Zephyr and Pebble echolalia very very often, but sometimes Zephyr will whistle xer words and 'pop' their lips! Sometimes they'll also have a spikey ball to rub between xer hands

Dew bites his lip skin a lot, plus a lot of skin picking. However, kneading is his best stim and does it only in private or as discreetly as possible

Phantom rocks himself back and forth, trills, and has a teething stim. He has a bat chew necklace that he keeps on him all the time, sometimes will shuffle it under his balvaca on stage to keep chewing!

Cowbell has a lot of hand flaps, rocking, and loves Iris's (Air) feathered wings for grounding purposes and will just plop his face right in between his shoulders just to feel the feathers brush his face

Arlo (Earth) has a middle finger stim, and will just casually start flipping everyone and everything off. Even if he enjoys the thing he's pointing at! Just "!!!! Is this what I think it is?!" And points at it with his middle finger

Swiss' is... Swiss coded. Humps things absentmindedly. Doesn't even mean it sexually! He has a body pillow and will curl up with it, and starts humping it just to put himself to bed ejjejd. Rain's plushies have met this unfortunate fate, too

Special chews his pens and nails, and has a foot tap stim. Sometimes he'll mimick the bass pedal movements for certain songs and it'll help him start thinking of other ideas

Story Time with Arlo

so I got somewhat outed in my forensics lecture today. But it wasn’t bad?!

So basically a dude in the lecture started to pester my friend about being gay + having a bf (congrats to him btw and I’m very proud) so as the over-protective ‘big brother’ friend I am, I stare this guy down (and if looks could kill this guy would be dead ngl). And he goes: ‘Oi why is she staring at…’ my friend cuts him off ‘he is staring at you. He’s a boy’

And the guy just stops and he looks like he feels bad????? And goes ‘Oh! Sorry man!’ Then turns back to my mate, ‘Why is he staring at me?’ My friend shrugs, the guy goes back to pestering him ‘would you kiss me?’ ‘Am I your type?’ And other stuff like that. im still staring at him, my face hasn’t changed. He again asks why I am staring at him, so I finally speak up, “I am staring at you bc you are just being a frikken jerk. You bloody tease him for having a boyfriend, but give me a freaking pat on the back for being trans?! Don’t get me wrong I’m glad that you respect my pronouns but c’mon man. Not cool.’ The guy looks down but the girl next to him yells out, ‘WAIT- YOURE TRANS?’

I look at her, kinda scared bc I haven’t officially come out yet, ‘Uhm yeah.’ I look down really nervously, starting to stim like I do when I’m stressed. Then a few kids from the rows around us start talking and asking me questions; ‘oh what are your pronouns?’ ‘How long have you known?’ ‘What’s it like?’ ‘Is your family supportive?’ I try my best to answer, ‘he/they, um I’ve known since 2020… I dunno, kinda just like being a boy but in a female body? It’s really confusing. Not exactly.’

their faces drop at the mention of my family not being supportive and freaking go; ‘We’ll be your family!’ And start chatting about how it’d be cool to have a trans ‘brother’. So I’m sitting there not as nervous as before but more dumbfounded. ‘Wait so you guys aren’t gonna tease me? Or like threaten me?’ ‘Why would we do that?’

And that’s why I now have like 10 ‘siblings’ that are really supportive of me, and use the right pronouns and Arlo instead of my deadname ^^

“The Glow”

okay basically the story is about two trans boys (also both are aromantic and figure that out) who snuck out at night and walk a mile to this forest. in the forest, they find this glowing rock and underneath it is a secret latch that leads to an underground city with fairies and elves and talking animals and other creatures. they get locked in and have to figure out how to live in this new world until they can get out, but it seems to be better than normal real life.

it’s pretty much a metaphor how fiction can be a coping mechanism for many lgbtq and autistic people and how being weird is cool. that’s all i have so far, but i think it’d be pretty awesome if i went through with writing this

Obligatory Cowbell Posting

I personally HC Cowbell as deaf and a "Null" ghoul with traits of Earth. Earth Ghouls are very known for feeling vibrations of the ground which makes them so good at being drummers! Cowbell isn't spared from that. He feels vibrations best out of everyone, especially with his increased senses from the loss of hearing. He can read music just fine, understand tempo and rhythm, but it's the sounds he gets overwhelmed with. There's been times he'll just sit in the practice room after hours with the Kit and just start hitting randomly before he gets into his own rhythm.

It's loud, it doesn't make sense, but it makes him happy. Bell just gets so lost in what he's doing he'll go until his wrists can't lift anymore. When he was still learning with Phil (who's proficient in the instruments as well), there'd be times where they'd just do random strums together. Bell can play "Genesis" pretty decently!

Bell doesn't like wearing his hearing aids unless he has to or doesn't feel like reading other people's hands.

I also hc Special & Bell to be Nihil's first summons, and in return older brothers of the Papa's. Bell was definitely a daddy's boy, clinging to Nihil so tightly. He and Secondo were actually super close! Bell was this giant, excited puppy and Secondo was the black cat. They'd sit together for hours in the worship hall, Secondo practicing his sermons while Bell just enjoyed the booming echos of his voice.

He's scared of needles and anything sharp, having visits to the doctor when he was little was TERRIBLE. That ghoul would be kicking and even as a kit those heavy hooves HURT. Always enjoyed the icy pops he'd get after, just clinging to Nihil and whining. Always wanted the green apple flavor and nothing else

Sometimes when he's understimmed and desperately needs something, he'll go to Era 2's hall. Now, Era 2 are hardasses. Don't like anyone. Don't like humans, ghouls, especially the nulls or anyone invading their territory. Buttt... Cowbell is the only one with a pass (occasionally.) They can see how his tail droops with his ears, slowly clinking down their hall before Enki (quint) will lead him to their den. He just flops on their beanbag in the middle of the common room and get to play with Wrath (fire) & Arlo (earth)'s stim toys. They have the biggest collection with Bell being in third.

If they're in a mood and not wanting Bell around, they'll take the loss and leave their territory to walk him back to the Doves (era 1) so he can be cared for better.

Cowbell is very much an adult, but like with Phantom, his mannerisms get him confused for as a kit. He's constantly gnawing on his tail or pawing for attention, letting out non-verbal cues with body language. The only thing that saves him from the nursery ghouls (/j) is his height. Boy is TALL.

Era 1 is the tallest in the clergy, then there's Bell. Even Special isn't his height - and he's the eldest! Glamoured, he's a whopping 6'3. Unglamoured, which is often, 6'11. Somehow, Sarra (quint) is still able to pick him up and rest on his arm.

His original name was Bluebell, like the ice cream (credit to Nihil), but Secondo started the name Cowbell. He'll still respond to either names! Doesn't have a preference.

He's very extroverted and loves meeting new people, and at first can unsettle people bc of his height and his hooves, but he's just a big cuddle bug and loves making friends. He and Phil are the only ghouls Siblings see unglamoured, as they can't control it better like others can. They both look human despite certain aspects (Spec's wings, Bell's horns and hooves, both of their fangs and claws.) They're genuinely harmless, though!

Exceptttt a few rare times. Bell has only ever killed 3 people before, humans. Phil has a higher count regarding ghouls. Bell was attacked by 2 humans and literally stomped them to death, and still has nightmares about it. The third was when Primo was still an infant and a cardinal had plans to kill him. Bell just lost his shit, putting him in a feral headspace. When the commotion got Sister & Nihil's attention, Bell was covered in gore - and a corpse that looked like it was already in a decomposing process from how ruined it was; but more importantly, Bell just held the biggest smile while holding baby Primo, comforting the infant.

Bluebell is terrified of altercation, but his mates/family comes first before that fear. He's full of love and "cinna-buns"

Hiii angels!! I want to clarify some things about my blog here since i received some hate lately.

○ I'm Autistic so i will reblog tons of autistic related post including my many special interests and if that doesn't make you feel comfortable you should not follow me.

○ I usually heavy reblog every single day for hours, for two main reasons:

- I'm disabled and not able to work, I'm currently living with my parents and i don't have so much to do during the day so i have a lots of time to stay on Tumblr

- I love to search and research for my special interests and when i find them I'm just unable to stop the joy and I mass reblog as a form of stimming i guess? I just can't stop when i like something

So if you're uncomfortable with heavy reblogs you should not follow me

○ I like to talk with other regressors and people in the community, i love answering to asks and making games for them but I'm not good at replying to messages. I will always answer but after hours or days, I'm not angry with you and please don't think that i don't like you. It's just very hard for me communicating in a social way

○ I don't use any tags for food or similarities i just can't think straight, when i reblog I'm mostly in a childlike or dreamy state and sometimes it's even hard to stop to drink or go to the bathroom. I'm sorry but if that makes you uncomfortable you should not follow me

ARLO THOUGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my first reaction to seeing screenshots of Arlo a few days ago was “huh, how odd!”, followed immediately by seeing cool gifs of the music and animation and realizing “ah, it’s that kind of odd ❤️“

(spoilers under cut!)

I’ve been a little low energy so I didn’t get around to watching any trailers but I think that added to the experience, going in completely blind without any expectation made me appreciate it so fully! even just the faceless intro scene tugged at me in a very “we are going to make you feel emotions” way and BOY is that an indicator of the art form.....

everything that followed was like a freaking. 10 hit combo of jokes that made me cackle, character dynamics that made me giddy, design work & animation that made me oooooh, and musical numbers that made me FULL BODY STIM BOP RIGHT ALONG FIRST LISTEN BABY........ hell YEAH I’ve missed 2D animated choreographed diagetic character driven musicals so MUCH!!!!!! lay  me that good good I Want song on me! there are so many scenes that have song-potential and I’m SO glad they included so many, it adapts to modern music & musical styles really REALLY well which is tricky to pull off too, I’m defo looking up the ost!

Arlo himself is so wonderfully written, just.. a good boy with a big heart and a lot of dreams, and that makes his naivety into the kind where you just want to adopt him immediately, support his every whim and comfort him through his inevitable awakenings, which I’m SO glad he found a whole band of people to do for him. literally every character in his found family group owns my HEART and I’m irrevocably attached to them all. we will literally never get sick of a group of ragtag weirdos banding together (and committing crimes!!!! true DND party spirit). BERTIE QUEEN OF MY HEART. I’m going to give Tony a little kiss I’ve waited so long for a little mans like him. and Alia is so SO cute I adore her energy!!

the plot is familiar but follows along so smoothly and delightfully, something about the energy of the setting (BAYOU BEST MOVIE LOCATION), cast chemistry and musical HYPE breathes fresh life into it all... all the little sidestops along the journey and time spent developing emotions and bonds are so worthwhile, and have so much art, soul and FUN poured into them!! that starlit glowing beach scene is absolutely going to stay cemented in my mind forever, that was like.. peak cinematics. I was gushing the entire time :’-)

and on that note man, with this movie being a return to musicals AND having a running thread of music being used to express a whole range of unwordable human emotion, creating countless moments of development, vulnerability, intimacy, comfort and realization... I’m sooo glad it decided to integrate the musical format so strongly, and have it be an integral part to both the protagonist, his relationships AND the overall message! we love this little showman bard alligator........

every freakin scene had me hooked, congrats to colourful stylized animation for being the only medium to ever make NYC seem appealing and wondrous! the cast just going wild in it is that excellent chaos. not to mention capitalism & conformity critiques forever being addictively entertaining in musical form 😔✊ holy WOW that sadtimes Arlo song........ utilized abstract shape and colour and movement and symbol and music style shifts in a way that made me gasp “there’s more??” every minute or so into the song I LOVED IT SO MUCH..... what an emotion

this is one of those movies where the kinds of flaws I have with it are mostly noted out of an intense passion for it, so worth mentioning is: the writing did feel a little slippery starting around the third act, a few miss or mistimed jokes, some things could’ve done with either more fluidity in plot transition (news report, gala quest), resolution (post-Arlo’s rejection perhaps?), buildup (the entrepeneurial discrimination thematic for example) or exploration (WAS REALLY 👀👀 at possible animal hybrid lore???)

the villains naturally made me wanna’ throw fists but could’ve been a little stronger personality/originality wise (BUT. I MUST hand out a solid 10/10 for giant evil furry, holy shit), and fish guy needs to learn to process his trauma in a way that’s kinder to kids. Hank the septapus did it better. I noted that there’s, potential stereotypical imagery with Furlecia? it caught my eye so I’ll look out for voices on that. plus unfortunate big nosed villain, I suppose could be design relevant but it could be shown in another way

the biggest structural flaw though. ARLO’S DAD. I’m pretty intrigued by the way this story played out - naturally the big rejection was anticipated, and while I was :-/ hmmm the entire way through his Dad’s sympathy journey, I was interested to see how they’d explore the idea of the urge for conformity pressing someone into climbing societal hierarchy, and whether he’d be the kind to want to break out of it. sort of a critique in the form of example: ‘this is whack, rejecting it is way better’

and GOSH this is where it brings me some conflicted feelings because. I saw that birdman twist coming a hot minute before its reveal, and as an out-and-proud avian-feathry I was ELATED to be right and have more angsty bird rep, but like. unless there’s more to be said about how this happened, ARE WE JUST GOING TO IGNORE THE FACT THAT THIS MAN SUPPOSEDLY THREW AWAY HIS SON?????????? “my son is gone” “I made a mistake” “I let him go” AM I TO INTERPRET THAT YOU THREW HIM DOWN THE FREAKIN SEWER OR WHAT??? HELLO?? SIR???? WHAT!!!!!! his entire apology scene I was slapping my pillow and yell-whispering “YOU’RE GARBAGE” at the screen LMAO I cannot ABIDE this. what have you become INDEED

anyway. I DO wish their story ended on a note that strayed from the ‘blood family must reunite’ trope but I am really glad they gave Arlo two focused and explicit opportunities to cut ties with him, and affirmed that he would have been just as fulfilled, happy and loved by his found family :’-) that’s good stuff right there. I had a strong feeling about seeing each of the group portrayed and developed more personally and individually, so reading that this’ll be followed by a series is SUPER exciting, not to mention it’ll be in one of my OTHER favourite story locations: pastel carnival-ized sparkly lights rustic seaside attraction town babyyyyy!!! picture me... hand over mouth....... whispering “oh my god......... Bertie wanted to live by the sea” as the credits roll

I get the feeling this might not be a movie that resonates with everyone, and I can definitely feel a lot of room for notes and improvements, but I also kind of just want to focus on.. the immense high of excitement, passion and artistry it took me on (I don’t think I’ve knee-slapped, flappy hand stimmed and whisper-yelled at a screen so much and for so long in a good while LOL) and good, heartfelt, wholesome movie aftertaste this watching has left me with. a good time was had and I hope many others can enjoy it as well :-]]]
