Hollywood might be superstitious about Friday the 13th  but not Bollywood. And kickstarting the festive season tonight is Arpita Khan Sharma, Salman Khan’s zesty little sister! PeepingMoon.com exclusively learnt that Arpita let her intentions be known early on when she sent out her invitation on Whatsapp to those she absolutely wants at her Khar residence Satguru Flying Carpet to make her party happen. Cleverly designed like a playing card with a black spade, Arpita promises “Diwali Dazzle with Drinks & Deals”.

The invitees are already excited because this is undoubtedly the taash party they were looking forward to that would usher Diwali in. Who’s going to cut and ‘deal’ the deck of cards is left to be seen. Arpita added the muscle of the Khans along with the names of the Sharmas and Agnihotris at the bottom of her invite, so you most certainly know who’s going to be in this House tonight!

As the Khans are known for the extravagant food served at their dinners, Mutton Biryanis, Sheer Khurmas and Kebabs will definitely be on the menu tonight as festive fare.

Diwali is just around the corner and Bollywood has started the pre-Diwali festivities. Recently, producer Ramesh Taurani hosted a pre-Diwali bash in Mumbai and the bash was attended by who’s who of bollywood.

The star-studded night was attended by Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Sriram Raghavan, Vicky Kaushal, Nushrat Bharucha, Sunny Singh, Tusshar Kapoor, Jackky Bhagnani, Aftab Shivdasani and wife Nin Dusanj, Preity Zinta among others.

Bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra recently hosted a Diwali party at his residence on Monday night.

The party was attended by filmmakers Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, Pooja Hegde, Shilpa Shetty with her husband Raj Kundra, Punit Malhotra, Nushart Bharucha, Tahira Kashyap, Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan among others.

Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra arrived together at the Diwali bash. Shilpa was dressed a cream-and-pink kurta lehenga set.

Filmmakers Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor arrived hand-in-hand at the party. Ekta Kapoor aced the ethnic look while Karan Johar wore a black shirt and black trousers.

Nushrat Bharucha looked resplendent in a bright pink outfit.

Tahira Kashyap looks stunning in a satin green dress.

Salman Khan’s sister Arpita Khan Sharma also arrived at the party and wore an all-black outfit.

Vaani Kapoor looked stunning in a printed white suit. She was all smiles for the shutterbugs.

Kriti Sanon was recently spotted attending a Diwali event wearing a printed ensemble by designer Punit Balana. Styled by Sukriti Grover of The Style Cell, although the dress was pretty, we think it looked more like a flowy dress, which seemed too casual to be worn to a Diwali party. The full-sleeved dress had tassel detailing and the actress paired it with statement earrings and gold jutis.

The Bareilly Ki Barfi actress nailed the look though. Make-up artist Adrian Jacobs opted for neutral make-up, red lips and smokey eyes while celebrity hairstylist gave her a centre-parted hair. Not to be forgotten, the small bindi definitely added grace to her look.

Vidya Balan’s traditional looks have hardly ever failed to impress us. Wearing a customised ajrak printed sari from the house of Punit Balana, the actress was seen promoting her upcoming film Tumhari Sulu. As usual, the diva looked breathtakingly beautiful in a navy blue printed sari paired with a black blouse.

Styled by the celebrity stylist duo Pranay Jaitly and Shounak Amonkar, Balan finished her look with earrings from Sangeeta Boochra and a golden statement ring from Magic mirror. Hairstylist Sanky Evrus gave her centre-parted hair and she kept her make-up minimal with pink lips and kholed eyes. Take a look:

Spotted at Arpita Khan’s Diwali bash in Mumbai, Huma Qureshi was seen wearing a Aditi Somani anarkali suit. The mint green anarkali had a high neck detailing and she paired it with a Chanderi dupatta. But the anarkali failed to work wonders for the actress and we think the colour combination too looked quite dull on her. Keeping her hair side parted, she completed the look with traditional earrings, a gold box clutch and golden juttis.
