I've only shared glimpses of Ariss & Vasily's "relationship" so this was really fun (& hopefully illuminating ! I can't wait to share more of their story)

Guess where the International Space Station was for the ball dropping @newyorkstate-official ! The ARISS program has been sending slow scan tv images down since the 25 and will run thru the 5 th. A lot of ham radio operators are following it but you don’t need to have an amateur radio license. A scanner will pick up the signal at 145.800 MHz and the shareware MMSSTV or RXSTV will decode. There are loads of websites for predicting and tracking the spacecraft. It wouldn’t hurt to have a 1/4 wave antenna but I bet even if you don’t decode an image you’ll hear the digital squawking from orbit. Happy new year.
