these are organised roughly by how much i'm itching to play them!! most muses have at minimum a slice of life and a genre (supernatural, sci-fi, horror, etc) verse. the first verse listed is their main / default and any others are alternates / by request.

i am open to all kinds of plots, though as ever my preference is romantic connections! currently only looking to ship with men because i'm too gay to function. the ideas listed are just some starting points.

kamran mustafa (riz ahmed) is a softhearted, hardheaded man of the people ⇾ slice of life: formerly homeless, now running an unofficial halfway house in the poorest part of a city, he's all about grassroots action and giving everything he's got to those in need ⇾ dystopian future: an important figure in the rebellion against the elitist powers that be, often throwing himself directly into harm's way for the good of others & ideas: friends to lovers with another grungy weirdo, opposites attract with some corporate dbag

orion kemper (joshua bassett) is a cocky genius with too much money and zero self-restraint ⇾ slice of life: after graduating high school at 14 & college at 18, ri sold an app for a stupid amount of money and has spent the last 4 years dicking around ⇾ supernatural: born werewolf with a permanent sneer at bitten wolves, set to inherit alpha status of his family pack one day (if he doesn't get himself killed first) & ideas: friends to inappropriately cuddle, older men for him to top, someone unimpressed with him

lysander crawshaw (archie renaux) is jaded, paranoid proof that curiosity killed the cat ⇾ supernatural: still recovering from being possessed by belias, a greater demon, lys struggles with the lines between reality, dream and hallucination ⇾ slice of life: raised in a cult, lys brings with him a truckload of trauma, a sprinkling of self-hatred, and a dollop of dang adorable & ideas: someone who is his anchor to reality, someone with a similar experience, someone he can start over with

tiberius cooper (rudy pankow) is brash and loud, but in a cornered animal kind of a way ⇾ horror i: the "final girl" of a group of friends (including his twin brother) who were targeted by a serial killer while on vacation, tib sleeps sitting up holding a knife ⇾ horror ii: after his identical twin brother livestreamed a string of violent crimes (think 'spree'), tib has all but become a recluse for his own safety ⇾ slice of life: having never really recovered from the sudden death of his twin brother, tib covers up his debilitating anxiety by being the most obnoxious guy in the room & ideas: someone who knew him before everything (esp. exes of his twin), someone from a support group, some morbid weirdo who is drawn to the darkness in him now

elliot hawthorne (charlie hunnam) is a soft, sweet nerd who loves to take care of people ⇾ slice of life: a film professor who was recently dumped after five years with his ex, ell's students have been complaining lately that they'd like to watch something other than dardenne brothers movies, thanks & ideas: student or former student, friend who always thought he could do better than his ex, co-worker

beatrix calhoun (marisa tomei) is a trainwreck in motion, barely keeping up appearances ⇾ celebrity: a well-known musician who has been active since her early twenties, beatrix is still in love with songwriting and touring, leaving no room for anything else ⇾ slice of life: an artist who manages to charm the pants (often literally) off various wealthy / connected people to keep her afloat & ideas: fan, young musician who looks up to her, touring band member, ex who is also in the industry, producer, step-son, kid's friend

dandelion corrigan (tom hardy) is a cynical witch who believes his family is cursed ⇾ supernatural: an actual witch, with an actual curse, piecing together an existence in the woods making herbal remedies and mild infatuation potions for the locals ⇾ slice of life: an oddball from a pagan-ish family who makes his living selling things from his little farm & making ointmints, certain he'll never be happy & ideas: let's break this curse yo

ava blake (sarah michelle gellar) is an enigma at best and a nuisance at worst ⇾ espionage: a well-trained assassin / spy, ava has discovered a nefarious plot within her organisation that is no good very bad ⇾ slice of life: a single mom very much inspired by lorelai gilmore, ava runs a cafe / bakery / bookstore called the nook and has no time for your nonsense & ideas: rival spy / double agent, normal guy caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, another single parent

athanasios wilde (ben barnes) is very, very bored, to the point of insanity ⇾ supernatural: an immortal shapeshifter, ath's lived hundreds of lives in hundreds of bodies ⇾ crime: a significant general in his father's crime family, ath is a particularly unsettling kind of ruthless & ideas: another cursed immortal or someone seeking to become immortal, unsuspecting normie drawn into his bullshit

peregrine talbot (brenton thwaites) is extremely polite, but probably making fun of you ⇾ supernatural: a fae prince, beholden to the 'seelies can't lie' rule, perry is fascinated by mortals, occasionally living among them ⇾ slice of life: trust fund kid with a scholar's mind, perry is actually nice, as long as you don't interrupt him & ideas: mortal who falls into the fae realm, supernatural creature who needs his help, classmate from college, friend from the wrong side of the tracks

taliesin rafferty (darren barnet) is me proving trans guys can be fuckboy dbags too ⇾ slice of life: tal vibes are scrolling grindr while he's on a date with you, sneaking out while you're in the shower, pretending to forget your name so you don't get attached & ideas: best friends with feelings, the guy who sees through his bullshit, the guy he chases long enough to fall for

phoenix dawson (mason gooding) is a genuine, no shit, actual nice guy with no trauma ⇾ slice of life: a dance teacher with a heart of gold, nix believes in random acts of kindness, smiling at strangers, and telling the people you love how much you love them loudly and often & ideas: long term boyfriend / husband for domestic cuteness, trainwreck best friend he's always there to pick up when he falls, guy who bullied him in high school

edoardo "eddie" mancini (frank grillo) is the typical salt of the earth every man, doing his best to get by ⇾ slice of life: after the tragic death of his wife, eddie is finally forced to confront the secret he's always kept about his sexuality and hopefully figure out some kind of happiness (while his kids [24 - 38] mock him for being uncool) ⇾ any other genre: bewildered mechanic stumbles into supernatural shit / ends up in the apocalypse / some other shit, chaos ensues & ideas: someone from his past he once hooked up with, a friend of one of his kids, please lord let him get picked up at like a farmer's market or some shit, customer who leaves his number, barista who writes flirty messages on his cup, etc

We focus on traditional and folkloric witchcraft, animism, chaos magic, secular witchcraft, magical herbs and plants, queer witchcraft, tarot & Divination, witchcraft & magic in politics, history, culture, and social & racial justice,  and aspects of non-Wiccan forms of witchcraft, magic, and paganism.

Pre-Covid the Portland Button Works primarily made custom pinback button. Selling zines and books was secondary and more of a hobby for me to share things I’d like to read. Right now our business is pivoting to focus on books and zines that people can read in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Some items are from well known witchcraft and occult publisher and some are titles from small publishers with interesting items I don’t see in other shops but I’m excited to elevate.

honestly,     i know i technically have nothing to complain about    (  steady,   well paying job,    a safe space where i’m not being hurt,   food on the table and a bf and cat who love me   )     but the whole state of the world has been taking a toll on me lately,     i’m not going to lie.    i guess it has its ups and downs     -      i’ll get there.     always.     but that doesn’t mean that it’s smooth sailing at the moment. 

2. if you were someone else’s muse, how would your mun describe you?

orion this question is just    ...     unfair   ?     i guess if i was someone else’s muse that would mean that they’d like me enough to put effort into me      -       probably aloof,     hardworking,    mentally unstable,    kind     (   maybe   ?     )       putting the needs of others before herself    (   absolutely   )  

3. if you could only recommend me three songs, movies or books to get to know you better, which would they be?

i’m going to go with songs for this one because songs are just easier for me but uhh  :    in the blood    -     john mayer   (   i mean those lyrics ?     welp   )  farther along  -   josh garrels   (   religion mention for this one tbh   )   february song   -   josh groban    (   and no i won’t elaborate   )

4. what was it that first inspired you to write? what inspires you today?

tbh i can’t really remember.    i think i have been writing for most of my childhood.    actually,   i found a little notebook about a week ago that had my writing in it from when i was  nine.     but then again,    most of my childhood and teenage years are a blur so i genuinely have no idea.    i think my greatest inspiration has always been to create a little bit of magic     -      a kinder world for me to live in.     i want to create,    to build and to leave,    and i think that i can do that through writing. 

5. if you had to put together a team of 5 fictional characters plus yourself to save the world, who would you choose and why?

gilderoy lock/hart,  archie ken/nedy,   pavel che/kov,    penelope gar/cia   (  from crim/inal mi/nds  )    and  jask/ier   (  from the witcher  )     because i genuinely think those five are great characters,    while also still being incredibly kind to the world    (   yes the jury is still out on gil but he gets a pass for now  )    and when i think of saving the world    ;     i don’t think about kicking ass or being physically strong or having cool powers.    i think about being kind,   spreading kindness and hope and uplifting people.   we change the world like that.    

6. what is your favorite fictional trope? least favorite?

i don’t know if this classifies as a trope but     sign me up    for a good anti-hero.     especially if this anti-hero functions  /  can be regarded as a mirror image of a typical hero character.     that’s the good stuff.    i demand a direct iv line of that content.     i’m over love triangles tbh.    i’m sorry,  but it’s the year 2021 and i’ve had   enough   ! 

7. what unpopular opinion do you have toward the rpc or tumblr?

how long do you have   ?       i think my biggest   ‘unpopular’  opinion would be that we’re here to have fun and do our thing      -      elitism on this site is so dumb and it should be eradicated.    also,    kill the idea that someone can’t be proud of their own work.    be as proud as you want over your craft.  it’s yours,   and you absolutely get to stick feathers up your butt if you want.    you work hard.    you deserve it   !

8. if you could spend one day with your main muse (or your muse of choice), what would that be like?

i’d like to spend a day with gil and    no good will come from that.    

9. if you found yourself in one fictional universe of your choosing, which would it be and why?

lord of the rings.     absolutely.    yeah man i want to get made into a kebab by an orc or something.   i just want to look at dwarves first okay      -     i wouldn’t last a full day in that universe but it will be   so worth it    !     

10. a character you’ve always wanted to write?

at this moment i think i’m writing all the characters i’ve ever wanted to write    ?        if i consider writing them,    they’re already added.     that’s how it works.    that’s the tea.    that’s how we’re going to roll on this blog.    i have zero shame left.    this is it baby and you signed up for this. 

11. what are five things that spark joy for you?

my friends.   my cat.    a good sea shanty    (   don’t call me out i will do it myself   )    a good home-cooked meal.    the smell of freshly cut grass.

Kitten weekend turned into kittens weekend! We finally brought home Archimedes (Archie for short, the orange one) and Orion the Hunter (the gray one). The boys are settling in very nicely. As a new cat mom, I'm 100% not embarrassed about the obscene number of photos I've taken of these two munchkins in the last 24 hours. They're just so darned cute!

The game didn’t hold much information compared to the Kickstarter itself, but there are still many things to note! Click here to check out the previous notes from the Kickstarter!

- The LLC developing the game is called NEO-C Productions, a surprise to no one if you’ve seen some of his older work where he would use that title. - The game can be controlled by either a keyboard of a game controller, though the controller is preferred. (Sidenote: not all the controls are listed correctly. For keyboard, the Spacebar is used for interacting with characters/objects, and the Esc button is the only way to back out of the menu - the right arrow key is an error.) - If you do not attack within 30 seconds, you will automatically Defend. - You can guard enemy attacks by pressing down before they land. - If you choose Neutral, a random elemental move is chosen. - If a party member dies, once the battle is over they’ll come back to life with 1HP. - If all of your party members die, it simply says “GAME OVER” and you restart from the first sector with all previous enemies defeated. However, your health will be back to what it was before your last fight. - Here are all of the known attacks! Alpha's moves Neutral Humanoid Brawler Orion Discus: Throw an energy disc at an enemy. Dumplin's moves Neutral Morphological Spellcaster - Strikes with a big punch. - Apocalypse Pose: Psychs himself up and raises his Attack Power by 1 and Magic by 2. - Last Blast: Releases a yellow light bomb that affects all party members. - Pizza Slicer: Throws slices of pizza at the opponent. - Flashes a bright light, harms and can paralyze all party members. - Father-Daughter Last Blast (Infernal): A spirit bomb explosion that detonates on all players.

Puddin's moves Neutral Morphological Brawler - Strikes with a flurry of punches and kicks. - Explosive Orb: Shoots a spirit bomb at the target. - Flying Drop-Kick: Flies into the target and kicks them. - Moonstone Barrage (Crystal): Shoots rocks at all party members.

Skeight's moves Technical Humanoid Brawler - Strikes with breakdancing kicks. - Fabulous Flip: Performs a trick to raise his Attack Power by 3 and Speed by 1. - Electro-yo (Technical): Throws his bladed yoyo at all party members.

Archy's moves Neutral Humanoid Weaponary - Strikes with his bow. - Star Arrow (Neutral): Shoots a normal arrow at a foe. - Light/Fire/Ice/Poison Arrow: Shoots an elemental arrow that is strong against the element you chose that can engage its status effect upon impact.

Rockoon's moves Natural Animalistic Brawler - Strikes with his claws and tail. - Bomb-Rock Rush: Throws a barrage of rock bombs at one party member. - Bomb-Rock Frenzy: Throws a barrage of rock bombs at all party members.

Ballug's moves Natural - Rev-Up: Rolls into a ball and increases Speed by 2. - Rollover: Revs up and attacks an enemy.

Foliroach's moves Natural - Strikes at the foe.

16-Beet's moves Natural - Strikes with its stinger. - Stinger Storm: Shoots stingers at all party members. - Poison Stinger: Shoots a stinger coated in fiery poison that can curse the opponent.

Not many items were available, but they are: Crimson Fruit: Heals 25 HP. - 10 count Heavenly Chime: Revive a fallen party member with half health. - 5 count Mana Twinkle: Restores 25% of the party’s MP. - 5 count

- If you do not attack within 30 seconds, you will automatically Defend. - You can guard enemy attacks by pressing down before they land. - If you choose Neutral, a random elemental move is chosen. - If a party member dies, once the battle is over they’ll come back to life with 1HP. - If all of your party members die, it simply says “GAME OVER” and you restart from the first sector with all previous enemies defeated. However, your health will be back to what it was before your last fight.

Okay, I think that’s more than enough notes for one small chunk of gameplay! Wonder what other things lie in store as the game development progresses!

1. I am very very interested in Winged Hussars as an aesthetic. I am actually writing a story where a sci-fi future Winged Hussar is the main hero.

2. I have two cats called Archie and Larkie. Their names are actually Archimedes Luna Diana Jiji and Larkon. I was nine-ish when I gave Archie his name.

3. I used to roleplay a post-apocalyptic version of Liechtenstein from Hetalia when I was in my early teens. It was hilariously awful.

4. I usually have 10+ things checked out from the library at once. The online ordering thing the library has is the best thing ever.

5. My favorite ship is Orion/Lightray

6. Someday I want to be a contortionist. I can already do some things with my hands and fingers that cause some people to freak out.

Seon Adventures Episode 17: Home Intrusions

Last we left off the Cultbusters, the adventurers had been ambushed in their sleep by a Elf Mage and his Death Dog, who put them in a tricky situation. With Amelia down and in need of healing, stat, where do we go from here?! (I mean, you see the image, so that’s not much of a secret...)

On Belli’s turn, she attempts to cast Polymorph on the elven man. With much gusto, he shrugs that off with a counterspell, which in turn leaves Belli with few options to proceed. She chooses to cast a healing word on Amelia, raising the Air Genasi Monk back to her feet at 4 HP and begs her to back away from the magic user.

While  Amelia feels like she just woke up from her best sleep ever, Ficus charges in. Using his daggers, he swings, one after the other, he attacks the target of his choice and, though the first blow connects with the man’s collar bone, that causes him to flinch back and avoid any further damage.

Disengaging, he backs away from the wounded elf....

Intimidated as all hell by Luctan,  the dog lays down and plays dead, submitting.

(And OOC we have a discussion if this makes the dog Luctan’s pet now. And somehow, we end up having to bring up the point that the BABY is not a pet!)

Mournimar’s turn comes and he climbs atop the 5ft rock before him with a run and jump. Up there, he aims and fires with the Savon Bow upon the elf. The arrow strikes true and pierces through the man’s stomach. He stumbles, very nearly gone.

The second arrow fires and pings off a rock, missing. Thinking quickly, Mournimar ducks for cover behind the rock’s safety shape.

Burk’s turn comes.

With his good perception, he finds where the man was standing at, thanks to the noise and visuals of Ficus and Mournimar’s actions. He charges around the corner and swings a finishing move on the man with his Minotaur Axe.

Upon a well aimed strike, Burk explodes the man’s head with impact. Blood and brains and flesh and bone fly everywhere, while  the Death dog whimpers and disappears.

The fight over and done with, Amelia gets showered with love and affection and heals from everyone, before Luctan and Burk loot the body.

Burk finds 200 gold. And he finds a piece of paper with “weird scribbles.” There’s a strange dagger at the man’s hip with an intricate pattern. Also silver bands, like Ficus’. Thusly, Burk asks if Ficus knows the man.

Ficus shakes his head, not able to  recognize him. Especially now with his head a splattered. It’s an independent art form, what they do, so nah.

Luctan takes the dagger and paper, but has difficulty finding the Focus the wizard had been using during the battle.

Belli has much more luck than, well, Luck, with that as she finds his component pouch. Taking his cloak as well, she feels bougie as hell. Which only adds to the matter as she finds 40platinum bulging from the wizard’s socks.  Belli shares the platinum with the party. Each getting 8 platinum for their woes.

Identifying the focus… It’s a small crystal, small glass cone. Seemingly what he had been using for his area of effect spells. But that’s not all.  A slight magical aura comes from the cloak and dagger. Identifying the latter item, she learns it’s identity as The Colak of Elvenkind. An enchanted cloak, which makes it’s user harder to spot on the field of battle (i.e. advantage on Stealth checks).

(After some Fantasy Costco jokes are made...) the party decide on who gets the cloak. Given the noise his armor makes, when moving, they ultimately agree to hand it over to Luctan.

As for the former item... Belli learns that it’s a Blink Dagger. Once per day it can be thrown in any direction and called back to the attuned person without having to waste any actions, beyond thinking it so.

And after some further consideration, Luctan is the one to get the item as well! The boy does love him his sharpy weapons. And it fits the aesthetic with a purple color to the blade itself.

That out of the way, they wonder what to do with the body. As they do so, Ficus checks the body, a bit more deeply as he does an incission on the man’s chest, pulling out a bloodspattered rock with an emblem from inside him.

As Luctan casts his first Prestidigitation to clean that off, Ficus reveals that the rock is an anti-scrying rock. Anyone attuned to it cannot be snooped upon by watchful eyes.

After changing hands a couple of times, Burk gets the rock, receiving it from Luctan, who had received it from Ficus..

Everyone eventually goes back to sleep, deciding to give the would-be assassin an air burial and, in the morning everyone has breakfast 

Upon Luctan’s request, Belli sends a message to Nash to check with her how things were going with Dak, the Changeling Cleric..

“What’s up, what’s going on, how you doing?”

Nash is confused. 

With her acting abilities, Belli copies Nash and gives Luctan an explanation on what Nash said. Thusly, Luck facepalms.

(OOC, there was a bit where Belli by accident said the word phone and the tiefs go  “What’s a phone?!”)

Luck gives instructions to help Belli with the message. “Hello, Nash. This is Belli, asking for Luctan. How’s Dak, what’s he doing?”

Nash wakes up, like “Oh my god, it was real.

“Everything seems fine and normal. Everything’s out of the ordinary, besides the market being wild.”  is her message back to Belli, who refers it to Luctan. Given the Nexus Volcano and demon attack, it made sense that the market would be off kilter now. Hopefully the druids and rangers of The Forestheart Bretheren helped the situation.

Luctan notices that Mournimar isn’t doing well. Most of everyone does as well. Given the way he had bent over and in pain, as well as  Mournimar’s armor being semi-scorched off, it was clear that his abdomen was hit bad by the bastard from the other night.

Belli for that matter also seemed to have received some bad burns from the Fireball the previous night as well.  Luctan is startled by the burns of Belli and Mournimar and just casts Healing word, like a doof.

Now that the party had time to actually talk and think about it, they were curious about Luctan’s sudden burst of magicks and glowy demeanor whenever he’d cast.

Belli: “I mean, would anyone be surprised if Luctan’s a litteral angel?!”

“But I’m a tiefling.” Luctan would respond.

Mournimar and Ficus insight check Luctan on whether he made a deal with a deity or something. But given their low rolls, they honestly have no idea. Joining on the insight checks,  Amelia is pretty sure he’s not lying when he says he’s made no deal at all.

This somehow sparks further conversations about Ficus’ attraction to Luctan and how apparently the Narah family wanna bang lots of despicable people?! There are many sibling shenanigans to be had between the two, with Belli ultimately making Ficus and Mournimar have to defend themselves as she states “Don’t trust the rogues!”

Upon Luctan casting Prestidigitation on the cloak again, to give it a purple and blue look, Amelia tries to speak to him in Primordial, but alas, he doesnt’understand a word she says.

Well fed, well in spirits, the party get back in their carriage and continue on their journey to Crystalgate and beyond~!

On the final leg of this path, they reach the rich subburbs outside the city itself. Where all the famous celebrities of the country reside. Belli notices Fantasy Freddy Mercury’s place. The party see some unbranded guard patrols going around. Checking them out for a moment, before they just continue on their way. Luckily, Luctan cleaned up everyone, retroactively.

It takes about 15 minutes to half an hour before they reach the gates.

It’s pretty instant she recognizes the large gates with N, split open when the gate does. A small forest blocks the view of the house and they can see the roof of the building and for everyone, but Luctan, this is the biggest place they’ve ever seen. About the same size as the city hall in Avantea.

For Belli, the warm nostalgia of home is almost as warming as the knowledge of what’s inside is chilling. Belli is quietly running her hands on the N.

“ What kind of rich assholes live here?” – Burk. 

“We did.” – Belli.

Ficus pricks himself on a small spike of metal and the gates swing open. (To keep out the other side of the family). Special magicks.

This is the home of people, who know their children come home less clean, hence,when the party enter, they are immediatelly cleaned from any dirt that Luctan would have missed along the way, thanks to the Prestidigitation gate.

The forest was an illusion. The mansion is before them. Exageration, but it’s big as hell!

Six fountains on each side. Each small fountain presents an Half-Orc child of varying ages and personalities. Two, identical, are the twins. The child on the right, closest to the house has been vandalized.

- That’s Ficus’.

Belli puts a hand on his forearm. The twins were PISSED! The face is scraped off, the arms are chipped.

After Burk makes a little jab at Ficus, the rogue answers back: “ You may be wide, but you’re still small and I will smother you in your sleep.” Bold words, given that Burk has the strength to use him as a javelin.

While the Narahs talk, Luctan passes Amelia the medalion of Keemis, which she promptly puts it on like a baller.

As they advance ahead, they focus on the last fountain. The biggest fountain in the middle is of Mr. and Mrs. Narah, with baby Belli in the middle.

This all used to seem so big. I never thought I’d see this place be so quiet.”   Belli looks at the fountain of her parents and herself. Her dad, the Orc, her mom, the elf.

With the siblings’ encouragement, Belli moves onward and the party follow her to the double door. The door is unlocked, as she had left it.

In the first little entryway, they see the hooks for cloaks and hats. They see some family items, dusty as hell. Belli runs her hand through them, nostalgia overflowing her heart like a fine wine cup.

  A large set of tables stand long and empty at the front of the party as this is a big ass dining room. Dusty and all that, they yearn to be sat upon once more and warmed with the company of a loving family.

Belli is quiet as she walks around, quieter than she has ever been seen.

As she observes her home, years after she herself had abandoned it, Mournimar joins Amelia in ivestigating for anything that would seem “off”. What they notice is the ash of the fireplace. It’s ash, yeah, nothing magical about it, but the problem was that it was fairly recent. In the last few, at that.

The spot in the room they are in, hasn’t been touched in a while, but the ash is recent.

As she goes to explore another room,  Belli begs Burk not to break anything.

Burk, silent at this request, goes for an entryway on the right. There’s a door in his general direction and he goes for it, Rimefang at his shoulder. Opening the door, the two conclude on three things.

1. The room is a Water Closet.

2. It stinks.

And 3. They have just failed a con save, because for about 6 seconds, they feel themselves poisoned.

Belli enters the kitchen. The chef used to love working here.

Remembering, Belli notices how the fruit is nasty as hell, but there are some crackers and rations, beanfeasts. Much to be concerned, there seems to be way less of it than since she left. “Weird.”

As everyone picks a place to investigate, Burk checks what he finds to be the music room, full of varying instruments, fitting for a family of Bards to hold onto. There are many kazoos involved. Looking around, Burk’s nose catches that horrible smell again, this time coming from the piano next to him. The stench comes from the keys, but evidently there is nothing that could have made that possible.

He plays the piano and it’s horrible.

Amelia joins Belli and Ficus, reassuring the siblings as they draw closer to the domain of the Narrah Patriarch and Matriarch.

Belli’s hands are shaking asshe tries to open the door, but not really getting there. With Ficus’ help, they get in what looks to be an arts and crafts room.

And she notices it, smells so bad of rot. Paints and dyes, having expired over the years. This is where they were encouraged to pick up hobbies and explore who they wanted to be.

Painting, sculpting or that one time someone wanted to pick up kickboxing, there’s even a dummy inside.

The family study is beyond this and so is the bedroom, which was usually off-limits, for obvious reasons.

“Ficus, are you sure you wanna go on? I’m scared.”

“I mean, I abandoned these people long enough, really.”

They encourage each other to go in.

And do so.

Belli steadily makes her way towards the family bedroom, followed by Ficus.

She walks past the study, where her parents read and stuff. Scattered across the table in an unorganized manner is paperwork of contracts, receipts for gigs they were to play.

It makes sense to them, probably, but to everyone else? Nah. They totally had a system they worked off of.

Many a memories of the family, all of them together, come back to them as they open that final door...

She’s not sure if it makes her happier or less happy that they are still where she left them. It’s almost like their gaze is still on them. Belli is visibly shaken. She takes a step towards her family, her legs give out and she drops to her knees, beginning to sob.

- Ficus is hiding his face behind his fringe and sits himself on the bed, grabs the hand of their mom and he cries as well.

Amelia joins in. Them weeping is her siren call to come in.

Amelia comforts Belli as best she can, damn it! They are so in this moment that... the moment they hear shuffling from the study, they almost don’t hear it. But they do!

When she goes in, she notices a trail of paperwork falling off, like someone brushed it off the desk and Belli must make a Con save. She’s too emotionally distraught to be phased by the smell that follows.

  “Who’s here?!” – Belli shouts and demands, which prompts the other half of the party to join her in the study. All but Ficus, who remains seated in the bedroom.

Luctan, Burk and Mournimar run inside and they hear increased breathing of something big in the room. Flickering, out of invisibility, is a huge, hulking horned beast with spikes along his back and hulking mouth.

Mournimar makes a con save and is poisoned temporarily.

Mournimar screams in infernal, demanding to know what that thing is. Belli does the same in orcish. The thing speaks in abyssal. Belli hears guttural groaning, it sounds like vomiting and snarling at the same time.

The fight begins with Burk charging in, swinging his axe at the beast, hitting it several times, causing gashes on the hell beast’s body. But alas.  The stench really fucks with everything, giving those, who have entered the room in the monster’s viscinity disadvantage.

The thing is not able to be hit so easily, with the stink getting in the way. Frustrated, Amelia strikes with her gloves and hits the fucker. AND!  Using her Open Hand Technique, Amelia knocks the creature prone.

Belli is beyond furious and screams with all the anger and fear and grief she has in her.

Without even thinking, she casts Shatter again.

The irony is that the only thing to make the save, other than Amelia is the thing. Burk, Mournimar and Belli take 11 damage. Amelia and the creature take 5.

Belli copies the creature’s voice, some weird dialect and Mournimar basically hears that it claimed this place as it’s territory. Belli is enraged. She will have none of that!    Luctan recognizes that people have fought these before, he had seen them. This demonic toad like monster was a fiend in nature.

Tanking with the con save, he doesn’t get poisoned. But the smell is still pretty bad, so, as he comes in, he casts Prestiditation, before pointing at the creature.

“You may be a hell beast, but we? We are the Cultbusters!” and he accidentally casts Bless on  Burk, Mournimar and Amelia.

Action surge follows, Luctan tris to use a Hellish Rebuke on the large red creature, but in it’s stead something else comes to his mind. Sacred Flame, but the creature ends up succeeding on it’s save!

Luctan pulls out West Wounder and East Ender as he gets on the table, before the being, known as a Hezrou, releases a monstrous roar, which summons six lesser creatures from firey portals that open on the ground.

Based on an educated guess, the tieflings recognize the monsters as Dretches.

Inferior demons, Luctan  had encountered some, but not for long since they’re fairly weak. The creature roars again.

Mournimar pulls his shortsword out and goes for the attack on the dretch to his front And then repeats the attack with the sword. Hitting with the help of the bless. At the end of his turn, he casts Hunter’s Mark on the Hezrou.

Burk attacks and thanks to Luctan’s energy thing, he strikes true. With Fury of the Small, he hits even harder then and then another powerful hit adds up to further damage the large monster.

With his bonus action, he donkey punches the Dretch behind him. Burk cloks the dretch in the back of the head and it falls over.

Amelia strikes with a mighty gloved punch, finding the good shit, decking the thing in it’s wounds.

( “Ames is real good at fisting gashes.” – Cat, OOC)

As a bonus action, she uses her quarterstaff to smack the dretch closest to Belli, focusing it’s ire on herself as she harms it nice and good.

The strikes continue and she hits hard enough to make one of it’s eyes explode, blood and gore flying everywhere by the end as she finishes it off with a roundhouse kick, decapitating it. The battle gets chaotic as hell.

While Mournimar sets a creature on fire as a response to the two deretches at his side slashing at him, Belli points a finger at the Hezrou and chants “ You’re nothing but slime that I’ll crush beneath my heel. “

And promptly turns the Hezrou into a slug.

Intimidated by the Bard’s magic and her words that follow, one of the dretches teleports away through a gate, terrified as all hell by the half-orc.

As the others tear to shreds the remaining dretches, they are left with but one real target to worry about. The now transformed Hezrou.

After some deliberations on how to proceed, Burk picks up the slug. Most of the party decide to finish it off, while Belli goes to check on her brother’s mental state.

So, lead by Burk,the rest of the Cultbusters go outside.

Burk elaborates that he wanted to finish things here, outside, because he wanted to hold onto the promise he had made to Belli when they had first seperated in the mansion.

Everyone gets into position as Burk sets the slugged Hezrou in between the four of them.

On the count of three, they attack.

Burk swings the axe, Amelia strikes with her fists, Mournimar fires the bow from a distance and Luctan attempts that Sacred Flame again (I seriously need to raise the boy’s Charisma for that DC check > A <;;;)

All their attacks combine to a whole 30 damage on the creature, which immediatelly changes back. It looks hurt. And pissed the fuck off.

Regardless, Burk just strikes with blow after blow upon the thing, hitting it with his axes. It’s almost like chopping wood, really. Going around it and hitting certain areas, spilling blood. The thing wobbles on it’s last legs.

Then comes the monk’s turn.

Amelia stares at him, the guy who dared try and take her friend’s home.  Basically, fuck this dick. She strikes him once, then again. And again and again and again! Blow after blow, Amelia is merciless in her assault on the fiend.

The Power Of Kyle compels her (CHUG THAT MOUNTAIN DEW)

Amelia finishes the thing off with a powerful bash. Almost in slow motion, she jumps and elbows the Hezrou in the snoot. On the drop back down she knees him in the jaw. It bites it’s own tongue out, which flies off.

Dead and falling to the ground, it turns to goup whch spills on the four of them. Not a problem as Luctan casts Prestidigitation almost as quick as theyget splashed, like on some Nikleodeon game show.

As the party was finishing business, Belli had been checking on Ficus.

Ficus is glazed over. He looks dead to the world.

Belli walks over to him and puts a hand on his shoulder. “Ficus, can you hear me?” There’s a very slight nod. “There was a fight in the other room. Looks like some demons were living here for a while.”

“You know, when I thought we were gonna go back to face our demons here, I didn’t think it would be literally." There’s a slight pause. “I have no clue why I came back here.”

“You came here, you wanted to come home.”

“Is this home?”

“Home was where the twins would set a giant scavenger hunt for us, where mum would readto us and tell us the most amazing stories. We were happy, there was music and laughter and family and I-I could’ve probably stayed here as a kid. I didn’t have to leave. We had food, I-I could’ve gone for help, but I just left and I ran away like you did, because I didn’t think I could make a difference. And I still don’t think I can.”

Can she?

Belli looks at the petrified rock that was once her family... And something clicks in her head. A thought. An arcane thought at that.

In all this mess, adrenaline and all, her brain going faster than it has in a long time. She knows that there are divine magicks that can restore people, despite all kinds of awful circumstances. It’s a very high level she’s after, but maybe she could fix this, or get someone to fix it.

Higher level than someone like Nash. But with the right friends, she could maybe get them back.

“ You know, Ficus. I don’t think it’s over for us yet.”  she smiles.

“Ugh, I gotta go through more shit?!”

I think we could bring them back if we have the right help. I don’t know who or where to even start, but it’s got to be better, than living your life, thinking you failed the people, who mattered to you must.”

The mom statue is semi broken… Belli understands this. They might not be a full family again, but it’ll be better than the current situation.  Belli will definitely find out who did this and she will kill them.  Ficus will want to join this vengeance quest.

She takes out the gemstone and puts it in her mother’s broken hand. “We’re not done here. We’re not done, Ficus.”

The light will shine upon them.

"I’m totally gonna steal some of their shit, though.” Ficus says, brightened up some.

Belli begs Ficus to hide some things in his room, in case Luck wanders in there. Much to Ficus’ horror, he realizes that his room was kept exactly the same.Which brings the man to make a dash for his chambers.

As the others finish things off, Belli goes to her old room. It feels so weird to her how small the room is now.

With the Hezrou dead and gone, Archie rides on Morgan’s back, while Luctan brings in the horses and carriage.

Before they can finish the ride to Crystalgate, the party decide to take a breather inside the mansion for a bit, get their heart rates down to normal again.

Up in the hallway, the walls are lined up with the family in all their ages. Starts with cheap caricatures of Mr. and Mrs. Narrah. Going full circle we get realistic artistic stuff with the whole family.

There’s an obvious missing picture of Ficus.  As Belli explains, she shows them the bar on the upper floor as well, in case they’re up for some drinks.

While the others chill outside, Belli brings the tieflings to Ficus’ room. Ficus, who is in the middle of trying to hide all his shit. He was tearing the posters off and apart. Too bad he didn’t consider his sister’s skills and moxxy as Belli casts Minor Illusion and recreates the posters.

The posters show the openness of Ficus’ sexuality and his exploration.

Mourni just drops to the ground, looking under the bed, while the Narrahs have a Mage Hand rivalry over him.

They accidentally break a box of thigs;;; Ficus’ belongings, lots of kinky things of Ficus’ stash.

Let’s just say Ficus has a healthy interest in anathomy.  But the siblings definitely agree that their brother Keem had the most porn of the kids. The first singer of the family.

Rather than laugh at Ficus, Luctan just chuckles, amused at Ficus’ opennes. He appreciates this and finds him sweet.

Then Belli drops the bombshell.

They have hottubs further down the floor.

Luctan is required to wear a bathing suit for the hot tub, though.

“I am a free spirit!” proclaims Luctan, protesting as he holds the elf baby under arm, having pickedh im back up from the arts and crafts room he had left the youngster in, before joining the fight.

- Pretty soon enough, everyone joins inside the hottub in the far right part of the floor. As Burk teaches Rimefang how to doggy paddle, Mournimar starts a bit of a splashing war with Luctan, who eventually gives in.

Amelia just relaxes with Archie, while Belli tries to bribe Luctan with money to shave his beard off.

It almot works, as Luctan’s  greedy streak shows itself, but the deal falls through

It doesn’t take long for Mournimar and Belli to start trying to outperform each other with cannonball dives in the large tub, while Luctan goes to a more secluded part of the floor, in the opposite tub, across the corridor, where he is joined by Ficus.

All is well.

Even the baby gets to relax, floating on a ring.

Once they take their good break, the party get dressed and leave the mansion, closing the door after themselves shut. And they move on the path to Crystalgate.

They are a day out from Crystalgate.

Given the area around Crystalgate is planes, pretty much as they step out of the estate the mansion was on, the shape of the huge city… for all of them this is the hugest settlement they’ve seen.

Belli had been here before as a child, naturally, but still it was freaking enormous.

The walls are a good 60ft high, even above that they can see three huge towering spires. Twisted in shape. Double helix, almost, but not quite spiral-y. Three spirals in parallel. Further to the north, left of the spirals are lots of tops of taller buildings, huge clusters of buildings, taking huge portions of the city.

Luctan climbs the top of the carriage and just stares ahead into the city. Somewhere in there, the Gentlemen hold his limbs.

Mournimar joins him up there and gives him an empassioned encouraging speech.

“Bro, that’s gay."- Ficus.

“Yeah, no shit.” - Mournimar.

Luctan stares ahead. “I’m coming for you.”

The Wheel Of Time Keeps Spinning. Let’s Rock.

We travel through the night. Mournimar, half-asleep, taps Luctan’s shoulder and points out constellations. Finally, some fucking peace.

Going deep into inner roads of the outer city, the party ultimately decide to take a rest inside the Crusty Challice inn for the night. A shady inn, where no questions need be asked.

As they get closer within Crystalgate, Amelia makes a Wisdom save ( 23 – 6), much like she had done in the morning, after they took off from the ambush spot.

For a brief second Amelia feels lightheaded, but she shakes it off immediately.

Room arrangements are made. Burk takes a room for himself and Rimefang, Belli, Orion, Mournimar and Morgan get one together, Ficus takes a room seperately and Luctan and Amelia are to hang out. Purple teeeam~!

And as the lot of them go to bed, the episode comes to an end.

Chapter Three - You Said Forever

Author’s Note: I made an angst series using sad songs, ofc I had to use driver’s license eventually! Also, although the characters have gotten a bit older, I’m still using Andrew Garfield and Timmy Chalamet as the face claims! I hope y’all enjoy this chapter, it’s a big one!!

If the decrepit walls of 12 Grimmauld Place could talk, they would tell the tales of misery and anguish. The house had not seen much happiness since it’s construction, especially during the period Walburga, Orion, and their children inhabited it. It was only following the deaths of all of Sirius’ family that he took up residence there with you when the anguish was displaced with joy, if only for a short period. It’s no wonder that you moved to a cabin in the middle of nowhere with Remus following the events of October 31st.

Standing in the front entry once more, the ghosts haunting the dwelling seemed to be whispering unintelligible warnings against proceeding further into the house. You could hear the shrieking of Walburga’s painting upstairs, a familiar nuisance that had your blood boiling in an instant. Your husband’s arm draped protectively across shoulders as he rubbed soothing circles with his thumb was the only thing keeping you sane at that moment in time. 

Through the open door at the end of the hall you could see the face of Sirius Black, the light in his eyes slowly returning as he spots two of his favourite people in the world. He quickly stood, rushing out the door to embrace you both in a warm hug as you dropped your trunks to the floor. He held the both of you close and tight, afraid that should he let go, he would wake up alone in his cell once more. 

The Order reuniting was the perfect distraction for both you and your husband, your recent unemployment resulting in a sense of unease in both your minds. Luckily, both Sirius and yourself had inherited enough money that you needn’t worry about working, but the void that your children left when they returned to Hogwarts the following year was certainly hard to fill. Summer break couldn’t come soon enough for any of you. 

Towards the end of that summer the Weasleys came to stay, Molly and Arthur bringing their four youngest, meaning that mischief lay just around every corner. About a week after their arrival was when Hermione showed up, the same day that Moody had taken a small group to retrieve Harry from the Dursleys.

Hearing the opening door, you rushed from the kitchen where the meeting had been taking place to see that Arthur had returned with the young girl who he’d picked up from her muggle household.

“ Professor (Y/L/N)!” She smiled, lugging her cart behind her with one hand while the other cradled her ginger cat. 

“Oh please, Hermione, I’m not your teacher anymore.” You said. “(Y/N) is fine.” You knew the girl had seen you as a role model, both academically as a skilled teacher but also following the story Harry had detailed to her about how you’d worked for the Order to relay Death Eater secrets to them. You can still remember the slap across the head she’d given Ron after he let her secret slip during class, the young girl embarrassed that you knew how she idolized you.

“The rest of the kids are just upstairs if you want to join them, Ginny will show you to the room you’re sharing.  Harry should be getting here in about half an hour, and dinner will be at six-thirty!” You explained, the girl smiling as she carefully let Crookshanks down to the floor before she dragged her case up the stairs behind her.

Returning to the table, you sat in the seat across from your husband as you shared a tight-lipped smile. The two of you had decided that it was probably best to maintain a level of professionalism around your fellow Order members, the pair of you keeping all talk of your relationship outside of the meetings. These gatherings, however, continued to consist of endless bickering over the topics of Harry and Voldemort, the only subtle comfort you’d found during the evening had been Crookshanks crawling upon your lap for a snooze.

“I’m just saying that we can’t risk telling Harry about this, it’ll just be putting him in more danger and we never know who’s listening.” You said. “I mean, look at Pettigrew! He hid in your house for years without anyone knowing! Who knows what he’s shared with ‘You Know Who’!”

“Yes, but there aren’t exactly unregistered animagi running around everywhere, (Y/N).” Sirius remarked. 

“Says the unregistered animagus to the other unregistered animagus.” You snapped, glaring at your in-law from across the table.

You forced your mouth shut after that, not wanting to continue bickering with your friends, letting your thoughts wander until Sirius’ comment forced it’s way back to the front of your mind. You weren’t exactly sure as to why it was bothering you so much. Even after the meeting had concluded and you were the last one in the kitchen, baking cookies for the teens to snack on the following days, you couldn’t shake an odd feeling. As if there was something that your subconscious had registered that your conscious mind hadn’t yet comprehended. 

It was only when you turned to grab the tinfoil from the cupboard behind you that a cold sweat found your body, your mind finally registering what you’d missed when something caught the corner of your eye. Maybe you hadn’t noticed it because you didn’t want to believe it, or maybe it was that part of you realized just how long it would take for this shock to fully register.

“You must think I’m stupid,” You began, refusing to turn away from the dough you were scooping onto the cookie sheet, “or maybe you’re still just as arrogant as you were in school.”

You didn’t receive a response right away, causing both a wave of relief and disappointment to wash over you at your incorrect suspicion. But that all went away when you heard a shifting sound and the screeching of a chair.

“What gave me away?” A voice called from behind you in a smug tone you’d heard countless times many years ago.

“Oh please, Regulus.” You said, finally working up the courage to turn around as you fought desperately to conceal your emotions. He was older now, crinkles reaching the corners of his eyes, and his previously neat clothes were now battered, torn, and bloodstained, but apart from that he looked just as he did when he walked out the door years ago. “We were married - I know you better than you know yourself.”

He gave a silent chuckle as his smirk became a tiny smile and he looked towards the floor. An uncomfortable silence filled the room as a strong, unnamable tension continued to grow between you. While you expected an explanation, Regulus seemed to have anticipated a much happier reaction from you. 

“What, you’re not happy to see me?” Regulus commented, his confusion continuing to build at your indifference to his sudden appearance. “I’m still your husband, you can’t spare me a smile, at the very least?”

That’s when it hit you - he doesn’t know. Regulus, or Crookshanks, rather, hadn’t heard anybody mention that you’d moved on. It must have been some luck or twisted fate that he’d never been in the room when your relationship had been mentioned, which means he also doesn’t know about Teddy. But does he know about Archie and Cassie? Surely he would’ve asked about them immediately if he was aware.

“You’ve been gone for a very long time.” You said, your bitter tone contrasting the quietness of your voice, yet your volume grew with each word until you were shouting. “You abandoned me, how dare you show up now and expect me to welcome you back into my life with open arms. Do you have any idea what I have been through the past sixteen years?! You have no fucking clue exactly what you left me to deal with! And now you sit here with that smug expression, daring to call yourself my husband and expecting me to forgive you for the hell you put me through?!”

Regulus sat there with his mouth opening and closing, the first time you’d ever seen the quick-witted boy speechless. You could see the hurt in his emerald eyes as his mind desperately searching for something, anything to say. But you never got the chance, as the door opening as a third voice filled the room.

“Honey, it’s starting to get late, I think you should come to - dear god.” 

Both your and Regulus’ heads snapped towards the over of the voice, only for your eyes to meet your other husband. It didn’t take long for Regulus to process why Lupin was calling you “honey” and exactly where his comment was going, his eyes darting between the two of you over and over again, before a sigh escaped him.

“So that’s why.” He said, leaning further back into his chair and crossing his arms over his chest. “How long was I gone before you and the werewolf started -”

“Don’t!” You bit, probably a bit too loud because that was what finally caught the attention of two sets of ears upstairs. In the long, dark hall, two doors opened and two sets of eyes stared at each other from across the way. The eldest and youngest of the Black men eventually made their way down the stairs together, careful to be quiet as they attempted to discern what the voices in the kitchen were arguing about.

“There is a lot more going on than you realize, you can’t just expect everything to go back to normal after so long. Now if the two of you would stop bickering like children we can discuss everything like adults.” They could hear Remus say, presumably attempting to diffuse the situation considering how level-headed the man typically is. 

There was no sound as Sirius slowly peeked his head through the already open door, utterly disbelieving the sight before his eyes as his shocked exclamation broke the eerie silence.

“Holy shit!” 

“What?!” Archie gasped from behind him, squeezing into the room behind Sirius and peering over his shoulder to see a face that he’d only ever seen in photos before.

Regulus’ eyes widened at the sight of the young Black, clearly seeing so much of himself in the fifteen year-old boy. You being pregnant when he left definitely wasn’t outside the realm of possibilities, you were married after all, and suddenly a lot of your anger towards him seemed justified. 

“Is that my… Were you…”  He trailed off, unable to find the words he wanted to say as his mind still processed this new information.

Remus suddenly covered his shaking head with the palm of his hand, quickly exiting the room and heading out the front door to get some air. He didn’t want to watch Regulus steal his wife and his kids away from him - he just couldn’t.

“Fuck.” You cursed under your breath, holding your own head in your hands as you attempted to make sense of the insanity around you. “Archie, go back upstairs, I’ll be up in just a minute.”

“But-” Your son didn’t get to finish his protest, the look in your eyes when your head shot up to look at him scared him into compliance. In his entire life, he’s never seen that look of utter fury, especially not from you. He quickly left the room, anxious to fill his sister in on everything that had just gone down.

“Sirius, please deal with your brother while I go find my husband.” You breathed, not sticking around to hear a response as you made your way down the hall.

“Now where,” Sirius began, pulling out the chair at the head of the table and quickly sinking into it, “have you been?”

“I was the cat.” Regulus stated simply, the smirk he typically wore working its way back onto his face.

“You were Hermione’s cat?!” Sirius laughed, finding the irony of another “dead” person in his life winding up as being one of the trio’s pets. “Maybe we need to take a look at Harry’s owl.”

But the humour of the situation didn’t last very long, both their faces quickly falling as reality gained their attention once more. 

“I can’t believe I have a son…” Regulus trailed off, still in utter disbelief about the existence of the boy who looks exactly like him.

“And a daughter.” Sirius added, his brother’s eyes widening to saucers once more. “Twins, to be exact. Arcturus and Cassiopeia.”

“What’re they like?” He asked, desperate to learn more about the children he’d never known existed. Of all the things Harry, Ron, and Hermione talked about around him, they couldn’t have mentioned his children at least once?

“They’re perfect - don’t know where they get it from, probably somewhere on (Y/N)’s side.” Sirius said, a small smile forming as he talked about the kids he adored so much. “They’re both in Slytherin, just about to go into their sixth year. Archie is the quieter one, just like you were, while Cassie is a lot more extroverted and even joined the quidditch team her first year.”

“And (Y/N)...” Regulus suddenly grew solemn again, letting out a disappointed breath as he looked away to a random point in the room. “I need to win her back.”

“Regulus, I- I don’t think you can.” Sirius said, causing his brother’s head to whip back around to him, fury written all over his face. “Remus and her have been together for years, that’s not something that’ll just go away. He raised your children with her and they also have another son together, Teddy.”

“Then what am I supposed to do? Just give up?!” He snapped, a sinking feeling beginning to set in as he began to realize just how difficult getting you back to himself will end up being. 

“What’re you supposed to do? You’re supposed to get to know and form a relationship with the children who’ve thought you were dead their entire lives!” Sirius said. “And maybe you’ll establish a new relationship with (Y/N) again, one as co-parents. But her and Remus have both been to hell and back, so please, just promise me you won’t go about trying to sabotage their marriage.”

“But what about our marriage?”

Remus couldn’t hear any of the typical sounds of busy London that night, he was too anxious and all that he could pick up were the sounds of his heavy breathing. He was so distracted, in fact, that he didn’t notice you quietly slipping through the front door or sitting down beside him until you leaned your head on his shoulder. 

“How’d he come back?” Remus asked, wondering just what had happened to tear his life apart. 

“He was Hermione’s cat.” You said, your voice soft and sorrowful. “Turns out the Marauders weren’t the only unregistered animagi at Hogwarts. I’m just embarrassed it took me so long to figure it out, I knew it was his patronus but I guess I just didn’t want it to be true.”

“What does this mean for us?” Remus asked the dreaded question looming in his mind.

“What do you mean ‘what does this mean for us?’ Why would this change anything?” You asked in disbelief, raising your head from his shoulder to look at him.

“But he’s Archie’s and Cassie’s father-”

“So are you! You’re also Teddy’s dad.”

“And you were married. He was your husband first.” Remus added, gazing at you with a look of nothing but misery. “We were at Hogwarts together, I saw how utterly obsessed the both of you were with each other for years. You never even spared me a second glance, the only reason you even knew I existed was because I was friends with his brother… I’m not even mad about it, you should be with whoever you want to be with, and that’s Regulus. You’ve always deserved someone better than me-”

“Now you listen to me Remus John Lupin.” You began, your husband flinching at the use of his full name, something that you only did when you were angry. “You are who I want to be with, not Regulus; there’s no one better than you. If anything, I’m the one who doesn’t deserve you. Yes, we were married first, but that was for less than a year and happened seventeen years ago! We’ve been together for fourteen years, Remus, you’re my life now. I loved him in the past but he abandoned his family, you’re my life now and the one I want to grow old with. He might be Archie and Cassie’s father, but you’ll always be their dad.”

None of your eyes were dry by the end of your confession and you both spent the next several minutes just holding each other, relishing in the fact that the both of you were going to be okay. 

“Let’s go to bed, yeah?” You said, Remus nodding in response as the pair of you stood up. “We can deal with the rest tomorrow, Sirius can handle it for now.”

A/N: Okay, so I don’t personally believe the theory that Regulus never died and was actually Crookshanks, but it was what worked for this story so that’s what we’re going with! I’m so grateful for all the support this series has gotten, you guys are the best!
