Video Games I Enjoy Playing / Have Enjoyed Playing, in no particular order:
This post ended up being a lot longer than I thought it was going to be initially. Games towards the top are in more recent memory while most games descending towards the bottom I haven't played in a bit, but with many exceptions that I don't care to point out.
People keep asking me what games I like, so I decided to make a relatively cohesive list of everything I have played at one point and also developed positive memories with it, be they from gameplay or the people I got to talk to while playing.
I have highlighted games that I would consider my "Favorites" in orange, because orange is one of my favorite colors. Anything colored in orange I have *really* fond memories of, as opposed to the ones that I have positive associations with but may have some issues with the game in some way, whether it's not having played it very much at all, or not finding it as fun as those in orange, or some other reason.

which of the last category besides inscryption and bioshock would you say you'd recommend for me based off my game library lol. doesn't have to include just what you listed but anything that fits that descriptor that u know of. i want story-rich interesting games. but lovecraftian, horror, and cyberpunk would be my main preference.
Hmm, that's a good question because they're all pretty good and I always recommend experimenting with genres. Subsurface Circular and Pyre are more heavy on the reading with Pyre having more gameplay sections and being not all that horror/cyberpunk like, but like Hades (same devs, can also recommend Hades tbh) it has a really good style and story. Remember Me is a more action oriented game and can be a bit tricky since it's such a gimmicky and experimental game, but it's as cyberpunk as they get. Other story rich experiences that I've liked are mostly on the actiony side from double/triple A companies (I have too many 2D games I've yet to try, but I can probably list some I've heard some good about if you want). From that side I'd recommend the likes of Dishonored (19th century assassin), Deathloop (60s science fiction) or Prey (space horror), or even Watch Dogs 2 for a more down to earth experience on the cyberpunk genre. If those aren't your style, maybe try Boyfriend Dungeon, ABZÛ or Aragami. I'll have to dig through my library for some more 2D stuff, so if you want some more recs from that side, do let me know!

Based on what’s been has shown, thus far, Lince Works aims to raise the bar even higher this time.Īragami 2hits PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S platforms later this year on September 17. Striking from the shadows was the name of the game, thanks to Aragami’s supernatural abilities which enabled players to teleport between dark spaces and silently dispatch their foes. The stealth-based experience will additionally follow the undead assassins in their search for a cure that may rid them of the “evil” that has long cursed their existence.Īragami 2 takes place a century after the events of its predecessor, an innovative adventure that went on to sell an appreciable 700,000 copies. My dream RWBY videogames
Since asking everyone else about their dream RWBY games, I figured I'd have a go at it. With my dream games, barring one, I'd like for them to be standalone. Each game or game series would take place in its own universe but still retain common elements that make it RWBY, such as:
Huntsmen/Huntresses
Dust
Kingdoms/Academies
Aura/Semblances
Grimm
Teams
Though before carrying on with my dream games, there's a subgenre which I don't think would fit with RWBY and that is the SoulsBorne subgenre. Difficulty aside, the SoulsBorne games are all about slow and methodical gameplay and that doesn'f sit well with RWBY's faster, high energy combat style.
With that out of the way, let's get to it!!!
1. Bandai Namco
Series influence: Tales
Gameplay: Linear Motion Battle System
Story: Standalone AU
Bandai Namco's Tales series are pretty much just like playing a fantasy anime and the beautiful cutscenes by Ufotable enhance that experience even more. Imagine that? RWBY animated by UFOTABLE? That would be rad as hell!
In terms of gameplay, the Linear Motion Battle System is a signature to the Tales series and Berseria has my favourite version called the Liberation Variation. This means that the player is able to roam freely within the battlefield and each button can be assigned for a specific attack. The fast pace of battles fits right at home with RWBY and can make for some pretty fun combat.
2. Shift/Bandai Namco
Series influence: God Eater
Gameplay: God Eater System
Story: Standalone AU
God Eater's world could easily fit within Remnant. A group of young heroes battling monsters with crazy weapons and powers? Textbook RWBY! And once again, animations by Ufotable. Man, I love that studio!
The battle system has a feature where you can swap between melee, ranged and shield mode, which can be pretty handy and allows for a variety of different combos that you can use to defeat your enemies! The variety in Aragami can be an influence for the Grimm and the missions can be placed all over the various kingdoms, adding variety and exploration to the world of Remnant. You can't go wrong with God Eater, folks!
3. Square Enix
Series influence: Final Fantasy
Gameplay: Active Cross Battle System
Story: Standalone AU
I mean, RWBY was influenced by Final Fantasy and what better studio to tackle a JRPG-infuenced anime series than Square Enix themselves.
I LOVE Final Fantasy; the different worlds, the fun characters, the epic storylines and the variety in gameplay! It's just so awesome and Square Enix would have no trouble of making RWBY into an epic game. The gameplay style that I chose to go for was FFXV's Active Cross System, which focuses on real time combat, dodging, parrying and using the environment to your advantage. With some fine tuning and switch ups, such as swapping out weapon fighting styles instead of new weapons altogether, this could fit well with the cast of RWBY. Plus, the open world allows for tons of exploration, more so than God Eater, where you can take missions, go on hunts, search for upgrades, etc. The possibilities are pretty much endless.
4. Capcom
Series influence: Devil May Cry
Gameplay: DMC 5 style
Story: Canon STRQ prequel
A hack n' slash RWBY sounds like a no-brainer. Slicing up Grimm with style and savagery? Sign me up!!!
While more linear compared to the open worlds of both Final Fantasy and Tales of Berseria, the adrenaline pumping gameplay more than makes up for it. The style system ensures that players are able to keep on the offesensive, experiment with various weapon types (both melee and ranged) and increase their score ranks each time they encounter enemies. Compared to my previous dream games, this one would be more in line with the anime canon and would follow STRQ in the prime. Focusing on a group of adult Huntsmen can allow the writers to experiment with darker themes that wouldn't fit in the anime.
And those are some of my dream RWBY games. I'll be sure to make another list in the future and focus on how each story would be different from canon. Let me know what you think of my list and if you want to contribute with your own list, you're more than welcome to!

Because i never get asked the questions i want to answer i'm gonna answer ALL of these :D
1: Do you try to stay away from walkthroughs?
Normally first playthrough i'll try to play the game as is. Only if i get very stuck do i consult a walkthrough or guide. Second playthrough if i liked a game then yeah because i know i've missed things.
2: Company you’re always loyal to? Bethesda. Played pretty every game they've made either themselves or through their partners like Arkane Studios.
3: Best game you’ve ever played? Ooh tricky, but i'd have to say Dishonored. That game is near flawless.
4: Worst game you’ve ever played? Agony. I had high hopes for such a visual horror, but it was terrible. A close second would be Kholat. Such a great premise but terrible execution.
5: A popular series/game you just can’t get into no matter how much you try? Final Fantasy, in fact pretty much any JRPG.
6: A game that’s changed you the most? Cant pick one as every one of my favourite games have left their mark on me. I suppose Dishonored, Infamous and Deus Ex as they rekindled my love of painting, a hobby i had not done for years.
7: A game you’ll never forget? Primal. An old Ps2 game. The first game i played after Tomb Raider that had a kick ass female lead character who happened to be voiced by an awesome actress, Hudson Leick, who was Callisto in Xena. Now that's a game that should be remastered or remade, using same recorded voices as sadly the other amazing actor in the game, Andreas Katsulas, passed away.
8: Best soundtrack? Oh hell, there are SO many but let me list a few - God of War, Dragon Age Inquisition, Deus Ex Human Revolution and Mankind Divided, all Assassin's Creed OST, Skyrim, Dishonored and Dishonored 2.
9: A game you turn your volume off every time you play it? None, because why? if a game has such a bad sound, it isnt a good game.
10: A game you’ve completely given up on? There have been a couple i simply couldn't play due to my disability. Metro Last Light had a terrible interface, Hellblade's quicktime even on easy i couldn't cope with. Aragami's camera and interface were horrible.
11: Hardest game you’ve played? I play games for the enjoyment. I dont see the point in playing 'uber hard' games like the soulsborne type ones. That's not to say i dont enjoy playing the hardest difficulties on my favourite games, i just cant be bothered with the ones that punish you constantly. So the hardest for me would be the Assassin's Creed games as they have one set difficulty and early on can be a pain.
12: Shortest time you’ve beaten a game in? Infamous Second Son i finished in 2 days. It was a short game compared to it's predecessors. But i've since replayed it many many times.
13: A game you were the most excited for when it wasn’t released yet? Mass Effect Andromeda. And i wasn't disappointed before anyone asks. I love the story, characters and gameplay. I just wish there was more of it!
14: A game you think would be cool if it had voice acting? I play very few non VA based games, so cant say. But the few i have are perfect as they are, like Little Nightmares, Abzu and Journey work without VAs and i think would be spoilt with.
15: Which two games do you think would make an awesome crossover? Considering i'm writing a Deus Ex /Assassin's Creed cross over fic, their two universes work so well together it would be amazing to see them together. I think an Assassin in a Deus Ex game, rather than a AC game set in the Deus Ex era.
16: Character you’ve hated most? From what game? ...Hmm Hate is a strong word. Perhaps more disliked alot- Vivienne from Dragon Age Inquisition. Kaidan from Mass Effect, Alistair from Dragon Age Origins.
17: What game do you never tell people you play? None. I have nothing to hide. I play Fallout76!
18: A game you wish your friends knew about? Most of my friends know about the games i play but i always recommend - Prey, Vampyr, Thief (2014), Abzu, Soma, Layers of Fear and Observer.
19: Which game do you think deserves a revival? As stated above Primal. It had such a great premise. But i'd also love to see Thief carry on from the 2014 reboot and of course the next Deus Ex please!
20: What was the first video game you ever played? Now i'm showing my age here! The Amstrad version of Donkey Kong on my brother's pc.
21: How old were you when you first played a video game? Ummm, 10 i think?
22: If you could immerse yourself in any game for one day, which game would it be? What would you do? As in play a game? I do that most days! If you mean immerse yourself in a game world, then it would probably be the Infamous universe, post Delsin, hoping i was a conduit of some kind :)
23: Biggest disappointment you’ve had in gaming? The end to Mass Effect 3.
24: Casual, Hardcore, or in the middle? I play video games pretty much every day but i play for the story and the enjoyment. I prefer single player games over multiplayers, but i'm an avid game memorablia collector and avid game cosplayer, so i guess you could say hard middle.
25: Be honest; have you ever used cheats (like ActionReplay or Gameshark)? No. I never knew about them honestly.
26: Handheld or console? Console.
27: Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry? TOO MANY TO MENTION - One that had me blubbing like a baby was at the end of God of War when they release the mother's ashes. Holy shit with that score, it was so emotional. Mass Effect3 - Mordin's Death. Thane's death. Every time in an Assassin's Creed game when the protag loses a loved one. Yeah i get invested in the game stories alot.
28: Which character’s clothes do you wish you owned the most? ADAM JENSEN'S COATS.
29: Which is more important, gameplay or story? Story with good gameplay over great gameplay with no story.
30: A game that hasn’t been localized in your country that you think should be localized? None that i can think of. Maybe Hellgate London brought back to Western audiences.
RIPS SHIRT OFF TALK TO ME ABOUT VIDEO GAMES
1: Do you try to stay away from walkthroughs?
2: Company you’re always loyal to?
3: Best game you’ve ever played?
4: Worst game you’ve ever played?
5: A popular series/game you just can’t get into no matter how much you try?
6: A game that’s changed you the most?
7: A game you’ll never forget?
8: Best soundtrack?
9: A game you turn your volume off every time you play it?
10: A game you’ve completely given up on?
11: Hardest game you’ve played?
12: Shortest time you’ve beaten a game in?
13: A game you were the most excited for when it wasn’t released yet?
14: A game you think would be cool if it had voice acting?
15: Which two games do you think would make an awesome crossover?
16: Character you’ve hated most? From what game?
17: What game do you never tell people you play?
18: A game you wish your friends knew about?
