qualifies her as Queen.
So while the end is a bit bitter sweet…it fits both characters story arch’s.
Also….let’s be honest, we wouldn’t be able to #giveelsaagirlfriend if she stayed in Arrendelle can we 😉
It’s exhausting to see anti-ending fans go after Honeymaren for telling Elsa she belongs in the forest. Elsa was already in the mindset to stay, Honey telling her that wouldn’t have made any difference. Her saying that is meant to represent that the two women are starting to form a relationship. It’s good for Elsa to create bonds outside her family.
Also, it’s becoming annoying to see anti-ending fans use Anna as a way to represent their own frustrations. Anna is fine with Elsa being in the woods, and even encourages Elsa to stay in her letters. On top of this, as a loving sister, Anna would have no issues with Elsa forming relationships with people outside of her.
